Material Movement using BAPI with serial number.

Hello,
I am currently doing material movement using BAPI with serial number management, however in some case it works fine and in some cases it given and error message E213(IO). Unable to find the reason, when simulated the same it works fine for 200 serial numbers and gives error when going above 200 serial number. The confusion is some times it works fine for 3000 serial number as well.
Tried finding the reasion on every possible site. No results.

Customized physical inventory upload with serial number

Hello SAP gurus,
My client have a requirement for physical inventory upload in bulk.
Their requirement is - they will create physical inventory document using MI31 and MIE1.
Then they will take printout of these documents- will add physical count into it.
Then they want upload this file to post difference.
They don't want to do it manually as they have large amount of data.
They also want to incorporate serial number in it.
My query is as we are posting difference using z-program with serial number-
1.if one material with serial number have stock 10 in unrestricated and 5 in quality.
different serial numbers are assigned to unrestricted an quality stock. At the time of entering count e.g.for Unrestricted if physical stock is 11 .
then system will ask for 11 serial numbers. they will provide 1 serial number for extra material which we can fetch from file.
But as we are doning in background , we want pick 10 serial numbers for existing material and again assign them. Same scenario may be for quality.
From where (table) I can find these serial numbers assigned to unrestricted and quality stock to pick and again assign to them?
2. I have query regarding physical inventory count for special stock e.g. sales order specific stock.
In which case special stock in SAP may differ from physical stock?
If in any sales order have 5 qty of material and in storage location have stock 4 or 6 for that sales order.
Correct me if I am wrong, because I am not able to understand physical inventory for special stock?
3. I got error for a special stock material i.e. sales order specific material under quality and with serial number- When I am trying to post
physical inventory differnce , then system gives me error - You can't post differences as serial requirement is set.
Post it by 711,712,713,714.
Why this error popup?

Honestly, I do not have good experience with the BAPI for serialnumber change...
would suggest to explore function module:
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_UPDATE
or
SERIALNUMBER_LIST_SAVE
Also run ST05 to trace what kind of data it passed to these function modules by running IQ02!

Cancel insp.lot for batch material with serial number?

We have a problem with an inspection lot....
A few months ago we made a goods receipt for batch material... it ended up in Q- stock.
The weeks went by and the material was changed ito a serial number material... that process works fine...
But now we want to scrap the material that is batch-handeled ... the inspection dont want to let go.. it want serial numbers... even if I create serial numbers for this the inspection lot
dont let me register any numbers.. So I cant cancel/delete it... And after all I just want to scrap the batch...
Can someone help me?

if stock of that material with serial numbers exist, then scrap that stock and disable the serial number for the material by deleting the serial number profile in the work scheduling view of the material master.
then try cancelling the inspection lot. After cancelling the inspection lot, activate the serial number for that material again and bring back the scrapped stock into the unrestricted use.
Note: please advice the users not to post any stock for that material till you complete this or else block the posting t.code for all the users.

Problem with an enter inventory count for a material with serial number

Hi all,
I must post an Enter inventory count with the transaction MI04 for a material with serial number that it has more 250,000 of serial number, but the system give an error message of dump.
Are there any alternatives to post the inventory document?

you can't but uplaod using LSMW rather entering manually otherwise you need coremod

Reinstalling,APSE11,from,original,CD,with,serial,number,,I,get,the,message,"Key,not,valid, for,use,in,specified,state."

While reinstalling APSE 11 (windows) from original CD (with serial number), I get the message "Key not valid for use in specified state." What do I do?

Inventory with Serial Number Material

Hi Experts,
I´ve been trying to create a recount (MI04) for a material with Serial Number.
Currently I have in one Storage Location more than 100,000 pieces of this material.
So when I try to do the counting, all SAP functions get blocked and it doesn´t end the process.
I have a limit of numbers to count?
It seems that the lock table overflows.
Any suggestions how can i manage this counting?

MI04 is enter count, MI11 is create recount.
A physical inventory document can maximum have 333 items.
100,000 pieces of this material can be just one record or 100000 different inventory records. this number does not tell much.
do you want to say that you have 100000 serial numbers for one material to be counted?

Use CS6 (activated with serial number) on one computer and CC (activated by CC app) on another?

