Matte not working when using batch conversion

Question

I'm trying to batch convert a whole lot of images from .png
alpha transparency images to .png or .gif index transparency
images.
when i export a single image using the fireworks ide i have
to set the matte value to black otherwise i get a white halo around
the image as in figure "A". If i set the matte to black then i get
the results in Figure "B" which is what i'm after.

Here is my question;
when i try to BATCH proces a number of files using the
setings in figure "B" (Black matte) i still get the white halo.
does anyone know of a work around for this or maybe i'm doing
something wrong.

A few things to try.
Try saving your export settings as a preset to use during the
batch
process.

Also, instead of using the generic FW export options, you can
choose
'Custom' from the drop down to set the settings. This was an
older file
but, it gets you to the right screen.
