  • Material Deletion Issue

    Hi Gurus,
I have a issue, The client want to delete material from the material master. In the TCode MM06, I have made the material deletion flag. When I checked in MM02 it says that material is flaged at client level.
But the client requirement is that they want to delete the material permanently. I tried to do it in TCode SARA, but could not get it. When we check it in MM02 the message should be.." The material is no more exist ". Can any one give step by step process to delete the material permanently.

    Dear Babu,
If you want to delete a material, first you have to mark the material for deletion and then you have to archive the materials.
    Please check with,

  • Material deletion flag at storage location level is not working

I have a material that is created in some plants and also in some storage locations within each plant. If I mark the deletion flag at plant level I am not able to create a PO -> Me051 error message appears. Whereas if I mark the deletion flag at storage location level nothing appens. I am able to create a PO and also to create to goods receipt. Is there any customization that I should do in order to get the error message?
    Thanks in advance.

storage location level deletion flag is not checked at order creation.
it is assumed that you can change the storage location when you do the receipt.
MRP run is at plant level, so the requirement is valid even the storage location view is flagged for deletion.

  • How to extract material deletions into BI ?

    Hi experts,
Suppose if a material is deleted on R/3 side, how to extract the data of that deletion of material into bi system. Is there any field which is updated when a material is deleted ?
Please give the technical name of the field and the specified data source.
    Regards,
    Naveen .

    Hi,
you can´t delete materials on the R/3 side. It can be only archivated, if you don´t need it any more. You lost the archivated material if you delete the master data for 0MATERIAL (or another infoobject you use) on BW side and you make a full upload for master data from R/3. There is no update field for archivation.

  • Material deletion

    hi
i want to delete material which is not being used for long time stored in a storage location.
what is the process and is report to delete material based on storage location and plant

    Hi Chaithu,
Generally we dont delete the material which is not used.
we have a Field LVORM in table MARA. we set the flag value high for the material that is not used. Even though we dont use the material but the material is always stored in SAP for any further verifiaction .
This Flag indicates that the particular material is not used any more.
Field LVORM ---> Flag Material for Deletion at Plant Level
we also have this field LVORM in MARC--->Plant Data for Material
and MARD--->Storage Location Data for Material
so we just set this flag for the materials which we are not using.
    Best regards,
    raam

At the time of archiving ,system shows the  following error message s.
             1. MARC : xxxxxx - routing exists
             2. MARC :xxxxxxx- Use in routing -inspection plan
we have checked and found that  routing and inspection plan taask list for the problematic material but i dont know why system showing this error message .Kindly let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & regards,

it  has only a deletion indicator - and it still exists , that is what SAP is complaining about. you have to archive the other objects first.

  • Retail Material Delete Flag

    Hello to All,
We are using SAP-Retail ECC 6.0.
How can I put delete Flag for Material Master Records ?
    Thank You

    Hi,
As per SAP Note 743373, for Retail articles, it is not possible to set deletion indicator in tables MLGN and MLGT.  For standard materials, it is possible to use transaction MM06 to do so.
For articles blocking, you can change validity of date in Listing to date in "Listing View" in Article Master.
    If you want to discontinue articles, then follow the steps;
    (a) Identify the list of articles for discontinuation (using transaction code WSE1)
    (b) After executing the program, system set deletion flag indicator
    You can set article discontinue at following levels;
    (a) For the Vendor
    (b) For the Assortment
    (c) For the Distribution Chain
    (d) Client-wide
Hope this info will suffice your requirement.

  • Re: Material Deletion

    Hi,
I have one scenario which i need your expertise advise, that is material
was created as make-part in GUE1, however due to some reason, we don't
assemble this pump model here in GSI, but we counter-offer the alternative
    pump model to customer instead.
My query is...can i just mark this material for deletion in GUE1 & GUE1,
but this material is still valid in other Grundfos sister companies..  and
if i marked for deletion in GSI, will it impact to other companies?
How do i control for these marking deletion?  I find it everyone is asking
me to delete/undelete, and it became an daily routine for me... Please
    advise me, thanks.
    Best regards
    Siva

    hii
Ya u can do MM06 flag for deletion.
If u done that transaction its nothing but u marked for deletion , but u have to do archivation of material whaich are all marked for deletion .
Then it will get deleteed permanently.
Get the help of technical consultant.
    thanks

  • Material deletion from CJ20N

    Hello all,
I have deleted one of the materials uploaded in CJ20N, but the material remains in the History and can be seen when we click on setting and activate Display Deleted Objects.
How Can I delete this material so that it will not remain in the history too.
    KPG

    Hi,
In CJ20N see the F1 help in menu settings for "Display deleted objects"
    Display deleted objects
Specifies that (logically) deleted objects and objects with the deletion flag status are also displayed in the structure tree of the Project Builder.
It will remain in the history because it is logically deleted not permanently from the database.
