Material Categories / Hierarchies Middleware

Please ...
In the past we've loaded material categories and hierarchies in Spanish language, now we need to have the same material categories and Hierarchies en English language, my question is ... If I execute the R3AS again (DNL_CUST_PROD0, DNL_CUST_PROD1 ) it will lose the old GUID and lose the references with the documents already created? Or is it going to just identify the new language and create it in SRM without changing the category/hierarchy GUID's?
Do you know which would be this middleware behavior?

Hi
If you have already maintained the product categories in Spanish and then you extended them to English language, you dont have to replicate the categories again using initial replication transactions.
Delta download, takes care of such changes automatically. Please check if all your middleware configurations are in place or not as the data should have come automatically immediately when the categories were changed. If the filter values did not allow the categories to bring the changes at the time when the categories were changed in ECC, you will have to run the replication again for these categories. It will bring all the languages during replication.

Can't replicate material categories

Hi all,
I'm wiht a problem for replicate material categories in SRM 7.0.
I already did the configuration needed (SMOEAC, SMOGGEN, SMOGTOTAL, SM30 with tabels CRMCONSUM, CRMSUBTAB, CRMRFCPAR and SMOFOBJECT, transaction R3AC3, R3AS) and the problem is that no error occurs, in SMWP the load is successfull, but the categories don't appear in SRM.
In R3 the transactions SMQ1 and SMQ2 don't show any queue.
Can you help me?

Hi find below for the product cat
Steps to create the product category in SRM:
1) Create MM material groups in ECC client. This will create a transport. Go to SRM Tcode R3AS and select the object u201CDNL_CUST_PROD1u201D from the list and run it. You can monitor the job using R3AM1 in SRM. This will bring the material group into SRM. This can be seen in TCode u201CCOMM_HIERARCHYu201D in SRM.
2) Once it is done. Go to IMG in SRM and go to path SRM> SRM server> Cross app biz settings> Account aassigmnet> Define GL code for Acc *** Cat and Prod Cat. Maintain the GL code against this prod cat for all the account assignment codes. This is client specific setting and need to be done in every client by opening it. This GL code is given in the form in ticket.
3) Do a test and check if the product category is available for procurement in SC.

Material Item Hierarchies in SRM 7.0

Dear Experts,
we are on PPS 3.0, SRM 7.0, Extended Classic scenario and using the MM-SUS scenario for sending POs from SRM to SUS via ECC and PI.
The issue we are facing is the message mapping errors in PI, when the PO from SRM contains a material item hierarchy with free text subline items that do not have quantity, price or delivery date defined.
A free text item does not have any information defined, but XI expects the fields like quantity, Price, delivery date etc and hence the error.
The process flow is an item hierachy PO is created in SRM, replicated to ECC successfully and a Idoc is sent successfully to PI. The failure occurs in PI on its way to SUS.
Did any one face this issue with free text subline items in Item hierarchies and what is the resolution.

This speaks about the status of the Cart. This means that the Status of the Cart is AWAITING APPROVAL...I dont know which document you have gone through but procedure for adding a Custom Field in SRM 7.0 is:
1. Create a Custom field in the Database in SRM. Preferrably add the field in an include and extend thta include to the table in SE11.
2. Go to Portal Login of SRM and right click the part of the screen where you want to add the custom field. Click on More Field Help. The popup will give you the name of WebDynpro Applicaiton which controls that area.
3. Login to SRM via GUI and display the webdynpro application using SE80. Enhance the Webdynpro application.
4. Add the custom field to the Context of the WebDynpro Application View. You will be selecting the field from the database table while adding the custom field to the context
5. Add the field at the specified place in Layout Tab of the WebDynpro View,
6. Create a binding between the Layout Field and the Context
7. Activate the changes.... you will see the field in Portal login of SRM....

Add MARA-ATTYP - Material Categor to Material Master Maintenance or Display

HI Experts,
How can I configure to display the MARA-ATTYV - Material Category Field as editable in the Material Master Maintenance or Display in MM03? Is there a set of values for this field?

