MATSU****A uj 820s

Hello ppl!
For some time i'm having problems with my burner, i'm using winXP Pro, Nero 6, the last version. Firmware version is 1.50
I used Princo -r 4x and TDK -r 8x and both are burned at 2x.
Do we need a firmware update? i see other brands releasing when new dvd disc are released...
thanks

I don't understand because if this is a standard burner, must burn any dvd's +/-, depending of the disc speed and burner maximum...
I think this is not legal,(i only get maximum speed with their brand) if i knew this i wouldn't want their dvd burner.
I'm going to contact Toshiba Support, i want to know what they have to say...
I don't have the Taiyo Yuden discs in Portugal!! lol
thanks

  • Satellite Pro M10: Matsu****a UJ-820 wrong identification

    Hello,
I had problems with my DVD UJ-810. Now I have a new drive, a UJ-820. My Operating System is Win2k. I install the new drive and voila, the system is identifiy an UJ-810. Where is my failure?
    ciao

I am also having this problem.
My Toshiba P25-S607 came with a Mat****a UJ-811 DVD drive. Upon repair, Toshiba asked the authorized service-center to replace it with a UJ-820B...which they did. My device manager recognizes it as the UJ-811, even after I uninstall the driver. When the PC is rebooted, it still says UJ-811
The problem is this: I cannot find a the firmware for the UJ-820B. I can only find it for other non Toshiba laptops...have tried installing both, and neither will install.
Can someone provide the correct firmware for me/us?

  • Several issues with Lumia 810/820

I am a tech reviewer looking at the 810 (T-Mobile) and 820 (AT&T). There are some issues I want to address before I publish to make sure it has not been resolved or if I am doing something wrong. Here are some excerpts. Comments/corrections are welcomed.
Connecting to Wi-Fi should be easier. It takes 4 steps to connect to a Wi-Fi signal. The steps are swipe left, swipe up, settings, Wi-Fi, choose signal. This is particularly irritating since Nokia does not have an agreement with public Wi-Fi providers such as Starbucks to bypass the confirmation screen automatically. The result is no connection is made without user intervention. By contrast, the Samsung Note on AT&T connects automatically to Starbucks and does not time out and disconnect. This means synching, updates, and other alerts are automatic once you are in range of an AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot using the Samsung Note. It’s unclear if this is an AT&T feature but the Lumia 820 using AT&T did not auto connect to AT&T’s network. If an app requiring an Internet connection is launch and none is found, an error is displayed instead of prompting the user to connect using an available Wi-Fi connection.
Both the Lumia 810 & 820 has an irritating habit of timing out and disconnecting from Wi-Fi after some predefined period. If you're connected to a public Wi-Fi which required an acknowledgment, your connection will stop working until you re-confirm. It will even disconnect in the middle of downloads. This is not a public Wi-Fi policy issue as my laptop, tablet and Samsung Note never disconnects from the same Wi-Fi. It appears to be a combination of the Lumia and public Wi-Fi as the Lumia connected to a private Wi-Fi network does not disconnect.
On both the 810 and 820, when trying to connect to Starbucks’ open Wi-Fi, the user is sometimes presented with the web page www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt instead of the usual Starbucks welcome page. While I know enough to change the url to www.yahoo.com to receive the Starbuck’s Wi-Fi acknowledgement page, your average soccer mom will just be baffled and sit there with a blank stare wondering why there is no connection. Looking at the explanation for ncsi, I am convinced this is the evil spirit of the dreaded Windows Vista coming back to haunt Windows 8 users.
Although the Lumia 810/820 are NFC enabled, users should beware that NFC transfer is often not interoperable between NFC devices from different manufacturers. It’s sometimes not even compatible between different devices from the same manufacturer if they are running different version of Android. Despite the presence of NFC on both the Lumia 810 and 820, it is not possible to transfer photos via NFC between these two very similar phones.
Another photo sharing option is Photobeamer. Photobeamer is initiated from the phone with the sending photo. The receiving end works by going to www.photobeamer.com where a unique QR code is displayed to be scanned with the source phone. In testing, it works great between mobile phones including the Lumia 810/820 and Samsung Note connected to Wi-Fi but trying to receive the photo on a laptop running Chrome just displays a black screen. It eventually times out and redisplays the QR code. On Firefox and IE, a corrupted image is displayed. This may possibly be due to bandwidth or browser issues but Scalado touts their solution as non technical, requiring little bandwidth with zero configuration. On phone connected to slower 2G connections, www.photobeamer.com failed to display the unique QR code altogether or only did so after an agonizing 5 minute wait.
Nokia acquired Scalado (creator of Photobeamer) in 3rd quarter of 2012 so while the app is available for Nokia running Windows 8, it may not be available for other Windows 8 phones. There was an iOS app but it no longer shows up in the Apple App store.

