Maverick and outlook email problems

I upgraded to Maverick and my Outlook keeps re-synching old emails. Even after I have deleted them, they still come back.

I suggest you create a new Identity and let your IMAP mail download to the new Identity. If you have POP accounts see this link on how to move to a new Identity.
Note: The new Identity will download all POP mail left on the server. If you do not wish to download old messages, log into the accout in your browser and move the old messages to a folder you create in the browser. POP accounts only download from the Inbox.
How to move your data to a new Identity
Create a new Identity.
Hold down the Option key when launching Outlook.
This opens the Database Utility
Click on the + to add a new Identity.
Set as default.
Open Outlook and it will open in a new blank Identity.

Now, it shows a message from someone this morning, but the content is an email that I received years ago. My Iphone and Ipad are fine. Any ideas? I can't read mail off of my macbook because the email isn't what these people are sending! Help!

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone solved the iPod touch and Comcast email problem?

The reason I got a touch is to check email when traveling. As of a few weeks ago, I could no longer do this. The comcast.net page now requires Flash and directs me to the install page (which I cannot download to the touch). I asked about this at the Apple Store and the touch doesn't have/cannot have Flash.
Has anyone figured out how to get past the Flash page to just sign in and get email? I am going around with Comcast about this -- they continue to mix up the iPhone and the touch. I will post if I get a solution from them. In the meantime, can anyone help?

If you do NOT have the January Software Update, you must use the Webmail for Comcast. from Safari, type in http://mobilebeta.comcast.net works as advertised.
If you have purchase the January Software update:
Click 'Mail' Application
Click 'Other'
POP Information
'Name' is whatever name you want to call the account
'Address' is you email address
'Description' Whatever you want to call the account
Incoming Mail Server

Mavericks and Preview app problem

Hi!
Yesterday I updated my iMac 27" (Intel i5, 4Gb RAM) and MacBook Air (2010) to Mavericks and noticed significant slowdown working with Preview app and RAW photos.
Preview loads photos very slowly partly covering photos with black color. This problem is on both my Macs.
I even reinstalled Mavericks completely on my Mac. Also I tried to remove Preview preferences. This didn't work. I installed Camera Raw update - no use.
In the latest 10.8 everything worked smoothly and fast. In Mavericks... it is not. I'm very upset...
Does anyone have such problems?
If there is no solution at the moment how to downgrade back to 10.8?
By the way, I noticed that Mavericks uses all of my RAM all the time. Is it normal?

Interestingly, when you go to Feedback, when you get to OS X applications, Preview isn't even listed!! Maybe it's because the changes under Mavericks have turned a previously easy application to use into a disaster area. Perhaps they don't want to hear the feedback?
1. No more crop button for the edit toolbar.
2. No more save as, or save all options under File drop down menu.
3. Some genius changed save as to export... only took me a week to figure that out!
4. When opening 7-10 jpg's to edit, various problems occur:
     a. cropping and then adjusting picture size often results in adjusting size change not being saved.
     b. after this happens on one picture, trying to adjust size on another picture doesn't work.
     c. repeated attempts causes Preview to freeze up and you have to quit the application.
     d. when reopening the same pics after reopening preview they appear in 2 or 3 windows instead of the                    original 1 window.
     e. the same problems may repeat themselves trying to edit all 10 pictures.
What used to take 4-5 minutes to do before Mavericks, now can take 10 minutes or more. Did anyone test Preview 7.0 before it was released???

Palm Treo 800 & Outlook email problem

I recently bought a Palm Treo 800. This is my first "smart phone" and it's making me feel pretty dumb. I have spent hours (on the phone with Sprint) trying to get my email set up to work. I use Outlook on my laptop and would like to be able to sync my phone to it to pull contacts, calendar, etc. and then be able to send and recieve email from my phone. However, when I sync the phone with my computer I can no longer send or recieve email wirelessly - I can only sync with the USB cable. So at this point my options are: I can set the email on the phone up to send and recieve email but not using my Outlook information or I can set up the Outlook information on the phone but not be able to send and recieve email. I am just over looking something or just too dumb for a "smart phone".

I assume your Outlook is set up to work with an Exchange mailbox, and not just download and delete from the server. Sorry im a new N95 user and sorry if this has been asked before. I really need to access my work outlook emails via my N95, is this possible?

Your best bet would be to use Mail For Exchange, it will synchronise all your e-mails and even calebdar/contacts tasks etc if you want. Simpy download the application from http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com install it and then programme your settings into it. Your mail server will be the URL that you use when accessing outlook from your internet browser i.e. Outlook web access address then simply proramme your username, password and domain in and personalise all other settings and you should be A for away!

PCsuite and Outlook, compatibility problems

This concerns at least 9500 and E90, various versions of PCsuite including the latest one.
XP and XPsp2 and Outlook 2003.
The problem has been there for years and seems to be an unnecessary limitation in PCsuite which makes my 9500 and E90 quite useless.
The problem is linked to the synchronisation of outlook-contacts from PC to phone.
An outlook contact consists of a number of structured records such as address, various phone numbers, name, title and so forth.
Below these structured fields/records there is a free-text Notes field, which I use quite a lot.
When synching PCsuite only transfers the first 1200 or so characters from the free-text field in the PC to the phone, the rest is lost, no warning or similar is issued.
Some years ago I threw away my 9500 due to this missing compatibility. I recently bought an E90 and didn't dream that the bug would still be in PCsuite, but it is.
This makes my E90 pretty useless for me.
Hope somebody can remedy this undesirable limitation.

