Hi all
Can any one tell me that how to block the user plant specific
My currect setting in Avalibity check block the user globly
Means if any material block by one plant it
shows error to all the plants
can it block plant specific

I doubt user can be blocked plant Specific. Check with basis consultant, if it is possible through Roles and Authorization.

Report generation for users having specific license type

Hi friends,
For my project purpose i have to generate report which has userId,License type of the user,corresponding composite role and single roles assigned to the user and transaction code.
I can get the report for user and license type from USR06 and roles,transaction from SUIM.
But I need a combined report of this. Is there any transaction code which helps me in doing this.Please let me know.

1. As mentioned by Saby: use TCode SQV1 to map all the tables with a meaningful "foreign key".
2. Download all Table contents and map them in excel by using functions.

Logical Locking for User and Session ID possible?

Hi colleagues!
We are developing on NetWeaver CE 7.10 SP6
Currently it is possible for a user to access the same business object (like a specific order number for example) in two separate browser tabs in parallel. This leads to many strange and unwanted side-effects.
One option would be to use a non cumulative exclusive locking. However we would like to avoid that as we use the lock life time "user session". And in this case we would need to set the lock only at one place and could not assure the setting of the lock again at different places (lock() may only be called once in this case).
It would be nice if the com.sap.engine.services.applocking.LogicalLocking class would support support a session based exclusive locking where the same lock can be applied multiple times but only for the same session. But this does not seem to be possible.
Does anybody know a nice solution for this issue? How to avoid that the same user opens the same business object in multiple sessions? Ideally this should be callable from a CAF application service.

Between 6 and 8 characters, le logical Name of the user is correct
He is constructed as %fistname% %lastname%/DOMAIN
Less than 6 or more than 8 characters, the logical name is not correct
We can show the partial path of the lotus's data directory.

PS : All certificates can be viewed without provide password !
Why the LDAP password of the user's entry is not used to open the ID ?

Plant specific customer master number range

Is their is any option available in SAP for assigning plant specific number range to customer master record ?

Dear Chentan,
No you cannot maintain Plant specific number ranges. WHat you can do is create seperate Customer account groups (SH, SP, BP, PY) for each Plant & assign unique number rages to eacg group.
But the above is recomended only if you have couple of plants say 2 or 3 plants. If you have multiple plants then it would to confusions. Also the standard system would not give Customer's outstanding Plant-wise & it can only give company code wise.
Thus having seperate Customer's number range for each plant does not seems to be much beneficial...

Default value in MIGO transaction for PLANT specific

Hi Experts,
I am looking for default vaule in MIGO transaction.
Whenever goods receipt is entered for one particular PLANT ,i want vaule to be dafaulted in Quantity tab No.of container unit value to be PC for english and ST for german.
Is is possible to achiece by creating new role ? if then how ?
Note : It is for PLANT specific and for only one user.

This is not possible using security. You will be able to do it via some form of customisation but you need to judge whether is it worth it.

ATP in SD. Advantage of ATP server & locks for multiple users.

I am working on ATP in SD. We have to design our own ATP calculation logic.
1. What is advantage of ATP server (logical partition) in SD. does it helps in regulating the calls for ATP calculation.
2. In standard there is lock for plant & material combination i.e. Material block with quantity transfer. but here i want blocking to be done on the level material-storage location including one more entity called paper machine which is specific in this ATP calculation.

It is quite possible to connect more than one SCM system to ECC technically. Business case will be little specific to customer requirements i.e having existing SCM systems for different business units.
GATP check can be carried out in different SCM system as you rightly mentioned based on CIF integration model. It doesn't create any issue. We have similar system set-up for internal use.
Only issue what I see here is, in case of RBATP, if you are using cross location ATP check, if will not give you desired results. Second issue will be for planned supply components, if material is planned in separate SCM system.
Such system set-up works fine when you are having isolated materials and location to plan and GATP.

How to Lock particular template for user editing.

Hi Gurus,
we have some templates created on top of infoset querrys to display the output in specific format. I want to lock particular templates for user modification. That means when the user is trying to change the template layout and try to save with the same name it should not allow to do that. if the user wants in another name then it must allow the user to do that.
How can i achieve that.

Use a naming convention on templates with a particular prefix, ie ZCORP***. Then create an authorization object that specifies that templates with the prefix ZCORP cannot be changed or deleted. The user will be able to changed and save under a different name, but not the same one.

We have created a process chain to create the Integration Model and to activate the Integration Model using this prg RIMODGEN. So, This prg we have created variants for different location wise. This process chain contains 13 processes For each location, which is running in parallel. Some time we are getting the error message " Program for creating a model is locked by User

Locking happens if there is any overlap of models or duplicate scheduling of jobs with same variant.

How to show specific data for user on redirected page once they logged in

I and fairly new, but have a general understanding of Dreamweaver. Using CS3 or CS4, how do you get the redirected page after the user logges in to show only the data for that user? I have creater the login page and it works fine but i dont know what needs to be on the redirected page for it to show only the data for the user that just logged in.
I am not very good with the coding part so if it requires it any help with that would also be helpful.

As for scripting i believe its PHP. at lease thats the page i created the login page with.
As for user-specific information: basiclly there account information.
As for database i have dreamweaver linked to a MySQL database. it pulls from 2) tables
1st table has the following: ID - User Names - Password - account number
2nd table has the following: ID - account number - names - address - ect
So basiclly i want when a user loges in for it to redirect them to a page which then only shows the data for that users. if i can link the data the pulls up by the account number that would be ideal

EHP5 - Counntry specific language for users in ESS

We are using EHP5 and facing problem while enabling country specific language for users in ESS .
Here we have .
u2022     Made language field blank in JCO
u2022     Have maintained country specific language in SU01-Default and in UME
u2022     We have maintained country specific language in browser u2026also .
u2022     We have maintained entry in IMG (SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 )
But itu2019s not working for us either in portal or in NWBC ( we have both connection available to our sandbox ). Other than English it works only for Germen (but not completely few services still appears in English e.g My processes )
Your advice will be greatly appreciated .

Thanks for your reply . I checked language packages in SMLT and here we have status for all languages other than English and German is yellow ( Warning ) Also
for NWBC in role menu only display translation options is available only for English and German and hence we have asked basis team to look into this ..Will keep you posted .

if you do not make the indicator Price control manadatory active then you can have different price indicator for each plant. However thsi indicator is never done plant specific. If you wish to have plant specific then you may have to have a new material type and again you need to control the MM01 creation for that particular plant by means of Authorisation control which is littel involved also but can be done.

EXIT_SAPLV50E_001 User Exit is not working for multiple plants case

Hi,
I have to update foreign trade data in Invoice during invoice creation using VF11. For that, I have written code in EXIT_SAPLV50E_001 and updated segal value. This functionality is working fine, if I have a single plant in an invoice. But customer has scenario where they can have multipl plants in an invoice.
For multiple plants in an invoice, this EXIT_SAPLV50E_001 is not called.
I am unable to find another better place where in I could place my code. Please help. Remember, case in multiple plants.

Plant Specific Vendor for Pur Org

Hello Experts,
Scenario: One global purchasing org. procuring across regions and region specific purchase orgs for US / ASIA / Australia
We want to have only one purchasing org and we want to have local suppliers assign to it. This local suppliers can be plant specific. No other plant in another region should be able to use this local suppliers even with the global pur org.
How can we achieve this.

we cannot restrict as u said, with the standard sap.but we can maintain internal table with the combination of plant, pur org, vendor and when we create PO , system has to check in this table and throw message based on requirement . this logic can put in BADI for PO creation. pls check with the ABAP er regarding this
