Maven for shared library
Hello,
I am trying to create a weblogic ear that is not an application, but a library. It is a shared library for the accompanying application.
The shared library has a some specialities than the regular J2EE app. it requires a tailored Manifest.MF and a folder App-Inf\lib.
I am not an expert in Maven and request you to direct me a link where I could find examples for Weblogic shared library pom.xml.
Thanks,
Raj
Hi,
Please go through below url's which describes how to create shared libraries for static resources as well as to include jar files.

List view only for shared library?
Could someone help please, i have a imac with all my content on it and i am using a mac mini in my living room, i have itunes9 and home sharing turned on but when i am viewing my imac library on my mac mini it only lets me view my music in list view no cover flow or column view, is this something i am doing wrong or does itune9 not allow this option thanx.
As soon as I finished typing my last reply and hit send - I realised that there is a workaround for your problem.
First, go into your iTunes preferences on your Mac Mini, and change the settings to NOT "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised", and NOT "Copy files to ITunes media folder when adding to library".
Now, share your iTunes folder through File Sharing on your iMac. Access this file share (not through iTunes), on your Mac Mini, and drag all of your content into your Mac Mini iTunes library.
This will add everything into the library as a shortcut, but not copy the actual files. This way, you can scroll through them all with Cover Flow, or Grid, as iTunes will think that they are local files, rather than a shared library.
I hope this makes sense?

Recently played for shared library
I am listening to my shared library and would like to know how exactly to create a recently played list for my shared library. My shared library exists on my PPC and I am listening to the shared library on my iMac. It's on the iMac that I would like to have a list of the songs that I am listening to from my PPC.

How to save view settings for shared library
Just wondering if there is any way to have iTunes remember the view settings for a shared library? The library is shared through home sharing. I can change the view settings for TV Shows so that episode number etc is displayed. However, this change is lost when itunes is restarted. This is for latest iTunes on windows 7.

Playcounts aren't incrementing for shared library
I have an iPod Touch that is accessing the home shared library of a Windows machine running iTunes. When the iPod finishes playing a podcast from a playlist, the playcount doesn't increment. Is there a way to fix this?
Make sure that your iPod runs the latest software. Usually iTunes 7 will check that automatically when you connect your iPod to your computer.
I had the same problem with my iPod mini a few years ago. But with the latest iPod Software Update this issue has been fixed.

Use Sparse Bundle Disk Image for sharing library among users?
Apple's knowledge base article HT1198 (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1198) on sharing iphoto libraries among multiple users on the same Macintosh describes using a sparse disk image in the /users/Shared/ directory. For a Mac that uses a Time Capsule for Time Machine backups won't this require the entire iPhoto library to be backed up anytime a picture is added or modified?
Would using a sparse bundle disk image instead work better?
Also, HT1198 doesn't say anything about "Partitions" parameter setting in Disk Utility when creating a blank sparse image or sparse bundle disk image. Does it matter what setting is selected if the image is being kept on the Mac internal disk drive?
Is there any difference between iPhoto '08 or iPhoto '09 when attempting sharing the iPhoto library among users?I believe it may require the entire bundle to be backed up. You'd best ask that question in the Time Machine forum. They would know more about the ins and outs of TM there.
If you can afford an external FW hard drive that would be the best option by far. No worry about filling up the sparse bundle, and you could use the external HD as a work platform to help keep a minimum of 20 GB of free space on your boot drive for optimal performance of system and applications. -
Workflow for Sharing Library between Desktop Laptop and Server?
I am trying to figure out how to best accomplish the following. I believe that what I want is not supported by Aperture (by reading these forums). Until it is, what is the best workflow or workaround to do something like this?
Linux server stores raw files on samba share. Photos are placed on server straight from camera card.
G5 Desktop is main editing computer for Aperture, which imports from linux server via gig connection.
MacBook Pro will also be used to edit photos when I am off (the server) site and imports images from linux server when connected or from camera when off site.
One user, myself.
Right now I am using the G5 as my main computer, and pretty much not using my macbook to its full potential because I am worried about losing things in the workflow.Feedback to Apple (under the Aperture menu when in Aperture) asking for one-user, two-computer support.
In the meantime, a Library on each Mac with Referenced Masters. Export Projects as needed from whichever of the two Macs you choose to use for a given set of images. Relocate Masters from the laptop to the server when connected.

I am using IPAD Mini.When I am searching for any particular song or album from my shared ITUNES folder, the search is conducted in the apple store and not on the shared library. How to search for the song in the shared library
Search for shared library is impossible, as far as I know. Searches supported - are local and internet.

