Maverick and Adobe CC upgrade, now no main screen?

I have updated my MAC to Maverick and Adobe CC and all was fine till the main screen disapeared but tool bar remains. I unistalled, re-installed...rebooted, and spent three hours on the phone with New Delhi trying to reset Java, permissions etc...still nothing. Does anyone have any idea here how to get the screen back?

Did you change your monitor resolution or disconnect a second monitor?
If so, your main window may be off your screen.
Just trash your Photoshop preferences by holding down Command+Option+Shift on the Mac or Control+Alt+Shift on Windows as you launch Photoshop, then click on YES when asked if you want to delete or reset your preferences.

If you are selling or giving away the computer then follow these instructions:
Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
       A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must
           be shut down from inside Windows.
       B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
          1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
          2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
          3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right side.
          4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be sure
              to opt for that.
          Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
          1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
          2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
          3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
          4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
          5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See What to do with iCloud before selling your computer.
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
     A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
          1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
          2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
          3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
              Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          4. Install OS X.
          5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
          6. Shutdown the computer.
     B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
         Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
                    because it is three times faster than wireless.
          1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
              Utilities window appears.
          2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
          3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list.
              Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
          4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
              and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
          6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
          7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
          8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.

Any issues to note?

When you upgrade to 10.9 it installs the Java 7 JRE but there is no JRE6, so you HAVE TO download it from Apple before ANY CS5 or CS6 app will open. Other than that I haven't seen ANY issues with CS5.5 or CS6 in Audition, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, InDesign, Premiere, Photoshop, PSE9 or Lightroom 5.

whenever i go to plugin check page the list of plugins does not load. it does not load any plugins and does not load any 'update' button.
how can i update my plugins if firefox wont load the PLugin Check [age properly?????????

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Hi,
have you tried booting your Mac from the recovery partition by holding cmd-r while booting? If that works, then start the Disk Utility from the menu and try a "Repair disk".
After the Disk Utility is finished, try the "Repair Permissions". Though this is a highly overrated "feature", it might even help in your situation. Do this repeatedly until nothing changes. This doesn't mean there won't be any messages left over.

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

No software from the Adobe CS2 series will run directly on Mavericks.
Adobe CS3 through current CC versions Will run on OS X Mavericks.
If you can't afford to update to any newer versions of Adobe Creative Suite, you can run Adode CS2 version on Mavericks by purchasing and using Virtual machine software like Virtual Box ( free, open source software) Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion and purchasing, installing running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard server inside the virtual machine software, then install Adobe CS2 into OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server.
Contact Apple sales at 1-800-MYAPPLE and ask for software sales and ask to purchase a version of Snow Leopard Server. It is only $19.99 USD?

Working on Maverick and can download flash player but then anytime I try to use it, computer says I do not have flash player.
Any suggestions?

After you downloaded Flash did you install it?
Also check Safari's privacy settings. In Safari Preferences->Security, do you have "Allow Plug-ins" checked? Also click the box to the right of it and see if any sites are specifically blocked from the Flash player.
Given Flash is probably the biggest security risk to OS X for now, Apple wisely restricts its unfettered access to everything.

A picture iBooks on my ipad 2 won't open a picture in pdf. It blinks and takes me back to the main screen.

The keypad an unlock screen will freeze completely and I have to turn off my phone to unfreeze also when in a text or on the Internet it will freeze and kick me out of what I am in and go to the main screen. After installing mavericks and adobe i can't watch videos on most sites

I installed the Mavericks operating system about 4 weeks ago on my macbook pro and with in 3 weeks I was receiving messages on youtube and other sites that my adobe flash player need to be updated to plug in version 12.0.0.70 and I did the full install my computer recognizes the new plug in and my adobe says its up to date but i cant see anything while trying to watch any video. idk what to do this is really annoying me and yes i have restarted my laptop and checked if it meet all system requirments for adobe flash????......!!!!!!! If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select

from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked

if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