    hi mate,
As this is a user to user forum only for Nokia products and services, you can reach someone more directly by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page and leaving your feedback with them, for Nokia issues. Additionally, you can also leave feedback with Microsoft directly by the link: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com
I can however, respond to some of the issues you are facing. The first of connecting to WiFi, though not natively in Windows PHone 8, you can download an app from the Store such as ConnectivityShortcuts which lets you pin tiles to the Start screen to enable one-tap access to WiFi and Bluetooth and Network etc.
For the disconnect from the WiFi, the update from Microsoft that is Portico and that has already been released for AT&T and Rogers customers, and that is coming in February 2013 for other Lumia WP8 devices, addresses this issue and adds an option in the WiFi settings, to keep the WiFi on when the screen is locked.
For the Starbucks thing, it sounds like a Starbucks thing as i've had no issues connecting to McDonalds WiFi here in Australia, and as for the Photobeamer, i had no issue running it in IE10 and the latest version of Chrome on Windows 8. It is dependent on the speed of WiFi and cellular, so images will appear pixelated until the data transfer is completed.
For Scalado, Nokia makes some great products and keeping it exclusive to the Lumia range, is another way of differentiating their product from other competitors.

  • My problems with Nokia Lumia 820

I was a big fan of Nokia until two months back when I purchased Nokia Lumia 820. It's been two months and I'm having tough time with the handset.
First it was the heat issue. I know smartphones are tend to get heated up due to processors. But my mobile gets heated up in less than 5 minutes when I play games like real football, wordament and even simple games. I thought I got a bad device out of the box. When I say heated up it's not warm, its hot and uncomfortable hotness. I can't hold my device until the heat subsides. I visited the Nokia care for raising the heat issue but they said they can't do much and updated my mobile to the latest firmware (1308) and asked me to check after the update and the heat issue is still the same. Just when I thought things can't get any worse it did. My mobile has visited Nokia repair factory already twice in less than two months of purchase. The first major problem occurred three weeks back when the display would be switching on and off randomly and finally the mobile got bricked. The screen went blank completely and the device was unresponsive. Along with that complaint I've again raised a complaint about the device getting heated up uncomfortably. 14 days after I submitted my device to Nokia care I got my device back only to find that the screen isn't responsive to touch in the middle within a week's time. The upper part and the lower parts are responsive, it's the middle strip that's not responding to touch.
I've again given my mobile to Nokia care and they have sent it to the repair unit. In two months of my purchase the mobile has spent more than 4 weeks at Nokia repair outlet. It is still undergoing repair in the Nokia repair factory. I had least expected this from Nokia.
Some of my friends who have windows 8 phones from Nokia haven't experienced any problems so far, not even heating problem. It's safe to say that the problem is only with my device.
It's two months old and I've got it from the Nokia priority dealer.
What'd you call a device which spends more than 40% of the time in the repair factory in two months of the purchase. Even the 3 months EMI's haven't been payed fully.
I've encountered lots of inconvenience after purchasing the device.

i am too having the heat issues..of nokia lumia..820 its been 1 mnth i hav been w8in for my nokia lumia to be in my hand...but..its giving too much problms..it gets soo hot widthinn 5- 1- mins.. highly dat i hav to end up d calll..n i kinda felt sensation on my thumb fingr. ..n i m also havin the hanging up issues..but yesterday my phn was hang n the phn was swwitched off...n its still swtich off..,when i chrg the phn no rexn is seen..
    what d hell is going on..n how m i getin a phn ?

  • Is there a way for EDI 820 (remittance advice) to identify proforma invoice

    Hi,
We have certain customers who pay by proforma invoices. These customers send remittances through EDI 820 which we create as payment advice in SAP. When the cash comes in, the payment advice is not being applied since the document number has the proforma invoice and in FI, the proforma invoice is not stored anywhere.
Proforma invoice in our case is a consolidated billing document that is not passed onto FI. Any thoughts to have the payment advice apply when the cash comes in even though the customer pays by proforma?

  • Access points settings Lumia 820

I just want to know if it is possible to have both MMS and GPRS active at the same time in windows 8 phones. That was possible with Symbian but not possible on my Lumia 820.

