Material movement from Quality to Unrestricted

Dear All
My problem is that i have given UD for a particular batch and posted the stock from quality inspection to unrestricted use.
But when i see in the stock overview the quantity still lies in Quality i.e in MMBE
But when i see in QA33 the stock is available in Unrestricted.
Kindly give me a solution

Use movement 321 to move material from QI to unrestricted and movement 343 from blocked to unrestricted.

You can get all the Details in MB51 by Selecting Proper Movement types.
For Eg: Gr Docs using 101, GR Blocked Using 103 and GR Blocked Released using 105 etc.

IDOC - message type WMMBXY(Stock transfer from quality to unrestricted)

I have IDOC problem.
Inbound message type WMMBXY(Stock transfer from quality to unrestricted), The status if I check in WM02 of Doc is "51-Application document not posted"
Error Message ""Required function
MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT is not being processed".

The Idoc whcile Posting using Message type WMMBXY calls the Function module L_IDOC_INPUT_WMMBXY & in turn this calls the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
This function is not getting executed.
Please check if the Movemnt type used is not active for WM movemnts.
If you have used previously this movemnt type & now it is not working. Please take hlep of ABAPer for debugging & finding the Root cause

Did you use the follow up action in the UD code selection? It looks from the error that program is unable to find the UD code.
Kindly check the configurations in QM and see that everything is working fine?
Alternatively, if you are using the follow up action, then remove that first. Do the GR using MIGO -- this will create the inspection lot. Confirm the inspection using QA11 by entering the UD code for acceptance. Thereafter the the stock will rest in QI status. Use MB1B and perform the transfer posting with movement 321 to bring the stock to unrestricted use.

Moving material from quality to unrestricted

Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where the user has given the UD but the stock posting tab was missing in the QA32 screen, so stock posting could not be done. Now in the stock overview the material is available in quality stock only. We want to take the material to unrestricted stock. Inspection types 01, 08 and 09 are active in material master. Please advise how to proceed? If we try to transfer material from quality to unrestrictedthrough 321 movement in MB1B, we are getting error message "change inspection stock in QM only ". Please advise.

The QM component cannot manage stock movements for inspection lots that were created manually.

Material movement from unrestricted use to "waste"

Hello,
we have some materials in stock that are actually good parts, but we will not sell them and pysically throw them away.
So now in SAP they are in unrestricted use and we need to remove them from there.
What movement type can we use? Just to clarify, it is no scrap, so we don't want to use 551 or 551 (Withdrawel from scrapping into unrestricted use), because this will be added to scrap then which it not is.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Process of scrapping.
Create scrap materials using Material type ABF or a copy of ABF.
If the UOM of Byproducts & Scrap are the same then do a material to material transfer using 309 movements.
Create a sales order, Perform the Delivery & Customer Invoicing.
If the UOM is different then do a goods issue to scrap of By-Product using 551.Perform a 501 movement for scrap material & then perform the Sales order, Delivery & customer Invoicing Process.
If you want to sell scrap material, you can transfer your material type from your material type to material type "waste" or create material with material type waste.
Then the flow of scrap sales:
1)Create a scrap sales order (VA01) F
2) Scrap delivery (VL01N)
3) PGI (VL02n)
4) Performa invoice (F8) or sales Invoice (F2) (VF01) and
5) if excise is applicable for the scrap, then excise invoice (J1iin) after sales invoice.

The movement from Quality to Quality.........

Hi there ,
Is there any std way(mvt Type) thru which we can move the material (stock) from the quality of one plant to the quality of other plant ......... if not then what are the other option that we can think of......... I am thinking of creating a new movement type for that ......... will it work in that case........??

Posting goods from quality to unrestricted status CRTD CHCR......

I have one issue.
In QA32 my lot is in CRTD CHCR SPRQ. I have not made quality plan for that.in MM01,quality view i activated inspection type 01.
now in mmbe stock is showing in quality.
i want to do transfer posting from quality to unristricted stock.i dont want to use quality plan assign to that lot.
I tried MB1B movemet type 321. i am getting error Change the inspection stock of article 1111030200267 in QM only.
Is any way to do that,transfer posting.

Hi,
As your lot has been at CRTD status you need to released by assigning inspection plan.
In QA02 --change inspection lot or in QA32 select lot line item & click on inspection lot so that you can be able to enter in change lot.
In which you can assign your inspection plan ,you will find icon inspec tasl list ,click on same icon.so that you will get message inspection plan assigned , .If system wont allowe you then same screen usage ( You have to select same usage by which you created inspection plan.)
Save the transaction & refresh the QA32 screen

Moving the stock from quality to unrestricted.

This is regarding QM issue.
in inspection lot certain lot quantity is entered in quality and it is not cleared.
the system status for that lot in QA03 is UD ICCO PRII STUP
now the question is how to clear this one.
even i checked for inconsistency,but there is no inconsistency exits.
kindly tell me how to proceed further and solve this issue.

