I can't seem to find the max expansion card size for a treo palm 700wx. I purchased a 4gb Scan Disk which should be compatible with most ever device so expect that the hardware dosen't support up to 4gb. If anyone has futher information on this I would appriciate it.

  • Disc Card Size for Curve 8320 (AT&T)

I ordered the Curve 8320 (AT&T) which is in transit as I type and I was looking at ordering some accessories from Amazon. While checking the SanDisc Cards I noticed several different complaints about the sizes.
Some said 8 GB was too big and there were complaints about what class they came at. Some thought it was going to be class6 or 4 and it came as class 2. I'm pretty ignorant to any of these things and wouldn't have even known about it had I not read the reviews.
Also they were talking about getting the card with the adaptor. I suppose thats so the card can be put in the desk top slot?
I'd like to know in laymens terms what I should get that will make things the easiest for me to deal with.
wouldn't simply connecting the BB with the cord to my PC be the simplest...and why would I need to do anything different like some of the reviewers in Amazon speak about?
I was looking to buy this card with the adaptor. 8GB class 4 with adaptor for $20 Does that sound right? (or the one below this link? )

First things first.  You will need to check what version OS your device is running before deciding on what size card to get - unless you upgrade the OS to 4.5.0.81 or higher.  The 8320 can come with OS 4.2.2 which only supports a 4 Gb card.  Supported card size info can be found here.  Check this post for info on upgrading you device's OS.
Second, I don't know what "Class" means with an SD card - I would guess it means what speed it is.  Speed is really only a significant factor for high resolution (over 5 Megapixel) cameras.
While you can simply plug your BlackBerry into your Computer using a USB cable (at which point the SD card will appear as any other USB removeable drive), it is always pretty slow.  I would strongly recommend getting a Micro SD card with an SD adapter - and of course a card reader for your PC if you don't already have one.  Do major transfers using the SD adapter (more than a Gig of data), and use the USB cable for smaller transfers.   You'll want to keep the shuffling of the card to a minimum as it is difficult to get to on the 8320.

  • Max Micro SD size for 5800

Does anyone know what the maximum micro sd card size is for the 5800?
Also, I've just got the phone and it's great but the GPS is not good!  I don't understand why my own sat nav can work in a few seconds without the need to connect to the internet  while the 5800 seems to be reliant on it to perform!
Anyone else having problems?  Great phone though!

The 5800 will work with 16GB cards but you need to make sure the card is fast enough. A class 2 card may well cause problems for you due to the reduced sustained throughput. Look for a class 4 or 6.
You can stop the GPS from connecting to the internet by turning off A-GPS.
Menu > Settings > Phone > Application settings > Positioning > Positioning methods
    Disable "Assisted GPS".

  • Max UFS filesystems size for Solaris 2.X

What are the max limits on UFS filesystem sizes for Solaris 2.6, 8 and 9?

Solaris 9 and higher - 16 TB limit
Individual files, however, can only be about 1,012 GB.

  • Max Hard Drive size for Ultra 10s

    Hi,
I'm kinda new to sun and I have a ultra 10s with a 9 Gig factory installed HD.
I was wondering what the maximum sized IDE hard drive that can be installed. I would like to mirror the system as well. I've seen another post about this but the max size was a 27 Gig drive and didn't explain how to mirror. I have Solaris 8 1/01 meda kit does that include the required software to mirror the drives. I think it's called Raid Manager?
    Many thanks

I'm not sure what the max drive size supported on an Ultra-10, but most
new Sun products are shipping with 40 GByte EIDE drives and use the
same chipset. Caveat emptor: Solaris <7 may or may not support EIDE
larger than 8GBytes, but since you are on Solaris 8 you should be ok.
For SCSI drives (requires a PCI SCSI HBA for the Ultra-10) the size can
be quite large. The most common large size SCSI drives today is 180
GBytes, but SCSI is designed to scale much larger.
You don't want RAIDManager for mirroring. Look for Solstice DiskSuite (SDS)
in your media distribution. If I'm not mistaken, it is cleverly hidden in
the "EA" directory on CD 2of2 in the media kit. Also, look for docs on
mirroring root using SDS on http://docs.sun.com

  • Max GPT partition size for Windows 2008R2

Is the max partition size 256tb -64K? for 64k stripe size?? What is the max?

    Hi Jared,
From Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows XP x64 edition, and later versions, the maximum raw partition of
18 exabytes can be supported. (Windows file systems currently are limited to 256 terabytes each.)
GPT disks support partitions of up to 18 exabytes (EBs) in size and up to 128 partitions per disk.

  • Max. hard drive size for Pavilion a800n

    Hi,
One last question, I'm replacing the hard drive (160G) in my old Pavilion a800n and am wondering what the max size would be (would like at least 500G). Guess I could partition if needed...

    Hi,
Sorry, based on the following specs, I would not upgrade the HDD. If you need more space for data/files, buy an external HDD.

  • Max Hard Drive Size for Airport Extreme 4th Generation (A1354)?