The field MARA-ATTYP can only be changed in a retail system , transaction MM41 and MM42, it's not available for trx. MM01, MM02 MM03.

Material Master Replication from R/3 to CRM 7.0

Hi ,
I am trying to replicate the Material maintained in R/3 to SAP CRM 7.0. Here is, what i have done up till now...
I have downloaded
Object DNL_CUST_BASIS
Object DNL_CUST_PROD0
Object DNL_CUST_PROD1
using tcode : r3as & all have been downloaded successfully.
But when i try to download Object Material from R/3 to CRM using the same tcode, its giving me an error saying
004 : Hierarchy for material types does not exist
005 : MATERIAL: Object will not be loaded
Right now i am able to see the categories & hierarchies in tcode COMM_HIERARCHY.
I would appreciate if some one can suggest suitable solution for this issue.

Hello ,
There might be two reasons:
1)There must be some inconsistency in CRM with respect to hierarchies.You can use reports COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL in CRM and then again download DNL_CUST_PROD1 and then object MATERIAL.
2)There must be some materials in R/3 which have been maintained for some obsolete hierarchy.
That means hierarchy is not present in CRM and/or also it might not be present in table T179 of R/3.But in table MARA,this hierarchy has some records.Please check and correct the records.

We have upgraded R3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 now we required in MIGO transaction Excise Item tab Indicator for Material type we need to change the description of this as RAW MATERIAL to INPUT MATERIAL and Consumable to Capital Goods which is in R3 4.7
Please suggest me any config.

Hi,
The above material type showing in MIGO screen, as you already declared the material under which material category in J1ID & so then value flowing.
You can not change here & you have few options to declared the material under which material categories.
You can keep all raw material as raw material & Consumable as asset.
But if your business needed very much, Just have a discuss with ABAPer for your requirement.

In this step you create material groups.
You also have the option of using the same transaction to carry out the following activities:
Creating superior hierarchy levels
Assigning the superior hierarchy levels to a material group hierarchy
Assigning the base material group to the material group hierarchy
Assigning characteristics profiles below material group level
Requirements
Your R/3 System is configured as an SAP Retail System.
Activities
1. Create superior hierarchy levels
   You create hierarchy levels using transaction WG01 (creating
   material groups) via menu options MG environment --> Hierarchy
   level --> Create
2. Assign the superior hierarchy levels to a material group hierarchy
   You assign hierarchy levels to a hierarchy using transaction WG01
   (creating material groups) via menu options MG environment -->
   Hierarchy level --> Maint. MG hierarchy
3. Create material groups (base material groups) and then maintain the
   pre-defined materials (reference material/material group material)
4. Assign the base material group to the material group hierarchy
   You assign the material group to the hierarchy using transaction
   WG01 (creating material groups)
5. Assign characteristics profiles below material group level
   You assign characteristics profiles using transaction WG01
   (creating material groups)
Further notes
When creating material groups and then maintaining the pre-defined materials (reference material/material group material) you should be aware of the following.
As these materials can be created automatically using a minimum of data, you should follow this procedure with a check and possibly further maintenance, especially of plant-specific data. The material group reference material should be defined in as much detail as possible so as to keep the workload to a minimum when you have to create more materials for this material group.
All hierarchy allocations involving a material group (base material group) and a higher or lower hierarchy level can be carried out on the initial screen (there is no need to switch to the detail screen). All further hierarchy allocations can be defined top-down when you maintain material group hierarchies.
Only the material groups are transported automatically!

There is never purchase order, but i want to manages expenses on material categories,
eventually have automatically the GL account after fullfilling material or material group.

Material creation using IDOC

Hi All
We are trying to create a Material with just a Basic View using FM : IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01, but we are unable to do the same since it returns errors about fields to be filled for other Material master views
like Plant , Sales Organisation etc
Has any one succesfully created a material using this FM

Multiple Plants for Material and customer

I have downloaded the Plants from the R/3 to CRM using DNL_PLANT object. The BP with Role 'PLANT' are created.
we have multiples plants for the same material,
I have downloaded the material master data, but in COMMPR01, the field DELIVERING LOC. is empty. Is that correct? How the system works with multiples plants.
What I can do?

