Max number of connections

What is the Maximum number of wireless connections to a WRT160Nv2 router?  I currently have 4 wireless devices and one wired.  I am trying to add another camera.  If it is maxed out, what router would you recommend for 10 devices?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Rita

The router is capable of handling more wired or wireless devices, but the more device you connect to your router the more chances of getting the computers same ip address.    So if you have more computers in your network its better to assign a Static IP to your computers.
To make your camera work smoothly its better to assign a Static IP to it, so that it does not get conflict in the network.

    Hi PI/XI Experts,
I have a WS to Proxy Syncronous scenario. I need to know how many client could consume the web service at the same time? Are there any limitation? If so what is the max. number? and where it can be changed?
There is another question that how many of the WS clients message could be processed via ABAP Proxy? It is important to transport the all the messages to ABAP Proxy at the same time as much as possible.

    Hi Raj,
Where you get this knowledge? When i do search before this message i only found about RFC adapter max connection limitations. Every server/adapter should have a maximum capacity. Maybe it is high number for WS and XI adapters but i need to know what it is. If you how can i find it please share the information.

  • LDAP "ServerListener" stops responding (Max number of connections reached)

    Hi --
The last four work days, in the evening, our OAS 10G server stopped processing portal logon requests. The response to login requests was this message:
    Internal error WWC-00006 Unexpected error
    encountered in wwsec_app_priv.process)signon
    (User-Defined Exception) (WWC-41417)
An exception was raised when accessing the
Oracle Internet Directory 81: Can't contact
    LDAP server. Details:
Operation dbms_ldap.simple_bind_s (The message also included other details such as the host, port and DN, and a reference to error message WWC-41743.)
Suspecting an LDAP problem, we looked on the server, and in ORACLE_HOME/LDAP/LOG I found recent log files (oidldapd[instance]s[pid].log) with several megs of messages that look like this:
    2005/06/17:17:59:33 * ServerListener :2 * ERROR :
ServerListener : Max numbers of connections reached.
Num Conns = 874, Max Conns = 874, Closing the
connection. These messages repeated, several times per minute, overnight and the next day until I restarted the server. The same thing happened again the next night.
A metalink search pointed to docid "293391.1" which, in part, suggests that the problem may be caused by improper programming, and that the solution may be to, "investigate the applications that connect to OID and where possible modify them to perform an explicit disconnect."
Does anyone have any reference to how an application can perform an explicit disconnect from the OID? We do have a relatively new application which follows the "Java API for Oracle Internet Directory" -- documention found here: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/network.920/a96577/oid_java.htm -- but in that document we cannot find any reference for how to "perform an explicit disconnect".
The application already calls the "context.close()" method, which according to the documentation closes the connection to the OID, but we cannot find any other "explicit disconnect". And, since the problem happens even though our app is already calling the context.close(), there must be something else.
Opened this up as a Metalink question related to Portal, but they said it's not their problem, and we should ask over here.
    Any thoughts?

Looks like that's helped. While the errors persist, OID isn't dieing.
For anyone with similar problems, it looks like docid 437493.1 is useful. Upgrade clients to at least 10.2.0.3 to defeat a sqlnet problem.
Just tried it with the 10.2.0.5 patchset and it seems to be working and not generating the 104 error on the OID server.

  • Max Number of Connections for PeerFinder

    Hi,
There is an inconsistent number for how many connections an app using peerfinder can maintain simultaneously.  So, how many connections can the peerfinder app maintain simultaneously, also how many connections can you maintain using stream socket by
itself.  Also, is there any special rules i must adhere to when trying to use mutiple connections.
    Thanks,
    ECE_Studio Man

    Hi,
At windows 8.1 it is possible for a single app to connect to multiple clients (running the same app) using Wi-Fi Direct. There is  no limitation on how many Wi-Fi Direct connections can be supported by PeerFinder . You can open socket connections
from one app to a peer app on multiple computers by tapping each computer. So ,you can use PeerFinder to create and browse peer computers that are running the same app within wireless range.
At windows 8.0 it is only possible to connect to one client using Wi-Fi Direct.  The only exception is that is if your devices have a NFC sensor this additional connections can be created with "tap and connect".

  • If an airport Extreme is combined with one or more airport expresses, what is the max number of connections? Is it just 50, or 50 plus 10 for each Express?