    Hi ddt1,
    Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Regarding your query, the access point that you have on the Lumia 820 will be used as one. If you have both MMS and GPRS, you can use them both at the same time. You don't need to choose between the two ( 2 ) access point anymore. Your statement "not possible on my Lumia 820" means that you are having trouble with the phone. Can you tell us what exactly is happening on the phone? Is there any error happening on it? If there is, can you tell us what the error is?
We're looking forward to your response for us to further assist you.

  • Creation of EDI 820 for outgoing payments in SAP

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where in we need to create an outgoing  payment file in EDI820 with in SAP.
We basically need to create specifications in EDI820 format for the bank to print checks and make wires and EFT payments.
That EDI820 file will be created at the time of Automatic Payment Run(F110).
Right now our client is sending a flat file to external service provider and they are creating EDI820 files and sending to the banks. Going forward the services of this service provider will be decommissioned and  an EDI820 file is to be generated in SAP and sent to the bank via SWIFT Net.
Bank has provided us a sample file and file format for EDI820. This file format contains ST, BPR, RMR, REF etc records. There records have different codes and qualifiers.
As far as we have analyzed, there are no standard SAP programs that can generate flat file in the EDI 820 format. Therefore we are heading towards developing a Z program for creating an EDI820 format.
We are facing problem in mapping this file with SAP fields. We need to know how exactly we can map this file in SAP so as to create a program to generate EDI820. If anybody has had a similar requirement (for creating outbound EDI820 in SAP) and can provide us some lead, it will be greatly helpful for us.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Have you worked on this requirement?
Could you please provide step by step instructions to configure and the high level process?

  • Deskjet 710/720/810/820/1000 Series printers - Patch for 64 bit Vista and Windows 7

There is an issue with the 64 bit Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1 drivers that causes the spooler to crash with the following HP Deskjet printers:
    Deskjet 710
    Deskjet 712
    Deskjet 720
    Deskjet 722
    Deskjet 810
    Deskjet 812
    Deskjet 820
    Deskjet 822
    Deskjet 1000
The attached file contains a patch for this issue for Vista and Windows 7.
[The patch does not currently work for Windows 8 or 8.1 x64 systems.  There are some efforts to address this, if a solution is developed it will be posted here.  {Edit - I have not made any progress in getting the patch to work in Windows 8 x64.}]
First make sure the driver for the printer is installed.  If the driver has not been installed go to Start, Devices and Printers, Add a Printer, Local Printer, choose the proper port (for USB-Parallel converters the port will likely be USB001: or perhaps USB002: ), Next, click Windows Update then choose HP for the manufacturer and select the appropriate printer.
Apply the patch as follows: Log into the computer with an administrative account.  Download the patch by clicking on this link or on the paper clip at the end of this post.  Save the patch file to your computer, then unzip it.  Next copy the three DLL files to the following directory:  %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3
Note that %windir% is a system variable that points to the location of the Windows directory. For most systems this will be C:\Windows.  You can click Start, Computer and type %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 in the address bar and it will find the right place.
This can be done from a DOS prompt if DOS is opened with the "run as administrator" command, or from explorer with a copy and paste.  Depending on your UAC settings you may need to provide confirmation.  Also allow the current files to be overwritten if prompted.
This patch is not required and should not applied to a 32 bit version of Vista or Windows 7.
Thanks to extraordinary Microsoft engineer Alan Morris for guidance for the patch.
Update - the following are more detailed installation instructions:
Download the patch from here. Now click on the file and open it, then extract the patch to some directory that is easy to find. (I use c:\temp. If this directory does not exist you can create it as follows: open the administrative DOS prompt by clicking on Start, All Programs, Accessories, then right click on CMD.EXE and select Run as Administrator. Click in the DOS box then type the following:
    MD c:\temp
    CD \temp
Now extract the patch files into the c:\temp directory (extract all, chose c:\temp as the destination).
[Update - Windows security settings may prevent these files from being used, please open Computer, type c:\temp in the address bar and then right click on each of the dll files and select Properties.  If there is a message in Properties indicating the file was downloaded from the internet and may be blocked then unblock the file before proceeding.]
Next click back in the administrative DOS prompt and type the following: (stuff in green is comments, do not type them...)
DIR *.dll (this is just to verify the files are there, it should list hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll and perhaps others.)
Net stop spooler (makes sure the files are not in use.)
Copy  hpvdb720.dll  C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this is for the Deskjet 710/712/720/722)
Copy  hpvdb820.dll  c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this covers the Deskjet 820 and 822)
    Copy  hpwm5db1.dll  c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3(this covers the Deskjet 1000)
    Net Start Spooler
    Exit
[Edit - note that these DLL files will already be in the directory.  You will get a warning asking if it is OK to overwrite the files, say "yes".]
At this point the patch is installed and ready to print.
Note that the printers here do not support USB connections, they have only parallel ports. [Edit - if your printer does have a parallel port use it, this will likely be much less problematic than using a USB-Parallel converter.]   If you use a USB-parallel converter make sure it is supported in your operating system.  The following posts are flagged with USB-parallel cables that are reported to work in Windows 7.   A driver is required for the USB-parallel converter in addition to the driver for the printer.  For supported converters this is typically supplied automatically in Windows 7.  Note:  the proper port to select for the USB-Parallel converters is often USB001:.  I have heard of some cases where the port was USB002: or LPT3: as well.  If the port you are using does not succeed (after applying the patch) try changing the port by going to Start, Devices and Printers, right click on your printer and select Printer Properties, then click on the Ports tab.

