Material download to CRM from R/3

Materials created in R/3 are downloaded via the MBDoc PRODUCT_MAT . In this BDoc there is a structure called COMM_PROD_VAR whose description says variant data.
The same structure is present in SBDoc as PRDCT_OBJECT. In this the segment CUCFG with it dependent segments are linked to configuration.
Any idea of when these segments CUCFG in bdoc PRDCT_OBJECT or structure COMM_PROD_VAR in BDoc PRODUCT_MAT get filled when data is downloaded from R/3.
Would be grateful if you could share your knowledge.

Structure of PRODHS in R/3 should be in sync with
SPRO >SAP Reference IMG >Cross-Application Components >SAP Product
>Product Category >Define Category Numbering Scheme for R3PRODHIER of CRM.
Once you update this, try downloading DNL_CUST_PROD1 (DNL_CUST_PROD0 should also be downloaded for MATERIAL download).

Material download form CRM

Hi All,
I am looking for information as regards the download of materials from R/3 to CRM. At the moment there are materials in CRM for 4 Sales Org.
I have updated the filters to include the new Sales Org.
My question is should I run an Initial Load or a Delta Load to bring the materials down?

Hi,
You can set the filters according to the erquirements.
And then run Initial Load R3AS.
Also you can go for Synchronization download.
You define your request through R3AR2. also you acn specify your filters here.
Start Download thru R3AR4
Monitor Download thru R3AR3.

We are trying to download the equipments from ECC to CRM, they are downloading to CRM individually.We want to get them in the hierarchy structure as they are in ECC. Like relevant IObjects grouped to-gether.

Below link you can find the details for replicating the Equipment from ECC to CRM.
SPRO> CRM>Master Data--> Installed base --> Replication of equipment from ECC --> Prerequisites and General Information for Equipment Replication
For equipment config download below are the activities.
Initial Download Procedure
1. Activate the adapter object EQUI_CONFIG in mySAP CRM.
Follow the menu path: Architecture and Technology > Middleware > Data Exchange > Object Management > Business Objects and select the active/inactive box for EQUI_CONFIG.
Examine the filter settings for EQUI_CONFIG. For a each source site, set the filters to the same settings as for the object EQUIPMENT.
Don't forget to regenerate the filters!
2. Start the initial download process for EQUI_CONFIG.
Follow the menu path: Architecture and Technology > Middleware > Data Exchange > Initial Load > Start.
Delta Download Procedure
1. Activate the object class EQUI_CONFIG.
Follow the menu path: Architecture and Technology > Middleware > Data Exchange > Delta Load from R/3 Back-End.
You may wish to activate the EQUI_CONFIG delta download if you are downloading changes for EQUIPMENT.
If you want R/3 to apply filters during the delta download, use transaction SM30 and maintain view CRMPAROLTP as below:
Parameter name = CRM_FILTERING_ACTIVE
Parameter Name 2 = EQUI_CONFIG.
Parameter Name 3 = EQUI_CONFIG
User = CRM
Parameter Value = X

Product Hierarchy download into CRM from ECC6

Recently we have added few Product hierarchies into ECC6 (level 2, 3 , 4 and 5 hierarchies)
now they are not replicated into CRM...
how can I replicate them into CRM from ERP6... quick guidance....?

it will be done maually,
- On CRM
For Defining the Product Hierarchy Strucuture :
CRM IMG -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Product -> Product Category -> Define Category Numbering Schemes
   - make new entry
          Number Scheme     R3PRODHIER
   - after that select the new Scheme, and choose a new entry (should be the same as structure PRODHS on ECC)
For Defining Product ID
CRM IMG ->Cross-Application Components->SAP Product->Basic Settings->Define Output Format and Storage Format of Product Ids (tx. COMCPRFORMAT)
note : should be matched with ERP (Tx. OMSL)

Condition Table download to CRM from ECC

Hi
I have to download condition tables created by customer(say A872, A888) into CRM system.
When I see the adapter objects R3AC5, there is no adapter object present for the same.
Please tell me what are the sequence of steps required for the same. Like mapping tables to adapter object..doing any other config or development for download.

Hi Hits,
The condition table A500 onwards are the customer specific tables which SAP provides. So you need to create your own adaptor objects for these tables. The steps are really simple.
Copy the adaptor object DNL_COND_A002 and give the name ZDNL_COND_A872 follow the same step to create object ZDNL_COND_A888.
Reffer to the oss note 514952 which might also required.

Material download - dependencies

Hallo,
if i try to restrict the initial download of materials from ECC to CRM only to those materials that have sales data in VKORG ABC and VTWEG in XYZ i set filters in business adapter object MATERIAL for table MVKE
VKORG EQ ABC
VTWEG EQ XYZ
But i cannot set a filter like that in MARA because there are no fields VKORG and VTWEG so i do not have a filter for MARA at all
Does the system download all MARA entries then or does it restrict the MARA downloads only to those materials that apply to the MVKE filters

How to update Factory calender in CRM from ECC?

