Material Doc (MB1B) Print Issue

Hi friends
I want to print material document once transper posting is done through MB1B Tcode.
i know we can use mb90 tcode to print material document.
requirement is once user save material document automatically print should be done in back ground for that document.
Please any one explain how can i do this.

which movement type are you using?
Which transaction / event type are you using? if you are posting GR, you should use WE or WF. If you are posting GI and transfer posting, you should create condition record with WA.
You should use Date/ time field as "4" for automatic
Check whether you assigned a printer in communication tab.

but when i crate crystal report for invoice i want to print the time of document creation then i attach the Doc Time field in Crystal from OINV table but it show 1045 ie in Number
when i go to format table there is nmo option for time there is nuber option
So how i print it in time format

In SAP Table it gets stored in this format only which you mentioned. But in CR you are right. It goes like a number.
But you can manage this in other way........

PRINTING DELIVERY CHALLEN - MATERIAL DOC OF 541

We have a requirement of printing Delivery challen which is Material document of 541 movement type.
Now I have to link the Material document line item to P.O line item. for this I was referring MSEG table where I have P.O No but not the line item no. Without which I am not able to link P.O with material document.
I am taking this linking to display the receiving material (Subcontracted material) on Delivery challen.
Can anybody tell me how to link this.

For subcontracted material we issue input material to vendor through MB1B (Mov type-541)
My client want take printout of this material document which should have the material issued to vendor and the receiving material against this issued material (Which is subcontracting material / Converted material).
Now To fetch the subcontracting material / Converted material code having material document with me I use MSEG where I will get P.O no but line item no is not available which is required to link material doc with P.O.
Is there any other way fetch the subcontracted material code based on MB1B material doc.

Chk your setting as below to get GR print out.
. Maintain the Printer Name in MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control-> Gen Settings-> Printer Setting Enter the local printer where you want to print your Goods posting document
2. Ensure that in MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Item Print Indicator, 1 stands for Matl Doc print out
3. In MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Print Version, maintain Print Version 2
4. In MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Maintain Print Indicator for Goods Receipt/GI/Transfer Posting Documents
Here for Particular mvt type 101,201,121,311,313,501,521,561 etcu2026 Maintain the Print item as 1--Material document printout
5. In MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Maintain Output Types, for the Output types WE01, WE02 and WE03, ensure the following--
Select the particular Output type then goto Details
a. Default Values: Dispatch Time is 3 or 4 as per reqmt. and Transmission medium is 1
b. Print Parameter is 7
6. In MM->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Printer Det->Printer Determination by Plant/Str Loc , Maintain the Output device for all your Plants
7. Go to MN21, for Tr Type WE, Print Version 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
Now the settings are ready for Printing Material doc
8. While doing MIGO, ensure that in General Tab, you get "3 Collective Slip" beside the Print Indicator and you tick mark the field.
9. Now depending on the setting in 5a, the Matl doc is printed. If it is 3, you have to print it using MB90. If it is 4, it is printed immediately.

Label printing should be only once for a material doc number

we have a tcode in which if we provide a material doc no. and number of prints..but once we print the labels,
then again if we have to print for the same material doc no..it should not print..instead it should ask for permission to print that number again..is there any option available in scripts to do like this?

My unusual (?) printer issue -- Prints only partial lines when printing in black (part 2)

I have been using my HP Officejet J4680 with my Win7 PC for several years and relatively problem-free -- until about six months ago.
My printing issue might be rather odd. So odd, in fact, I’m not sure how to succinctly describe it. I’m not too techie, but I will try….
This printer will print some lines correctly, other lines print only partially, and some lines don’t print at all.
This oddity happens ONLY when I print in black. When changing the color of the text to any other color other than black the page does print correctly.
Further, this issue seems to occur ONLY when printing certain things/files/formats. For example, material from most websites will print correctly. As will most .PDF files. Printing files such as .txt, .doc, .wps, etc., seem to be the most problematic.
Fixes I have tried include:
Uninstalled and reinstalled printer
Run HP’s diagnostic tools (including checking for any driver updates)
Installed several new black ink cartridges
Cleaned and re-aligned printer head
Lastly, the “copy” feature continues to produce good results. These problematic symptoms seem to occur only while using the “print” function.
Short of relegating this printer to the trash, I’ve tried everything I can think of. Help/ideas/suggestions appreciated.