Remote for itunes on shared library
Hello.
On my mac mini in the living room is attached a USB drive with all music for itunes. The remote app on IOS works fine for this mini.
In my office on the same lan I have a mini which uses home sharing to see that library. However its headless straight into a hifi.
For the life of me I cannot owrk out how I can play music from the home share through this mini, is it possible? All the remote app shows is the few songs it has in its native library.
Any help appriciated because it seems to detract from the point of the home share thing.Hi Gary,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You should be able to access your Home Sharing library with Remote by pairing the two using these steps:
Pair Remote with your Home Sharing network
To use Remote 2.0 (or later) with Home Sharing, every iTunes library you want to control must have Home Sharing turned on. For more information, see Use Home Sharing to import items from another iTunes library.
Tap Remote on your device’s Home screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap to turn Home Sharing on.
Type your Apple ID and password, and tap Done.
Tap the iTunes library or Apple TV you want to control.
For more information, see the Remote Support website.
You can find these steps and more information here:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Use the Remote app to control your iTunes library

My wife and I share a computer but have separate Windows ID's. We also each have an iTunes account, using two separate Apple ID's. We have always struggled with the headache of getting music that one of us added (via purchase, downloading CD, etc.) to the other person's music library. A friend suggested we consolidate and share the same library. Sounded like a good idea so we moved the libraries to a public folder, consolidated them, etc. But now when one of us adds music to the library, the other person still has to do an "add file/folder to library" in order for them to be able to see it. This is exactly the step we were hoping to eliminate by this consolidation. Does anyone know if there is a way to make this happen automatically, or will we have to continue to do this every time?
Also, ended up with a lot of duplicates in the process of consolidating. Is there any way to identify and "mass delete" these? It will take a while to go through them all individually as the library is somewhat substantial (approx. 16k songs)
Hardware is Windows 8, one iPod classic, one iPod Nano (obviously only selected playlists on this one). All hardware and iTunes running latest software.
Any information would be appreciated!It sounds like you are using two independent libraries with a common media folder, whereas the plan would have been to ensure that both profiles were using the same library library database. Although you can place this within the Public folder I would normally create a shared library at the root of a drive, e.g. at X:\iTunes where X: is the drive that you want to use. See Make a split library portable for information on moving the library around back into a standard shape.
As for duplicates, Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See thisthread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

I want use c++ codes on linux real time. For testing reasons I want to have a function that adds 2 values and gives the result.
I've done these steps:
1. writing a c++ file in Eclipse (see screensot 2)
2. building a shared library (.so) from my c++ project in Eclipse (with Cross GCC)
3. putting this file on myRio (path: /usr/local/lib/)
4. creating a VI that calls this library from Labview with a "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshot3)
5. Setting the properties for the "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshots 4-7)
After I run this VI i get this error message: LabVIEW: (Hex 0x627) The function name for the ... node cannot be found in the library. To correct this error, right-click the Call Library Function Node and select Configure from the shortcut menu. Then choose the correct function name. (see screenshot1)
I've tried a lot things to solve this problem but I couldn't find a solution. Would be very happy if anyone can help me. I guess that I have to edit my c++ code to export my function (symbol). But I have no idea how to make it. I also tried it with a dll file in the same folder but it didn't help.
Perhaps someone can send an example which works on myRIO.
Thanks!

screenshot5
screenshot6
screenshot7can see it in the screenshot8 there is a function called "_Z8AddierenddPd" instead of "Addieren". I copied this name to Labview (see screenshot9) and it worked.
I'm sure that there is a way to compile the shared folder with gcc without decorations (mangling). But I don't know how. If someone has a recommendation I would be very glad!
Prepend each function declaration that you want to be available without name decoration with
extern "C" <your function declaration>
Or if you have multiple functions you want to export you can in the header file where you declare your functions simply use:
#ifdef __cplusplus
extern "C" {
#endif
<all your function declarations>
#ifdef __cplusplus
#endif

