  • Shelf Life without batch Management

    HI.. Experts
Without batch management can I able to enable the shelf life option pls guide me

    Hi
You can enable the Shelf life expiration option without batch management also, but its of no use.
When you activate SLED with out batch you cannot track the Shelf life expiry date anywhere.
When we activate batch management, while doing the delivery for SD,etc based on SLED,etc the batch can be shorted and picked. If we do not have batch management then the system picks the material randomly not based on SLED,etc.

    Hi Vinod.
Yes, it's possible to work with BBD / SLED without Batch Management.

  • SLED Without batch management

    Hello Gurus
How to implement Shelf life expire data concept with out batch management .
How to identify stocks , only based on Shelf life in Inventory managment ?
Any input will be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Nick

    Thanks for your input
    Hi,Biju
Qn for you : Suppose if i receive 100 today with sled life 60 days , and tomorrow 100 with sled life 60 days, means total stock is 200.
How we came to know which stock contains 60 days and 59 days as on today. MMBE report will show 200 only, what we are going to gain by this ?
How a user knows about the SLED life ,In our case Date of Production and date of receipt will be same
Thank your Jürgen L. , Your point is valid
Without batch management it is unmanageable.
Is it any way to distinguish the stock by SLED life without batch managment ?
Is it possible to pull the delivery BY SLED days using FIFO  through Inventory managment ?
    Thanks for the valuable discussion

  • Stock ageing report without Batch Management

    Hi Gurus,
My client wants a Stock ageing report. But my concern here is can we achieve this  without batch management
According to my client, Inventory ageing report should  show stock quantities and stock value as follows,
    1. Below one year
    2. Between one and two years
    3. Above two years
We can accumulate the goods receipt as per Material document date and movement type according to the above age requirement.
But, can we track goods issues from the above age groups without Batch Management.
Experts Pls reply and If possible, pls explain how we can achieve this.
    Thanks
    NDS

As you already noticed not only the input (GR) but the output (GI) is also important.
The date of the GR is only one thing, but after that you received the goods in your SLoc you cannot make difference between stocks received at different times.
As your stock is not distinguished in the system as per the GR date you cannot say that which sub-stock has been consumed during GI.
So, without batch management you cannot achieve your goal in standard system.
Of course, physically you can realize your idea by putting labels on different batches - this would mean batch management physically and not in SAP.
If you use warehouse management you can use a workaround: the GR date is stored in the quants and this makes possible to track the age of the stock without batch management. Please check:

  • Material forgot to tick the batch management but the GR and IR is done

    Hello,
Material A should be in batch managed but the settings in the material master is forgot to ticked. PO is created as well as GR and IR is already completed. The invoice is posted and according to finance it is paid already and cannot cancel the invoice anymore. When trying to tick the batch management in the material master, an error is "Stocks already exist at plant level". Checking also MMBE, stocks showing in the Open Order quantity since the GR is cancelled.
Is there anyway I can tick the batch managed in the material master?

to set the indicator is less restrictiv than removing it. so just make the inventory in current and previous period zero.
you can see how much inventory you have in thosee 2 periods in MM03  valuation view or plant stock view.
follow instructions  given in oss note 30656

  • MB1C LSMW Recording fails with missing Prod Date for Batch Managed Material

An LSMW recording for transaction MB1C that was batch managed was successfully recorded.  This included the entry of the Production Date before pressing enter to post the Good Receipts.  However, when the transaction was executed, the error came back, "Enter the date of production".  In looking at the screen in the lsmw batch results, it shows the date in the production date field.
I also tried to create the recording in the Transaction Recorder (trancode SHDB), and process the recording simulating the background mode and got the same results.
Any ideas why it seems to be ignoring the production date?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Problems with existing stock and batch management indicator

    Hi,
We would like to set the batch management indicator for a material.
However, there is stock on the material for the given plant.
The different stock categories for the plant/material combination are as follows (according to transaction MMBE):
    Unrestricted use 150
    Reserved (for production ordeers) 42
Open order qty (incoming PO) 100
"When I try to set the batch management indicator in MM02 I receive the following error message:
    Material Master Maintenance
    The batch management requirement cannot
be changed for the following reasons:
Stocks already exist at plant level.
      Plant SLoc
       PL01 SL01
       PL01 SL02"
Can someone please guide me in how to remove the stock and the reservations, so that we can set the batch management indicator? Does the reservations of stock have any impact (there are reservations for 5 different production orders for this material)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lars

in plant A, you have to add 21 in current period (e.g. with 202 movement), then you issue 171 in previous period. with 201. Result: both periods are zero.
plant B, just issue 17 in previous period with 201.
for Plant A   171 with movement 202 back into stock with previous period date, and subsequently 21 goods issue using 201 in current period.
for plant B: 17 with movement 202 and previous period date.

  • Get Recover Point Expiration Date in DPM Management Shell

    Hello,
I am currently using DPM 2010 and am trying to retrieve the Expiration Dates for individual Recovery Points using the DPM Management shell. I know I can
retrieve this information by viewing the tape contents in the DPM console but, I would like to be able to utilize the information in scripts if possible.
    I have seen
THIS POST. However, the provided solution has been unsuccessful in my attempts. I am assuming by "get-rps" they meant "get-recoverypoint" which makes sense but, I dont
see any methods with a similar name or apparent function to get-expirydate.
I find it hard to believe you cannot retrieve this information from the DPM Shell but, by the silence of my search results, it just might be.
I look forward to Reading your responses, even if they are telling me it can't be done, or that i missed something in my searches.

