Material in quality stock to unrestricted

Hi,
I have a material in quality stock and I want to transfer it to unrestricted. No inspection lot exists of that material and all the usage desicions have been taken. I have read to generate a manual inspection lot with insp. type 08 or 0800, but I don't if its correct and how can I do that?

Please check the exact flow of the process.
For a Material with Inspection setup in QM view of material master.
step1
The moment you post GR , the stock will be received into QI status in IM
and in WM stock will be under storage type GR Area External Rcpts Q status .
Step2.
Using LT06 create a TO for the Material document IM stock will be in QI status
WM stock will be under selected storage type (during TO processing ) in QI status.
step3.
Then complete the usage decision against the Inspection lot using QA32.
movement type 321 is triggered and stock moves from QI to unrestricted stock in IM.
step4.
Confirm the TO created in Step 3.
step 5.
create a TO against PCN created in Step 3.and confirm.Stock will be in unrestricted status , available stock in WM.
Since you are saying that stock is in Q status at WM level.
pl. check if any PCN, TO is open for the Material
and try to close those by either creating a TO against PCN - LT05
or confirm if TO exist by using Lt12.

if you have quality management active then you have to mainttain quality view in material master along with the inspection lot settings. now this will result in quality lot creation at the time of GRN. then you have to execute QA32 and get the lot. make usage decision and there you will find tab with lot quantity. there you have to give qty in unrestricted and save it.
if you dont have it then just do the transfer postingeither through MIGO or MB1B with movement type 321. give the mat. plant str loc. qty and save it.

Weird Problem in QM stock posting from Quality Stock to Unrestricted

Hi all,
Today I hit a weird problem in SAP and struck there for the past 5 hours. The problem is,
I have a batch managed material, for which QM view is available. 01 inspection type is activated along with the "Post to Inspection Stock indicator" for that material in material master.
Now I am creating a Purchase order and doing a goods receipt in MIGO. Then it creates a inspection lot of type 01
for this material and puts the stock in to Quality stock (I checked in MMBE).
Now as per standard SAP behaviour, if I want to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted, I can only do it in QA11 trasaction through Inspection stock tab. If I try to do 321 (Quality to Unrestricted) movement in MIGO, the system will send an error message "Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXXX in QM only"
But in my case, I am not getting this error message, the system is still allowing me to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted thorugh MIGO using 321 movement. This is not standard and I don't want this.
This behavior is seen in 04 and 08 inspection lots also (with post to insp stock indicator).
The aftermath of this problem, if I do a MIGO transfer posting of say 100 PC through 321. The system is correspondingly updating the MMBE transaction by moving this 100 PC from Quality stock to Unrestricted. But if I go to QA11 and check, the QM still shows that 100 PC to be in Quality stock itself, thus creating a mis-match between actual stock situation and the stock situation in QM.
I already checked and most of the SPRO nodes and I am left clueless. One more thing, Usage Decision is not yet done for the inspection lot and it is just REL status. Also thee are no developments or enhancements in QM module in my project. Only 1 enhancement relating to custom sample label and rest of all the functionality is standard.
Sorry for the long post. How to correct this? Please help me!

I don't know why this happenned. Look at the QM view of the material master and see if the "inspection setup" flag on the QM view is clicked on. That is usually greyed out and is set by having an inspection type activated. You can't manually set that once an inspection type is added. But that is the indicator I believe is used to determine if regular stock movements are allowed for QM stocks.
I would try to first clear all your inspection lots first.
Then delete all the inspection types from the material. And I mean actually go in and delete them.
Then use QA08 to reactivate the ones you need.
Then see if this solves the problem.

Goods Receipt of a material in Quality aswell as Unrestricted stock

When receiving material against PO from different vendors ,stock from few vendors should go into Quality stock whereas receipts from other vendors should be received into Unrestricted stock.
Please suggest how to achieve this.

Thanks for your replies but i had made the selections as per senthil's suggestions but still the Inspection lot is being created and the stock is posted into Quality.I am not sure which CTRL Key to select i have tried the underlined ones from below ..should i be selecting some other key and are there any more settings that need to be done.

Payment block if material is quality stock(MM &QM)

My client requirement is like
While receiving material against a purchase order to quality stock , the vendor payment should be block(it will not allow for payment or posting invoice). One more thing QM module is not implemented in this client.Is there any such control in MM or any moment type by which we can block payment for the vendor while receiving material.

First let me know, if QM is not implemented, how stock is moving out from QI to Unrestricted?
You can use QM Procurement key in material master Quality View. There may be standard procurment key (0007 - Delivery release and Invoice block). Otherwise you have your own key and assign it in Material master, quality view, Then Invoice will beblocked as long as material is lying in QI.
For this setting, you need not implement whole QM module.

Not able to clear material from quality stock

Hi,
There is a stock inconsistency between inspection stock in materials management and inspection stocks managed in inspection lots.Due to this, unable to clear inspection stock. I tried with QA08 ,MB1B also assiging inspection type 08 but still posting not happening fron inspection stock to unrestricted stock.

Hi Ravi,
Please note / clarify following :
1) If in material master of QM you have activated post to inspection (no lot generation with 01 or 04 type insp) then stock will appear in quality, and you should or can only clear it using MB1B 321 movement type.
2) If already you have activated 01 or 04 or 08 then you will be allowed to post stock through inspection only (QA11).
3) Check one more important point :
From old lots somebody might have done result recording and given UD but forgot to do stock posting. you can find such lots with status 'SPRQ'. go to QA32 put particular material, remove range dates and select all insp lots. from the list apply filter to column 'system status' check for ' SPRQ ' in the filter. you will lots where UD given (green radio button) but stock posting pending.
Please elaborate if problem if not resolved.