Pick list print issue?

Hello Friends,
I have a printing issue with my client,
For specific customers they ship very large kits(BOM's) and require ship labels to print for each component listed on the picklist , in addition to the regular ship label for the header material YX.
These components are item category YF (purposely omitted for delivery note).
They do not want this to print of every customer, Please advice how we can add a logic to print shipping labels for components only for specific customers.

Currently i am working on similar object
We have developed Zprogram for the project. We are using bar code printer which is used to print the lables.
1. Developed a zprogram with selection screen child & parent material radio buttons. so whenver u click child material it will create label only for components apart from header material.
2.Program generates a text file with component details and downloads it to the Application server
3. Once the text fiole get downloaded & bar code printer is ON , it will automatically prints the labels. If the barcode printer is OFF, then u will be able to see the text files

Unable to post the excise through J1IG w.r.t material doc....

Please need your inputs....
We are configuring the trading import scenario.
We created the material doc through MIGO and the user need not to capture in the exicse during the MIGO they need to capture the excise entries through J1IG.
But I am unable to capture excise through J1IG with reference to material doc
System will not capture all values.
I can able to capture the excise during the MIGO but I am unable to capture the excise with material doc through J1IG
Please give your valuable suggestion.

We are using serial no functionality for that perticular material.
While doing Goods issue wrt STO (351) we select serial nos for eg (10001 to 10105), qty-105.
While doing GR wrt PO i.e. STO (in Rec Plant) those serial nos are not reflected.
So we needed GR wrt Mat doc.

I did all the setting to take the printout of GR
WE01 is the output type
i did the settings like
1 Define Printer...at OMBR
2. Enable material doc printout at OMB5
3. Also Assign the printer to WE01 output type in OMJ3 Tcode
5. Maintain the condition record in MN21 Transaction/Printed version/Print id

6. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Printer Det->Pr Det by Pl/StoLoc, maintain the Output device for all your Plants
7. Go to MN21, for Tr Type WE, Print Version 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
Now the settings are ready for Printing Material doc
8. While doing MIGO, ensure that in General Tab, you get "3 Collective Slip" beside the Print Indicator and you tick mark the field.
9. Now depending on the setting in 5a, the Matl doc is printed. If it is 3, you have to print it using MB90. If it is 4, it is printed immediately.

Whats the link between Migo ( Material Doc no ) & resp Accounting doc no

In order to generate one development in MM. I need to know Link between Material Doc number ( MIGO ) transaction & Accounting document generated for that particular Material doc number which we browse thru Follow on Doc.
In case the Number range for both is same the solution is easy but we have No ranges for both these are different.
Can experts help me to identify link at Table / Field level which is critical for our Abap Development.

The link between the Material document & Accounting document is Movement type.
Goods movement such as Goods receipt /Goods Issue /Stock transfer is always based on the type of " Movement type " which we are using and 2ndly the type of material that we are procuring and receiving or issuing or posting the goods movements. Because based on the Material only the properties of material depends. For eg. for Raw material stock updation is possible for Quantity & also for Value. That means whenever you receive the goods of Raw material agains the external vendor (these goods are received against the PO with r.to. 101 Mvt type), then both Quantity updated (for this Evidence is Material document) and Value is also gets updated (for this Evidence is Accounting document), when you receive the whole stock into Unrestricted use stock /storage location.
Note:: The movement type is linked with Value string: 101 - Stock updation - by Quantity - by Value - Stock indicator - account modifier with the help of Valuation class - A/c category reference - Material type.
For example: If its receiving of goods against PO is through MIGO using 101 Mvt type.

Simply can say that, Movement type plays the majour role in every goods movements and further that shows with the evidnece of material document and subsequent accounting document depending upon the movement type. And this is the link between the Material document and accounting document.

Question re: HP printer issue

I've posted recently re: my HP LaserJet 1320 not working with my new iMac.
I had a thought. Without thinking or doing much research first, I simply installed the drivers etc. from the HP disc that came with the printer. The more I read on here, I tend to think that this wasn't necessary as apparently the driver is included in the OS.
Would a clean re-install of the OS help? Is it worth a try? Is it difficult to do, for someone who is new to Mac and has never had to install an OS of any kind?
Has anyone with similar printer issues tried this approach? I appreciate your input.

