Material field grayed out

Hello all
Currently our master data is created and changed in system A and ALE'd to system B. When i go to MM02 i cant change the material in System B as all fields are grayed out.
Can some one please tell me where the config is so that the users can change these fields.

The system will be setup in such a way that the MDM is maintained in only one SAP system and ALEd to other system thro IDOCs. Hence you will not be able to change the master data in the receiving system as it is not allowed to create or change any master data. Only display is allowed. All this is done thro the Security by protecting the authorizations.

Storage Condition field in Material Master Grayed Out.

Hi folks,
We are trying to use the Storage Condition field in a Material Master Plant Data/ Storage Location View. However I noticed the filed is grayed Out.
Then I looked at the Configuration in "Field Selection for Data Screen**" and the selection group 87 which is already selected as Optional which means it should let me pick the Storage Condition field.
**(SPRO->Log Gen->Mat Master->Filed Selection->Maintain Field Selection for Data Screen.)
Please note, I have already created Storage Conditions in SPRO. I am not trying to create new conditions now. I am just not able to pick one and enter it while creating or updating a Material Master.

where exactly you are looking at that you are so certain that is is optional?
In OMSR find your field selection group, then click the button on the right to the field selection group to see in which field reference it is used..
You can probably see many many field references.
There is e.g. a field reference for the transaction, at least for transaction MM03 your field selection should be display only.
there is a field reference for your material type,
there is a field reference for your industry (M, C etc ... the indicator you have to enter in MM01 initial screen)
there is a field reference for your material type,
Are all references (except MM03) are set to optional, or do you see references with display only among them?

Service PR Currency Field Grayed out

Hi Experts,
We find that for PM Orders created for Control Key for Service Requisitions, the Price and Currency Field is always grayed out while this is not the case for Material PRs.
Is there any PM specific setting to make that Field as Editable

Hi Gurus,
Any user exit for the same, i.e. to change/edit the currency field in service PR.
I think the logic here is correct.
In Material PR we can edit the field but in Service PR we are not allowed to do so.
Let me take an example, In a company dealing with some products, needs a big welding work to be done. One service PR will be raised and if so how the payment would be made because that vendor will ask for local currency only.
@Tyag need your help I think the issue is clear.
Kindly input some suggestions.

Shipment Cost Relevance field grayed out. Possibility to make this editable

When we create a TD shipment document, based on the shipment type control data, the value of the field Shipment cost relevance is updated.
This field is always grayed out, where there is no option to edit.
When we check the standard description, we can see that this is an proposal for shipment cost relevance and can be modified if required.
Is there any such possibility to do so (other than by customising the shipment type parameters), if so, please proivde the process.

Use t-code T_57,
select shipment type then click on shipment cost relevance, make sure is there tick mark for header.

Profit Analysis field grayed out

Hello All,
I am trying to configure the "Activate Project Management in Controlling area" in PS. When I am trying to activate the components, the Profit Analysis field is grayed out. Since we are implementing COPA at our current client, I assume that this component shopuld be active.
Please let me know how do I activate this component.

Address Field grayed out, not showing up

How very odd. This morning, the *address field* in each of my 2,000 Apple Address Book contacts have disappeared. I verified that the Address Field (Preferences: Template: Address) was checked, and it's grayed out. Which means those fields should be showing up. But it doesn't, not in any of the contacts. I've repaired permissions and restarted the Mac, but still no addresses.
Any suggestions? Am I missing some obvious feature that allows one to see the actual street address in AB? Here's a pic:

I used imToo flv converter. The program works great.
After converter the files, I did the following.
1. Open iMovie
2. Create new event
3. Import Movies into that new event
4. iMovie then loads the video file and "generates thumbnails"
5. At this point everything looks good, but if you try to edit the video, there is no preview in the upper right window.
I did some more research on this and I found others with the same problem. I think it is just a bug in the program and there is no way to fix it.

Mail on OSX 10.7.5 has incoming mail server field grayed out

Trying to configure my iCloud email using Mail in OSX10.7.5 and in the settings the field for incoming mail is grayed out, yet every time I try to save to exit that window, it gives me an error message that it needs an incoming mail server. Can't enter it because I can't get into the field, which is showing po2-imap.mail.me.com Any thoughts on how to remedy?