  • Discovered cause of Battery Drain lumia 920/820

    Hi,
I just registered to tell you following:
I discovered the culprit that is responsible for the "semi random" battery drain.
@Home my Lumia 820 "shines" with a good battery life.
    @Work:
    - without any additional Installed app
    - no active background task (except standard entries: "extras+info" and Nokia Music)
    - every (backround)sync disabled (mail, also xbox, music.....)
    - display low
    - disabled location service
    - closing all apps with multiple clicks on back-button
    - uninstalled skype
    - disabled apps @ lockscreen
    - battery saver on
    - backup disabled
    - nfc disabled
    - microsoft account sync only 1x per day
    - disabled roaming (my provider is a roaming monster :-) roams into networks of other providers).
    - 2x fully discharged + fully charged + 12 hours on powersupply
    - and every other suggested energysave option/action i could find on internet and here in forum -> except hardreset
With all above mentioned methods the battery still gets/got literally eaten away at work in IDLE.
I had it next to me with monitor off. Only checked once per hour and it died in ~8-11 hours. No call no message no nothing.
I was curious why it only happens at work: The difference of the network coverage is, that at home it is far more inferior. I have to search for a spot in my house where i can use it for calling somebody.
So Internet is not even an option (also no HSPA+ coverage throughout the village). Normally you would have less battery life at places with less connectivity. But not in that case.
I investigated further: on the way to work I use it for surfing ~50min - 1hour -> there i loose 7-9% of my battery. (very good result for driving with car => many connection losses)
As soon as I reach the city where the Lumia reaches the HSPA+ network it begins to drain veery fast.
HSPA+ needs much more power than UMTS and I guess normal HSPA!
I compared the behaviour with the Samsung Galaxy S3 (colleague's phone) and noticed a small but profound difference:
After you "wake" the S3 from idle it will show on the screen, that it uses UMTS and not HSPA/HSPA+... as soon as you start surfing or start an app that connects to the internet the S3 switches immediately to HSPA+. After a little time the Samsung switches back to UMTS.
The lumia behaves differently: It detects HSPA+ and uses it. Also in idle!?
I followed this obvious lead and wanted to disable HSPA/HSPA+ -> unfortunately it only lets you disable 3g as a whole (UMTS/HSPA) so I switched to 2G only.
While I am writing this my L820 is unplugged 6hours now and
after much heavier use than normal (mailing, surfing with 3g while driving 45min home [which dropped the charging-level multiple times faster than gaming!], 1h gaming, 10 minutes calling)
the remaining battery life is at 70% with estimated time remaining: 1day 7hours left (after writing the whole story it went up to 2days 4hours with 69%... but i guess thats because its idleing).
This behaviour is also the explanation why some people are affected and some aren't.
Summary of change: from initially 8hours idle and not even touching the phone -> to finally using it now with 70% after 6hours with 1day 7hours time remaining.
Additional info: I live in Austria (Europe; no kangaroos ;-)) --> so I have a Lumia 820 with the german firmware without the update, which was released in USA and Canada:
    Revision: 1232.2109.1242.1001
So please implement a similar function like the Samsung S3 ... or just as a start: let us manually turn off UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+ separately! Surfing with 2g is no fun.
Sorry for the extensive and long story/facts ;-)
    Regards
    V4mp