Is this a bug is PC Suite or in Outlook, if you enter more than one mobile number in the phone by editing add details of a contact, E90 will save the number in the phone, but when you synchronise, if outlook doesnot support that particular entry into the phone, its not pc suite's issue. If you check the view log entry after sync happens in Nokia PC suite, the entry which was not supported by outlook will be termed as "Unsupported Properties". So pc suite will display the error message that it is the entry which unsupported by PIM ( Correct me if i am wrong ). So, Nokia PC Suite is doing its job, whereas in Outlook, it does not have mechanism for handling more than one number of same kind (mobile, Business etc). So the proper matching needs to be done between Outlook fields and Nokia Phone's entry.
So there is a flaw existing between Outlook and Nokia PC Suite, this has to be fixed, but which is having the issue? Is it Nokia PC Suite or Outlook ???? Share your valuable knowledge to clarify this issue !!!

Sending and receiving email problem

for three months I have been unable to receive and send emails. Is this just a storage problem and if so is there an alternative to buying more storage space?

Mavericks and Outlook - repeated download of same emails

Since my Mavericks upgrade my outlook 2011 download duplicate emails that have already been received. I rebuilt my identity database and it did not help. I am on Outlook 14.3.8 (Outlook 2011). Does anyone know how to either fix this issue permanently or roll back the Mavericks upgrade?

I solved some of the many Mavericks problems reinstalling OSX from the first step.
Turn on the Mac holding option(alt) button pressed, then you choose to install again the OS.
. Now Mail seems to run like before.
   My message aren't rejected by subdirectories.
. I can open Contacts with new graphics, but I have problem with two different lists of Exchange contacts,
the password erase itself after written down in System Preferences/Internet Contacts.
   Don't know what to do.
   I have exclamation point beside the two lists with error like this:
The operation couldn’t be completed. (SOAPWebServicesErrorDomain error -997.)
. App Store run again
. Still have problem with both Numbers and Pages....they crash immediately after a blinking window flash.
   Now I try to install again these two.

Outlook email problems

I had an e-mail account with Hotmail that worked very well, then I was informed it had to be changed to Outlook, which is driving me mad. When I click on an e-mail message to read it, it either :- a) brings up the wrong message, or b) just goes blank and
brings up nothing.
When I am hovering over a message prior to clicking on it, it keeps bringing other messages under the arrow. Has anyone else had this experience with Outlook? Any advice would be gladly received. I would have ditched it ages ago but don't want to cancel
my e-mail address.

The first step in any troubleshooting is to clear the browser cache/cookies. (you need to clear ALL cookies)
*For Internet Explorer browser & MSN Butterfly: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete
*For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data
*For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now
(other browsers are similar)
If clearing the cache doesn't help answer these.

AOL and iCloud email problem - any ideas?

Hey everyone!
I have three email accounts — gmail, aol and iCloud (which migrated from mobileme). Recently only the gmail will work in Apple mail on my iMac. I have attempted to remove the accounts in system preferences under mail contacts and calendars and add them back but it's failing. With AOL, it says Connection failed. This also happens if I use outlook for mail instead of Apple Mail. With iCloud, all services will turn on except Mail/Notes. It will look like it's on then you browse away from the setup window and go back and it's been turned off.
I've been reading about issues with iCloud mail, but am confused now with the AOL issue as well, which I haven't seen listed anywhere.
So far, I have created a new user and the problem persists. I also installed a fresh copy of lion over my copy (not an erase and install, just a reinstall leaving my files in tact). When I attempt this on my MacBook running 10.7.2, I have neither problem. All my accounts work perfectly.
I'd apppreciate any suggestions you might have!

I just wanted to update this in hopes someone can recommend a solution.
I erased my drive today and tested it and it worked. I restored from a time machine backup and it stopped working. Then I erased again, verified it was working and manually placed my files back on the machine. After reinstalling all my store, it stopped again. Clearly, there's something installed in the system that is conflicting with the mail setup. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. The problem persists on other uses on the machine, so it isn't user specific.

Is there a known issue with Mavericks and Outlook 2011 printing?

Title says it all. I was reading up on past forums both Apple/Microsoft when 10.6.8 messed up Outlook printing, was wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue. I am currently on 10.9.2. I began noticing the issues after updating to 10.9.2.
To clarify, as a user I can open attached documents from Outlook 2011 and print them that way. But if I use Command + P, or right click, or any other method I cannot print the actual message of the email. The icon will blink when proper keys are pressed but it will do nothing. Nothing is pending in print queue either.

Adobe FlashPlayer should first be uninstalled using the appropriate uninstaller available here:

8330 and Outlook Synching Problem

I am synching with outlook 2003 but some calendar items are missing. I have tried to install version 4.5 of desktop manager but i get an error about corrupted file so the instal wont work. Can anyone suggest a solution or tell me if they are having the same problems. RIM told me to contact my service provider, which I did but this is not their problem to solve. Or should I down grade software to 4.2.2????? Many thanks for any suggestions............

Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8330 comes with a USB cable and desktop software that will sync your calendar, contacts, memos, and tasks.
It is compatible with Outlook 2007. The data services package is not needed on the 8330 for these functions.
Verizon uses the VZ navigator program for turn by turn directions. It costs an additional $10-15. I tried is and it was
adequate. Note, unless you use the Vz navigator, the GPS is locked on the phone.
Verizon is my carrier as well.