Factory calenders are downloaded to CRM from ECC, using adapter object DNL_CUST_CAL_C in Initial load (R3AS). My doubt is, whenever a new holiday is added to Factory calender in ECC, how the particular added holiday will be downloaded to update the same in CRM system?

Hello Maddy,
In my system download object DNL_CUST_CAL_C is for the download from the CRM (online) database to the old consolidated database (CDB, for the offline Mobile Sales scenario). You could see this in transaction R3AC3.
For your scenario I don't know how to download. This thread here speaks of a manual adjustment in transaction SCAL.

Material download issue due to Lexicographical setting mismatch in CRM &ECC

Hi All,
We are facing material download problem due to Lexicographical settings.
In ECC, 'Save Lexicographically' is checked and maintained. While in CRM it is not maintained.
Now, we have aroung 10,00,000 materials in production system, and now we are facing problem with numeric material with leading zeros in replication from ecc to crm.
Please suggest what should we do.
If we maintain the setting now in CRM, what will be the impact on existing material and transaction data in crm.
Any sap note, with which we can maintain same setting as of ECC in CRM, and earlier data will also be valid.

1. In CRM, the transaction COMCPRFORMAT ( for Defining Product ID Settings ) has the settings for 'Save Lexicographically' as inactive then....
With nonlexicographical storage, the product IDs 123 and 0123 refer to the same product, that is, the leading zeros are meaningless. Both product numbers are stored in the database as 0000000000000000000000000000000000000123 and are thus identical.
2. But if In R3, the corresponding transaction OMSL has the settings for 'Lexicographical' as active then these 2 products will be considered as seperate products....

The client is using a customized process (i.e work flow ) to reserve material in r/3 from crm service order.
Now they want to use standard reservation process of r/3 to reserve the stocks of the crm service order.
The client is using the crm 4.0 and r/3 4.7 .
I have checked the crm logistics integration process but it could not suit the requirements

You can download organization from R3 to CRM in the following way.
go to SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Organization Management -> Data Transfer -> Copy SAP ECC Sales Structure. This is the place from where you can replicate the sales structure from ECC. You can have a look at the IMG Implementation Guide for a more detailed information.
As for the BP not coming as an Organization, you need to activate the switch to integrate the BP and Organization functionality. The link for the same is given below:
SPRO -> Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Business Partner -> Integration Business Partner-Organization Management --> Set up Intergration with Organization Management . Here you need to activate the following Switch - HRALX OBPON ON Integration O-BP Activated.

Delta download of customizing from R/3 to CRM

Hello Gurus
Need help. I am trying to automate download of customizing changes from R/3 to CRM.
Example:
I create a new shipping condition in customizing in the R/3 /Logistics Execution->Basic Shipping Functions>Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination>Define Shipping Condition/. In other words a new entry /ZZ/ into the table.
I hope for an automated upload of the new entry from R/3 to CRM, instead when I used the new shipping condition for a Business partner I received in SMW01 /The shipping condition ZZ does not exist/
What was done:
R3AC4 - Set Up Delta Load set up object CONDCUSTOMIZING from the R/3 RFC connection with entry:
00503308 / CONDCUSTOMIZING / CRS_MAINTAINANCE_CHECK - this entry appeared after initial download
TX: R3AS - downloaded object: DNL_CUST_SHIP
TX: R3AM4 - object green
On the R/3 side in table TBE31 the event exists with the correct function
What am I missing please?

Hello Martin,
as much as I know there's no delta download of customizing from R/3 to CRM (at least up until CRM 4.0).
This means that you have to start download object DNL_CUST_SHIP as soon as you maintain a new shipping condition in R/3.
I had this problem a year ago. I solved with the following workaround:
1. Create a variant for report SMOF_DOWNLOAD containing download object DNL_CUST_SHIP
2. Plan this report as job running every hour or so.
The only problem is if you maintain a new value in R/3 and use this new value with a R/3 customer before the download ran.

Adi,
Where do you get the erorr? If you're downloding PRODUCT_SRV, then this is not a customizing object. Please check for related inbound and outbound queues in CRM and ECC for errors. Please also check SMW01 and see if you have any BDoc's in error. Give us the full error text of any errors found.
If you get the problem with customzing objects, please let us the object name(s). Is it just one object or all customizing object?

Standard replication for employee to CRM is using ALE.
BDoc send information for CRM for other business partner. If you want to use BDOC message for send employee to CRM, you should build your own BDOC message that read HCC Table and send this information to CRM.
However send this information using ALE is not difficult. Why don't you wan to use ALE?