    I've got a 4th gen Airport Extreme (A1354) (MC340LL/A).
Currently I'm using a 2TB Western Digital USB2 hard drive connected externally.
I'd like to add a larger capacity hard drive so that I can back up more computers. What's the maximum HD size and configuration I can add to this Airport?
    Thanks!
    Seth

For now, the nearest available information may not be fully suggestive of
the possible largest or unofficially supported external HDD it may use...
Since a similar-spec Time Capsule has the option for either a 2TB or 3TB
internal HDD as part of that configuration, the safe bet suggests 3TB.
There may be an issue with larger drives and multiple computers using
one large drive, since I'd seen some mention of a few user problems when
two or more Macs were sharing Time Machine storage on one larger HDD.
And someone may know of the information about a software utility that may
be able to help keep track of the files or organize them, in such a situation.
In passing, some weeks ago, I'd read about such a utility to help alleviate an
issue that may result from two or more Macs with Time Machine files on the
same backup hard disk drive. But did not keep the link nor retain those details.
If you did get a larger external hard disk drive of sufficient spin rate RPM
and cache size, then it may be a simple matter to format it with partitions
so extra space may be in reserve or any capacity unable to work with
the total configuration could be used for general storage, apart from TM.
Hopefully there is a good drive available for that application.
I'd inquire of OWC as they have some examples of hardware.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Max SD card size supported by MEGA PLAYER 522BT?

Hi. I'm thinking of getting a new SD card for my player. I remember when I bought it, the seller was joking about lumping a 1Gb SD card into it. Will the player support this card? How to tell on the spot when I am to try it before I buy the card? I have a 256Mb SD card which works fine.
    Thanks for replies in advance.

This is not the problem, I have the correct permissions, things just don't work.
I think my 2GB card might work fine now just as long as the 4G card has not been plugged in. which is not a great situation.

  • Max Hard drive size for Powerbook 1.5

I need to increase the internal hard drive on my '15 Powerbook 1.5Ghz. What is the max size that the Powerbook can handle? I would like to get one that's at least 160g.

The maximum drive size that your PB can handle is far larger than any currently available drive. The largest drive available (or likely to become available) is this 320GB Western Digital drive:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136345
It's also available from other vendors, of course; to find other vendors selling it, just Google its Western Digital model number.

  • Max. Harddisk Size for MacPro 2006

    Hello to everybody
I got a real good offer for a used macpro xeon two Xeon 5150 "Woodcrest" Dual-Core processors 2,66 2006. right now i work with the late G5 Dual 2,3. For a software reason (Adobe Photoshop CS5) i need to buy a Intel Mac. i read in everymac.com Apple Mac Pro "Quad Core" 2.66 (Original) Specs. Apple formally supports up to 2 TB of storage with four 500 GB hard drives (one in each internal bay).
This is a problem for me becorse i need as a photographer much HDD space i use a Nikon D700. I use to HDD in my G5 one with 1.5 TB and one with 700GB. I like to use both of them in the (new) MacPro plus 2 new HDD in the other 2 HDD Holders minimum with 1,5 TB.
Did anybody know if the large HDD's work in the MacPro 2,66 ?
Thank you in advance for your Help!
Happy New Year and kind Regards
    Julius

There is no limit. Intel and EFI uses GUID partitions, and there is no size limit.
Problem is those articles do get written, are based solely on what was available at the time, are never ever updated like other Apple tech articles, Docs and Dev Notes. Such as this:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2609
    Memory and performance:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Mac-Pro-Memory#667-memory
One place that does have a major impact: SSDs for system, and more SSDs for scratch. In fact, there just aren't enough SATA ports, ever, to do an ideal setup - but - there are 6 x SATA ports: 4 sleds and 2 extra SATA (lower optical bay area, or run to external). Great for pair of SSDs for booting.
You can load up to 32GB RAM also, another think 'left out' in some articles. And install an ATI 5770 (but sadly not the nVidia GTX 285 or Quadro 4000 which both take advantage of CUDA and Mercury engine in CS5.
I would really look at the price of the machine, its value as far as work, and only if you just can't jump on newer 2008 or later. It is possible to upgrade to 8-core with X5355/5365 off ebay but that only makes sense ($800 ballpark) for people who have had theirs for years and want to get another year or two out of their Mac Pro.
Memory bandwidth has also come a long ways since '06 and 3-5x faster.
GPT supports in excess of the largest drive available, 3TB.
And drives have not usually needed more, rather less, in terms of power and heat, so it isn't that a 2TB drive with more platters uses power power either.
That said, there are (always) some people that had trouble. And there are always new models, new firmware, with of course, new bugs.
And there are people with 4-5-6 x 2TB drives for 8-12TB of internal storage.
That said, I hope it was a very very inexpensive good value. Else, I'd have said get the 2009/2010 4-core for $1995.
You'll always be able to add - and hope you do - PCIe SATA controller (RAID6 even) and be able to attach or hang up to 20 drives even.
Your G5 drives - off load the files to another drive and reformat.
Don't leave drives in the older Apple Partition format, initialize as GUID.
You will be fine, and WD Black is very popular in 1 and 2TB.

  • What is the Max import file size for Aperture

I'll some times shoot film and get very large scans done as Tiffs or Jpegs. 500MB+ What is the Max that Aperture can manage, or is it only determined by the Mac configuration?

I'm curious to know this as well before upgrading. Hopefully it has been improved in Aperture 3. I know Aperture 2 only supported up to 250MB which was near useless if you'd ever made any significant adjustments and edits in Ps and saved it as a .psd.
All my medium format (digital and film scans) and large format scans give me the maroon "Unsupported Image Format" error while trying to view in Aperture 2.
