Max size of spreadsheet Numbers can handle?

I have a 46.9MB Excel spreadsheet. I have Excel 2004 for the Mac but this spreadsheet takes about 4 to 5 times longer to recalc on my Mac Mini at home than my IBM Thinkpad at work.
I thought I would try Numbers for 30 days to see if it would recalc faster. But Numbers says the spreadsheet is too large for it to open. I have several other spreadsheets that are even larger.
If these are too large, then there's no point in buying the program. I had hoped it would handle them, because NeoSource is extremely slow to open the spreadsheet (it keeps wanting to adjust the row height before it will open, which takes forever).

The question was in the subject line: Is there a maximum size spreadsheet that Numbers can handle? I would hope that it's bigger than 46.9MB (the spreadsheet that I'm working with). I tried NeoOffice but it takes forever to open the spreadsheet because it's always trying to adjust the row height - I've waited several minutes for NeoOffice to try and open before finally giving up.
So I thought I would try Numbers instead, but it can't open a 46.9MB spreadsheet (I get error-worksheet is too large). I have 2GB of RAM and nothing else open at the time. I thought I would ask if others more experienced with the program what the maximum size spreadsheet they have worked with in Numbers is? Does anyone know what the largest spreadsheet you can work with is? Usually the limiting factor is your RAM not the program. With 2GB of RAM a 46.9MB spreadsheet should not be a problem. If Numbers can't open a 46.9MB spreadsheet, it would be limited to only small jobs.

  • What is the max size of HDD I can use in my dc7600 CMT

I am using an HP dc7600 CMT which is working fine after upgrading to a Samsung 128GB SSD, Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I am running Win 8.1 Pro x64, with the most recent upgrade, and have absolutely no problems. I now want to add a second internal HDD, and wonder what is the max size  I can go to. Can I go to 2TB, or am I limited to a lower figure? 1TB? 500GB? 250GB?
Will be glad for some help here, especially if it has been actually tried in practice.
    Thanks in advance.

    You're very welcome.
Yes, they are very nice machines.
What a jump in performance when I swapped out the Pentium 4 620 mine had, for the PD 945, and tossed in 4 GB of memory.
That box will also run the Radeon HD 6570 with no problem too, which is what I put in mine.
The downside of that model is that there are no settings for ahci or raid.
I own or have owned every CMT since the d510 with the exception of the dc7900.
My main PC is now the 8200 Elite CMT which I installed W8.1 on.
It has an i7-2600 processor and 32 GB of memory, 1 TB SATA III hard drive.
I threw in a Radeon HD 6670 in that one.

  • Wat is the maximu size of data XI can handle

    HI,
I would like to know wat file size XI system can handle at one time. What size of data can XI handle.
Please reply me as soon as possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    Chirag

    Gohil,
This all depends upon your hardware and sizing the XI box. Also it depends on how complex your mapping and whether you are using any BPM inside the scenario or not. I have come across where XI is used just to move the file of 1GB also.
If your file adapter or XI is going down with this file then I would suggest to read chunks of data into XI and process further.

  • Is there a maximum PDF size for ios? can handle 2GB?

I'm creating a very huge pdf file, aprox 2GB
can it be viewer in an ipad or iphone?.
Can it be viewer from an Android tablet?
    TnkU

It sounds very doubtful because mobile devices are usually restricted in memory. And it will depend on each particular device. There is Adobe Reader software for both iOS and Android. Download the free software on each device and try it.
I'd divide your PDF into smaller files.

  • What is the biggest DB size SQLserver can handle ?

    Experts:
We are going to start SAP projects for terabyte DBs.
What is the maximum DB size SQLserver(2005, 2008) can handle without serious performance issue?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
we run multiple SAP systems  beyond 1 TB (biggest around 12 TB) without any performance issues. Performance is not directly related to the size of the DB but on how you distribute the data (I/O capacity). Important factors are number of data files, type of storage (SAN, NAS,...), number of spindels, number of users, proper indexing and so on. Also, your DB server hardware should be able to process the data delivered by the storage system (CPU + RAM).
The size of the DB ist not the important performance factor but the underlying hardware.

  • Max size CPU for 6156bx ?

