Material Replication R/3 to SRM 3.0 - material not in COMMPR01

Hi,
We regularly repicate Product category from R/3 to EBP without any problem. For a requirement, I created a material in R/3, and now want to replicate it to EBP 4.0 (SRM 3.0)
I executed the following objects In R3AS in the same order as listed below,
1. DNL_CUST_BASIS3
2. DNL_CUST_PROD0
3. DNL_CUST_PROD1
4. Material
All the process were succesful. SMQ1/SMQ2 were clean, R3AM1 had green signal for all.
But when I check in COMMPR01 or in table COMM_PRODUCT I donet see any material.
I am not sure where I am going wrong. Please suggest.
My requirement is to bring the Material from R/3 to EBP for procurement so that I need to create an equipment in R/3 (automatically) at Goods receipt, refering to this material number for tracking purpose.
Any solutions for this would be welcome.

Hello Mahesh,
MARA-MATKL is actually the material group. The material number would be MARA-MATNR.
As an example our filter settings for materials are:
MARA     MATKL     EQ Equality (= Low)     101780                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
MARA     MTART     EQ Equality (= Low)     ZAWA                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
MARA     MTART     EQ Equality (= Low)     ZLAG                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
Also, I don't know if it'll make a difference. Could you check transaction R3AC4 and see if 'material' is active/inactive.

Material replication from ECC to SRM

Dear SRM 7.0 Experts,
We are implementimg SRM 7.0 and we are trying to execute the Initial Load of materials into SRM 7 from ECC. We have completed all the Middleware settings and all the customising required for material replication. Whe we run the initial load (tcode R3AS) and select the first object DNL_CUST_BASIS3, it runs but the status remains "Running" in R3AM1. There is no errors in SMQ1as the entry runs and completes and therefore disappears. There is no errors recorded in SMW0 or SLG1 either. What could be the problem?
I checked in SMQ1 & SMQ2 as well, but there is no entries here for the object DNL_CUST_BASIS3. what we can do to resolve the issue ?

Have you checked the outbound queue in backend R/3 system ?
Have you defined the additional user in CRMCONSUM table apart from the CRM user?
Verify and, if necessary, change or insert entries in tables CRMCONSUM and CRMRFCPAR as
described in SAP Note 430980. See also SAP Note 720819.

Material replication between SAP and SRM

Howdy friends.
Is there any way to stop having to manually activate the material replication queue between SAP and SRM each time please?
Our admin team go to transaction SMQ2 each day and for 2-3 years have been manually activating each queue manually and doing this several times per queue as the entries do not reach zero. Surely, it is possible to set this up to be automatic as a job?

Material Replication from ECC to SRM 7.0

Hi Experts,
I am working on Extended classic scenario SRM 7.0 with ECC 6.0, I have created the Material Group and Master data in ECC system. While doing replication via R3AS i am getting the following error msg( I have applied Note 720819 & 330401in ECC ).
Errors:
Hierarchy for material types does not exist
(Before materials are imported from the ERP system, the material types from the ERP system must exist as categories in CRM/EBP. When the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material types are imported automatically and created under the category MAT in the category hierarchy R3PRODSTYP (product subtype).)
MATERIAL: Object will not be loaded
Pl do the needful.

Steps to create the product category in SRM:
1) Create MM material groups in ECC client. This will create a transport. Go to SRM Tcode R3AS and select the object u201CDNL_CUST_PROD1u201D from the list and run it. You can monitor the job using R3AM1 in SRM. This will bring the material group into SRM. This can be seen in TCode u201CCOMM_HIERARCHYu201D in SRM.
2) Once it is done. Go to IMG in SRM and go to path SRM> SRM server> Cross app biz settings> Account aassigmnet> Define GL code for Acc *** Cat and Prod Cat. Maintain the GL code against this prod cat for all the account assignment codes. This is client specific setting and need to be done in every client by opening it. This GL code is given in the form in ticket.
3) Do a test and check if the product category is available for procurement in SC.

