Material select issue

house my issue is
                              1. after creating an inventory document, adding materials to this doc is streeful i have to add them 1 after the other is they no other way of selecting all the materials
                               2. i know for each material a document is created so if i have 2000 materials 2000 documents will be created and during the entering of inventory count does it mean i will enter inventory count for 2000 materials? please thats very stressful is there a short cut to this to make my work easy i mean thats the whole essence of sap erp

you are probably exploring MI01 transaction. which is usually taken to count only 1 or 2 materials at any time between real anual inventories.
But the real big inventories are carried out with transaction MI31. there you have a selection screen to select several materials automatically
SAP will allow to have up to 300 materials in one inventory document. It will usually take care about that accoring to the settings made in MI31 selection screen.
It is more stressful to count 2000 materials than entering the count for 2000 materials in SAP.

You cannot control this through Auth.
You can prevent this by assigning the message type for message number 750(cn) to "E= Error" through the config for message control.

Can I use NLAG material type to create a dummy material to issue Credit / debit memo?
My requirement is to issue CM/ DM for the items that are not defined in material master. What should I consider from stocks/ accounting point view to implement this?

Well I have defined ZLEG matl type similar to NLEG and created matl for that.
Then I have used that matl in std. CM/ DM...with std G2N and L2N item categories...In account determination proc. KOFI I have maintained req.G/L account and created one cycle. The accounting entries are passing correctly. Using the pricing proc. which I am normally using for my CM /DM.....apart from that is anything required to do?

Constant selection issue

I have a request to create a query on a multiprovider and show characteristics that are only in one of the 2 basic cubes as in the example:
in cube a, I have the following data:
Material    Sold-to Bill_Number Qty
A1415R   100123   600019      100
in cube b, I have the following data:
Sold-to    User    Bill_Number Amount
100123   AK523 600019      50
I want to see characteristics from the 2 basic cubes in the query like this, using as selection criteria, the material:
Material    Sold-to User       Bill_Number Qty Amount
A1415R   100123   AK523   600019      100   50
I have tried with constant selection on characteristic 0INFOPROV and it works if I remove from drill down the characteristic "user", but whenever I drill down on user, the query shows all possible users in cube B:
Material Sold-to User    Bill_Number Qty Amount
A1415R   100123   AK523   600019      100   50
                  EM258   600019      100
                  MP296   600019      100
                  LY212   600019      100
                  JK688   600019      100

In the query I select Qty from cube A and characteristic 0INFOPROV as "constant selection" and also "display values not posted"
for Amount, I select characteristic 0INFOPROV as "constant selection".
Is there anyway to solve this? what am I doing wrong?

It shows all data from cube that has no material and 2 lines from the cube with materials ( the 2 lines from the material selected in the screen).

Material download issue

Hello Experts,
I am facing typical material download issue, please help me out to overcome this:
- material number in ERP has lot of speical characters say e.g. - : =
- DNL_CUST_PROD0 / PROD1 / PROD 3 / TAX all has bee done
- Materials are already downloaded
- When I tried to download new materials from ERP to CRM(missing) I am getting error: as "Mat. for Initial Download: Function table not supported" ; additionally I am also getting tax sequence for country CA, but in ERP no tax classification maintained for CA for particular material. Also no data available in TSTL, TSKD etc..tables.
Pleas let me throw your thoughts here.

Corrections present in note:1121999 was due to program error.
Did tax customizing error still present?Did you run txn:CRM_TAXCUST_VALIDATE.
Check the error tab of the Bdoc and see can you get any hint?Also,does the BDoc contains Data or its blank?
Its very difficult to know the cause unless having look into the system and debugging the issue,

Menu selection issues in Flash CS4 for Mac

I'm having a few menu selection issues in Flash. It seems some fields are de-selecting automatically (and quickly). For instance:
1) When I double-click a layer to change it's name, it highlights then immediately de-selects. I can only rename by right-clicking and bringing up the Properties dialog.
2) Fields highlight briefly then immediately de-select in the Properties menu when using the Tab button to advance or cycle thru fields. I have to click on each field individually to enter dimensions/characters.

On occasion, I'm having an issue in Photoshop where the tools are off by 30 pixels or so. Examples:
- Paint brush affects an area approximately 30px to the right and down from the brush head.
- Selection tool selects an area approximately 30px to the right and down from the arrow head.
This only happens on occasion and can be fixed by restarting Photoshop. I have not had any luck fixing the problems experienced within Flash.
I'm experiencing this on two different machines that have CS4 installed. My only guess is a conflict with a Logitech driver OR a Wacom driver, but I have uninstalled the software and unplugged the Logitech mouse and Wacom tablet to no avail.
Long time Flash/Photoshop user.... never had a problem like this.
Anyone else have these issues or know a fix?