Hi Santosh, Yes no problem. You can post.
You have now identified the correct lot.
Select this lot and click on execute button. Then go to stock posting tab and post the remaining quantity to unrestricted use.
Itu2019s absolutely correct to post the stock against this lot.
In fact we can say earlier selected lot was incorrect as it was not having status ending with SPRQ or SPST. I explain this to you.
For material XYZ, 5 inspection lots are created containing 20 Qyt each (say lot numbers are 1,2,3,4 and 5). When you look at MMBE, you will see that quantity 100 is lying in quality inspection which is the sum of all lots quantities.
Now one by one you go on posting stock to unrestricted and giving UD. Accidently you gave UD for lot number 3 without posting the stock. Now system will show 20 Qty in quality inspection in MMBE. Here the first task to identify the correct lot against which we did not carry out stock posting. In order to identify this correct lot number against which stock posting was not done, we execute QVM2 transaction. Here lot number 3 has status SPRQ i.e. stock posting required. If you try to post the stock against lot other than 3, system will definitely throw error because it was already posted.
Hence the output of QVM2 always gives the correct lot against which stock posting is not done.

Movement from return to Unrestricted.......

There is a material for eg: drum which is to be sent to customer from returns .
Now my first query is that can we move directly to the cutomer through any mvt type or do we have to first move it to un-resticted....& then move it to customer.
and in either case what is the mvt type that needs to be used .......

Hi Kaushik,
It depens on your current Business Process. Suppose if you have QM active, whenever you get Returns the stock will be in Restrictive Mode. You need to make them as Un-restricted Stock either manually or automatically by the system.
If you have Warehouse Management, depending on the materials, you will define a separate Storage Type for Returns and then based on Movement Type, you can redict the Returns directly to Customer or to a different Storage Bin (Return Bin etc.)
Or else, based on the movement type and the Sales Order Type, and based on Conditions, you can send returns directly to Customer.

I am not syre but it may be autharisation issue,
Just run transaction again after getting u same erro cretae spool request & check at what object you are not autharised. .Once it get investiget you can take autharistion for same.
Check for both T code- Qa32 ,QA02.

if you have quality management active then you have to mainttain quality view in material master along with the inspection lot settings. now this will result in quality lot creation at the time of GRN. then you have to execute QA32 and get the lot. make usage decision and there you will find tab with lot quantity. there you have to give qty in unrestricted and save it.
if you dont have it then just do the transfer postingeither through MIGO or MB1B with movement type 321. give the mat. plant str loc. qty and save it.

Movement of Material from Quality.

The inspection lot is created with Insp. type "04" ..'Goods receipt inspection from production'...The usage decision as "DEV2" has been made for the lot...but the qty for offgrade has been posted to Quality instead of unrestricted. and new insp lot of type '08' is created..for the offgrade..
On analysis it is found "Post to insp stock " indiactor was not set...So this takes care of all future lots...But for the current lot how to move the material from Quality to Unrestricted...SAP does not allow to carry out UD for the 2nd lot.."08" .
Your help is required..

Thanks for the reply..Actually now two inspection lot exists...one with type"04' whose UD was done as "DEV2" devalue for scrap..and as a result system prompted to enter the Offgrade material ...
As a result new lot got created with new batch for the offgrade...Now do i have to create insp plan for the offgrade...or is there any other alternative...?

Weird Problem in QM stock posting from Quality Stock to Unrestricted

Hi all,
Today I hit a weird problem in SAP and struck there for the past 5 hours. The problem is,
I have a batch managed material, for which QM view is available. 01 inspection type is activated along with the "Post to Inspection Stock indicator" for that material in material master.
Now I am creating a Purchase order and doing a goods receipt in MIGO. Then it creates a inspection lot of type 01
for this material and puts the stock in to Quality stock (I checked in MMBE).
Now as per standard SAP behaviour, if I want to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted, I can only do it in QA11 trasaction through Inspection stock tab. If I try to do 321 (Quality to Unrestricted) movement in MIGO, the system will send an error message "Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXXX in QM only"
But in my case, I am not getting this error message, the system is still allowing me to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted thorugh MIGO using 321 movement. This is not standard and I don't want this.
This behavior is seen in 04 and 08 inspection lots also (with post to insp stock indicator).
The aftermath of this problem, if I do a MIGO transfer posting of say 100 PC through 321. The system is correspondingly updating the MMBE transaction by moving this 100 PC from Quality stock to Unrestricted. But if I go to QA11 and check, the QM still shows that 100 PC to be in Quality stock itself, thus creating a mis-match between actual stock situation and the stock situation in QM.
I already checked and most of the SPRO nodes and I am left clueless. One more thing, Usage Decision is not yet done for the inspection lot and it is just REL status. Also thee are no developments or enhancements in QM module in my project. Only 1 enhancement relating to custom sample label and rest of all the functionality is standard.
Sorry for the long post. How to correct this? Please help me!

I don't know why this happenned. Look at the QM view of the material master and see if the "inspection setup" flag on the QM view is clicked on. That is usually greyed out and is set by having an inspection type activated. You can't manually set that once an inspection type is added. But that is the indicator I believe is used to determine if regular stock movements are allowed for QM stocks.
I would try to first clear all your inspection lots first.
Then delete all the inspection types from the material. And I mean actually go in and delete them.
Then use QA08 to reactivate the ones you need.
Then see if this solves the problem.

It looks like the status you mentioned are of inspection lot.
CRTD mean created status of inspection lot.
CHCR means characterstics required. in your case the the material master inspection view says characterstics required however your inspection plan does not have any cahracterstics.
assign the characterstics to inspection plan & both the status of inspection lot will change. you will be then able to process the inspection lot to move the stock from quality to unrestricted.
