MaxDB 7.5 does not clear logarea after full backup

Hi all,
We have MaxDB 7.5, turned on the auto-log-backup and are running full data-backups every night.
The problem is that the log-area is not cleared as I expected, so the log-area is filling up at 300 MB per day.
Was I wrong to expect the log-area to be cleared after a full backup?
Is it a parameter-setting?
Any ideas how to solve this?

Screensaver does not clear properly after sleep mode

henever I start my iMac up from sleep mode the screensaver doesn't clear so that I can enter my password. Instead, wherever my mouse is hovering the screensaver is erased in a sort of block by block mode? Then when I hit enter after typing in my password it goes onto the desktop and everything is fine. Anyone know why??

IPad touch screen does not respond even after full restore and update

I have an iPad 2 64 GB
It has for a number of months intermittently stopped responding to any touch screen inputs. This issue began almost as soon as I opened the iPad for the first time. As it was happening very rarely and normally responded eventually, so I thought nothing of it.
This week the iPad will not respond to any touch input at all (Home, On/Off, Volume and Mute buttons still respond). I have tried the hard reset process a number of times and still nothing.
I backed up the device to my machine and applied the latest update 5.1.1 and still no response. I then did a factory reset and still nothing.
I have never dropped or damaged my iPad in any way.
Does anybody know of any ongoing issues with the touch screen or a solution to this problem?

I've already booked myself in to the Genius Bar this week.
I suspect it is a hardware failure and more specifically a loose internal connection.

After hiighlighting a word and pasting it into another document, the clipboard does not clear ;when I hit enter it pastes again and again. How do I fix it?

When I highlight a word or phrase and copy to the clipboard, then paste it in another area the clipboard does not clear the phrase. Therefore, every time as I type and hit the enter key it continues to paste the phrase all over my document. I do have the latest download of Firefox installed (16.0, win 7 and that is when this started. How do I stop this obnoxious behavior so I can type a sentence with normalcy?

BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST - DOES NOT CLEAR OUT ERROR

In ME21N I want to validate the field Commodity Code - STAWN. I have used the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST*
. Have used get_foreign_trade() in the PROCESS_ITEM method . I am able to throw an error . It is doing it but*
after throwing error then when we give a valid Commoditycode too it is still showing the error and not clearing the error .*
As suggested by Dean Q I used INCLUDE mm_messages_mac,
tried im_item->set_foreign_trade( ls_mepo_eipo) still when a valid Commodity code is entered after an invalid one it does not clear out the error. In fact on checking using break-point I found that the second time it does not enter into the method PROCESS_ITEM. Any help is welcome

In SE18 give ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST as the enhancement spot and display. At the left side of the screen you can see the badi definition ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. Expand the tree and double click on implementations. You can see the enhance implementations created. Double click on the enhancement implementation and in that screen there is a check box 'Implementation is active' and field 'Effect in current client'.
If you know the enhancement implementation name(not the badi implementation name), you can check it directly from se19.

History does not clear in address drop down menu

After going to tools--clear history, and tools--options on multiple occasions, my drop down history does not clear from my address bar, nor does it create new history. I still want control of my address bar, so "nothing" under location bar does not solve the problem either. Speaking to someone about this would be greatly appreciated.

The location bar drop down consists of your history and bookmarks, so it's possible that you're seeing bookmarks. Try setting it to only display history.

E72 notifcation light does not stop blinking after...

After receiving an SMS my E72 sometimes keeps blinking the light even after reading it/deleting it. It's as if the notification gets "stuck". It also happens with calls but less often.
This only started happening with 052.005, with previous versions where were no problems.
Can anyone confirm this? Is it a problem in the current firmware or is just my unit needing a hard reset?

Only for missed calls or SMS/MMS. I don't have it on for email (as it would blink too often).
Normally it would stop blinking as soon as I see a missed call on the call log or open/delete an SMS.
But since firmware 052.005 now it sometimes does not blink right after the event is "cleared".
I suspect it is a but as this version had some changes to the breathing/notification light behaviour due to asian languages (even if mine is european PT)

Accounting document not clearing even after payment posting.

In document flow of may cash sale process showing the accounting document 123-- Not cleared.
After payment receipts in FBCJ and posted & saved, eventhough the accounting data not clearing, but in FBL5N the report is updating, what can be the step i am missing to update the document flow TOP to BOTTOM cleared.

FINSTA Bankstatement does not clear Open Items

Dear SAP guru,
I am experiencing an issue where FINSTA bankstatement generated in IHC module does not clear Open items in reciving company code. I would like to get the system to search for the document based on the original FI document number and clear it. The situation is
The bank statement successfully processed has an original document number and processed.
In IMG for EBS, I configure as algorism used is 20 - Document number search and Bank Posting type 4: Clear Debit GL account
Clearing account - and have the posting with relevant document number matched with the bankstatement.
It seems that the system does not find the matching at all.
Could any of you shed some light on what I am missing???

Creating or even using something like a data migration account is the best way.
Are you saying that you have a GL account with say 100 line items and you want them all cleared. If that is the case you wont need a LSMW, make sure you know the amount, and then create a journal posting to your new GL account, and select all items in the GL account you want to clear.
If there are various GL accounts, again no real problem, in F-03 which is what you would be using, you can enter more than GL account so that should not be an issue.

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.7 Lion is to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
Instead of restoring OS X in order to reinstall Safari, try troubleshooting extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
If it's not an extension or plug-in issue, delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Same thing happens when i click restart.
No difference when i run it in Safe mode. And it won't let me create a new profile either. Is there anyway else i can extract my bookmarks? This is driving me crazy!

Did the crash reporter send any crash reports?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