I tried this and it entered the same info that was there and the incoming mail server field is still grayed out and I still get the "The incoming mail server cannot be empty" message when I go to exit the iCloud account window.

Password field grayed out when trying to connect via BeX

Business Explorer SAP Logon screen password is grayed out and user can not type in. We've ruled out the possibility of SNC being turned on for this BI QA system connection.
User gets the following error message:
Missing SNC_LIB=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx
Any ideas how to activate the Password field or what this error message means?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I/O field grayed out after check box checked ( Dynpro)

Hi ,
I have dynpro dialog screen with several check boxes linked with input/output field
When check box is checked the I/O field is editable when check box is empty I/O field should be grayed out.
I am trying to find the way how checking the check box can trigger the change of attribute of I/O field.
The IO field should be gray out after checking check box without hitting enter or any other button.

Now i have still issue my I/O field do not turns in gray ( only output) In loop
I dide like you said ( this is example from my PAI module user-command)

          screen-input = '0'.
          screen-invisible = '1'.
          modify screen.

Once screen is displayed again , the IO field stll remains non grayed out.

PPD field grayed out.....How do I get the PPD field populated? Windows 7 x64

I have an employee running Illustrator in the Creative Cloud and for whatever reason her PPD field is grayed out when she goes to print. My other two employees running this both have the Fiery file for the printer we have as an option. Any idea how I can get the PPD field populated?

Permissions issues on the PPD files or the printer... Or the driver has never been fully installed in the first place due to whatever technical or again permissions issues...

Log & Capture Title Field Grayed Out/Can't Write

While logging clips from a mini-dv tape (in Log & Capture), I clicked in the title field and that field suddenly grayed out and I cannot write in the title field. My temporary solution is to check "prompt" so that I can write titles for clips after I log them. Log and Capture work fine as does everything else in FC 7. I tried trashing prefs but no luck. Any suggestions or solutions out there?

Well, I can accept that that's normal, although I'd say it's nonoptimal UI design, since it made me think I was onto my problem.
Which still exists as described in initial post. Any ideas, anyone?

"name" field grayed out in Log and Capture

I'm using the latest version of FCP and for some reason the "name" field is grayed out in the log and capture tool. Even when i select "prompt" the clip goes untitled into the logging bin. I am capturing on the fly with no deck control. However, if i try to log a clip with deck control, the prompt works but i still can not enter a clip name in the "name" field on it's own.
any suggestions?

모든 fields가 greyed out인 경우 해결 방법에 대해 알아본다.
Solution
이 문제의 원인은 Setup이다.
이와 같은 문제는 profile option 'MO: Security Profile' 은 setup 되어 있으나,
'MO: Default Operating Unit' 은 아직 setup 되어 있지 않고 folder에서 보여야 하는
Operating Unit field가 활성화되어 있지 않은 경우 발생한다.
Operating Unit는 정보의 key이며 이 값은 transaction을 발생시키기 전에 지정되어야 한다.
Recommendation:
만일 MOAC를 사용한다면
1. Folder Options을 이용하여 form 안에서 Operating Unit field가 보이기 활성화 한다.
2. MO: Default Operating Unit 을 setting 한다.
만일 MOAC를 사용하지 않아 MO: Security Profile를 unset 했다면 MO: Operating Unit
값이 default Operating Unit로 되고 application은 이전과 동일하게 움직인다.
Profiles setting에 관해 좀 더 자세한 사항은 Note 393634.1를 참조한다.

Item category and Account assignment category field grayed out in PR/PO

Hello all,
While making a PR/PO we use both the item category and account assignment category. However, after saving the PR/PO, when i try to change the fields through ME22N/ME52N, the fields are greyed out. I dont think this can be controlled through the layout screen.
Is there anyway the fields can be made modifiable in ME22N/ME52N ?

Hi,
Well, actually you can control the Field settings in customization of Document Type. Check the following :
Go to SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define screen layout at document level
Click on the desired Document Type and see if the Field selection for Item Cat and Acct Assignment is checked for Display for that Document Type. If it is then change it to Optional.
Now, Go to SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Document Type and see if the Field Selection Key is assigned to the (Updated just now) document Screen layout.
