Material group GUID - related to SRM-CCM

Hi,
This is related to CCM.
Can you please tell me, If the material group description is changed the Guid related to the same material group is changed or not?
If the GUID is changed with respect to change in material group. Then where can i get the relation of guid to material group

where we have GUID_HI and GUID_SET
here there is a relationshhip maintained for header and item level guid link .
GUId are created when we upload the material groups an material numbers if there is a change in description of the material number or material group the guiod does not get changed as it an unique id based on the material group number which is a primary key
Description in general are never a primary key .
either in back end system or in SRM system.

We have entered Short and Long Decriptions for Material Groups in R/3 and we have run the replication too. We want to show the Long Description of the Product Category to the users on the web screens.
We know there is a setting in SRM to do this but we don't know what it is.
Please let me know if any one has idea.

Language specific replication of material group description not working SRM

Hi All,
We have backend R/3 MM system from which we replicate our materials,material groups. For Italian language the replication of the material groups description is not working. Though the description is available in backend R/3 system when i run the DNL_CUST_PROD1object in R3AS tcode, there is no replication log in SMQ2 but still the Italian language is not replicated into SRM.
There are no logs in SMW01 tcode also.
Please suggest.

Hi,
As david explained,you need to set the filter for the LANGUAGE field in trascn R3AC3 before replicating the product categories.
In R3AC3 select DNL_CUST_PROD1. Go to table structures tab . Click on the filter next to T023T table. This will take you to the filter tab. Select source site name and filter options. In the field put "SPRAS", in op put "EQ" and in low value the value 'IT"(for italian) . You can also describe a range here instead of individual material group numbers.

Import of material groups into hierarchy not possible (note 432339)

Dear All,
I am trying to replicate material groups (DNL_CUST_PROD1) from R3 system. Prior to this our SRM system configured as standalone and Material Hierarchy is already defined. When I am trying to replicate the material groups in SMQ2 I am receiving status as "sysfail" and further I am getting above message. In the message the OSS note also mentioned. In the OSS note they have given following solution
Error message "Import of material groups into hierarchy &1 not possible":
In transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT, you specify that the hierarchy specified in the error message is to be used for application 'Purchasing' (02). This means that the material groups would be created in this hierarchy. Delete this setting in Transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT. If hierarchy R3MATCLASS already exists, assign
hierarchy R3MATCLASS to application 'Purchasing'. Then the material groups are created in hierarchy R3MATCLASS. If you want to import the material groups into the hierarchy specified in the error message, you can also keep this hierarchy
assigned to application 'Purchasing' and deactivate the error message. Error message "Import of material types into hierarchy &1 not possible". You can do this in Customizing under 'Customer Relationship Management -> Master data -> Basic settings -> Define system message characteristics'.
My problem is I am not able to find out the path given in the OSS note ( i.e, Customer Relationship Management u2013 Master data) . Any one can help me in this regard ?

so you need to do set up all crm middleware settings in ecc and srm.

R3AS Load Objects - Changing Material Group Descriptions

Hello,
We use SAP ECC6 and SRM 5.
We currently have some R/3 Material Groups descriptions that need changing in our ERP system.
I am concerned with doing this as it appears that the material groups are replicated in SRM in the COMM_HEIRARCHY, albeit that they are not actually used in SRM.
The issue I have, is when using R3AS to load the material groups, which load object should I use to just amend descriptions?
It states in our documentation:
DNL_CUST_BASIS3 - BASIS CRM Online. We use this for the initital load, i.e. a new build
DNL_CUST_PROD1 - Product: Categories. We used this one for new product categories
DNL_CUST_PROD0 - Material Number Coversions. I don't know what this is used for
MATERIAL is for R/3 Material Master. I don't know what this is for
Can someone please advise which load object would be relevant to use, and also clarify what DNL_CUST_PROD0 and MATERIAL is used for.

Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD0: linked to customizing ( IMG: SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Master Data > Products > Define Output Format and Storage Format of Product IDs
Business object MATERIAL: to replicate R/3 materials
According to your need, you have only to reload customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.

We do replicate vendors from backend system to SRM via transaction code BBP_GETVD, and products are replicated through middle ware settings.
These middleware settings are maintained in both ECC and SRM systems.

Assignment of Vendor and Material group

Hi All,
Is there any way to assign vendors/material groups to standard industry classifications.
We need to have vendors attached to these new industry groups and further to attach specific material groups and G/L's to these vendors- in that once a material group is selected (in SRM ordering), only the assigned vendors / GL groups will be allowed for selection.
Please let me know if this is possible in SRM 5.0 (by standard or Non standard).

I believe there is a place in maintain supplier data
one field called product category check it up. i believe vendor data tab.
since for eg in ros , you registered vendor in srm via whta product category you can suplly to the organisation.
but no one is using extensively. some customers are using this field for spend analysis report for each vendor what is the spend on thi s particular product category.
which suppliesrs can provide product category
product category are customer specific. fr eg go to dun and brad sheet web page . here you may get a list which supplier can provide what PRODUCT CATEGORY

Link between material and material groups

I have reploicated material groups and materials in SRM.How do i link these naterial group and materials?

When you replicate material from ECC, data from multiple tables in backend is extracted and sent to SRM in BDOC. One of the tables is MARA and it has material group information.
Check COMMPR01 transaction in SRM and pull up a material you replicated. It should show there the material group.

