Material Origin update terminated

Hi All,
I tried to create a material using T-cdoe MM01. In the Costing 1 view tab, I ticked the Material Origin but cannot save as the error appear with "Transaction terminated".
Any advise any one?

The solution is in Note. 673881. It is stated to run the attached program ZN673881.
When I click the correction intructions 602266, I can see the Object name ZN673881. If i click this, the text form is displayed.
How do I run this program?

I have a requirement to update the routing labour hours by material origin groups to save time of updating each and every material. Is there a way to do this?
For example if 3 materials belong to origin group A then if all 3 materials use labour hours of 5 hours, then the user has to enter only the origin group and 5 hours once to update all 3 material routings. Is this possible?

PO update terminated with error - migo

Experts,
Entering a goods receipt in R/3 for an SRM replicated P.O. (using trx.
MIGO). Upon backing out of the transaction, an "update terminated"
message is received with a short dump in the system log.
The Material doc. is posted correctly and all accounting documents are
posted correctly.
We looked at SAP note 131178 but this does not seem to be exactly what
we need.
This error does not happen every time. Sometimes the PO can be posted
without any short dump.
We are on using ECC 6.0 that is connected to SRM 5.5
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FORM', was
not caught in
procedure "F0020_UPDATE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The program "RMCSS012" is meant to execute an external PERFORM,
namely the routine "MCE1_100" of the program "SAPFMCEF", but
this routine does not exist.
This may be due to any of the following reasons:
1. One of the programs "RMCSS012" or "SAPFMCEF" is currently being developed.
The name "MCE1_100" of the called routine may be incorrect, or
the routine "MCE1_100" is not yet implemented in the program "SAPFMCEF".
2. If the program SAPMSSY1 is involved in the runtime error, one of
the function modules called via RFC is not flagged as remote-capable.
(see Transaction SE37 Goto -> Administration -> RFC flag)
3. There is an inconsistency in the system. The versions of the
|    programs "RMCSS012" and "SAPFMCEF" do not match.

Update terminated when doing VF01

hello, friends.
we have a situation where Billing type F2 settings were changed (using VOFA). specifically, in field "Assignment" i specified "E" (billing document). supposedly, the billing document number will be used as assignment allocation. there are already billing documents created.
when these settings were done, i started getting error message "express document update terminated". the system says error has something to do with ABAP/4 processor CONVT_NO_NUMBER.
when i execute ST22 or SM13 to look at the problem, it says the system cannot interpret "1111" which is why the update was terminated. here, "1111" is the material number.
i tried switching the settings of F2 back to standard but the errors continue.
why is the system getting the material number as number range?
your help will be greatly appreciated.

i checked the other threads with similar subject, and i agree it may have something to do with number range. but i checked the number range of the billing document and i'm not sure i have the exact issue.
i suspect that when i changed the "Assignment" settings in VOFA, the synchronization with the Accounting Document (Allocation) number might have been affected. when i repeatedly tried to create billing document with reference to the same delivery document, the system uses a new billing document number when saving, but then this is lost.
would you think this is the more likely cause?

L_to_create_int causes update termination

Hello,
I programmed a TO creation for a list of transfer requirements with the 3 function modules
l_to_prepare_item_int
l_to_add_item_int and finally
l_to_create_int.
Now, when I process several TRs for one batch material I have the following problem:
Either I call l_to_create_int only once after I have processed all TRs. In that case only one TO is created and one TR gets the total of all TR quantities whereas the other TRs remain open.(The TR number is on header level of the TO).
Or I call l_to_create_int each time the TR number changes, but then I get an update termination.
Has anybody an idea, what I am doing wrong here?

I found it on my own now. In the above described case it is necessary to delete the global variables of function group L03A before calling l_to_create_int. It looks like this:
CALL FUNCTION 'L_SAPLL03A_INIT_INT'.
No parameters required.

Update terminated message

Hi All,
Wanted to know in which case this message is received in user's Inbox?
In one of our material master workflow scenario, there was a problem due to changed password of WF-batch.
After the new password was known, we used synchronize password option and the worklfow started working.
However now there is problem like user is getting Update terminated message in Inbox .
Will it have any connection to the change done for WF-batch pasword?

Hi Akshay,
Difficult to tell, updates can terminate for different reasons and can be basis or config problems.
Look in SM13 for more details on updates, or as Amandeep already suggested, short dumps in ST22 will also tell you more.
If you don't come right, let us know what you find out and we can try to help further.