I would like to set up a wireless network with an Airport Extreme, plus one or more Airport Expresses to extend the range. I know an Extreme supports 50 users and an Express 10 users, but when they're combined does the number of users go up according to the number of Expresses combined with the Extreme, or is it limited at 50 no-matter how many Expresses are added?
    Thanks
    Steve

50 users + 10 users + 10 users + etc. I am assuming that each Express device will be connected using a wired Ethernet connection.
But, unless you have a truly fantastic Internet connection with your ISP, things are going to be mighty slow on the network since all users split up the available bandwidth.
So, if you have a 50 Mbps Internet connection, 50 users will have approximately 1 Mbps of bandwidth to work with. Few of us would consider having a 1 Mbps service in our home, even if we only had one computer....way too slow.

  • Average number of connections

    Hi all,
Does anyone know the average and max number of connections a fairly popular service, like a buisness site, a widely used site, a web service container (forum, poll), and a local service, i.e. blog site, (not a web service, like servlets, but a server service like Jigsaw, or Apache) gets at any one time?
    Or just a range, like 50-100, 100-200, 1000-1500, ...

I have read that in apache conf files that maximum value that you can give for maximun simultanious threads is 256 which means an apache instance cant handle morethan 256 requests/hits at a time.
    But remember
(One hit per second is equivalent to about 20 users actively browsing, at the rate of a page per minute where a page requires about 3 accesses. If an average user browses for an hour a day, one hit per second thus translates into 100-150 users.)
above part I took from the documentation of Xitami webserver

  • Maximum number of connection supported by weblogic

    Hello,
In our current applicatin we are using weblogic 7.0 as the app server and Oracle 9i as the db server.
The problem is the system is running out of connection frmo the connection pool very frequently, it is because of increase in the number of users,So far we have the maximum number of connectin capacity in the weblogic connection pool is 159default value). We thought of increasing the connection as an immediate solution.
Would like to know what is the maximum value that can be set as max connection attirubute.Does weblogic gives any restriction about max number of connection in the pool or the db server decides?
Can any you please provide maximum what value we can set for both weblogic as well as oracle.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Max. Number of connections in use Nokia N93

    Hi
I am trying to connect to wireless router using WEP. I have configured the access point and when I try to connect with Opera Mobile 3.6 an error occurs:
Max. Number of connections in use. Close na active connection first.
Note that my phone is not woring in dual mobe but GSM only.
When I try connecting with the Phone's browser:
WLAN: Unable to connect. WLAN Network not found
    Lumia 920 OS version: 8.0.10521.155
    FW revision number: 3047.0000.1326.2002

Every time you up-date the firmware, you get from your network opperator the settings for various access points (Internet, MMS, Vodafone Live, whatever....) This leads to duplicates (or even mode) access-points. Moreover, some of these access points are saved as "default" access point in various applications. This is where the mess starts.
To clean-up the mess, you first have to REMOVE all duplicate access points and keep only one access point for each purpose: Internet connection, MMS, Live (if you are are on Vodafone), etc. After this, you will probably get messages from various applications to define a new default access point. And things will be sorted our automatically.
Hope this helps, even though it might not be simple for some.

  • Max number of simultaneous connections?

    Hi everyone!
how is possible to determine in advance the max number of simultaneous connection for my FMS?
    thanks!

    Hi,
Like Jay had mentioned the limitation on the number of connection to server depends on the capability of your server.
You can get the maximum number of connections made to the server, number of active clients... etc details through Administration APIs.
'getServerStats' gives you the "total_connects", which is the maximum number of connections made to the server. "connected" property will return the number of active clients to your server at one point. It also has many more statistics for your reference. This api returns the overall information of the server. If you want to get the details for specific vhost, you can use getVHostStats or getActiveVHostStats. To get more details on Administration API, refer your pdf documentation on "Administration API", that gets installed in your system under "$Root\Flash Media Server\documentation\flashmediaserver_3.5_administrationAPI.pdf".

  • Real-time 8.6 Remote panel connection exceeds max number of licenses- with no connections

I've been using the remote panel right along with no problems to connect to my Compact Fieldpoint.  This morning I accidently opened the connection twice on the same computer and tripped the "Remote panel connection exceeds max number of licenses" error.  Now it will not let me connect anymore from my computer.  I've tried clearing cookies, cache and history in Internet Explorer and rebooting my computer.  I've fired up the Remote Panel Connection Manager which shows no connections, and the NI License Information window does not show any connections which have been denied due to max # of clients being exceeded.  Is there a way to reset this without having to reboot my RT controller?  I'm running RT8.6 and LV 8.6 Full Dev System and understanding that it should come with 1 remote panel license.
    Thanks

The boss wanted to see an updated feature, so I was forced to deploy a new version and reboot.  Problem went away as I suspected it would.
I did manage to make the same mistake again this morning (launch the remote panel in 2 different MSIE windows) and after closing them both I could reconnect.  Must be a glitch or a bug?  It'd be interesting to see if anyone else has this problem.  For now...solved, but it would be nice to see a way to fix this without rebooting.