I created material No;21,22,23 in backend system.And carried required procedure for replicating all material.But material replication has done without my materials i.e..,21,22,23 etc

New materials created in ECC for a already replicated product category in SRM... transfer happens by BDoc, you can view the queues in SMQ1 & SMQ2.
Check that there are no filters setup in R3AC1
In SMW01, you can check the list of BDoc, for material replication BDoc type is PRODUCT_MAT, click on show BDoc message, you will see list of materials replicated via BDoc & errors if any.

Problems during material replication from SRM 5.0 to ECC 6.0

Hello all,
I tried to replicate material master from ECC to SRM but i am not successful.
System can able to replicate all the product categories but not the material.
System showing the process is done and it is showing green light when i drilldown.
Can any one ever had experienced such a problem?

As mentioned in SAP OSS note 872533, DNL_CUST_BASIS3 is obsolete, therefore, Please skip the download of the object DNL_CUST_BASIS3 and continue with DNL_CUST_PROD0, DNL_CUST_PROD1 and MATERIAL.
Following OSS note 872533, DNL_CUST_BASIS3 is obsolete.(Though OSS note mention DNL_CUST BASIS3 is obsolete for SRM 5.0, However, this customizing object does help in synchronizing the UOM from R/3 to SRM.)
However, it seems to still work in SRM50...

For ISO codes synchronisation, you can go to transaction CUNI -> ISO and then select "utilities" -> "adjustment".
A pop-up will be displayed to select the backend code

Why we need CRM middleware for material replication from ECC to SRM when we can do the vendor replication from ECC to SRM with ABAP report? IS there any technical limitation?

Vendors and locations, for example, you can replicate from ECC to SRM using ABAP reports.
However, if you want to replicate the following information, you should use the middleware:
- DNL-CUST-BASIS3 - Basis CRM online
- DNL-CUST-PROD0 - Material number conversions
- DNL-CUST-PROD1 - Product : categories
- DNL_CUST_SRVMAS - Customizing: Service Master
- MATERIAL - R/3 Material Master
- SERVICE_MASTER - R/3 Service Master

Material - UoM Pair issue in SRM Portal - shopping cart

Hello Experts,
When we try to add Pair type material in shopping cart in SRM Sandbox Portal (Material no:
11100000000111) , it is throwing error as " Incomplete items in catalog. Only complete items were transferred" in checkout screen and item is not showing in shopping cart.
I created some test implementation on this BADI BADI bbp_catalog_Transfer, so that it will give more log on SLG1 for this issue.

this error is simple in the fact that there are a few mandatory fields that needs to be transferred from MDM to SRM SC
The following fields are required fields in all cases:
u2022 Either NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION[n] or NEW_ITEM-MATNR[n] must be filled. Only one of the two should be filled.
u2022 NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[n]
The following fields are required fields depending on conditions:
u2022 NEW_ITEM-UNIT[n] if NEW_ITEM-MATNR[n] has not been filled
u2022 NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY[n] if NEW_ITEM-PRICE[n] has been filled
u2022 NEW_ITEM-EXT_SCHEMA_TYPE[n] if NEW_ITEM-EXT_CATEGORY_ID[n] or NEW_ITEM-EXT_CATEGORY[n] are used
u2022 NEW_ITEM-EXT_QUOTE_ID[n] if NEW_ITEM-EXT_QUOTE_ITEM[n] has been used
u2022 NEW_ITEM-CONTRACT[n] if NEW_ITEM-CONTRACT_ITEM[n] has been used
All other fields are optional.
check in the catalog OCI mappings if these mandatory fields are mapped.
if they look fine : then make sure that the values in those mandatory fields are also maintained in the SRM side
for eg : if Prod cat of R01 is maintained and sent from MDM : then the same R01 must be present in SRM
if UoM ISO of EA is maintained and sent from MDM : then the same EA (not EACH) must be present in SRM
this will solve ur issue.

Overwriting Conditions data during Material Replication from R/3 to SRM.