Update termination error when posting goods issue

I have a strange problem I can not figure out. We have serial numbers like 12345/345. When trying to post goods issue I get an update termination error for invalid character. This only happens if the quantity is more than 1 each. A quantity of 1 each works fine and receives no update termination when post goods issue...only recieve termination error if the post goods issue is for a qty of 2 each.
I searched the SAP site found OSS note 40355...applied the note. The note also mentions the chaging print paramters to include "/ _" this is all done.
I tried doing a ABAP Debug in SE38 (for the delivery note print program) and setting the breaking point, but when I go to run the transaction after the setting break point...when I hit post goods issue...SE38 does not return back to its screen. So not sure if I am running the correct program there...or if this works for the update terminations?
So strange I do not get this for a qty of one each only when it is greater than that. I am stumped need help....
Any advice wiould be GREATLY appreciated....

Looks like there is an error in the delivery (or material movement ?) print program. Easiest would be to disable these outputs for test purposes. When no dump then the error is somewhere in the print program an could be analysed by triggering the print separately with ABAP RSNAST00.

Update termination dump while saving sales order after updating billing pla

Hi,
Our client is facing a strange issue. The client has a sales order already created and WBS element assigned to it automatically. The sales order has many items, which are billed periodically. Whenever the particular item has to be billed. user attaches milestone in the project which is updated in the billing plan of the sales order. Then user goes into change view of sales order, and sees if the billing plan is getting updated. After user sees that billing plan is updated, he tries to save the sales order and the update termination dump comes.
We have analyzed this issue to some extent. Since the product hierarchy have been changed, the system checks for the duplicate records and throws the dump.
We have advised the user to follow following steps also:
   1) Delete existing billing plan if any assigned to the order. You can delete the billing plan by going into CJ20N and deleting the existing milestones completely.
   2) Please ensure network in project is release and sales order does not have credit block.
   3) Change Product Hierarchy in sales order (Please do not copy and paste from Material master instead select the same through F4 for each level.
   4) Once again create the milestones as required in the Project.
   5) We need to remove block of billing plan from Project only instead of from Order.
   6) Check order in display mode and ensure billing plan has appeared.
   7) Now goto change mode of the order and carry billing.
Above solution has solved the issue but sometimes it takes times for the above solution to work.
The user has to repeatedly follow above steps to save the billing plan.
We need to have permanent solution for the same. I would appreciate if anybody can help resolve this issue.

Thanks All for providing me possible solutions.
The issue is resolved by one more step into what i had suggested in my questions
At step 3, after changing the product hierarchy, I simply go to billing plan tab, thereby generating billing plan even before I add milestones in the project.
To my understanding, generating billing plan in the sales order must be conflicting with the milestone being added to the billing plan from the project, giving 2 billing plan numbers in the background and throwing update termination dump.

Update termination during Periodic Posting in RE-FX

Hi,
I am getting a update termination error -SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC during periodic posting for Lease Out Contract. Tcode - RERAPP
We use deferred tax. This functionality is used to transfer service tax
credit from interimn account to final account as applicable in India.
As suggested in the note 913805 by SAP we deleted the BTE's in application Key FI-TAX
Inspite of that we get the same update error.
Also we observed that after deleting the BTE's our service tax credit
functionality is also not working.
Further I have observed the following:
I am getting error only while posting contracts with service tax.
Tax Code L1 Account Key OS1 & OS2 & OS3
Please help me in finding a soultion to this.

Hi,
The transfer step will transfer controlling assignments from the contract to the rental objects. This is useful if you want to run the controlling reports in order to see a P&L statement for a Building for example.

Hi,
Goto ST22 T.Code and analyse the error.The error message why it is terminated will be displayed here.
Or go to SBWP T.Code in the user where you got this error and check the inbox.
It will display why the error is appearing.
Show the same to the ABAPer and ask them to work on it.
I think your server may be slow and it will take some time to update the order created by you.But I am not sure.Check the error message.

