Material description change not possible after MM12 &MM13

After unicode & patch upgrade , i am not able to change material description in BAsic DATA1 of material master .This changes are done by running MM12 & MM13 tCode. Can anubody help me why i am not able to change material description of material after running MM12 & MM13

MM12 & MM13 are scheduled changes it will not change immediately , Pl.s scheduled the materials with proper chnages then check the changes after schedule date .
Could you explan me why you are using these codes for Description changes ? is there any specific requirement

Hi,
There are two scenarios which can happen while creating order:
1) Order is being created by EDI - Idoc from External System. In this case the data of the order cannot be changed.
2) You can use a user/screent exit in the VA02 screen, that once the order is saved after VA01 you cannot changed the material.
See if you can discuss this scenario with your technical person.

Report Material Description is not displaying for few records in Bex Report but for records it is coming and even the heading of the material Description is also not coming for this report.

Hi Phani,
For the text of the material in records, check if there is text maintained for that material in the master data. also try by changing the text to medium text and long text.
regarding header, you will have same heading for key and text, you may use Materail ID / Description as the heading if you want.

Changing not possible; field is read-only

Hello,
I need update Expected Value in Opportunity.
Expected Value is bound Opportunity.SalesForecast.ExpectedRevenueAmount.content.
When I try to update in adsl, "Changing not possible; field is read-only" error appears in frontend to the user.

Seems Opportunity has a lot of problems. As in my case i am trying to code in BeforeSave method that when ever the opportunity gets create by code i have to poppulate my CUSTOM Invonved Party ( i have created custom party role ).
And i have passed partykey.partyId.content and RoleCode but when i click on save it gives me the error about Role Category!
now when debugged that all Parties ( i debugged and checked whole collection) had the Role category every party from that collection had the Role category associated!
So i tried to add r
ole category by code! but that is also public write access set as FALSE!
So finally i again opened the book for clod , and a line is specificaly written that PartyID node will not be used after 1402 there will be separate node PartyNAme where u can pass partyid , name or email!
but unfortunately that is also not available in the opportunity BO!
So i am also kind of stuck!
Btw one thing i would like to mention is when u try to maintain your custom role in opportunity manually it works and data gets saved!

Material description is not showing in VL10H

Hi All,
I am running the report VL10H and facing a problem, step which is being followed by me, given below:-
1.Put plant and delivery date and execute.
2.click on label Edit -> Show/hide delivery.
3.Chose the field u201CMaterial descriptionu201D from Layout for output field.
Now here I am seeing that all the materials in this report, having SD Doc i.e. delivery has been created,
Material description is showing and remaining materials which have no delivery (showing in green color),
Material description is not being shown.
Can anybody suggest me regarding this?

I do not have any items shown which have already deliveries created
About which description are you talking, as I can see 2, one at item level and another one at header level ?

Document being distributed no changes not possible and btadminh could not be locked

I am getting ERROR: "document being distributed no changes not possible" & WARNING:"BTadminH could not be locked" in CRM WEBUI while trying to edit the order.
I checked all the BDOCs and smq1, smq2 ,smw01 here are no queues stuck here.
I also run distribution check FM, whenever i run it will be unlocked and able to edit. but this is not the solution for me because this error and warning getting to every new order (transaction) .

iPhoto 9.2 photo descriptions will not write - after a few letters words self erase! Program update downloaded earlier today, 24.10.11. Fine on my laptop, but my desktop is having problems.

Rebuild the main library.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

We have two BPELs which keep filling up the domain log with the line in the heading:
Recovery still not possible after 6760 attempts due to ORABPEL-11001...
I believe we have fixed any possible input directory issues but the error message continues to be written.
I expect that redeploying (rebooting server?) should end the messages but, either way:
Do you know if there is a setting on either the BPEL development process (jDev) or the SOA server where I can limit the number of attempts?