  • DataSource max number of open connections

We are using Oracle 9i AS.
We are using the pre installed emulated data source.
We have specified 30 and 100 as the min and max number of open connections.
We are using BC4J application modules in my application . For each application module we have specified the JDBC data source, so the default connection pooling at the Application Module level is disabled, via doConnectonPooling = true.
    The question :
    1. When i go into the OC4J Home screen and monitor the Open JDBC connections, why is the number more than the max that i have specified ? My data source is being used , because my app is up and running.
    thx.

Chints -- There were a few cases that where max connections was not honored prior to the Oracle9ias v903 release. These issues should be fixed in the Oracle9iAS v903 production release.
Thanks -- Jeff Would there be any difference if we were to use a non Emulated data source..we are using Oracle 9i on the back end
    thx!!

  • Max number of TCP connections to one IP?

Is there any limit, imposed by the TCP protocol, to the number of active connections to one IP address on one interface?
I'm asking this because it's easy to add more servers behind a load balancer, but I wonder if the TCP protocol limits in some fundamental way the number of connections to the load balancer itself.
Let's say there's an ACE 4710 load balancer in front of a bunch of Web servers. The balancer exposes one IP address to the clients on the public network. The connections are forwarded to the Web servers on the private network. The balancer is also doing NAT: the servers see the connections originating on a private IP on the load balancer.
On the client side, each connection is uniquely identified by the quartet (source IP, source port, dest IP, dest port). So as long as each client only creates one connection, I think the limit here is just the amount of RAM on the load balancer.
On the server side, same thing, each connection is identified by the same quartet, so I guess the theoretical limit here is 64k connections per server, due to the limit imposed by the source port numbers on the load balancer.
OTOH, if the load balancer is not doing NAT (the servers see the connections originating on the public IPs of the clients), then there should be no limit imposed by the TCP protocol.
    Is that right? Comments?

    you got it right.
    Gilles.

  • How to restrict max number of client connection per extend server?

Does anybody point me or tell me what is the vm property or config element I need to put so that an extend client will not accept more than specified number of connections at any give point in time.

    Hello,
Look at http://coherence.oracle.com/display/COH34UG/acceptor-config the <connection-limit> should do what you want.

  • "max number of thread"

We are running a java web app on a Ubuntu Oracle WebLogic server version 10.3.3.
The java web app performs long polls with open tcp socket to keep the client connection open. The clients are long polling the WebLogic at 30 seconds.
Currently we are not able to maintain stability for greater than 24 hours with approximately 200 simultaneous sessions on WebLogic server. Session to me is active client/server tcp connection. We have re-written our application to use continuations, but we are seeing ConcurrentModificationException errors in performance testing.
Is there any setting in WebLogic for “max number of thread” that can handle?
    Edited by: user9316392 on Jul 8, 2010 11:07 AM

First, WebLogic since 9.0 has a self-tuning thread pool where WLS will automatically grow and shrink the number of threads based on some internal algorithms. I'm not aware of a hard limit so theoretically there is no max thread count as long as the JVM has memory and WLS thinks more threads will help. You can read up on it here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/dev2arch/2006/01/workload-management.html
Practically, I wouldn't expect more than several hundred threads to be helpful.
As for your situation, how does WLS become unstable? Out of memory, out of file descriptors, errors on new requests, etc. I think you're going to have to use some JVM tools to see what happens to your JVM over time. Is there a memory leak somewhere, is it non-heap memory, etc. JRockit Mission Control is helpful if running on JRockit. If you're on Sun Hotspot, them presumably you can use some of the Hotspot tools. You'll want to compare the state of the JVM towards the beginning of your load test, but after a slight warm-up period with a snapshot after the load test has been running for a long period of time.

  • Number of connection allowed in the free developer ediiton of Flash Media Server

    Hi
I would like to know the number of connection allowed in the free developer ediiton of Flash Media Server
    Regards
    Sunny

    Hi,
When we say we limit the number of connections to 10 in Flash Media Development Server, we mean that we allow 10 successful connections and reject 11th connection onwards. So at anypoint of time your server can have only 10 active connections. When there are 10 active connections and a 11th client tries to connect to the server, the connection is rejected with reason "NetConnection.Connect.Rejected - [ License.Limit.Exceeded ] : (_defaultRoot_, _defaultVHost_) : Max connections allowed exceeds license limit. " and these details are logged at the server side core.log too