CC authentication is playing havoc with me.
I have a valid full install disc with serial number for CS6 Master Collection. I recently also began a subscription to CC.
I want to use CC per its terms of use on my main machine (a Mac running Win in parallels) which, I believe, will count as both installations of my CC license. I also have a second PC where I'd like to use my perfectly valid serial number to install and run CS6.
When I log in to the second (CS6) machine, I'm not allowed to run my CS6 programs because I am seen as a CC subscriber. There's no opportunity to enter a serial number: The machine, which has run CS6 for years, refuses to let me keep using them. For example I start Acrobat. I am alerted that my trial has 00 days left. I am asked to sign in and enter a serial number. I sign in, but before I can enter the serial number I am told "welcome, carry on" and the authroization window goes away. And it immediatly REAPPEARS with the same message about my trial having 00 days left.
I have had a great deal of angst related to Adobe's broken activation process and my opinion of them as a company has suffered dramatically.
Wondering if I need to make a separate Adobe ID for the CS6 installation. Will Adobe let me enter that serial number via a new Adobe ID or will it object on the grounds that the serial number is associated with my main Adobe ID?

Re-register the perpetual license with another Adobe ID and use the CS6 installation on that ID. This will keep the system from getting confused during the activation. Remember to deactivate the CS6 (if it will allow that option) if at all possible. That's the best option for now. If you have issue with the re-installation, use the Adobe cleaner on the CS6 machine.

I understand that you have also used the download link & serial number from Adobe - CS2 Downloads, if still the CS2 is not working, then please refer to the system requirement for e.g System requirements | Photoshop
The issue can be that the present operating system might not be compatible with the CS2.

Subcontracting Process with Serial Number

We activated BADI for MRO Process. As per the sap help the MRO Process will support subcontract serialized and NON -Serialized rework parts.
The Process is fine with NON -Serialized works. But GR for the subcontract is getting error on using the same serial number .it is accepting if we assign different serial number. We want to assign the serial number to the subcontract purchase order item along with the material number and expect to be returned by the subcontractor with the same material and same serial number.
But we are getting the message like this Stock data of serial number 0988900 not suitable for movement. How to get rid of this error? 0988900 is the serial number assigned Original to the equipment.

I will explain the glimpse of the problem:
I am sending one material (With serial No) for repair to vendor.After repair , when i m trying to do GR against P.O the same serial if we entered, its not taking. It is throwing the same error.

BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with Serial Number

Dear Gurus,
Scenario
We have to transfer serialized Material from one plant to another via STO
ST order --> Delivery --> PGI (with Serial Number) --> MIGO at recieving plant.
For MIGO (101) movement we want to use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
Now we have tried many combinations for it.
if we se GM_CODE = '01'. and Movement Indicator 'B' (for purchase orders) then it gives error "Maintain Serial number."
So if we maintaine serial number in thetable it says that you "cannot assign this serial number to the material "(AS the serial no is attached to the material at the time of PGI).
Now if we try to change the the movement Indicator to 'L' (for deliveries) we are getting the error "Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 101 X X _ L) "
We have maintianed all necessary fields otherwise it would not give he Maintain srial no error (we think). I know this is very technical. but if anyone has prior knowledge please Help

We can not post goods issue for component with serial number using t-code CO27 and MF60.
In case of Serial number, auto GI (using backflush) / auto GR (indicator in PSP or routing key) does not work.
Automatic goods movements are not permitted for materials that require serial numbers. However, if an automatic goods movement is specified for a material that requires a serial number then an error record is written. This error record can be displayed using the reprocessing function but it cannot be posted. Error records for materials that require serial numbers must be deleted manually. The goods movement must then be executed manually in inventory management.

Split valuation combination with serial number

Dear all,
Suppose the material with serial number is having the split valuation types E.g. C1(New), C2 (Reconditioned), C3 (Reconditioning reqd) is to undergo refurbishment activity. The C1 Conditioned material was already issued to the cost center (Say Serial no.s 1 to 4) .After some period, these four materials are to be refurbished. Now for doing the refurbishment, i have to move these materials into the store.
1.Which movement type can be used to move into the store.
2.Which valuation type should be used while moving into the store. (We would have given the valuation type C1 (New) while issued into the costcenter at the begining).
3.Can we move these materials with the same serial number with the valuation type C3. (After some usage, definitely the condition of the material would have changed).

The material is not having Batch management activation. Also it is not asking any Batch data while doing MIGO.
Any other setting related to S.No+ Batch + Split valuation to be checked?
