Material sourced from multiple plants

Hi all
I have a Plant A which sources material from Plant B, Plant C, and Plant D. We use STOs to transfer material from Plant B,C,D to Plant A. If I use a Special procurement key then I can only define one of the source plants. What is the solution for this?
Will Quota arrangement work?
thanks a lot

John,
Special procurement key is mainly useful for planning.  It does not prevent you from sourcing from another plant, it only sets that one plant will be defaulted as a source.
So, you can set up STOs from all three plants.  Set your SPK for the 'most likely' plant.  If a planner wishes to override the MRP created Purchase reqs, he can do so by manually entering a new source plant in the Purchase req.
Now, if your intention is to have MRP automatically source from all three plants, according to some fixed ratio, then remove the SPK from the Material Master, and create Purchase Info Records for all three source plant vendors.  Then, enter these Purchase info records into a quota arrangement, according to the ratios you wish to procure by.

  • Selling Material From Multiple Plants

    Hi Experts,
    I have two questions.
    1. Is it possible to have more than one division for a material. If Yes, how we can do this.
    2. How to sell a material from multiple plants. What is the procedure,
    Thanks,
    Shan.

    hello, friend.
    1.  is it possible for a material to have 2 or more divisions?  yes and no.
yes, if you leave the division in the material master blank.  the material, when processed in the sales order, then copies the division from the sales area of sales document.
yes, if you configure cross-division, or if you configured the 'check division' options in the sales document type via VOV8.
no, if you specified the division in the material master and you have made a sales transaction.  (it would still be a yes, if you made the right configurations using VOV8 described above).
    2.  how do you sell material from different plants?  by extending the material to the different sales org-distribution channel-plant using MM01.  be sure to maintain the Sales org 1 & 2, and Sales general/plant views for each combination.
    regards.

  • Material transfer from one plant to another

    Hi expert
i am transfer material from one plant to another , for the same i have  created a vendor in that i have assigned supplying plant, and in the Purchase order, i am need to use inventoried tax code.
For the same i have done transfer with 351 and i did migo , but i didnt get  FI document for 101 movement
If it is development, how do we acheive this.
Let me know if you need more details on this. Appreciate your possible solutions to this.
    Thanks
    Rgds
    Nabil

For the stock transfer within two plants in the same company code, Accounting document gets generated on doing goods issue.
Supplying Plant Stock/Account BSX gets credited
Receiving Plant Stock BSX gets debit.
After that its stock in transit for the receiving plant and by doing goods receipt you are just taking goods in so the accoun ting document does not get generated again while doing GRN.
If it is Company Code, it will be  sale & purchase concept  where in  vendor & customer master are created in respective plant and the accounting entries for that scenario will be
    At the supplying plant
    Stock Account Credited
Cost of Goods sold Acc Debited
    At Receiving plant
    Stock Account Debited
    GR/IR Clearing Acc Credited
You can also go through following link

  • MM01 material copy from at plant levele

    Hi,
I have a simple but very important question to ask about MM01 material "copy from" function.
When you copy a material at an organisational level other than general data (at plant level for exemple), SAP copies some data and left some others blank
For exemple, in "Work Scheduling" material views, it copies "Prod.Sched.Profile" data but not "Unit of issue" nor "Prod.stor.loc."  data.
What make the difference between these data ? Why all isn't copied ?
    Thanks for help
    regards
    Morgan

storage locations are plant specific customizing.
SAP cannot assume that the second plant would use the same keys like the first plant.
If SAP would copy the storage location, then it would result in an error if it is not customized for the target plant - better not to copy it.

