    Hi
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
    How to create idoc?
*WE30 - you can create a IDOC type

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.

  • Track changes in customer material info (VD52) and create custom IDocs

    Dear experts,
we want to track changes, which are made in VD52 (Customer matertial info record) and create custom IDocs (Z-format) based on these changes. What is the best way to do this?
    Best regards,
    David

    Hi,
There are a dedicated BTEs (Business Tranaction Event) for this purpose (transaction FIBF).
    - created customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504001_E
    - changed customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504002_E
    - deleted customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504003_E
You can assign your own FM to the BTE and send custom IDoc whenever there is a new/updated/deletd customer-material info record.

I have Pages 09.  I have created custom templates and want to delete them.  How do I delete a template I have created in Pages 09?

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your users Library will appear about halfway down the list.

It might be a crossdomain.xml problem.
Please make sure that the server hosting the xml allows the domain where the swf is hosted.
    You can start with:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <cross-domain-policy>
        <allow-access-from domain="*"/>
        <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>
    </cross-domain-policy>

  • Creating Customized Table and Modify Table Maintenance Screen

    Hi,
I have already created customized table and generate the table maintenance screen, however i encountered 1 problem which is i cannot add new PAI and PBO module in the flow logic. Every time i wanna add new module, i will be getting error message saying that my user currently editing the screen. Any suggestion ?
    Thanks.
    Jon

    Hi <b>Jonathan</b>,
Please close all the windows and relogin
For making PAI and PBO modules, Please activate all the Table and its maintainence view.
Now first make emptu file with <main filename>_PAI and <main filename>_PBO save and activate them.
Now put the logic in them and then activate now call these in the main prog.. it should work...
While activation all the sub program modules should be activated already... i suggest select all the prog and sub progs and activate them all at once...so the system automatically takes care of inner activations first...
If u have some more quereies... please feel free to contact me...

  • File to IDOC scenario: Create customer master and then return customer no

    Hi all.
I have a scenario to pass xml file to sap XI to generate IDOC to create customer master in SAP. My problem is that I need to return customer no. created in SAP from IDOC. Is there any solution to do this? Someone told me that BPM could be used for doing this but I don't know the steps.I have no problem in create customer master in SAP. My only problem is how to return customer no.  Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Pavin

    >>u can use synch-Asynch bridge using BPM
This can not be done via sync-async bridge. There are 2 reasons for this
1.He has file adapter as sender and that doesn't support synchronous scenarios.
2.He has standard IDOC as receiver.there is no way you can fetch customer# from IDOC without writing a custom program,Thats why i said he need to either use RFC/Proxy or do some custom development.
    Thanx

  • How to create inbound idoc and FM

    Dear All,
How to create custom inbound idoc, the program and FM.
Can anyone send me step by step process to create it, steps in FM and Coding.
I have created for outbound and its working fine.
    Plz reply ASAP.
    Regards,
    Arun.

    Hi Arun,
    1) Create segment (WE31)
    2) Create IDOC Types (WE30)
    3) Create message type (WE81)
    4) Link message type with basic type (WE82)
    5) Create FM (SE37)
here in the source code part of the function module you have to loop into the data records table of the idoc. then loop into the status recod table  to update the status of the idoc(Posted/Postedwitherrors/errors).
    6) Create Process Code (Inbound - WE41/ Outbound - WE42)
    7) Link FM and process code (WE57)
go to WE19 to test it.

    Hi
Choose SAP Menu ® Tools ® Business Communications ® IDoc Basis ® Development ® IDoc types . The IDoc type editor is displayed.
If you have not already done so, create a transport request for your development objects (extension segments, extension, function exit and so on). You can access the Workbench Organizer from the editor by selecting Requests (Organizer). From there, select Request ® Create and reply to the questions which appear on screen. By selecting you can return to the IDoc type editor.
Name your extension in accordance with the customer namespace and choose Extension as the development object. Choose .
The name of your extension should be no more than 8 characters if you wish to use the extension to communicate with partners who are using SAP Releases prior to 4.0. You can only use extension names with more than 8 characters from Release 4.0 onwards.
Choose one of the following options:
Create New: Create the extension without a reference.
Create copy, which you can then change if necessary
Create as successor: Note that only one successor is allowed per release for each extension.
Select the basic type which is to be combined with your extension. Confirm your entries.
The basic type is displayed as a tree structure. See the color legend (Utilities ® Color legend).
Position the cursor on the segment where you wish to append the extension segments (the reference segment). Choose . You must now assign attributes for these child segments:
Mandatory segment (indicator): Must data be written to this segment in the IDoc?
Maximum and minimum frequency of use: How often may/must a segment occur in the IDoc?
You can add further children or "grandchildren" to this or any other reference segment in the basic type.
When the new extension is complete, you can save your entry.
You should keep the following factors in mind when dealing with extensions:
Segments must not explicitly occur more than once in the IDoc type - this means that the extension cannot have any segments which already exist in the basic type. This also means that a successor must not have any segments which already exist in the predecessor.
Parent segments of predecessors must remain parent segments in the case of successors.
Extension segments cannot be created from reference segments using the Cut and Paste functions and vice versa.
In the example call your extension Z1ORDERS . Append Z1TEST1 child segment to E1EDP19 reference segment in ORDERS01 basic type. The child segment can be used only once.

  • Extending an IDoc Type or Creating Custom IDoc type

    Hi Experts,
We need to modify IDoc Type "DESADV01" for adding extra fields. Should I extend this IDoc Type or Create a new Custom IDoc type with the extra fields? Which is the best practice? This is my first time with IDoc functionality. Please let me know.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Dev,
    Simple solution man.
Try to create an extension for the Idoc you wanted to extend.
Steps would be as follows: -
    1) Go to WE31, create the z-segments and make them ready
    2) Go to WE30, give some name for the extension and select the radio button extension and click on create button
    3) It will ask you necessary details like which idoc you wanted to extend...Give the details and add the z-segments and save it.
    4) Release it
    Thats it.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Thanks,
    Babu Kilari

  • Create Custom Infotype and handle Modification/Updation

    Hi All,
I need to create a custom infotype and handle few checks while creating/updating the existing one.
I have gone through the existing threads and have figured out the creation part.
Could anyone tell me where i need to code the checks while creating/updating.
I tried editing the PBO/PAI of the Module pool program, but as its standard, is asking for access key. Do we need to code this in any userexit or implement BADI.
    For example,
    a) i need to check that only one instance of the infotype should be valid for an
        employee at a time
    b) This infotype should be created for only Employees and not contingent workers.
    c) Few fields on the body section needs to be updated/modified.
    Thanks and Regards
    Manish.

You can use the IN_UPDATE or AFTER_INPUT Methods of the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY to perform your validations.
