MATMAS01

Hello experts!
I am trying to migrate some MM but I have some problems using MATMAS01 IDOC.
Filling segments E1MARAM and E1MATKM is not difficult. I also can transfer the data from those segments and it creates the material master with its basic data 1 and 2 views. No problems here.
Then I try to add, with a different part number, new segments E1MARCM and sub-segment E1MARDM. But when I try to run a standard inbound I always get the error: The costing lot size must not be smaller than the price unit.
I am sure that the problem is due to the fact that I am not filling the required fields, but which are those required fields? There is any example about how to use MATMAS01 (WE19) and which fields are mandatory to fill? Any help about the error itself?
Thank you in advanced.

Read the Documentation of the IDoc type MATMAS01 using WE61. Check BD10 transaction also.

  • MATMAS01 IDOC not reaching to SAP XI via report program.

    Dear Experts,
    WE are facing small challenge.
I searched on SDN on scenarios: IDOC not reaching to SAP XI. But could not find exact solution t oour scenario.
    Problem:
MATMAS01 IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI via report program and is in status of 03 on SAP system. And there are not entries under SM58.
Under SAP XI system IDOC entry is not reflecting under IDX5 transaction, I tried to delete meta data of MATMAS01 thru IDX1 and uploaded again but still IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI.
The strange is that MATMS01 IDOC is reaching to XI via WE19 test tool. So PORT and RFC destination settings betweeen R3 and XI is also correct.
What could be the wrong ?
    Thanks
    Divyesh

    When sending Idoc from R/3,
    Settings at R/3
    create one port at WE21,
Create Partner Profile for Outbound Message type in WE20.
    settings at XI
    Create one port in IDX1
    Import Matadata in IDX2.
Create complete scenario in ESR for Idoc sender, also import IDoc in Imported Objects.
Check these settings & send test idoc using WE19.

  • Basic type 'MATMAS01' is unknown in SM58

I try to send IDOC to XI , i have done all settings when i send IDOC from BD10 i get error like that "Basic type 'MATMAS01' is unknown" by selecting message type AIDMATMAS.
but i have imported IDOC type "AIDMATMAS.MATMAS01" in integration repository already.
when i look at status of IDoc in sender system's WE05, last status is 03, not 12..Namely it doesnt reach XI.
what can it be the error ?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
Follow below configuration it will work i think it  is due to customized idoc, once again check with segment, idoc and message type configuration and check whether all are released or not.
    1. Check whether segment, idoc and message type are released or not.
    2. Define Logical system and assign logical system to sender system (r3)
    3. Define RFC destination in R3 system.
    4. Define port and partner profile, in partner profile outbound window configure idoc parameters properly
According to ur requirement ur r triggering IDOC through abap program, check with control record parameters, some times due to control record parameters will throw error.
Once r3 configuration is over configure settings in XI
    1. Import IDOC from r3 in IR window, if u getting any problem for import it will throw error.  Check with basis team for authorization.
    2. Configure RFC destination for R3
    3. Configure IDX1 and IDX2 ports properly.
    4. Configure scenario according to your requirement in IR & ID window
    It will work without fail.

  • I can create material using inbound Idoc of type MATMAS01, but not MATMAS05

I can create material using inbound Idoc of type MATMAS01 in WE19, but MATMAS05 failed. In fact I used same data ( different material number), and same inbound function, but got different result.
What is different between MATMAS01 and MATMAS05? Is there some configuation need for MATMAS05?
    My system is ECC5.0. Thanks.

    Hi, nagaraj
this is inbound IDoc, not outbound IDoc, so we can't assign Basic type in WE20, only can assign Message type.
In WE82, there are 5 records about Messagetype MATMAS:
         Message type   Basic type     Release
          MATMAS         MATMAS01        30A
          MATMAS         MATMAS02        30D
          MATMAS         MATMAS03        40A
          MATMAS         MATMAS04        46C
          MATMAS         MATMAS05        470
I think it should be ok.
In WE57, there 2 records are exist:
       FM_name                 BasicType       MessageType
      IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01       MATMAS01         MATMAS
      IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01       MATMAS05         MATMAS
so I think all configurations should be ok.

  • Modifying Matmas01 Idoc type

    Hi ,
I have a requirement where if a mterial has more than 1 warehouse then the segement 'E1MLGNM ' should be populated that many times. How can this be acheived?
Do I need to create an extension?
    Please help

If that segment is a repetitive one, then you will have to fill this multiple times and append that to the IDOC.
The max number this segment can occur is 9999, so you will have to just append this so many times. You don't have to modify the IDOC.

