Material document skipped numbers-Critical-Critical-Help please

Hi,
I ahve observed one issue in the number range of the materila document posted with standard 50 series.
My first GR document with MVT type 101 got generated correctly with number 5000000000 & the corrosponding accounting document with also 5000000000.
However my second material document got generated with number 5000000010 & corrosponding accounting document with 5000000001.
WHy the system has skipped numbers while generating material document ?
I am using standard functionality and have not alterd anything.
Interstingly when I saw in OMBT, it showed me current number range for material document as 5000000019.
What does it means.How can I rectify this issue ?
So far I am posting in only one company code but soon I will be working in 4-5 company codes.
Please suggest why this is happening & what should be done ?
Is there any buffer got associated ?
This is very critical & i need to find out the solution soon.

Thanks for the immediate feedback but why the system behaves differently in Dev,Quality & Production.
When I checked in Dev,it has not skipped anything eventhough the settings in both are standard.
Will this create any inconsistency in production ?
Also how system starts generating the numbers sequentially later ?Is it based on your experience or any specific reason behind that.
Also I would like to know that whether system will generate documents fro 5000000001 to 500000009 or not.

Material Document- Serial Numbers

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I have to fetch the serial numbers of line items in a material document. Please help me in this regard either if any BAPIs available or at the table level. Your help is greatly appreciated.

1) Material serial number activation as follows.
Using T-Code MM01- material code creation to the respective plant,storage location,sales org and then give input data to the material view screen basic data1, basic data2...... In the view Plant data / Stor.2 input screen General plant parameters options Serial no.profile - '0001', SerLevel - '1' data to be given during material creation time. After that doing MIGO for the material, it will ask material serial number.
2) Material serial number purpose as follows.
a) Material identification based on serial number.
b) Material serial number wise issues in FIFO method.
c) Material stock.

Please put material document number in MB51 header data...input material document ..once report is executed please double click the document ...In new screen you will find FI document ..This will show you acc document..FB03 display of accounting document..in menu...environment...document environment...original document. this will also show you the material document.

ML81N Service entry sheet and material document

Hello,
Why SAP creates a material document "WE" and another document "Lerf" when you create a service entry sheet using the ML81N transaction?
I have seen too that if you don't set up the "No limit" flag in the purchase order then you can make a lot of entry sheet but SAP doesn't create the same number of material documents.
Therefore, it can be a scenario where you can have a document entry sheet but you don't have the corresponding material document.

The GR document is an official document. The system creates the material document automatically when you accept and save the entry sheet (ESSR-KZABN = X).
"Lerf" in the PO history is a service entry sheet, the material document is the same material document which MIGO would create.
Please check the EKBE and MSEG for the entries.
You can save for the same PO several entry sheets and the system automatically creates material documents for these entry sheets when you save and accept the entry sheets. It is not possible to save more than 1 material document for the same entry sheet.
But it is possible to release entry sheets collectively in ML85:
For example you created a PO with service quantity 20 and you can create as many entry sheets as the quantity from the PO service item (20) and the overdelivery tolerance this allows. All of these entry sheets will refer to the same PO item. In ML85 you can release all of these entry sheets in the same step in ML85 and the system will create a material document (just 1 material document) with as many items (BUZEI) as many different entry sheets you saved for your PO item...

Need material document number

Dear all,
I have an issue. Inorder resolve it i need run a run aset up in OL1BW using the material document number.
I have the process order, period, plant and material, but i need to find the corresponding material document number. Can anyone help me how to proceed further?
The datasource is 2lis_03_BF.
Pls also diferntiate between material and materail document number.

The source for 2LIS_03_BF, as Arun pointed out, are R3/ECC tables MSEG and MKPF.
Material - Refers to the material number, or part number, that is being managed. Typically, the material on an R3/ECC system is an 18-byte generated number to identify it to the system and has an industry accepted part number (Manufacturer Part Number) as a conversion exit so that you can enter either on R3/ECC and get the correct material number.
Material Document - Refers to the internal document used for tracking the movement of a material. Examples of material movements would be goods receipts and goods issues. MKPF is the Material Document header table and MSEG has the Material Document line items.
To find the Material Documents, you're going to have to query the MKPF table in your R3/ECC environment to get the document ranges needed for the setup jobs that you plan on executing.