  • Material Issued from other Plants

    Hi All,
    I have 2 question here.
I have created a STPO with delivery date say 12.09.2009 from my plant ABC to the Plant XYZ and 140 qty, For this XYZ plant has issued material on 15.09.2009 around 100 qty.,
Now I am looking for the report ME2W to find out what are all the materials has supplied by other plant till 14.09.2009.
but as per the report ME2W it is having I/P option as delivery date, so if i put delivery date between 01.09.2009 to 14.09.2009, it is showing  all the material which is issued on after 14.09.2009 also as i have put the delivery date and also it is checking as per delivery date.
    Question:
    1. How to get these reports ie., materials issued as per issued date or posting date not as per delivery date or not as per material code---- any transaction available for this.
    2. one more i come across here in STPO is that, if i create 100 qty of PO but it is allowing to issue more than the PO qty, say if i create Po with 100 Qty but other plant can issue more than 100 ie.,>100.
Is thr any settings available to make such the system should not allow to issue more than the PO qty.
Please help me out on this.

    Dear Vidya Dewangan ,
I have checked MB5B, it is not for the requirment what i want.
See this report or MB51 would works with only 2 plants where within which these ST can occur. What in my scenario we have more than 2 plants, See i will clearly expalin the situatin -
    Thr are 3 plants-  Plant A,Plant B, Plant C.
    ST happens b/w A and B, A & C, B& C and Visa versa.
Now I want to know what are all the ST happens between Plant A and Plant B, where Plant A has supplied some material  to plant B on some day(ie., 351 on posting day),say i dont know material i know only the dates.I cant use MB51, is thr any other report i can get.
    Pls help me out.

  • Singles sales order shipping from  multiple plants in different lega entiti

We are a global Mfg and distributor of scientific instruments. Due to the complexity and delicate nature of these instruments we may need to ship product from as many a three different shipping points / plants that are each owned by a different legal entity.
Does SCM have any functionality to automate the co-ordination of the multi-plant shipment so that all the product can be shipped to arrive at the customer site at the same time ?

    Hi,
How do you plan to make the order entries? What is the criteria to ship the product from different plants?
Please clarify if you're talking about the same product being shipped from different plants or different products shipped from different plants? I can think of two scenarios because of  some ambibuity in your posting.
    1. Same product from different plants: If this is case, How do you plan to decide to split the order quantities  to be shipped from different plants into multiple lines in the sales order?
    2. Different products from different plants based on some criteria: If this is the case, I understand you will enter multiple order lines.
In both the cases, there is something called 'Delivery groups' in ECC that is attached to Correlation Profiles in SCM GATP (though delivery groups can be used in ECC stand alone) which will make sure that all the items within the same delivery group have the same delivery date, ultimate delivery date will be the latest delivery date of all the items.
Hope this is what you're looking for. If not, elaborate your requirement to help you better.
    Regards
    Mohan

  • Sourcing from multiple supplier

    Hello Guru,
We have one material that needs to be sourced from two suppliers. One in US and other is in Canada. Is there a way to order from these two different suppliers on a rotational basis? Is there a way to order from the US supplier every 3rd or 4th order and other times from Canada? If there is way, can you please give me the details steps to configure this. Can quota arrangement be used for this? Thanks so much.

    Hi
Yes you can use quota arrangement for this.

  • Material planning from another plant

    Hi,
    Can anyone answer me
I am planning for X in plant P1
There is a material in Plant P2 and the same material added in BOM for X but the material is not maintained in plant P1
    How this can be managed
    shrish

    Hi,
For that u have to create same material in both plants.
If it is in BOM of X, you can use special peocurement key for component, i.e.production in alternate plant, purchasing from alternate plant, etc.
So dependent requirement will be created in another plant for that material.

  • MRP STO from multiple plants

    Hi All,
Is there any way that we can configure standard SAP to look in multiple plants before it can create a STR for special procurement key ?
    thanks for your help.

    Chandru,
If it is your only business requirement is to manually search other plants for stock, you don't need to do anything special.
When you are in the sales order, perform your ATP.  On the Availability control screen, you will see what the ATP situation is against the plant contained in the sales order.  If the proposal is unsatisfactory, you can clik on the "other plants" button at the top.  It will propose a list of plants that can supply this product.  Select the ones you want, and proceed to the next screen.  It will show you the possible commit dates available for each of these plants.  Select the one you want, and it will then perform a standard ATP check against that plant.  If you accept the results, it will change the plant in the sales order item to the one you have selected.   Save.
Yes, a bit of work.  But, no more than you would have to do if you manually searched for stock, and then transported the stock to the original plant.