    Hi all,
I'm still playing about with the "old trusty" ms6156bx MoBo. The P3 650 cpu was working fine untill we had a lightning strike fairly close to home - fried the CPU. So had to resort back to the P2 400  ;( (MoBo & all else still working fine)
Question is, Does anyone know what the max size CPU this board can take ? I have the chance of getting hold of a P3  1 ghz 100 fsb cpu ,But not sure if Mobo could take it. Maybe an 800 would be better (if I can find one)
    Any advice ???

Hi, to get a Tualatin to work on that mobo you need a FCPGA2 to Slot 1 converter, it is not very usual, perhaps you don´t have this slocket, one that it´s known is the Powerleap PL-IP3 or something like that, it supports Tualatin processors. Check if your converter supports Tualatin processors first, so you don´t burn a processor again!!!

  • Why can't Max Size of Post Data be increased?

We need to do a CFFILE upload of 1 – 3 GB videos and are having troubles.
(I know this is crazy, but FTP, network mapped drives, etc. aren’t going to leave an audit trail like an HTML form will for when people have to upload/update/delete bus incident videos.)
I can't increase the Max size of post data to even 2048MB without people getting "500" errors who are trying to upload small gifs or pdfs.  If I move it above 2047MB, no one can upload anything.
    Our setup:
CF Enterprise 8.0.1 with Hot Fix 2
2 - Win Servers 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 using replication, load balancing, and MS virtual machine.
CF is clustered so the Java class paths begin with
    C:/JRun4/servers/HSWSD0C1O/cfusion.ear/cfusion.war/WEB-INF/...
    CF Admin settings:
Max size of post data = 2047MB
    Request throttle threshold = 4MB
    Request Throttle Memory = 3072MB
    Setting of 10 simultaneous requests.
Restarted CF services after Hotfix 2 install.
On the Application.cfm page I put
      applicationtimeout="#CreateTimeSpan(0,4,0,0)#"
    Basic code for uploading:
<!--- upload file and get results --->
       <cffile action="upload"
          filefield="file"
          destination="#fileDirectory#"
          nameconflict="error"
          result="uploadResult">
This code works for small files IF I don't raise the max size of post data above 2047MB, which means we'll never get those videos up.
I've been fighting with this for weeks.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!

First thought is that Web Servers can impose their own upload throttles.  You should check the documentation of your web server as well.
    Secondly
I know this is crazy, but FTP, network mapped drives, etc. aren’t going
to leave an audit trail like an HTML form will for when people have to
    upload/update/delete bus incident videos
What wouldn't FTP leave an audit trail?  FTP communication can leave just as much, if not more, of an audit trail as HTTP communications.
Network mapped drives, I'm not so sure about, but I imagine there are ways to audit these as well.  But then if you can use network mapped drives, you must be working with a well defined set of users all of which belong to a well defined network domain.
P.S.  Also make sure that the max post size limits fit inside the overall limits of jvm memory.  Trying to upload a file larger then the memory it can fit in sounds like a likely source of problems.

  • What is the MAX. limit of a Message which PI can Handle?

    Hi Experts,
We have one requirment where in we need to send a large data which contains some Memo Fields as well as Photo & PDF document thru PI Web-service scenario. we would like to know is there any Message Size Limit at PI side. is there any setting. i this moment i do not know what will be the size of the message will get form. pl. note that this will be B2B scenario.
secondly for a given message how can i check the size of the message. we are on PI 7.31 JAVA Only SP9 Patch 11.

    Hi Umesh,
as for as i know SAP PO system can handle the file till GB also but this will be based upon your system resources and configuration as well.

  • What is the maximum size a sender SOAP adapter can handle?

    Hi,
I am using sender SOAP adapter and receiver RFC adapter.
What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
when the request message/file is of such size?
    regards
    Arun G

    hi,
    >What is the maximum size of request message it can handle efficiently.
it totally depends on your hardware and flow design inside XI/PI
    >In the current scenario which I need to design , the request XML file could be up to 24 MB.
this size is not a lot for a "normal" XI machine but it also depends on the
volume of those messages - that is if you need to send
one message like that per day or 1000 per half an hour...
    >Also if you could comment on which would be the best to use as the sender side - SOAP or File Adapter
when the request message/file is of such size?
SAP's general recommendation is to use messages around 5mb
but it heavily depends on other factors so don't threat it as a must

  • Maximum Message size OSB can handle

    Hi,
I am trying to find out the maximum message size OSB can handle without any problems.
I know this may be dependant on JVM settings etc,but what is a safe limit. Can the payload size be of 1 GB etc , say for a WSDL based proxy service.
Any formal documentation on the size of messages?