This is a known issue, however we have not been able to reproduce it internally. The way to fix it (assuming it's the same problem) is to change your workspace (such as resetting to a default shipping layout, and then modifying from there), as it seems as though something about the workspace is causing the problem. It could be very specific to where its layed out on your monitor(s), some exact pixel size of a panel and/or grouping - and so on. However, we haven't been able to reproduce this internally yet - only reproed and fixed similar problems - so I cannot say for sure, however changing the workspace has fixed it for the other users I've talked to seeing this one.
If you are able to share the following about one or both of your computers and send it to jdh (at) adobe, greatly appreciated:
* workspace XML file from the Configuration directory (before changing the workspace!)
* description monitor layout (ie: primary on left, secondary on right... or "one" )
* monitor resolution(s)
* screenshot(s) of your layout exhibiting the problem

Datagrid select issue

I am using flex builder 2.01 and have been using datagrids
for a while now. I have recently ran into a weird situation where I
have one datagrid out of three that just will not allow a manual
selection. If I set the index to 0 for instance, the initial view
of the datagrid shows the first item selected. If I go to select a
different item, the first item becomes unselected and no other item
can be selected. If I leave the initial state to be no item
selected, I can never select an item. All other datagrids are
working fine. I have tried to set selectable to true but that
didn't help. This is really odd, any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

Mmmm... Well the good news is I fixed it. The bad news is I
have no clue why it fixed it. This particular datagrid is in a
different tab in a tabnavigator panel. Attached is the expanded
working code. On the line:

I had a click="{GetPropertyArchive()}" to refresh the data on
tab selection. This was old code that was made unnecessary at a
later date but I did not remove the code. My guess is the datagrid
assumed the characteristics of the parent tabnavigator and instead
of ... wait that can't be right. If that was the case then changing
the datasource would not have fixed the select issue because the
'click' definition on the tabnavigator still existed. I would
really like to understand why this mattered so I could avoid this
issue in the future. Any ideas??

Multiple Material Selection linked to Equip BOM

Dear Experts,
We have Equipment BOMs.
Now there is a requirement during Material selections in From To fields, that if I select the option 'Material by Equipment BOM' the list of materials under that particular Equip BOM should appear. (Exactly the way 'Material by Material Group' etc do) for this I need to have the above option in the Menu. i.e. Material by Equipment BOM. How do I achieve this?

Hi,
Check the BOM of the material which you are entering in the production order.
Check which is the input material for the final produced material. send the input material.
Or
You can go to CO11N / CO11 and while confirming the production order you can directly click on goods movement and do a GI with 261 Mvt type.

Blocking the material for issue

Dear friends,
I have got the stock of 10 for one material.
I want to block this material for issue. It shall not be issued to anybody unless until i unblock it.
Any provision is there in SAP.

If you are having the stock of 10 nos as unrest .stock, you can move the stock to blocked stock by transfer posting using mvt type 344 .
it can be taken to unrest by 343.

LTP material selection

Hi
Please could you inform which materials are considered for LTP scenario.
My point is in my LTP scenario i have PIR with 2 material and this materials are having single level bom with 2 components only.
When mep is run then proposals are created for lot of materials more than 80 for that planning scenario.
In my planning scenario there is no selection of fixed receipts or sales order etc.
Also iam using one plant in planning scenario.
I would like to know sap logic for material selection.in LTP

Use transaction MS70 report in SAP to see list of materials requirement from LTP
then use transaction MCEC to see LTP planning results in SAP.

MD04 - Multiple Material Selection

Currently MD04 is providing us a single material selection at Individual Access.
I was wondering is there any other way to select multiple materials at the selection screen beside using the collective access screen?

Only multiple option can be done using Collective access "MD07" as rightly pointed out by Vijay. But here it cannot be specific materials.. but a collection of materials my be by the way of filtering, and other selection criteria available

For this Goto SPRO - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Material Determination - Define Substitution Reasons
In this you have substitution reasons like ZZZZ which you while maintaining VB11 master record.
Here make entries like this:
subs reason Desc Entry Warning Strategy Outcome Sub
ZZZZ xxxx blank blank A blank blank
This will surely solve your problem

While creating reservation for component through maintenance order can we make
material selection compulsary from BOM attached to the object?
User cannot create reservation if the material is not availabe in BOM.