  • FILE  to  IDOC  SCENARIO   NEED  MANDATORY FIELDS IN  MATMAS IDOC

    Hi
I'm  learning a scenario like File to Idoc  which is i need some what are the mandatory fields for  creting the message mapping.. between source file and MATMAS IDOC...  because it was showing several fields.
is there any way to find out the  fields we need to map compulsory...  for sending IDOC successfully.
    Thanks
    Babu

    Hi Babu !
Log into the R/3 system, transaction WE60, enter the idoc type MATMAS01 or 02, 03, 04, then press F8 or go to Documentation menu, HTML Format.
It will display a document, telling you which fields are optional and which mandatory.

  • N:1 Mapping.

    Hi All,
Say I am Collecting IDOC's of similar type into One using BPM
So In my N:1 mapping,as my Source and the target messages are the same I would just change the Occurence of the source messgage to unbounded i.e
    SourceMESSAGE1 (0-Unbounded) -TargetMESSAGE1-ABC (1:1)
same with my Interface mapping. Source Interface would be Unbounded however target would be 1:1.
Now, If i test my mapping with dummy values and Duplicating my Source Message,i can only see data of the First Message, i.e N:1 mapping does not happen.
    eg..
    Source                                                           Target
    ======                                                      ========
    Messages                                                   Messages
    ---message1                                                     Message1
    MATMAS01  (Message-1)                                MATMAS01 (Message-1)
    MATMAS01  (Message-2)
Is there any thing wrong in my mapping or how does N:1 mapping happen when we use BPM.

  • How to configure a Logical System for XI External System

I'm following the 'How to configure SAP XI to use the standard SAP communications APIs (idoc, pabi, rfc) from external system - How to create XI content with the Integration Builder' document.
I have everything configured, but in section 6.7 when I try to do a transaction BD10 on to send a MATMAS01 idoc using my Logical System IQS_EXTERN to my external system, it says '1 master IDocs set up ...', then it says '0 communication IDocs generated ...' and my external system does not get the IDoc. The NX7 Integration Engine does not get a message from SAP_CE8  to IQS_EXTERN.
How do I specifically configure my Logical System IQS_EXTERN to communicate with my external system via XI (NX7)?
    I'm using the ICC Test-System CE8, SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 IDES and the NX7 Exchange Infrastructure (http://iccpi7.sap.com/rep/start/index.jsp).

Check whether you have setup Partner profile for receiving system ( Here its XI system). You need to create outbound parter profile for XI system.

  • Export tables with idoc

    Hello,
I would like to export the content of some tables (ie : articles).
I found that there are existing Idoc to do that (articles MATMAS01) , but I don't know how to do.
I need to export the datas on the same computer which runs sap, why not in XML or in another file. The aim is to access the data.
Do you know where I can find some help which tells me step by step how to send an idoc and to get it in a file ?
    thank you for your help

The only difference in your case could be the configuraiton of the ouptut port to be a XML file port that can be done in WE21.

  • Idoc error - basetype not found

    Hey,
I try to configure a netweaver system (aii) and a r3 to communicate with each other.
the aii system did not have the base type matmas01 to receive a material via bd10 from r3 to aii.
I only send a material with a number and that`s it.
I created a basetype in the aii with segment E1MARAM and the fields msgfn, matnr, mbrsh, mtart.
    Is this enough?
Then I assigned the Zaidmatmas to this new created base type zmatmas1. I configured in WE20 the parameters for the partner profile and gave him a zmatmas1.
Then I sent a material via BD10, but it does not appear under the producs in my aii. why?
what else should i do to achieve this?
In my R3 I have a status 3 and a green light, but in the aii there never is an incoming idoc. (not even a failure msg, just no connection, although the rfc works properly)

In my R3 I have a status 3 and a green light, but in the aii there never is an incoming idoc.
Check if u have any entry in sm58 of R3

  • Can we transfer customer master from ECC to SAP AII

    Hi Experts,
We need to transfer the customer master data from ECC to SAP AII ( Auto-id system )  through XI system. There seems to be no std XI content for doing this ( there is std content for sending material master ). I have found out an idoc type BUPAFS_FS_CREATE_FRM_DATA201 in both ECC and SAP AII system. I think I can use this idoc for transferring the customer master. But how do i triggere this idoc whenever the cusotmer is created or chnaged?? ( like for MM we have BD10 transaction to do this )
    thanks
    sankar

    Hello,
I do not get what is the sending message type and what is  the receiving message type.
The MaterialIn Message Type in AII is used when you do replicate material master data from ERP to AII.
In ERP You sent IDOC Matmas01 or AINMatmas ( I am not exactly sure about the name, but it is contained in the configuration guide for flex delivery scenario.
When in this replication the gtin field is not populated.
    Check the following:
open master data -> product in AII and check if you do have a table containing UOM and GTIN displayed for existing product or that you can create your own product and defining UOM and gtin for that.
If this is not possible, you have not maintained the relevant set type and product configuration in AII. This is stated in config guide again.
    Michael
Now I will be  off  for two weeks with no access to internet. Hope that helps.