Hello ,
"Update terminated " error has two reasongs.
First is system update was not active and hence terminated
For this to check Goto the transaction code SM13 and check whether the SYSTEM UPDATE is active or not.
If it is active ,
Then click on the Option TOBE updated in the status and execute, then in the next screen you can find some list of documents that are not updated and causing error .
Click on MODULES in the screen and find the erro which causing this error.
Most this kind of error will happen if something in the Funcion Module or USER EXIT is missing.
Please check and revert back if you need further details

While saving service work order Update termination

Hi Friends,
We have a service order integration with Notifications. First we create a Notification and in turn create as service order.
When the order is saved it goes for a update termination and the error message is " 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL " for IW52 transaction. Actually when we save it provides the order number but never gets updated in the data base.
Again when we create the order from Notification for the second time, order gets created by skipping a number. For example when we save the order if the ordewr number is 902345 where it is not created , then when we create again the order number is 902346.
Have any one come across such terminations in IW52 for IW32?

At last my problem was resolved as it was escalated to SAP and SAP analysed as below,
This problem is caused becuase of the error in database interface. As the database server and the application server is a mix of platforms with different internal character data representations, this error occurs,
The work around solution as narrated below,
" For this we need to set the following parameters on the Default and Instance Profiles:

So the profile paprameters will be different in each of SAP systems.

STATUS_UPDATE error to update USER STATUS - Update termination error

Hi All,
I am using status_update FM in sales order user exit MV45AFZZ in a perform routine for updating user status in line item for sales order. There are 4 custom statuses created for the sales order line item. 1,2 3, and 4 by configuration. My job is to select one of those based on user selection.
Scenario: During change order process using VA02, I have to change the existing status to a third status when user selects the second one. That is for example, in VA02, user selects status 4 from previous status 3, and save, I have to make the status 4 inactive and save the new status 2 instead of 3 though user selected 3. How do I achieve this.? ????Any programming example is really appreciated. Thanks!!!
I am right now using STATUS_READ and reading the existing status 4. Then making it inactive using status_update FM. And updating the new status 2 as active one and 3 as inactive again. Two inactive updates and one active update is throwing an update termination error while saving the sales order.
Any help is really appreciated.

Hi ricky,
For saving any changes you need to have a Z-table.
In programs we can't store the user selection. In your case you can create a z-table and store the status there and delete the last status. The process would be faster as you will always have one record in the table.
. One more advantage is you can even track the changes through the Z-table(User who is changing it.)

We are trying to integrate SD with FSCM ( credit management) using WS-RM (without PI).
Details of the issue and steps followed so far.
Ideal Scenario :
Once we create / change a sales order ( in SD ) , the interface Creditworthinessquery_out (WS Consumer ) gets triggered (in SD) and the subsequent response CREDITWORTHINESSQUERY_IN(Provider) is triggered from FSCM (with the details of creditworthiness).Once the query response in received an notification is triggered from SD to FSCM (asynchronous service).
After receiving the query response the functionality of credit check happens while creating / changing the sales order .
Configuration steps followed in SOAMANAGER
We have created end points for all the relevant service interfaces (Providers) , and also created logical ports for the respective consumers.
During the creation of logical ports - for the consumers we used the WSDL (of the providers) as the inbound message action.
(This has been done to all the services query , notification that are relevant in our integration).
Current behavior / issue .
While creating sales order the sales order is not getting saved (getting updated in the database).System allows us to complete the sales order creation process and also we get a message as sales order saved successfully. But then there is a update terminated express document that pops up. Sales order is not getting updated in the database.
When I see the logs/traces in SOAMANAGER I see that the query out is successful , query in has the right response (in warning state though) . But no notification is being triggered ?? 
How to overcome this update termination issue ?

Finally we are able to solve the update termination issue . But again we are using a work around .
Situation :
Once we executed the VA01 transaction we were getting update termination issue . After lots of debuggung we found that system was trying to get the Business system details ( Own business system data ) . The table lcrt_clntcache had no values.
Solution
We inserted appropriate values in the Table LCRT_CLNTCACH (business system data ) and now it works .This is a work around we got as of now.Credit checks are happening successfully and also integration is good .
(typically if we define business system in SLD (PI) , and run SLD_CHECK , this table gets populated , but in our case we are not using PI instead we are using WS-RM)
But now few questions arise .
a) Why do we need a business system in case we are not using PI ( typically we define business system and technical system in PI ) and instead using WS-RM ?
b) Is it a good practice to update the table ( as did in workaround above )?
c) Is this any bug and needs to be consulted with SAP ?
Please let me know your views .

Can you tell me more details of how you are testing this ? I was successfully able to impilment this solution (credit management using ws-rm in ehp5). If you can give me more details i can surely try to help .