Hi Lidisaid,
Ideally, the field Delivery location must get populated. Just ensure that the followig settings have been maintained.
1. Adapter Object MATERIAL
Tcode: R3AC1
Choose the tab Tables/Structures Within Object
Add tables MARC and MARC_KEY
Please also check that MARC_KEY that the field Inactive is not flagged for this entry.(This is needed to download the PLANT information as interlinkages to CRM Online in the table COMM_IL_PRDLOC.)
The plant information is seen in the Sales & Distribution tab of the product master by double clicking on the Distribution Chain.
2. Add Relationship type PRDLOCS- LOCATION OF PRODUCTS
Tcode: COMM_HIERARCHY
Check if the corresponding Material Categories for which the PLANT information is to be downloaded has the interlinkage type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS maintained in the RELSHIP types for the products categories that are to be downloaded to CRM from R/3.
Note:
If no relationship types are assigned to the product category, the PLANT information will be downloaded to the interlinkage table COMM_IL_PRDLOC. But even if a single RELSHIP entry is maintained then additionally the RELSHIP type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS also have to be maintained. E.g. MAT_FERT

Deliver material 1 hr earlier?

Dear Gurus,
We have an outbound interface which is used to provide material master/bom data to different legacy systems through middleware.
This middleware receives the matl/bom informations data at 5pm.
Now, they want to it at 4 pm so that sequentially the informations will be updated in different legacy systems.
Now, when i m checking the job in sm37, it is mentioned that 1pm, these jobs r running.
My question is, Can SAP deliver the material informations to middleware 1 hr earlier?
If yes, how do i proceed?
Pls help..

Product Category Hierarchies

Hi,
I have replicated the product categories from ECC to SRM without activating the hierarchies. Now, we wanted to use the Hierarchies, so can I just activate the hierarchies? or do I need to maintain the same in ECC? is there any hierarchy concept in ECC that we need to maintain/configure before replicating them to SRM?
Also I found a program called BP_PCH_ACTIVATE_REASSIGNMENT, which I guess will allow me to maintain product categories hierarchically in SRM? but wanted to see if any one has used this report or should I need to start from scratch?
Please share your experiences/expertise.

Material Replication still running

Hello,
I checked SMQ1 and SMQ2 in SRM and in my backend and those table are empty.
I set a filter and launch my material replication, but it still running for long long time. it is not normal and i don't know why...can you help me?

what is the Tcode to maintain the material categories like Restricted Stock, Unresrticted Stock etc for diff materials in a plant

Hi Balaraju,
If you want to maintaine different categories to the material stock means, you can do this while posting the stock.
Use the T.Code MB1C - Its used to enter the stock for the materials.
Here you have to give inputs like
Movement type
Plant
storage location
special stock etc.
Here Movement type and special stock indicator play crucial role while posting the stock.
Based on this movment type one the stock will be categoriesed whether its special stock, unresticted, etc.

Is EPM and BI a middleware?

When you go to OTN and all downloads you can see EPM under middleware.
Why Enterprise Performance Management and BI comes under MIddleware?
I am a bit confused how EPM is a middleware?

1 - Oracle fusion middleware is a set of different tools for different purposes. All tools provide different type of middleware functionalities. Please correct me if i am wrong.

2 - Which components are categorized as middleware in EPM?
Oracle probably terms all these products as Fusion Middleware instead of Middleware, but they should be similar.
3 - I have heard there are two ways to install EPM system. Simple installation (without using fusion middleware) or using fusion middleware installation. I think there is only one way and it is via fusion middleware. Please correct me if i am wrong.
Not sure what does it mean by using Fusion Middleware for installation- are you pointing to OUI?, I've never tried installation this way but there is an easy way to launch installation of EPM by double clicking an installation file. There isn't any type of installation (You can have a graphical installation or using Console)
Under Download-> Middleware-> Fusion Middleware section you can see weblogic installation files- weblogic is an application server required for middleware products.