  • Material Replication from Multiple R/3 System to SRM

    Hi,
Please help me reagrding the below error.....!
I am trying to replicate material from two backend (r/3) systems, i am getting an error  (Exception condition "LOGSYS_FOR_GUID_CHANGED" raised.).
    Regards,
    Nish Kel

    Hi
    Check the note 765018.
In case of multiple backends and also if systems are refreshed with other instances (client copy), the logical system ID will be changed.
So we need to run the report mentioned in the said note and run the replication.

  • STO with delivery from multiple plant

    Hi,
My client requirement is for many-to-one STO.
e.g. Some material is sent from Plant A and plant C to plant B. All the plants are in same company code.
    1. I have cretaed vendor VA (and assigned plant A to it in purchasing org data) and VC (and assigned plant C to it).
    2. Also created a customer CB (for plant B) in the sales org of A & C plant
    3. In the vendor master VA and VC I have assigned CA as customer.
the problem is, what to maintain as the delivery plant in the "delivery plant" field of customer CB ? (There is place for assining only one plant as supplying plant but in my case I have two supplying plants !)
and in the material master there is only one field for Special Procurement Key for generating PR during MRP run.
Please help me whether this is possible, if yes how to do it?
    Thanks.

It is possible on Cisco RV320 device?

    Hi,
This should be no problem. It should work as you have thought.
I tested the configurations on my own ASA
    object-group network REGIONAL-SOURCE
    network-object 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0
    network-object 10.1.2.0 255.255.255.0
    network-object 10.1.3.0 255.255.255.0
    object-group network REGIONAL-NAT
    network-object 10.1.201.0 255.255.255.0
    network-object 10.1.202.0 255.255.255.0
    network-object 10.1.203.0 255.255.255.0
    nat (LAN,WAN) source static REGIONAL-SOURCE REGIONAL-NAT
Here at the results of the "packet-tracer" to show the translations
    ASA(config)# packet-tracer input LAN tcp 10.1.1.100 12345 7.7.7.7 80
    Phase: 4
    Type: NAT
    Subtype:
    Result: ALLOW
    Config:
    nat (LAN,WAN) source static REGIONAL-SOURCE REGIONAL-NAT
    Additional Information:
    Static translate 10.1.1.100/12345 to 10.1.201.100/12345
    ASA(config)# packet-tracer input LAN tcp 10.1.2.100 12345 7.7.7.7 80
    Phase: 4
    Type: NAT
    Subtype:
    Result: ALLOW
    Config:
    nat (LAN,WAN) source static REGIONAL-SOURCE REGIONAL-NAT
    Additional Information:
    Static translate 10.1.2.100/12345 to 10.1.202.100/12345
    ASA(config)# packet-tracer input LAN tcp 10.1.3.100 12345 7.7.7.7 80
    Phase: 4
    Type: NAT
    Subtype:
    Result: ALLOW
    Config:
    nat (LAN,WAN) source static REGIONAL-SOURCE REGIONAL-NAT
    Additional Information:
    Static translate 10.1.3.100/12345 to 10.1.203.100/12345
As you can see, everything is fine
Naturally take into consideration the fact that if you were to (for some reason) remove a "network-object" statement from some "object-group" then the operation of the "nat" would change even if you entered the removed "network-object" back. (unless you removed the last "network-object" inside the "object-group") This is because the order of the "network-object" inside the "object-group" would change. You would essentially have to recreate the "object-group" and "nat" configuration.
    Hope this helps

    How to creat   individual  Datasource  for   1.Finance & Payemnt Mis , 2. Inventory, 3. Invoices,  4. Taxation , 5. Mater data. ?

    Hi,
Go for the generic data sources.
    1. first create the view on all the tables.
You can only use join conditions but not Union.
you can specify one table as primary table based on your requirement.
    2. build the data source based on the view.