We are running on Unix.
The BPELs were deployed before the respective in-/output directories had been created. I think this might have caused the initial problem.
Once the directories were created (with full permissions -777), though, the messages continued.
I checked the descriptors on the deployed bpels and they seem to be pointing to the correct absolute path for the input files.
So, ASSUMING that the paths are now correct and permissions are ok:
Is there any way of making the attempts stop (as in "kill -9 annoying_bpel_process" ;) ?, or,
Is there a setting in the server admin side to limit the number of attempts in the future ?, or,
Do we need to redeploy the same Bpel after we created the directories ?

How to stop material description changed after changing customer on SO

I have updated material description on a SO. However after changing the Sold-to, the material description refreshed back to original.
Anyone knows how to stop system to change material description back to default?

In standard SAP when we change sold to party in sale order system redetermine prices and taxes but this is new thing for me that system also redetermines material description. Amitesh Anand I have also chcked this in my system and material description is getting changed after changing the customer.
Field is VBAP-ARKTX and you can ask your ABAPER to write the code in userexit MV45AFZZ and
USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP. I have checked this system is calling this exit. Give it a try and update the status.

Return of delivery not possible after material was invoiced and payed

Dear all,
currently I have the problem, that a goods receipt happend for three pieces, quality inspection was done and then the material was payed at the supplier.
Now we realize, that one material is not required anymore and we want to sent it back to the supplier. Now I would like to make a return of delivery which is not possible anymore as the material was already payed.
What else can I do? I would like to sent back the material and get a credit note from the supplier for the next purchase.
Can anyone help what would be the right process to follow? At the moment we canceled all the payments and goods receipts and everything and then made a new goods receipt. But I dont think that this is the proper way.

1. You can scrap the material at vendor's or your place...
2. You have to cancel the Gr and make the new correct one...
3. Post the material to blocked stock ...and scrap from there#
4. Post to QI and send back to vendor...
and if you do wanna send this material to vendor and want back money for wrong material, then create subsequent credit...

Disable material description SHD0 not working

Hi all,
I'm trying to use SHD0 to disable the material description field from being changed in VA02.
I've created the variant, and in the popups, selected 'invisible' and 'output only' for the corresponding field.
After I open the transaction, the field is still not disabled (I am still able to change it). Does anybody know why?

Create ZVA02 and inside screen assign created variant and then run ZVA02

MR21 price change not possible

Dear pal,
I have a material code X with valuation type RM_IND
In material master accounting view1- Price determination is 3 with price control S.There is some stock of material with some value.
I am trying to change the price in MR21.
System prevents me from proceeding price change for X RM_IND not possible.
There are pending PRs and POs.
How to go about ?

I don't know why search help in MM60 F4 at material field.
Use search help: Material Number/Material Description
It does not work when I selected material number because of it did not return material number to field.

Check whether you have an flag for import and export next to the MATNR field.
if that is okay, then open search help MAT1
select there search help MAT1_A then click the big button for parameter allocation, check if related parameter MATNR is to collective search help parameter MATNR.
if that is okay, then close the window, and doubleclick MAT1_A
MAT1_A ha sagain included search helps.
Select there your MAT0M and click the the big button for parameter allocation and check there the same as above.
Further check whether all search helps, MAT1 and MAT1_A and MAT0M ar active. (you can see that next to the description)

Activating mobile datanetwork not possible after downloading 3.1.2 software

Realy hope someone can help me out here. I just installed the 3.1.2 software on my i phone 3G and now i cant use internet anymore! Everytime i try its giving me the message "mobiel datanetwerk activeren niet mogelijk" wich means activating mobile datanetwork not possible. Realy weird because i didnt change anything other than downloading this software.
Does anyone know how i can solve this?

It should show the same as mentioned in MM01. Plz check again d MM03 as description for a matieral wil always b picked from Mat. Master only across SAP.
If still ny specific issue then share otherwise plz close d thread.