Hi,
 When creating a new info record and then running the material replication program everything looks OK. However, if for the same material you create a new info record or change the existing info record and then run the material replication, some of the previous data is removed.
 We implemented BADI(PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2) to read info records from R/3. When i debug BADI all the info record and condition info is populated. Once the control leaves the BADI standard SAP code is not inserting/updating delta condition records. It is only populating latest info record.
 SRM 4.0
 Support pack level : 11
 BADI Name: PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2
 Method Name: MAP_R3_TO_CRM_MATERIAL
 Conditions Populated in structure : COMT_PROD_SERVICE_BDOC- CONDITIONS-CND_BBP_WORKING_SET.

Do you use IPC for pricing? I am not sure whether you can use R/3 4.6C with SRM5.5. Check your systems. Refer SAP notes 539720 if you are using simplified pricing (Classic scenario).
Also check for SAP OSS Notes - 394975 and 420343
Update of price in srm is possible through the SAP OSS Note 420343. This note describes an option to transfer a price from the Backend via a report and a BADI and to store this price in the condition table of the corresponding product in the EBP. But you have to do small changes,i think this note will certainly helps you to transfer material master prices to srm product master automatically.

In Material replication alternative Unit not replcated to SRM

Hi Experts,
We have a issue in SRM 7.0. We have replicated some products from ERP to SRM, for some material Alternative unit is replicated and we can use that UOM for creation contracts and SC. But for some materials this alternative unit is not replicated. When we made changes to these materials, replication failed in Bdocs with Below Error.
1.Order unit T is not assigned to this product(For some materials already this Unit got replicated)
2. Validation error occurred: Module COM_PRODUCT_MAT_VALIDATE, BDoc type PRODUCT_MAT.
Please help me to find out the issue.

This is because the Log system entry in your ECC system has been changed after the first time it was setup.

Iam getting error when i replicate material master from r3 to srm.
i successfully done service replication in to srm system, but material not.

Material Master Replication R/3 to SRM

Hello SRM Experts,
I am in a process of replicating MM from R/3 to SRM server.
This is not a new one,already some materials are loaded into SRM.
Ths issue what I am trying to understand is I have many materials,material Types and material groups added in R/3, but not all flowu2026
I just want to know if I add a new Material Type,Material Group and Materials on R/3 side how do I get them replicated?
What are the tasks that need to be performed on R/3 and SRM for their replication?
I have gone throgh the Blogs of material replication by Vipul,but this is not pointed.
In R3AM1 it is showing the below status...
Running   DNL_CUST_BASIS3
Running   DNL_CUST_PROD0
Running   DNL_CUST_PROD1

Do I need to start the initial Load R3AS again?

I have made sure that i cleared all the queues in both systems
in SMW01 i found the below
Category for material group 4000 does not exist

Diagnosis
If material groups are used in the SAP system, they must exist as categories in CRM/EBP before you import materials. When Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material groups are imported automatically and created in the category hierarchy R3MATCLASS (material group).
Procedure
Check whether the material groups have been imported successfully and exist as categories.
Proceed
If necessary, import the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.
I tried restarting the DNL_CUST_PROD1 but this gives me below msg

Why SAP SRM material replication happens through CRM middleware?

Can some one help me to understand, Why SAP SRM material replication happens through CRM middleware? Is there any functional/Technical reason behind this design?

SRM releases later SRM 4.0 are working with the same middleware implementation,
there where no changes between the releases. The SRM middleware implementation
was decoupled from the CRM middleware development at that time.
(Middleware is based on the basis functionality of queued Remote Function Calls qRFC)

What is the use of transction SMQS and SMQR ?
what is the use of registering inboud and outboud queue in SMQS and SMQR ?
Do material replication will not work if I will not register any queue in the said transaction code ?
If yes, what are the queue I need to register in SRM and ECC respectively ?

1. T code SMQS is used to register a destination and prior to this u need to define your destination by using T code SM59.
2.T code SMQR is used to set up the ques.CRM ---> CRM Middleware and Related Components -
>Queue Setup à Register CSA Queues.
3. to monitor and organise the Inbound and outbound queues.
