Mavericks won't download to my MacBook Pro.

It starts then disappears! Any suggestions from anyone? I was told it should work by someone at the Mac store, that I didn't have to do progressive upgrades first (ie: mountain lion). At the moment I have MAC OSX LION 10.7.5. An

  • Garage band in app purchase won't download on my macbook pro

I wish to buy the £2.99 additional content on the new garage band but as I enter my password for a second time it opens up a black page on the apps store and does not load at all. I have tried all the basics (re logging in and checking for unfinished downloads) but none of this has seemed to help. On the purchases tab there is no evience that i ever try to purchase it. Help please :')

You can download 10.9 from the App Store, providing your MBP meets the requirements.
    Mavericks requirements:

If your machine supports 10.9 Mavericks, go to the App Store and type Mavericks in the search bar and it will take to the download.

  • My Sandisk 8gb card won't download into my MacBook pro. It was working perfectly 24hrs ago. Any ideas out there?

How can this be? As I have changed nothing in my mac. It's so frustrating, can anyone suggest what to do?

I have already copied my photographs to the a library manager but when I tried to reuse iphoto and import the photos back into iphoto, it would not let me.
You can't "copy" your photos to the "library manager", there is just no way to any such thing.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Firefox 29.1 won't download to my Macbook Pro running 10.6.8.

Trying to download 29.0.1 to MBP on 10.6.8 and the progress bar says that it is trying to connect to the server. This goes on for as long as I let it (hours) so is clearly not happy.
I then cancel the download and continue with v28 and all is well.
Is the latest version of Ff not compatible with my OS?

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
    *Firefox 29.0.1: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac
Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.

How do I delete a download from my macbook pro OSX Mavericks OSX 10.9.5

If you haven't installed it, control-click the Downloads icon on the Dock, choose Show in Finder or Open Downloads, select that item, throw it away, and empty the Trash. If it's a dmg, you may need to unmount that first.
If you've drag-installed an application, remove it as above.
If you've actually run an installer, find and use an uninstaller.

  • HT201364 I am unable to redownload OS X Mavericks on a Late 2013 new Macbook Pro 13". I get a message saying "We could not complete your purchase" " OS X Mavericks can not be installed on this computer"

I am unable to redownload OS X Mavericks on a Late 2013 new Macbook Pro 13". I get a message saying "We could not complete your purchase" " OS X Mavericks can not be installed on this computer"
I nee an easy way to resolve this with Apple.

why is it this problematic to resolve?! obviously there's a valid installer image for our macs, why can we not have access to it to use on our laptops?
I do not understand, nor accept the explanation given before - about it being a newer model... it doesn't make sense... how does that translate to "no download available".
also, if it was a valid point - we would have had that download with the release of 10.9.1 - which we don't.

Both, but you need to make sure your hardware is compatible.