  • What is the file size that ODI can handle

    Hi all,
What is the file size that ODI can handle ?????????
can it handle 1GB files without any issues?????????
    Thanks
    Phani

    Hi Phani,
It also depends on the type of file you are transfering. If have used the XML file around 1GB and the performance is very low. But we used the Database schema to load the XML data and the performance had increased very well.
I never tried the large flat files load around 1GB.

  • OSB 11g - Maximum file size OSB can handle

    Hi,
What is the maximum size (of a file) which OSB can handle, when then file is polled using FTP, and then use XQuery transformation on it?
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

Processing large files in OSB will be limited by the constraints on both Heap Memory and CPU utilization.
To load larger objects in memory you will need enough Heap Size. If your heap size is not enough you will start getting Out of memory errors and weblogic server might crash. You can either add more memory to the server(which itself has a limit) or you can use content streaming. When you use content streaming the whole object will not be loaded into memory buffer and you will be able to consume large messages. But content streaming has certain limitations because the whole object is not loaded in memory. You can find these limitations at following link and decide if you can implement your use case with these limitations.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/context.html#wp1110513
If not then the best possible option would be to break the file into smaller chunks and then using OSB to read and process those chunks.
Another limitation is the CPU utilization. If you are not transforming the large content CPU should not be an issue. But if you need to transform before passing the payload to backend system then it becomes complicated. Transformations (both XQuery and XSLT ) take a lot of CPU cycles and if you are transforming huge payloads it will consume 100% CPU resulting in overall deterioration of the performance. Like Anuj mentioned, it is not recommended to have complex transformations and transformations of large XMLs within OSB. Its best to move out such transformations to other systems. But, it is also not recommended that you move many transformations to various backend systems. If your architecture involved many flows which have transformations on large objects, you should think about spending on an XML Appliance meant for transformations. These products are purpose built to focus on doing complex XMLXML processing with little impact on the overall CPU utilization. They use hardware acceleration to achieve this. You can contact Oracle Sales team or Oracle support to get more information about this.

  • Export/Import-SPSIte :- What is the max size limit that can be moved using this command??

Export/Import-SPSIte :- What is the max size that can be moved using this command??

I assume you ment Export-SPWeb not Export-SPSite command.
There is no known limitations in file size, except the compression file size that is set to 24MB by default. If you exceed 24MB, the cmp file will be splitted into several files. You can change the default 24MB value up to 1024MB, using the -compressionsize
    parameter.

  • Max Concurrent Audio Conferences my Lync Server can handle

    Hello Experts,
Can somebody help with this calculations:
I was asked by my manager to to find out the "Max concurrent audio conferences" that our Lync Front End server can handle. I have tried used Capacity calculator, but I sometimes get confused with it.
    My information:
    Conferencing codec is G.722 codec,
we have 10,000 users in Lync Front End server
Server runs: dual processor, hexa-core 2.3 ghz
    Assuming 30 % concurrent conferences
    Thanks Guys

Given the user model that 5% of users in a pool may be in a conference at any one time, a pool of 80,000 users could have about 4,000 users in conferences at one time. These conferences are expected
to be a mix of media (some IM-only, some IM with audio, some audio/video, for example) and number of participants. There is no hard limit for the actual number of conferences allowed, and actual usage determines the actual performance. Then you could have
500 users or less in conferences at one time.
You can refer to the link below to calculate.

  • Max size a AVI can be uploaded to iPhoto5

I have a Fuji Fine Pix Z1 and upload pic and short AVI movies to iPhoto5 all the time. I took a AVI yesterday about 3 -4 minutes long and it wont upload to iPhoto. So I wanted to know if there was a limit iPhoto can handle on an upload or there is something wrong with my camera. But I also had some sort 30- 50 second AVI and they uploaded fine.
    Thanks

bothfly, It's very easy....here you go!
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
    Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.
I actually really like doing it this way. I save the movies into dated folders and save the images into dated folders. It makes it very easy to backup just the movies and images this way.
