Materials to be dispatch with FIFO price

Hi,
My client doesnu2019t want to use MAP concept for one particular material type which contains capital items & wants to update the value of material stock with last purchase price (maintained in PO).
The stock value shall be updated on FIFO basis.
It shall also be issued with the value as per the PO price on which it was purchased.
For Ex. Material A with lot 01 purchased with 10 * 10 = 100 & with lot 02, 10 * 20 = 200. so MAP for Material A is 15rs.
when doing STO for Material A for 5nos then system is posting with MAP 15rs but not the purchase price. My client wants to post with the purchase price but not with MAP. we tried through batch management also but is going on with MAP. please suggest me how to do this and any config required for this.

Hi,
What is your B1 version and PL? It might be a bug based on your error description.
Have you checked all components? Even if one component is non-inventory item, you have to define this non-inventory item with a standard price.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Last Evaluation Price with FIFO

    Hi all
I am using FIFO Valuation method on 2007 SP01 PL05. I have made two purchases of an item code with the prices below:
    01/05/10, 10 units, 8 u20AC
    03/05/10, 10 units, 8.2 u20AC.
After that I sell 10 units to a customer of mine. When I run the Product Evaluation Report I would expect the item to have as Last Evaluation Price 8,2 u20AC. This is because I have sold the first 10 units (bought for 8 Euros) so the remaining have all being bought for 8,2 Euros.
However, running the report the Last Evaluation Price is shown as 8 Euros.
Is this the right operation for FIFO on SAP Business One?
    Thank you in advance
    Gerasimos Galatis

    Hi there,
The Last Evaluated/Calculated Price is only updated when you run the Inventory Valuation Report. This value is actually meaningless, unless used to calculate Price List values.
    Kind regards

  • Items in the shopping cart appear with different price than in the catalog

    Hi All,
We are running SRM 5.0 (Classic Scenario) with external catalogues.
After selecting items from the external catalogue and transferring them to the shopping cart, the items appear with different price(the problem exists in the productive system)
The strange thing is that there is no dependence or sequence between the differences. For example, in one shopping cart, one item is with correct price, the price of the other item is not correct (when I click on the icon which is  showing item details in the catalogue, the price is different than the one in the shopping cart). Sometimes the difference is significant, sometimes not - if the item price in the catalogue is 22.34 EUR, in the shopping cart is 21.22EUR or if the item is 45.62EUR in the shopping cart is 45.60 EUR. There is no logic.
I tried to create a shopping cart in the support system, with the same items from this catalogue, and they are sent back in SRM with the correct prices.
I traced all OCI parameters, sent from the supplier catalogue, and everything is correct.
At the example given below the price in the shopping cart ordered in the productive system is 69.00CZK, and after that during the test the correct price of 73.870CZK has appeared.

I checked the error log in SLG1 for BBP_OCI, and no error message exists. In my opinion the problem can be in supplier system, because otherwise all items will be with wrong price. And at the moment, there are shopping carts in which all items are with the correct price!
It is not something in the user profile, because in one shopping cart created by one user some items are correct, some of them not.
I also checked with the supplier,  they said that they haven't change the price, recently.
Has somebody of you met this problem?
In the IMG-> Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.) I have set all parameters for the standard call structure: the URL of the supplier, our company ID and password for their catalogue.
In the Detail view for the catalogue, the following parameters are set
u201CAdditional functions in the product catalogueu201D field:
    -     Display product data again in the catalogue
    -     Validate product data from SAP Enterprise Buyer
    -     Find supply sources

    - Use Error Log
    Thanks,

That means that we are not maintaining material numbers in SRM, so there are no predefined price or info records for that materials in R/3 system, or in SRM.
In the set up of external catalogues, validation of the price is set. Which means that, if a new shopping cart is created from already existing one, and meanwhile, a change of the price is done by the supplier in the catalogue, the new item price will be adopted in the shopping cart.
No prices are maintained in the SRM system, everything is from the supplier catalogue.

