Max Number of Apps Displayed???

I apologize if this has already been asked. I have a 32 gig iPod touch. I have been told that it only displays 9 pages of apps plus the 4 in the dock box. I easily have more than 148 apps. I know I can use the Search Spotlight feature to find the rest of the apps, but what if I'm out and forget the exact name of the app or something? Does anyone know if there is any way (without using iTunes, I'm talking about if I'm out and about) to view ALL the apps on my iPod? Thank you!

Sounds like you still have OS 2. OS 3 added the extra two pages for apps.
If you have a first generation iPod Touch, you can get 3.1.3 here: Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod Touch (1st Generation), http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2052
Other iPod Touch models should be upgraded to OS 4. You need OS 4 to use folders. Get it here: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ios4-software-update.html

  • How to change the max number of member display in Target Group

    Dear Experts,
We are using 2007 CRM Marketing.

    Appricate you help.
    Thanks,
    Shabbir Hussain

    Hi,
you can set the number of members that will be displayed in target group.
Go to any profile group -> open the graphical modelling -> open settings.
Here you can ajust the displayed number of members in a targetgroup.
These settings are user-dependent and saved in table CRMD_MKTTG_PERS.

  • Max Number of apps allowed on the phone

I heard some where that the max number of pages is 9. So, if you download a bunch of free apps and some paid apps, where does the apps go after 9 pages? I wish the next update from apple includes a filing tool. It would be nice to put apps in a folder in a similar catagory in the app store. For examples, all games in the game folder.

It will slow down the backups when you sync. Having lots of apps will not slow down the iPhone, since only one app can run at a time, and the size of the apps are tiny - most are less than 1 MB (i.e. you would be hard-pressed to come anywhere close to filling your iPhone with apps).

  • User Settings for BEX Analyzer - Max number of values displayed

    Hi Experts,
we are trying to change the Maximum number of values that get displayed from 1000 by default to some other number.
the setting windows that I refer to above can be reach by this path.
When you open up a Query in Analyzer, you are prompted to Variable Entry screen, if you click on the select on the list box next to a field (double squre boxes) then on the next pop windown that opens on the top right there is settings button (guy's face and box) this should bring you to User setting window, here go to Value Restrictions tab, you will see 1000 selected under No. of Displayed values....we want this number to be different by default for ALL Users.
What is the t-code or path to change this number in BW.

    Hi,
its standard to have 1000 rows in sap BW 7.0. We can't change the default standard setting.
    Thanks,

  • OS2 - Max number of Apps in the Doc

It has been highlighted that we can drop as many apps in the Doc as we want.....However, if try to add more than 6 apps....it is not allowing me to add more apps...
Any idea what needs to be done?

Although it is not a big deal, having the dock scroll like the literature says would be a nice feature. I am hoping this is something RIM is still working on. That way, a quick swipe would allowed access to most of the icons I actually use.

  • Max number of pages in a spool

    Hi Gurus,
I have a background job which takes an input file from app server.Input file has 50000 records.I need to process them inside the program and display the result in spool. Now,my question is ,will I be able to see all the records.is there any upper limit for no.of pages that gets generated in the spool.

Usally no limit for max number of pages ( There may be a system setting for it). But when you scroll down, it does not display all the data. You can either click on the button Settings and choose last 10 pages or click on last page button and that will display till the end.

  • Is there a max number of names that can be put into Contacts

is there a max number of names that can be put into Contacts and still have the app work well?

Yes, there is. It's how many contacts your hard drive can take. So you can fill up the entire computer with nothing but contacts until your HDD/Flash has no space left. So if you have 250GB, it'd be less than if you had 500GB and you'd have more on 750GB.

  • Is there a limit to the number of App pages like the iPhone?

On the iPhone there is a limit to 11 pages of apps showing. (I know, I know... that's a lot). If you have more than that number of apps on the phone they won't display, you have to use searchlight to find them.
Is that the same with the iPad? Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of pages of apps?
    Thanks

The same limit applies to the iPad. The upcoming 4.0 version of the OS will address this issue by allowing you to put apps in folders:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/preview-iphone-os/
BTW, it's "Spotlight", not "searchlight". Just in case you want to do a search on that subject.

  • Max number of Hits Account Identification

    Hi all,
we are currently having the problem in IC that when somebody try to identify an account of an BP with more that 100 related sold to parties, that no account is displayed because of the standard max number of hits 100.
I have found the path to customize this in the SPRO but this sentence in the SAP help is making me some headache:
The higher the number you enter here, the more results the system will search for, and in turn, the more performance is affected. The maximum number of hits that the system allows is 100, which is also the default value.
I understand the point of the performance, but does this mean that the performance is also affected the account identification of the other BP with less than 100 related sold to parties?
Can anybody help in this issue?
We are working on CRM 5.0.
    Regards
    Abosi

    Hello
The bug of nothing displayed if over 100 accounts are found is solved with [SAP note 1467929|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1467929.]
The code you are referring to is:
    IF bpident_profile-max_hits IS INITIAL.
    max_hits = 100.
    ELSE.
    max_hits = bpident_profile-max_hits.
    ENDIF.
It means that, if blank, 100 hits is considered. You can modify the customizing up to 255 results since that is the limit of accounts to be found.