Photos tells me it is connecting to Library for shared photos. It's been saying this for about ten hours. I can't stop it from searching or get it to do anything else. I can go back to my photos but I can't get Photos to find the shared items.
Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time. -
Need help setting up a shared /Library/Fonts folder for font sharing
Hi,
I have a problem setting up a shared /Library/Fonts folder on my OSX 10.5.5 server that gets automounted on the OSX 10.5.x clients.
While I managed to get the folder to show up automatically under /Network/Library/Fonts on the clients, the fonts in these folders do not show up in Font Book on the client systems. Plus, it seems like there is some sort of language mismatch, since I am using a German OSX installation. While the shared /Library/Fonts folder does show up under the "Network" area (where the servers are listed), it does not connect correctly on the "/Netzwerk" folder that OS X creates automatically. In fact there are 2 folders named "/Netzwerk" on my startup drive root directory, one that reads "/Network" when looking at it in the terminal, and one named "/Netzwerk". The /Network one does have a working link to the /Library folder, and the /Netzwerk one does only contain something looking like an alias of /Library, but it does not allow any access to this alias.
If anybody did manage to get this Netowrk "/Library/Fonts" to work I would be happy for some feedback. I am simply not sure if this is related to a localization bug, or if I am doing something wrong here. The fact that the folder and the fonts does show up correctly under the network portion of the sidebar seems to indicate that my setup is correct, but still the fonts do not work.
Any ideas, or maybe a step-by-step description on how to set this up would be great.
Thanks a lot,
FlohHi, Sorry I don't have an answer for you. But how did you get to share /Library/Fonts? I was trying to do the same thing by using "File Sharing" in Server administrator. But under volumes, I don't see my root directory "/". So there is no way that I can share any of my folders under "/".
Thanks. -

Hi,
Given is an shared library for Windows (*.dll) or Solaris (*.so).
These libraries are included for native calls by using JNI.
Is it possible to identify the version of the JDK which was used for creating this libraries?

Creating a shared library for JNI in windows
I went through the JNi tutorial online and it worked just fine on a Linux computer. Now I'm trying to make do the same tutorial on windows. When I get to the step 4. Create a Shared Library, I'm stuck. I don't know how to create this shared library on windows. It gives an example using Visual C++ but I don't have that. Any tips or advice out there what I should do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
//mac.java
class mac
public native void getMac();
private native String getLine(String prompt);
static {
System.loadLibrary("myMac");//This is myMac.DLL
/*if generated by borland
System.loadLibrary("mymac");//This is mymac.dll
public static void main(String[] args)
mac mc=new mac();
String input = mc.getLine("Enter Some Thing ");
System.out.println("You Entered " + input);
System.out.println(mc.getMac());
prompt> javac mac.java
prompt> javah -jni mac
Borland compiler
/*mymac.c*/
#include <jni.h>
#include "mac.h"
#include <stdio.h>
JNIEXPORT void JNICALL
Java_mac_getMac(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj)
printf("I am in getmac dir in mymac.dll (Borland) \n");
return;
JNIEXPORT jstring JNICALL
Java_mac_getLine(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jstring enter)
char buf[128];
const char *str = (*env)->GetStringUTFChars(env, enter, 0);
printf("%s", str);
(*env)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(env, enter, str);
scanf("%s", buf);
return (*env)->NewStringUTF(env, buf);
To generate DLL
create bcc32.cfg file in %BORLAND_INSTALL%/BCC5/bin Folder
In the bcc32.cfg file add following code
-I"%BORLAND_INSTALL%\BCC55\include;%JAVA_HOME%\include;%JAVA_HOME%\include\win32"
-L"%BORLAND_INSTALL%\BCC55\lib;%BORLAND_INSTALL%\BCC55\Lib\PSDK;"
i.e the path for borland compiler and java.
now goto prompt and say
prompt>bcc32 -tWM -tWD mymac.c
This will create mymac.lib File
Now say
prompt>implib -c mymac.lib mymac.dll
That's it!!
there you are with dll
Now you can run the mac.class file by using java
VC++
Click File->New->Win32Dynamic-Link Library
Give name and Select
A simple DLL project
You will have
myMac.CPP file
// myMac.cpp : Defines the entry point for the DLL application.
#include "stdafx.h"
#include "mac.h"
#include "jni.h" //can copy or give full path
#include <math.h>
BOOL APIENTRY DllMain( HANDLE hModule,
DWORD ul_reason_for_call,
LPVOID lpReserved
return TRUE;
JNIEXPORT void JNICALL
Java_mac_getMac(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj)
printf("You are in getMac (VC++) DLL\n");
JNIEXPORT jstring JNICALL
Java_mac_getLine(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jstring enter)
char buf[128];
const char *str = env->GetStringUTFChars(enter, 0);
printf("\n%s", str);
env->ReleaseStringUTFChars(enter, str);
scanf("%s", buf);
return env->NewStringUTF(buf);
Hope this is useful