  • Price valuation with standard price in case of external procurement

    Dear All,
I have the following scenario with my client.
All the materials will be valuated with price control S, whether procurement type is E or F. We don't have any problem if procurement type is E. But where as if procurement type is F and price control indicator is S, the system calculating the moving average price and as well as standard price is also updating for some materials. For some materials there are not moving average prices.
    1. Can any one tell me when SAP calculates both moving average price and standard price? is there any setting to be done.(procurement type F and price control S)
    2. there are differences between moving average price and standard price, ofcourse there may be a difference, but in some cases the difference is more and higher than the standard price, this may cause financial loss to the company. How can solve this.
    full marks will be awarded.
    thanks & regards,
    Ramesh Balivada

    Hi
Moving average is updated for External purchases although price control is standard price in all cases where there are movements in materials i.e., when they are purchases...
Check for the materials where there are no updation of moving average and externally procured materials, there might not be any purchases..
There would be no losses as even though it is calculating mov avg price, the stock, consumption is calculated with std price only.
Check both the cases where there are std prices and check for cases where there are both prices getting updated.

  • Acct determination for Materials management small differences with keys

    Dear all,
While posting a document in MIRO, it throws error as 'Acct determination for Materials management small differences with keys not defined in ch/acts'.
Please advise a solution to rectify this error.
    Regards,

    Hi,
It seems due to small differences between debit and credit side you are not able to post the document price differences). Check all the data to create an entry first and  Check the data format. Can you check  in OBYC is there a way  to  have a transaction DIF (Materials management small differences) post to different GL accounts based on valaution class (plant)?

  • Batch at Packing Stage with mutiple prices

    SAP : ECC 6.0
    Module : Production and MM
Issue : 1 Batch with multiple MRP.
    Domain : Chemicals
Let me say I am very new to SAP and this forum. I could not find the exact place where to post my query so posting here. Help me where to post the query if this is wrong place.
We are in the process of Moving from a Legacy system to SAP R/-3
    Our Process is as follows.
    1. Batch Transaction : Batch production how we are going to produce for a batch will be declared. Batch No as follows.
    YYMMPR0023  > YY -> Year MM- > MONTH PR> PRODUCT 0023 --> running batch.
so batch transaction we will declare how much quantity we will produce. ex : 2000KL (kilo lt)
2 Stage 2 : Packing while packing as per the market requirements we will pack this material in different packs not continue.
ie. we do not pack whole material one time as per the market requirements the material will consume as per the size of the pack in demand.
Due to this our Pricing strategy is also keep changing. ie packed material will be in 2 or 3 prices at different prices.
when we dispatch the material will be identified with the price as sub field to categorize them.
Current legacy system we are following this.
    Sales
Packing --> Dispatch from plant ---> Dept. --> Dealer ---> Customer
    Return
    Customer --> Dealer --> Dept --> Plant
this process is running. At all the places we are able to identify the stck batch level and even at MRP(price) level also.
Implementor says in the R-3/ SAP standard this feature is not available. It is not possible with standard mechanism
I would like to know what is the mechanism to be followed to address this.?
    Kindly inform us.

    Hi
I'm not sure I understand you...please define your question...
    1)
As I understand here question is:
    - batch number assignment
    - amount of the material that belongs to that batch
In SAP you can use automatic batch number assignment, and you can also define the logic /rule based on which system has to generate it.
When you make confirmation against a production order or goods receipt w/o PrdOrd refernce in REM (repetitive manufacturing), you define the produced quantity --> SAP will allocate the batch number
    2)
As I understand here you have two questions:
    - how to solve pricing based on packaging
    - how to track the material (traceability)
If you use different material numbers for different packaging (different packaging may mean diffenerent SKU), there's no problem. If you want to use the same material number for different packaging, it's very likely you have to go to developemnt - generally, batch is given / determined at the time of delivery creation. But in your case the batch should have information on the packaging and you should define it (batch) in the SO to solve pricing.
When you sell the material (as I understand you sell it to the distributor), the material won't be in your system any more that's why you cannot track the goods from distributor to customer).
Is Depot yours? Does the ownership of the goods change when you give them to the distributor? If not, you can map the process:
Plant --> STO (stock transport order) --> Depot --> Consignment fill-up --> Distributor --> Consignment GI --> Customer
Please give more explanation if my answer is not ok.