I can confirm that my battery drain problem is related to LTE  on my US Lumia 920, at home where signal is weak I get fantastic battery life, less than 2% drain an hour, lasts for well over a day with moderate usage. My work however is located in an LTE zone and as soon as I enter this area battery life becomes catastrophically bad, several times the phone has died on me before my shift even ends. Something like 15% drain per hour, sometimes worse., I pick up my phone and even though it has been completely idle for hours it is a bit warm to the touch. I have no idea what it is doing when it is just sitting there.
Trust me, I have tried all the tips from all the other users, none have worked. This is not a problem with background applications or some feature being switched on, I have tested this phone running bare bones no apps or a fully day on "battery saver" mode which seems to make no difference, the problem persists. The only way I can make it through the workday is if I put my phone into Airplane Mode, the drain then completely stops, again at less than 2% an hour.
I am amazingly frustrated by all this, my Lumia 900 never had this problem with LTE, I almost never gave the battery a second thought with my 900, but with the 920 I am constantly worried about being stuck with a dead phone, I have almost no apps installed on the phone because I am afraid of any additional drain on the battery. I have to put my phone in Airplane Mode if I plan on spending more than an hour in the civilized world, I am so unhappy with my experience and I really miss my Lumia 900. I really wish Nokia would acknowledge that this a problem with some 920 handsets, and it is a problem, we are all not suffering from some sort of mass delusion. I have spent weeks troubleshooting and trying to find the cause. I really don't know what to do at this point.

The program that sends the flat file should give you all the necessary fields, selection criteria, etc.  If the third-party constructs EDI820 from it, then there is enough data in that file for you to add steps to create an 820.
So, I'd start with the existing program, a particular outbound file and a copy of the 820 file created from it (if that can be obtained) and figure out how the intermediary converted the data to the correct format.  Piece of cake, right?

  • Install windows 8 64bit on 64bit architecture tablet(acer iconia w4-820) by removing the preloaded 32bit windows 8.1 or dual boot

    Hi,
I need to install windows 8 64bit on a 64bit architecture Tablet(acer iconia w4-820) by removing the preloaded 32bit windows 8.1 or should make it as dual boot. For a project purpose.
I tried booting the tablet from windows 8 64bit DVD for installation but it does't even detect the DVD Drive. when i insert the recovery DVD which came with acer it gets detected.
The windows 8 64bit DVD which am trying to install is volume licensed which we use to install on our laptops. That works fine with Laptops.
Is their any different version of windows 8 do i need to try for installing on Tablet(acer iconia w4-820) or where am i going wrong.
    Thank for your help.

    SM
DISCLAIMER.  I would contact Acer about this to be safe, but if you only have one HD in the tablet you are going to have to do a clean install by formatting the HD.  You cant run 64 bit & 32 bit on the same drive AFAIK.

I've referenced the following http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/b2b-integrations/learnmore/tnb2b11g002-326857.pdf
    . Please share your thoughts.
    Thanks in advance!!

For batching scenario's filename passed from back-end is not considered. For batching scenarios, you have to provide the "Filename Format" in your partner channel configuration and at runtime B2B will automatically generate the filename accordingly. If you are working with AS2 then you may find "Filename Format" setting under "Exchange Protocol Parameters" of your AS2 channel (starting from 11.1.1.6.0). Filename format can be specifid using any one or all of below parameters -
    %FROM_PARTY%
    %TO_PARTY%
    %DOCTYPE_NAME%
    %DOCTYPE_REVISION%
    %MSG_ID%
    %TIMESTAMP%
    %MSG_TYPE%
    %INREPLYTO_MSG_ID%
If you are working with 11.1.1.5.0 or lower versions of 11g then please raise a SR with Oracle Support to get an appropriate patch for providing filename format in AS2 channel configuration.
For FILE/FTP/SFTP protocols, filename format setting is available in all 11g versions.

  • RTMPS not working in Android Air 3.8.0.820

If i build my app with 3.7.0.1530 then an RTMPS connection (proxyType = "best") works fine. If I build with 3.8.0.820, on Android I get a NetConnection.Connect.Failed after about 10 seconds. Works fine with 3.8 on iOS & OS X.
    Any ideas?

    Hi xtyler,
Are they failing to connect first time, but working second time? Or are they completely unable to connect?
If the latter I have some things that you can try, although I would have expected that these will only assist with Air 3.8 issues, which your customers probably aren't running yet.
    1. Use something like stunnel or Amazon ELB to handle the SSL, and have it forward the resulting non-SSL TCP connection to your RTMP port (not RTMPS)
    2. If your server is something other than Adobe Media Server and is a java program running on openjdk, try the steps listed here and restart your server. NOTE: This effects your SSL configuration. I can't comment on whether this lowers, raises or doesn't effect the resulting security.

These workarounds both allow Android Air 3.8.0.930 to establish an RTMPS connection to Red5.