BAPI for read FI documents in material document

with transaction ME23N i can display Material Document and in the tab 'Doc. info' i can display FI Documents if i click on the button. I'm looking for a BAPI to read this FI documents from the material document.

If you mean that you need to know what BAPI's a particular transaction uses, which I can only assume that's what you mean, then you should access the code behind the transaction and search for 'CALL'. That normally is the standard method that think that most people use.
Suppose you want to find the bapi for creating a sales order, you usually use transaction VA01 for this.
1. Find out the package of the transaction.
Start Va01 go to system --> status.
Double click on transaction
Package is VA
Open this package in SE80
Open business engineering-->Business object types
Find the BO which sounds the most appropriate
I would suggest BUS2032 Sales Order
Double click.
Open methods.
Find the released method with from data or something similar in the name
, Createfromdat2
Position the cursor in it and click the program button
Scroll down to find the bapi used in this method
With this way you can also find out programs and FM's
2. Start va01 go to system-->status
Double click transaction VA01
Double click on package
Read the application component. (this is SD-SLS Sales)
Then open the transaction BAPI
Sales and distribution>Sales>sales order
createfromdat2

Xbox 360 and apple airport ip address HELP PLEASE!

hey i just got an xbox 360 and i got the wireless internet adapter than microsoft makes to pick up my wireless internet. I have an ADSL ethernet modem that is plugged into my Airport, which is streaming in my house. So on my xbox i got the test for the wireless connection to work. then the test for the IP address failed. I have looked online to find the IP address, but i dont know which one i need (of the computer? the airport? the modem box?) and the subnet mask, and gateway, and the DNS numbers. can anyone help please? i have mac os X if that helps

i think that's what i mean. sorry im so confusing. i have a mac laptop, which is connected to my wireless network at home, which is an apple airport (you know the little white box that plugs into the electrical outlet) which is also plugged into an ADSL ethernet modem box from US Robotics (which is my cable internet). so then i will be able to find the IP of the airport where? network settings? and last thing, if that is the gateway for the xbox, what is the subnet mask, and the actual ip address of the xbox?
also, if this helps, when i look at Network, under System preferences, Airport is the network, and under TCP/IP it says that the IP Address is 10.0.1.2, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and the Router is 10.0.1.1

then 100000011 then 100000019.... 20 .. 21.. 23...29..30....like that.

Hello Venkatesh,
This issue with the internal number assignment occurs due to bufferingin the application server. Buffering increases the performance of theserver and documents don't loose their properties. Nevertheless, it may cause gaps in the internal number assignment and sometimes the numbers may not be chronologically assigned. As I stated before, this won't cause inconsistencies in the system and is usually not an inconvenient, unless you require sequential number assignment in your documents due
to legal reasons. In this case, you'll have to disable buffering in the application server.
in order to disable buffering Just access transaction SNRO and enter the Object type MATBELEG[ Number Range for Material and Phys. Inventory Document ] In change mode, in the menu bar, please, follow the path:
Edit -> Set-up buffering -> No buffering

Get Serial Numbers of a line item in a material document

Hello everyone!
My requirement goes like this: For a material document, if a material code is serialized, I will also need to retrieve the corresponding serial numbers listed in the material document. Is there a function module or table that I can use to connect the serial numbers to the material code? If for example in matdoc 0001, material x1 the serial numbers are 1 and 2, then in matdoc 0002, material x2 the serial numbers are 3 amd 4. when I retrieve the details of matdoc 0001, I will only get serial numbers 1 and 2, not 1,2,3 and 4.
Please help... points for any helpful answer.

Then how can be the possible permutations and combinations logic to find out that, 34 = 19 + 15 and

Where is actually the problem, if one only reversed 0 quantity?
Why do you think you need to reverse this reversal again?
why with year 2010?
Dont you do anual inventories? Such stock counts have corrected your stock anyway. if you start cancelling older movements then you create stock inconsistencies again.