    Csaba

  • Stock transfer between plants in a company with different price

    Hi, expert,
i want to transfer materials between plants inside a company with different price which set by supply plant randomly, not the valuation price, how can i achieve this?
    Thxs & best wishes,
    David

    Hi,
    In short, you cannot.
Within SAP you cannot make a profit or loss by transferring an item between two Plants within the same company code.
This is not necessarily an SAP restriction as such, it is due to basic accounting rules.
The company code is seen as the legal entity for accounting and so if a movement within that company resulted in a loss or profit then this would break the rules.
I am not saying that it is impossible to set it up this way (nothing is impossible) but I personally recommend that you find another way of achieving this. Trying to modify the system to break such an important rule will definitely cause problems.
In previous implementations I have used the following option.
Simple use basic STOs that transfer the items at the material valuation price. But then at the end of each month produce a report that shows what materials have been transferred between the relevant plants and at THAT stage make a financial posting to reflect the "benefit" that has been realised (based on prices held in a new table, that represent the price that would have been charged).
It does appear to be a failing of the SAP system but it really isn't. What it normally indicates is that somehow the wrong org structure may have been built and perhaps the two plant should really be attached to separate company codes (especially if you need to show "profits and loss" in this way)?

  • FIFO price when Goods Issue is wrong

    Hi
I  have 2 warehouses: 02 and 03 and by mistake I did a Goods Issue from warehouse 02 instead of 03.
    I am using FIFO.
How can I correct this wrong goods issue so that my FIFO prices are correct?
    Thank you
    Irina
Edited by: Darius Heydarian on Apr 14, 2008 4:07 PM

I’m afraid; there is no good solution to reproduce the exact FIFO structure. If you need the original structure, you should remove all the higher layers with goods issue and rebuild it with appropriate goods receipt transactions...
May be someone has a better idea?

  • Creation of PO with Zero Price

    Dear Experts,
I need to craete a PO with 0 Price (Free of Cost). But I will be charged only for the transportation.
Example I am creating a PO for 1000 TON of Material. Free of Cost. For delivering 1000 TON 100 delivery will be required. Transportation charge for each delivery =  150
    So I should be charged for only 100 * 150 = 15000.
How to do this in SAP.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You can post Transportation charge related to separate G/L account in MIRO.
Active "G/L account'  TAB in the MIRO screen to post COST by selecting check box of "Direct posting to G/L account=active" &  then save, in the following path
SPRO> Material Management>Logistics Invoice Verification->Incoming Invoice->Activate Direct Posting to G/L Accounts and Material Account
    OR.
Post Transportation charge related in t.code:FB60.

  • Finding of materials in scheduling agreement with more than 150 lines

    Dear Experts,
we are in need to find materials in scheduling agreement with more than 150 lines. In standard SAP, materials can be searched only based on item Nos. is there a way we can search by material in ME38. also we noticed that find icon is greyed out in ME38.
    Please suggest.
One more request is, to create an uplaod program for maintaining delivery schedules for multiple SAs.
please sugegst if this is feasible.

I am also curious if anyone has found a solution to this problem.
We routinely have scheduling agreements that are hundreds of line items. Users find it difficult to find the line item they wish to work with. It would be helpful if we could search by material number or sort the line items by material.
As Raghavendra mentioned (ctrl+F) functionality is not available in ME33L or ME38.
    Thanks.