    Joaquin

  • "max number of thread"

We are running a java web app on a Ubuntu Oracle WebLogic server version 10.3.3.
The java web app performs long polls with open tcp socket to keep the client connection open. The clients are long polling the WebLogic at 30 seconds.
Currently we are not able to maintain stability for greater than 24 hours with approximately 200 simultaneous sessions on WebLogic server. Session to me is active client/server tcp connection. We have re-written our application to use continuations, but we are seeing ConcurrentModificationException errors in performance testing.
Is there any setting in WebLogic for “max number of thread” that can handle?
    Edited by: user9316392 on Jul 8, 2010 11:07 AM

First, WebLogic since 9.0 has a self-tuning thread pool where WLS will automatically grow and shrink the number of threads based on some internal algorithms. I'm not aware of a hard limit so theoretically there is no max thread count as long as the JVM has memory and WLS thinks more threads will help. You can read up on it here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/dev2arch/2006/01/workload-management.html
Practically, I wouldn't expect more than several hundred threads to be helpful.
As for your situation, how does WLS become unstable? Out of memory, out of file descriptors, errors on new requests, etc. I think you're going to have to use some JVM tools to see what happens to your JVM over time. Is there a memory leak somewhere, is it non-heap memory, etc. JRockit Mission Control is helpful if running on JRockit. If you're on Sun Hotspot, them presumably you can use some of the Hotspot tools. You'll want to compare the state of the JVM towards the beginning of your load test, but after a slight warm-up period with a snapshot after the load test has been running for a long period of time.

  • Max number of columns in a Webi report

In a worst-case scenario test, I requested about 1700 columns in a Webi report, but only a little more than 300 appeared in the SQL; a TOAD request for the same 1700 columns was successful. Is there an upper limit for the number of objects that can appear in a Webi report? Is there a parameter that could increase the limit?

My eyes read the first half and my brian assumed the second half.
I dont think there is a limitaion on the number of objects that a WebI report can pull.
The only limitation I know of is the maximum number of column that you can display in the report panel; the max number is 100,000.
With the limit on the max number of column diplay in a WebI report can be translated into the max number of columns in the query panel.
This setting is in CMC> Applications>Web Intelligence-->Quick Display mode

  • Max number of file descriptors in 32 vs 64 bit compilation

    Hi,
I compiled a simple C app (with Solaris CC compiler) that attempts to open 10000 file descriptors using fopen(). It runs just fine when compile in 64-bit mode (with previously setting ulimit S -n 10000).
However, when I compile it in 32-bit mode it fails to open more than 253 files. Call to system(ulimit a) suggests that nofiles (descriptors) 10000.
Did anybody ever see similar problem before?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mikhail

On 32-bit Solaris, the stdio "FILE" struct stores the file descriptor (an integer) in an 8-bit field. WIth 3 files opened automatically at program start (stdin, stdout, stderr), that leaves 253 available file descriptors.
This limitation stems from early versions of Unix and Solaris, and must be maintained to allow old binaries to continue to work. That is, the layout of the FILE struct is wired into old programs, and thus cannot be changed.
When 64-bit Solaris was introduced, there was no compatibility issue, since there were no old 64-bit binaries . The limit of 256 file descriptors in stdio was removed by making the field larger. In addition, the layout of the FILE struct is hidden from user programs, so that future changes are possible, should become necessary.
To work around the limit, you can play some games with dup() and closing the original descriptor to make it available for use with a new file, or you can arrange to have fewer than the max number of files open at one time.
A new interface for stdio is being implemented to allow a large number of files to be open at one time. I don't know when it will be available or for which versions of Solaris.

  • SE16 restricted to a pre-defined max number of hits

    Hello,
our consultants use sometime Tcode SE16 for end-users support purposes.
I would like to restrict the output of SE16 on any tables to a predefined maximum number of hits (5000 or 10000 for examples) to avoid huge selections with bad performance on the server.
Do you know any way to restrict it with a standard or custom tool ?
    Thank's

    Hello Vincent
The global setting of this property can be found at: menu Help -> Settings -> choose tabstrip "F4 Help"
There you can define the max. number of hits to be displayed. This setting is valid for all DB selections. The users have to set this property on their own.
NOTE: The menu Help is found on any screen.
    Regards
      Uwe

  • DataSource max number of open connections

We are using Oracle 9i AS.
We are using the pre installed emulated data source.
We have specified 30 and 100 as the min and max number of open connections.
We are using BC4J application modules in my application . For each application module we have specified the JDBC data source, so the default connection pooling at the Application Module level is disabled, via doConnectonPooling = true.
    The question :
    1. When i go into the OC4J Home screen and monitor the Open JDBC connections, why is the number more than the max that i have specified ? My data source is being used , because my app is up and running.
    thx.

Chints -- There were a few cases that where max connections was not honored prior to the Oracle9ias v903 release. These issues should be fixed in the Oracle9iAS v903 production release.
Thanks -- Jeff Would there be any difference if we were to use a non Emulated data source..we are using Oracle 9i on the back end
    thx!!