I've reinstalled Windows hundreds of times, and OSX dozens, so I'm probably not a good reference on this! But, OSX is a piece of cake! Slide the disk in, select install and follow the prompts. Be sure to back up all data that you want to keep!
I strongly suggest in an external Firewire drive the same size as your system drive for backups. This way you can always have a bootable backup of your entire system. -This is a whole new topic- Search "backup" here & you will find lots of good advice from the pros.
Now, can you rescue your system as is? I'm not sure - I would give it my best. But if you have nothing to loose, the reinstall only takes about an hour or so - plus time to install & update any applications that you have.

New MacBook Pro has real printing issues. Is it just me??????

I love my MacBook Pro but I am having horrible printing issues.
When I move my MacBook Pro from work to home I have to reboot everytime to make printing work otherwise I get error messages printing from Safari. Microsoft Office docs will print BUT only if I press the print button, if I go via the print menu I cannot press the print button.
This is causing me all sorts of pain.
Printers are an HP PSC2500 at home and an HP PSC2700 at work.
Machine was all 'transferred' from a Powerbook 1.67Ghz that was working perfectly.
Does anyone else have this problem or any idea what the fix could be??????

Archive & Install, now printing issues

Hi all,
I have two printers: an HP6110 AllinOne, and an Epson Stylus Photo 1200. I recently performed an archive and install of my system, and then Software Update updated my system to OS10.4.11 (it was 10.4.10 before the archive and install).
There are two parts to my current problems.
1. The original Epson driver does not work anymore. (Version 1.29 is what I have, can't find anything later.) The CUPS/Gutenprint driver does work but doesn't access all the features of my Epson printer. So, what that means is that the color calibration settings I have for the Epson driver are no longer accessible. I need to be able to print color that is correct and calibrated to my monitor color.
2a. Printing a page to the HP6110 off the internet results in a blank page being spit out, followed by a page that is cut off at the top, meaning only the bottom half of the page is printed on the paper. I have tested this printing from FireFox and Safari.
Page setup seems normal.
The HP driver version is 2.7.2. I have tried to download from the HP site but it always times out, so I don't know if I have the latest driver or not. (I think it's something with my firewall settings, but I haven't been able to figure it out. One thing at a time.)
An internet page prints normally when sent to the Epson, but the HP is my workhorse printer. The Epson can do large format, so I usually keep large paper in it and just use it for that and for color correct printing. (Greg S., if you're out there, I tried to download the HP driver from OpenPrint with no luck.)
2b. Although I can print to the HP6110, the color looks terrible--all washed out. I will admit that I have not gone into Adobe Bridge yet to see if my color settings survived the Archive and Install. So that may fix it for my Adobe apps. Word docs are not the same as they were, but not as badly off as the Adobe docs.

Update: Re Issue 2b: I checked the color settings in Adobe Bridge for my Adobe apps. They are all set to my original settings, using the calibrated profiles, so all is well there.
I have been reading about other printing issues and may try some of those solutions offered:
1. unplug everything for a while--although why this would solve it who knows? Crazy! But easy, so worth a try.
2. download and reinstall the 10.4.11 update from the Apple web site, instead of running it via Software Update.
3. reinstall OS10.4.x from the original disks and then download updates only through when you could last print, 10.4.9 or 10.4.10.
I will post my results!

BATCH in Material Doc - MSEG-CHARG, BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE??

HI Experts,
I got a requirement like,
Threre is a item 10 of qty 5, in a delivery, its batch is BATCH SPLIT.
I need to create a material document from this delivery/item.
So, currently material doc is creating via BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE from this delivery, fine, but, when come to BATCH.........ONLY the last batch of delivery item 10, is coming over/populating in MSEG-CHARG..........but, I need to bring all the batches of the item of the delievry into materail doc.........so,
(In this BAPI, I can see the goodsmvt_serialnumber for serial #s fine.)
1- for when coming to batch issue, Is I need to populate the goodsmvt_item table for EACH BATCH as a seperate item/record in this table , for the same 10 item of delivery?
I mean, Is I need to create a ITEM/record in Materail doc - MSEG tbl, for every BATCH of item 10 of delievry?
