Mavericks not downloading or showing up in "Purchases" window.

I don't know what else to try. I can initiate the download, and it shows up in Launch Pad, but the download never progresses.
It also doesn't show up in the "Purchases" window.
In Launch Pad, it looks like this:
Even after hours of waiting, it hasn't progressed.

Hello there, I've had the same issue all day, but I *think* I've fixed it, I'll be more sure in a few hours when the downloads actually had time to progress...
Pause the download by clicking on the app
Click and hold the app icon until you get the 'wobblng' effect and the little crosses come up
Click the cross and say yes to deleting the app
Re launch the app store and start over.
You can check that the app is downloading by using activity monitor (->Utilities. Select the "Network" tab in the app) to see if there's a continued spike in your "data recived". This is best seen whilst not downloading anything else so you have a 'rest' level, then begining the download. The jump in numbers and graphs will make it pretty clear.
NOTE: The app hasn't re-appeared in my purchased list on the app store. I deleted another app off that list and re-downloaded it for a comparison and that didn't come back either, but still downloaded successfully, so that's just probably just another one of the app stores delightful quirks and not nessiserily tied to the issue. But don't take my word for it =P
That's what I've done and so far so good

I purchased a book today on my iPad it won't download it shows up in purchased and I have checked all my systems are up to date.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping upward on the app window (not the smaller icon) off the screen.
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

  • Why does my downloaded TV show appear in "Purchased" and not under "TV Shows"?

I purchased a season pass to Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, Season 13 a few weeks ago.
All of my downloads up until now have been fine and working correctly.
However, when I downloaded episode 6 (Seven Deadly Sins), it only shows up under "Purchased" in Itunes.
When I search for it under "TV shows," it does not show up.
I sorted the TV show list as "Date Added" hoping it would appear at the top of the list - no such luck.
I even tagged it as the highest rated TV show episode in my collection, and nothing.
I did a search for "Seven Deadly Sins" in itunes search box while the "TV Show" list was displayed - and no results.
When I played it from the "Purchased" list, it played just fine.
I did a "Get Info" on it.
It's tagged as a TV show, with the same sorting options that the other episodes have.
I can confirm it did download - the .m4v file is listed the correct folder on my Windows 7PC.
This is very strange. Any help would be appreciated.

If you RAM is not already maxed out, suggest that you do so.  More RAM is ALWAYS better.
When was the last time you repaired permissions from your desktop?  When was the last time you ran Disk Utility directly from your install DVD?
You can clean out your  HD a little bit too.  Give it a little more room.

  • Preorder not downloading yet showing as purchased

Just wondering, my Preorder which is showing as purchased for "Get Your Heart On!: The Second Coming" is not downloading and also itunes took 3.87 out of my store credit that was spent on a vanilla mastercard. I want that money back please. I need it to buy some of the GYHO stuff I don't already have.
I'm feeling a little upset about this cause it was an itunes gift card and I got very angry when I saw I had only 21.13 in my account.
The aformentioned purchases on that card were:
Album - Wild Life - Hedley - I'm suspicious that money for this was taken from my gift card
Rock N' Roll by Avril Lavinge - money was taken for this from my itunes gift card
Here's To Never Growing Up by Avril Lavinge - money was taken for this from my itunes gift card
Let Me Go (Ft. Chad Kroeger) by Avril Lavinge - money was taken for this from my itunes gift cardf
    On the itunes gift card:
604 Records: Bundled Up - Album
Thousand Mile Christmas by Matt Webb - song
Various songs from A 604 Records Christmas
Speechless (SONG) by Halfway to Hollywood
I am on a school computer and have already emailed Apple regarding a missing preorder. Please give me this money back if money was taken from me to download Wild Life using store credit when In fact, I still have the vanilla mastercard I bought the album on and the three Avril songs. I don't r emember any other purchases.
I need this 3.87 back so I can purchase atleast SOME of GYHO2 if it turns out the money isn't there for it!
Someone help me calm down about this please. I'm 17 and my mom bought me the gift card and the vanilla mastercard at seperate times.

Same issue for me & it's really annoying!
I'll click buy & itunes will say it's downloading & once finished it disappears from the ether.  If I click buy again, it will give me the usual 'youve already purchased this item' box, and always seems to download successfully the second time!
I can see this being a real problem if I purchase a track with multiple versions & on the second time of clicking buy, I choose a different version by mistake - then getting charged twice.

  • OS X Mavericks not downloading from app store

When I try to download the free upgrade through the app store, nothing happens. OS X Mavericks shows in my purchases list and has the option to download but again, not happens. I have a Mid-2010 MacBook using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
    Any ideas?

Try here >  Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
    If that doesn't help ...
Mavericks requires 8GB's or more of storage space.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
If it's not a storage space issue ...
Disable anti virus software if installed
Make sure the firewall is turned off in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
    Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected. If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

  • The latest iTunes version 11.1.3.8, will not download or play.  I have Windows 7

I just got a Nano Gen 7.  Plugged it in to download my itunes library and my itunes program would not run.  I unplugged the Nano and tried to run the program again.  No luck.  I restarted my computer and tried to run the program.  Nothing .  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it from the website.  Nothing.
    HELP!  Any suggestions?

I experienced this exact same issue today, when I tried to download this version of iTunes on my PC.  There was an error during download.  I tried to do the download again and received a RTE message that with Program:\C: Program Files (x86)\iTuneds\iTunes.exe   Then, when that error is closed I get the iTunes error 7 -- iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.
I asked my daughter if she had issues when she downloaded the lastest iTunes version and she told me that she has not downloaded the newest version (11.1.3.8) because she was informed by a teacher and numerous students in her class that there is a problem with this latest iTunes download.
So it looks like many users ARE experiencing this same issue.  While we haven't interviewed millions, but it is a known issue to the point that tech-savvy high school students in MA are warning all their friends not to allow the latest download.  I am hoping that Apple will rectify this issue soon.  I will not be downloading this iTunes upgrade on my laptop until I hear a solution that works.

  • Running Lion trying to update to mavericks. Doesn't show up in purchases tab and just stays at downloading in the Launch pad

When I start to download Mavericks, I see the "downloading" Icon in the Launch Pad.It doesnt seem to move no matter how long I leave it. When I check the Purchases tab in the App store I either see no sign of mavericks downloading, or I see mavericks under "other purchases with nothing other then that.
To make sure it wasnt me that was the problem I downloaded two other apps and they worked fine. BUT when I tried to Install Mountain Lion it acted the same way that Maverivcks did, just stalling on downloads and not showing up in the purchases tab
Any help would be much appreciated

There does not seem to be a single solution that works for everyone in all cases.
Try each of these three potential solutions. The sequence is not important.
    1. From Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
    Open the Mac App Store.
From the Store menu, choose Sign In.
Enter your Apple ID and password.
Click Purchases to get to your Purchases Page.
Click the Resume button next to the app name.
    2. Restart your Mac.
    3. Follow this procedure to enable the App Store's Debug menu so that you can reset the App Store:
You will need to locate the Terminal app in your Mac's Utilities folder. It looks like this:
Find it by selecting Utilities from the Finder's Go menu.
    Open Terminal.
Copy (triple-click to select the entire line) and Paste the following line into the Terminal window, followed by the Return or Enter key:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
Quit the App Store and re-open it. There will be a new menu in the App Store named "Debug". From that menu first select Clear Cookies, and then Reset Application. Nothing will appear to happen.
Try to download Mavericks again. You will need to sign in again.
You can leave the Debug menu present, but if you want to get rid of it choose Enable Debug Menu, and then quit the App Store. Next time you launch the App Store the Debug menu will be gone.