    Hi,
Try this new version of the script. It is pretty much the same script I just added an entry that if you do supply a switch label, it will output the label of the tape instead of the tape barcode. Example: if the script is named duetape.ps1 you just run like
    this:
    .\duetape.ps1 label
    # This script will parse all active protection group that is configured for long term #
    # protection to tape #
    # It will parse all tapes which are already set as offsite ready #
    # It will list all expiration date of these tapes. Currently it will list a tape even if it is #
    # set to expire months or years in advance. #

    # ========== #
    # Ver 1.3 - Added option to show output with Tape Label instead of Barcode #
    # To switch to Label just enter the script name followed by word label #
    # Example: .\duetape.ps1 label #
    # Ver 1.2 - Output now is saved on file duetape.txt #
    # Ver 1.1 - Expire date/time information was masked to only show the date but not the #
    # time. Took mask out so now we return date and time. #

  • COA without Batch Management

    Hi Experts,
I've worked with COA's in the past & always worked on them with Batches. Was wondering how much sense would it make to print out COA's without using Batch Management.
Could anyone share their thoughts on this ?? I dont want to work with Batches, yet, some of the products that I sell will need COA's for them.
    Thanks
    Anand

    Dear Andry
COA printing doesnt require batch if the values you need to print is not from a previous inspection.
You can activate inspection from delivery and can record all the values here . The same can be printed in the  COA

  • VPRS with Free Goods and Batch Management

    Dear Experts,
I have a problem on the products billing with Free Goods.
I will explain this, before the implementation of Batch Management (with batch split) the billing document show the condition VPRS on the main item (TAN) and the free goods item (TANN).
Now, when the Batch Management was up, the condition VPRS disappeared on the TANN item, I checked the order and it does shows the VPRS conditions. When i check the conditions on the billing document it shows me the following message when i check the VPRS condition
Condition ignored (requirement 004 not fulfilled)
Then I tried to debug the price determination and i realized that only on the TANN position the field komp-evrwr (price determination on the item category) is not 'X'.
Aditionally i can mention thar the batch split item category is defined as YG05.
Actually i only managed to show the cumulated VPRS cost on the main item.
Please someone say to me if this correct or there is a way to put the VPRS on the free goods item.
    Javier Sandoval Vera
    Ecuador

    Hi Javier,
what do you do with the VPRS in your calculation- system ?
If you need i, you delete the requirement 004 in your calculation -system.
on the other hand, you can change TANN to komp-evrwr (price determination on the item category) is  'X'. Then you have to add an 100% rabate for TANN and the resukt will be free good.

  • Warehouse stock with production date of batch

    Hello,
Can somebody tell me any report where user can see warehouse stocks along with production date of a batch. User wants to do FIFO while doing inventory transactions. And user wants to first transfer oldest produced batch first.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Sudhir,
Thanks for your response. LX02 shows only GR date for quant- for certain quant GR date is updated as todays date if some stock transaction is done for that quant.
    User wants report
He will then be able to move oldest stock based on production date.  Example quant has GR date as 24th Feb 2011. But its production date is 24th Feb 2010. So ideally this stock should be moved in FIFO method based on production date.
To summarise, I require standard SAP report  stock in LX02 as well as production date/receiving date of a batch in quant.

  • DVD with expiration date

Is it possible to create a DVD with some sort of expiration date. I know its crazy, but I've got a client that has to do a distribution internally, and they don't want to information to be accessible after a certain date. I know the best way would just be to do a web clip, and then pull the file down afterward.
I was thinking that at some point about 3 or 4 years ago, there was a rental service that would supply customers with a dvd, that after a week or so would not work in the player anymore.
Any ideas if this is possible. If not in DVDSP, how about in another software app?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Gak, it is back again. I am not sure I see the point of it. With Netflix and Blockbuster offering home delivery, Apple iTunes and others figuring out the download market and with improvements to come, seems like a waste of resources (as they note about recycling) ... I guess the market will be one way out the door so you do not have to return anything.
Wonder what is in those chemicals

  • Extending basic material with classification data

    Hi
We intend to use a BAPI / function module to extend a material - BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA seems to be recommended in many discussions here -
However, how I do add data for a material classfication view using this BAPI - or is there any other BAPI/ fm to do this ?
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts on this.

<b>BAPI_OBJCL_CHANGE</b> : This BAPI changes an existing classification, or creates the classification if it does not yet exist. The classification is defined by the required entry fields for the object key (ObjectKey), object table (ObjectTable), class name (AllocDetail-Class_Num), and class type (AllocDetail-Class_Type). The default value for the optional date field (KeyDate) is the system date, on which all classifications become valid. The new characteristics and/or values are transferred to different tables according to data type. Numeric, time, and date characteristics are transferred to table AllocValuesNumNew, character and boolean characteristics are transferred to table AllocValuesCharNew, and currency characteristics are transferred to AllocValuesCurrNew.
The object key (OBJECTKEY) must be transferred in internal format. This means before conversion exits. For example, a material number must be transferred with leading zeros.
If the BAPI runs without errors, table Return contains no messages of type "E".
    Assignment created: message CL735
    Assignment changed: message CL737
    Assignment not changed: message CL738
This BAPI only changes the parameters of an existing assignment (or creates a whole new assignment), but it does not delete the assignment to a class and replace it with an assignment to another class. If you want to reassign an object, the old assignments must be read with BAPI_OBJCL_GETCLASSES and deleted with BAPI_OBJCL_DELETE, then the new assignments must be created with BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE.
The information transferred by this BAPI replaces all old information. An empty field means "delete entry!", not "no change".
This BAPI does not change the database. To change the database, call BAPI BapiService.TransactionCommit afterwards.
You can only use this BAPI for objects that are not classes!
This BAPI only processes assigned values for classification - not for configuration.