Material replication from R/3 to SRM - Issue with Material group

Hello All,
                  I am working on BADI PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2 and method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIALMaterial replication part from R/3 to SRM.
I am using a Ztable to map r/3 material group to SRM material group(Product category).
For example Material M1 with material group 100 is transferred to SRM. Material group(Product category) 100 exist in SRM, but I am changing the material group to 200 in the product_customer2 badi. its working fine.
In another scenario, Material with material M1 with material group 300. Material group(product category) 300 does not exist in SRM,
I am changing the material group to 200 in the bdoc, in the product_customer2 badi. It is not working. The LUW is failing in SMQ2 transaction with the error "Error in Mapping (Details: transaction SMW01)". The BDOC is failing with error "Category for material group 300 does not exist"
I tried to deactivate the badi PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2, even then the FM MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS is validating the material group from R/3.
I tried to change the material group 300 to the existing material group 200 at initial stage in debugging in function module MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS but still the bdoc is failing with error "No storage form defined for product type 01 / logical system".
I am doing my testing using the following steps.
1. change the material descriptioni in MM02 in R/3.
2. An item is displayed in the queue in SMQ2 in SRM.
3. I have debugged the LUW and analyzed my badi by setting breakpoint at method MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL, its changing the material group in the bdoc properly.
   that didnt work.
   also i tried to change the material group in the function module MAP_BAPIMTCS_AND_PROCESS before the badi is called.
4. I am checking the BDOc status using tcode SMW01 and checking the material using tcode COMMPR01.
can someone tell me how I can change the R/3 material group to SRM material group at the time of mapping in SRM?

Hi find below for the product cat
Steps to create the product category in SRM:
1) Create MM material groups in ECC client. This will create a transport. Go to SRM Tcode R3AS and select the object u201CDNL_CUST_PROD1u201D from the list and run it. You can monitor the job using R3AM1 in SRM. This will bring the material group into SRM. This can be seen in TCode u201CCOMM_HIERARCHYu201D in SRM.
2) Once it is done. Go to IMG in SRM and go to path SRM> SRM server> Cross app biz settings> Account aassigmnet> Define GL code for Acc *** Cat and Prod Cat. Maintain the GL code against this prod cat for all the account assignment codes. This is client specific setting and need to be done in every client by opening it. This GL code is given in the form in ticket.
3) Do a test and check if the product category is available for procurement in SC.

join 2 tables "ekko" and "ekpo" & "mara"
ekko you will get vendor..po name and doc type
as well as in ekpo you will get mat code,desc,po qty & also material group

R/3 Material description not replicating in SRM CC-Hubwoo

In SRM, use Transaction SM30
Go to Table - COMCHIERARCHY_
Amend the setting so that the following is checked:
Transfer 60 Character Description
This will now ensure that the 60 character material group description is replicated to SRM.
The OSS note (455949) SAP has given us long back works around CRM customizing path.
*To access it in SRM use SM30 on COMCHIERARCHY to use long description instead of short one.*_
Use
In R/3 system - T023T has short description (20 char) and long description ( 60 char ).
The description in SRM COMM_CATEGORYT has 80 char length.

UNSPSC Code Mapping with Local Material Group

Hi Experts,
We are on SRM 7.0 SP05
We are trying to map UNSPSC Code with R/3 Material Group, which has been replicated to SRM. We have maintained the mapping table for UNSPSC with SRM Material Group.
We are using the BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to change the UNSPSC with a corresponding material group and are modifying the internal table enriched_item_datacategory_id field. Though we are able to successfully change it in the BADI but the changes are not reflected in the shopping cart. Does anybody know why this happens? Is there an OSS note to resolve this problem?

We have not done anything with MDM but as for CCM, I can tell what we have done...
In IMG: Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Master Data --> Content Management, you can define your schemas and mappings.
When shopping through a catalog, make sure the SCHEMA and the UNSPC are passed in the OCI stream. If your scemas and mappings are straight-forward, then no addtional coding is required. However, if this is not the case, addtional coding in BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER may be needed.
I have seen in the forums that many have recommended custom tables and mapping code in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI. However, I like to stick to standard as much as I can.
This may be simplistic, but I think it will help you get a idea on the CCM side. Sorry I could not help you with MDM.

ME21N Material group level authorization is not working in ECC 6.0

Dear Security Experts,
We have created a role Z_ME21N with one Tcode ME21N. The role has to restrict users in the material group level.
For that, we added Authorization object M_MATE_WGR.
1. When we are trying to add field values for {M_MATE_WGR, BEGRU}, generally it should show me the list possible values to be used based on the MM configuration related to Material Authorization Group. We have correctly configured the authorization groups from V_TBRG for M_MATE_WGR. But itu2019s not showing any possible values.
2. However we are able to add values manually, but I guess these are not being considered during authorization check and our restriction on Authorization group level in ME21N is not working.
Test Scenario: We have manually added values 005,007,009,010,013 (which is pointing to specific material group) to BEGRU of M_MATE_WGR. We already assigned this Authorization Object to role Z_ME21N and this role has been assigned to u2018testuseru2019, but the authorization check with the M_MATE_WGR authorization group is not happening. It allows operations on all the material groups.
Anybody came accross same scenario?
SAP Prodcut version : ECC 6.0
Database : SQL Server 2005
Support pack level : 15
