Mavericks Maps: can't delete directions

Hi there,
Mavericks Maps seems to keep the all directions/routes in the right hand directions window. Is there a way to delete the old directions/routes history so that the directions window is not "poluted" with stuff nobody needs anymore?
Thanks in advance!
B.

Click on the "Contacts" icon just to the left of the search field. Click on "Recents" and then click the "Clear" button. If you have places you want to get directions for again, add them as bookmarks. Bookmarks can be individually deleted.

  • Google Maps can't get directions over Wi-Fi.

    Hi,
I stay in the United Arab Emirates, and I don't know if this problem is specific to the Middle East only, but the google maps app is unable to provide me with driving and walking directions between ANY two locations. The app responds with the following error message :- "Directions Not Available - A route cannot be determined from this start location." I have tried changing the start location and this doesn't seem to work as well. This problem occurs while I'm connected to the Wi-Fi with the GPS switched on.

Google Maps is a 3rd party map solution. I suggest checking with their support page and see if they support directions in the UAE. Only they, or someone that has used them in the UAE could answer your question. Good luck.

solution is to spend more money o apple products till they start making a profit in that market and hen realize they need to provide more services there
    there's really no other way

  • Iphone 6 maps can't find directions, says "directions not available"

No matter what address I enter, my new iPhone 6 maps app says "directions not available."  I've tried a hard reset, but that didn't help.  My location is shown on the map, but it will not map another location.

  • Can songs be deleted directly from the 5th gen ipod?

I occasionally find a song I no longer want, and want to delete it then and there off of the ipod, but I can't find this function on the ipod. I forget by the time I get back to the computer to delete it, therefore deleting it when I next sync the ipod.
any ideas anyone? Should this be function the ipod should be able to perform?

No, you can't delete directly from the iPod. Depending on how you use ratings, you could, for example, rate all the songs you want to delete 1 star. Or you could add them to an On-The-Go playlist. With either method, you would the easily be able to find them when you next synced.

  • The trashcan is not showing up in the upper right-hand corner of my photos, so I can't delete them. Can anyone address this problem?

The trashcan is not showing up in the right hand corner of my photos on my iPad. So I can't delete pictures. Can anyone solve this problem?

Where did the photos come from ? Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing.

  • How can i delete a video in photos of ipad 2? there is no delete icon!

How can i delete a video in photos of ipad 2? there is no delete icon!

They are deleted in the same way as photos, which are deleted by : only photos/videos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/wesites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo/video in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view. Photos/videos that were synced from your computer are deleted by removing them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing.

  • How can I delete a floorplan in Cisco Prime Infrastructure

I built an 8 story building.  Started from the top and worked my way down.  Uploaded floor plans, added APs to them, etc.
When I got to the first floor, I loaded a floor plan, but it did not fully load somehow.  I cannot click on the first floor and bring up a plan, or anything, for that matter.  It pulls up a blank page.
Thinking I need to start from scratch on the floor, but there does not seem to be a way to delete a floor in the middle of a building!
    Thanks in advance!

  • How can I delete Documents from the KD?

The documentation regarding deleting documents is poor! Can someone show me how to do this programmatically? I've been trying something like the following Web Service below:
<WebMethod(Description:="This function will retrieve delete specified documents by CardID from the Plumtree Knowledge Directory. Excepts Plumtree CardIDs As ArrayList, Returns a Boolean (Success/Failure).")> _
Public Function PTDocDelete(ByVal PTCardIDs As ArrayList) As Boolean 'Instantiate Plumtree Remote Session Dim IPTRemoteSession As IRemoteSession IPTRemoteSession = RemoteSessionFactory.GetExplicitLoginContext(New System.Uri("http://mymachineName.com/ptapi/QueryInterfaceAPI.asmx"), "Administrator", "")
'Query the Plumtree Document Manager passing in the Folder ID Dim PTDocumentManager As IDocumentManager = IPTRemoteSession.GetDocumentManager() Dim i As Integer
Dim arrPTCardIDs As Array arrPTCardIDs = PTCardIDs.ToArray() 'Convert ArrayList to a 1-Dimensional Array
Try 'Loop throught the CardIDs and Delete them For i = arrPTCardIDs.GetLowerBound(0) To arrPTCardIDs.GetUpperBound(0) PTDocumentManager.RemoveDocuments(arrPTCardIDs(i)) Next Catch pe As PortalException Return False 'Failure! End Try
    Return True 'Success!
    End Function

You mean the Photo Library? You delete pics that were synced to your phone the same way they got there, through the iTunes sync process. Remove the checks next to the albums/folders that were synced to your phone, hit the apply/sync button & they will be removed from your phone. The only pics that can be deleted directly on your phone are pics in your camera roll.
If you mean delete the Photo Library itself, you can't delete that. All photos synced to your phone reside in the Photo Library...the various albums/folders merely contain pointers to the actual photos, which are in your Photo Library. They are not duplicates. This is similar to the way that iPhoto on a Mac organizes photos.

  • HT201210 Trying to restore a new iphone 4 to files from an iphone 3, however, the restore says it can't complete because there isn't enough space.  I would like to delete photos and music files.  How can I delete these photos?

After doing the initial restore function, I'm trying to delete phots from the system.  The itures instructions says to click the photos button the unselect photos or albums, but see no photos button.  How can I delete the photos to gain some storage space?

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

  • Can't delete photos from photo app on iPad1

The delete key appears inactive.  Can I delete the app and install something that works?  I have abung of pitures I am trying to get rid of.
    Thanks for your help,  Terry

There are other apps that store and display photos. But you cannot delete default apps that come on the iPad. The Photos app is one of those.
Photos that were copied from the web or received in emails, etc. can be deleted directly in the Photos app.
Photos in albums that were copied to the iPad by syncing with a computer are deleted by doing another sync. But before clicking on Apply or Sync in iTunes on your computer deselect the albums you want removed. Once you click on Apply the deselected albums will be removed.

  • Suddenly can't delete photos from iPhone photo library

Can't delete individual photos (no trashcan icon or Delete button appears)
Can't delete entire albums (Edit button appears above album list, but clicking it gives no red "-" icon beside each album name)
iCloud sync has long been disabled; I sync via USB cable
    Any ideas?
    ~Patrick

Photos in Photo Library must be removed by unchecking the folder(s) containing the photos on the Photos tab of yor iTunes sync settings and syncing your phone.  (Only Camera Roll photos can be deleted directly from the phone).

  • Can I delete photos uploaded from Smart Card?

I understand photos are managed through iTunes for addition or deletion, although I have not tried it yet. What about photos loaded directly into the iPad using the Smart Card uploader attachment? I cannot think of any connection to iTunes. . .I don't want to upload photos that will be there forever.

Photos copied via the camera connection kit (and those saved from email attachments or websites) can be deleted directly on the iPad in the Photos app - but photos synced via iTunes cannot be deleted in this way, they need to be de-selected in iTunes and 'un-synced'. If you do use the CCK then you can also transfer the photos to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