MOVING MATERIAL FROM RETURN STOCK TO UNRESTRICTED

Dear Gurus,
A product is rejected by a particular customer as we were not meeting their quality specifications .the product is now in returns stock
the product can be used for an customer since it meet their quality specifications.we want bring it into unrestricted stock but with a traceability in system.so that when an quality audit is done we can give solid reasons for moving this rejected product into unrestricted.
Can we do this by creating a manual Notification and maintaining reason moving the product to unrestricted.
or is there any other way of going about this so that auditors do create problem in future

Hello Ram,
You can use inspection type 05 for this purpose so that whenever post goods' receipt will be done the materials will be posted to quality inspection instead of returns stock. You can do stock posting in this case with reference to inspection lot. You need to change the customization for this. Movement type would be 655 instead of 651.

Bapi to move Quality inspection stock to unrestricted stock

Hi All,
I am developing a report where the material batches should be distributed to other storage locations within a plant (as we do it in MB1B with movement type 311).But if that material is in QI stock( inspection lots) then that should be forcibly moved to unrestricted stock.Is there any BAPI available to mimick QA11 and force the material from QI stock to unrestricted stock.

The requirement is to mimick the transaction QA11.I am all ready using the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to post the goods from unrestricted stock.But,to move the stock under QI inspection I have to first move it to unrestricted stock and then post it.Is there any other BAPI available for mimicking the transaction QA11.

I would like to know if there is a way to move the material from quality inspection to unrestricted use, but without creating an inspection plan and recording a use decision

Hi,
There are 2 possibilities -
1) If you have activated QM at material master & due to this the material is placed in the inspection lot, then you can transfer the same in QM only.
2) If you have not activated QM for material, but selected Inspection Lot stock at PO, then you can transfer the material in MB1B by movement 321

After UD stock is in Quality stock

I am getting a problem with the Inspection lot, After doing UD for the inspection lot , System status is showing UD ICCO SPCO STUP HUM means stock posting is completed but actually the stock is not moving from quality stock to Unrestricted stock. Can anyone help in this problem?

Did it happened in one of the 4.6 version of SAP ? I guess I have seen something similar in 4.6C earlier ? If it is has happened as one of the case then perform the posting in QA12 but if it is been observed quite often then I will suggest to raise an OSS note as the lots status is already 'Stock posting completed'.

Problem in BAPI for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage

I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage Stock against quality inspection lot(not by MB1B) using mvt type 321.The material doc gets created by the BAPI,but actual stock posting is not taking place ie.the stock doesn’t get reflected in QA33/32 and QA11 also .Can any one suggest what must be wrong?The inputs given are as follows:

Thanks for the reply. Even after using FM QAVE_PROCESS_AUTO_UD,when i execute
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the same thing is happening.I am unable to see the stock deducted in QA33.
Is there any input in the goods mvt bapi where we can provide inspection lot no since i believe that the goods mvt has to get connected with the inspection lot.

Moving material from quality to unrestricted

Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where the user has given the UD but the stock posting tab was missing in the QA32 screen, so stock posting could not be done. Now in the stock overview the material is available in quality stock only. We want to take the material to unrestricted stock. Inspection types 01, 08 and 09 are active in material master. Please advise how to proceed? If we try to transfer material from quality to unrestrictedthrough 321 movement in MB1B, we are getting error message "change inspection stock in QM only ". Please advise.

The QM component cannot manage stock movements for inspection lots that were created manually.

There is a tick mark in post to inspection stock indicator thereafter inspection lot tab in qa32 or qa11 is not activated.
Secondly, this is a stock item.
Thirdly, No PS module is implemented in my client
I think the user has posted the stock through MB1C with Movt.Type 503 into quality stock.At the time of this posting the 05 inspection type is not activated in QM view of Material Master thatswhy system does not created any inspection lot for this.
After some days,with out stock posting from inspection stock to unrestricted stock,he has activated 05 inspection stock for the first time.
Pl.suggest any possible solution .

How to post return stock to unrestricted stock for only Plant & Material Type combination?

Hello Everyone,
At present, whenever the stock is returned then it posted through 655 movement type. So, material is posted as quality stock.
Now, the requirement is to post the stock to unrestricted stock for Plant and Material type combination only. Which means, if the plant is 1413 and the material type is ERSA, VERP, and HIBE then for return sales order system post the stock directly to unrestricted stock, instead of quality stock.
So, is there any standard way of configuring the above scenario without going for validation (Z Fields)?

as per your scenario , there is two movement type has to trigger in the Delivery level according to the plant and material combination .
as per my knowledge it will not configurable in standard process . this will possible with user exit logic only .
follow the below logic to achieve your issue .
you have to create two item categories and two schedule lines with (655 &653) , that means your movement type has to trigger at sales order level only . write a logic in the user exit - MV45AFZZ -USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP , if this combination matches then automatically item category has to over write other wise it will copy the existing item category .at delivery level you can see two movement types in item level.
wait for other experts solution , if any standard is possible or not .

Movement type setting to control blocked, unrestricted or quality stock

Hi All,
I am trying to find out what exact setting within a movement type controls whether the material goes in to unrectricted, blocked or quality stock. For example 101 and 103. Movement type 101 receives the material in to unrestricted stock while 103 takes it in to blocked stock. I compared 101 and 103 settings and found them to be similar. So I am trying to understand what exact setting seperates these movement types.

Checking in OMJJ is probably waste of time, as you cannot change such indicator.
As you probably know, you can only create new movements by copy of an exisitng movement, so you cannot really change the behaviour of a movement.
If you want to investigate in more detail, then check the enties in tables starting with T156