  • A/P Invoice added with incorrect price

    Good Moorning Experts.
    I've i little problem.
I've added a A/P invoice generated from 7 GRPO with incorrect price in the row of the invoice.
How can i do to change the price?
I can not do a credit memo cause all goods have been sold, so i don't have the goods in the warehouse.
There is a way to correct the situation??
    Please, sorry for my english...
    Regards
    Gianluca Calloni

    Hi
I am sorry with the confusion with AR invoice ...instead of AP invoice
So I guess service invoice  or service credit memo is the option because you donot want to touch the inventory ....
but just the price only ....
If the price is greater than error ....you have to pay more to vendor ..so do a service invoice and pay more to vendor
If the price is less than error --- you have to decrease ..pay less ...so do a service credit memo with actual referal ..
Your inventory value might have wrong calculation ..which method you are using ....
You might have to do item cost revaluation ....
Otherwise you need to reverse the whole process from SO and PO side .....and start from scratch
    Hope this helps

Note:Please donot use full name ..I don't like it

    Hi,
Are you using the standard programm and print form or are you using your own?. Most of the printing issues happens because of own programms. Try with the standard and then you will be able to see why is this happening.

  • Production Order GR with Planned Price

    Dear All,
We are using following steps for production order=
    1) Create BOM, for Semifinished material with Price control = "S"
    2) Create Roting, with all Keys PP01, PP02 and PP03 with Material allocation to respective steps
    3) Standard Cost Estimation using CK11N and CK24
    4) Create Production order using CO10 with Material and WBS Element.
    5) Material issue against Reservation. But the material may be changed after releasing prodction order first time. And Actual issue for the BOM material may be more or less in qty.
    6) Final confirmation with completion of last phase confirmation of production order.
    7) Production Order TECO
    8) Prodction Order Settlement using KO88
Now my problem is while I am doing final confirmation the GR done is with Planned price (Based on BOM) + Subcontracting charges which it is set with production order while releasing it for the first time.
Kindly tell me is the system behaviour is correct or wrong?
We are expecting that GR should happen with the actual material issue price + Subcontracting charges only.
    Please reply.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vishal Kadia

    Vishal,
    This is for your information.
If you have production order of 1 EA- Starnadar Price =10 rs
    Raw material cost=5
    Activity Cost=2
    Overhead Cost=2
    So COM=9 rs
Suppose after production order creation plan cost is 9 rs, hence after confirmation there is no varience (plan vs actual) so actual cost is also the same 9 rs.
Now as you said if system will go for GR against actual cost, that will post in cost of good mfg account at the time of GR.
As per std SAP after GR also you can issue the material to that order, hence if you will go for more goods issue of new material against that order (unplanned issue) of rs 5 for the same order then the actual cost will again change (recalculated), but for that oredr material is allready GR with actual cost, then you will not able settle the cost of newwly issued material on that order.
So whatever the plan and acual cost GR will be done against std price maintioned in material master ( 10 rs)
    This is my understanding.
Hopes that will clear your dought.
    Tara

  • Vendor master data - Single material with multiple price

    Hi Gurus,
Per our set-up, we have 1 purchasing organization to handle the central procurement function for purchases to various countries/destination.  As such, whenever we seek for quotation from a single vendor, the vendor will provide their price for a single/same material, e.g. ABC, with various price by locations. for example:
    1. Material: ABC
    - Price: $83 (EXW)
    - Price: $85 (FOB, Tianjin)
    - Price: $100 (CFR Port Klang)
    - Price: $120 (CFR Mumbai)
    - Price: $160 (CFR Jabel Ali)
Is there a way I can use any of the vendor master records (e.g. outline agreement / info records) to capture a single material having multiple price?  At the same time, this infomation is available during our PO creation (e.g. via ME57).
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear
For Condition Type PB00, SAP has some standard requirements in Pricing Schema. For one material different location one requirement is there. But as per your requirements you need to put logic through ABAP and it will definetely work. The exact requiremnt i'm not remembering.
Just go through all the requiremnt and respect to PB00, put the requiremnt and put the logic.
    Revert me for the result.
    Thanks & Regards
