Maximize into a wider screen every time (not fullscreen)

What I find to be a bit of a nuisance in Safari is the fact that the maximum sized-screen that covers up the entire screen of your computer is non-existent. If you ever want a browser that covers your whole screen, you have to go into Fullscreen Mode itself. First of all, I find it to be annoying to constantly scroll back and forth from a fullscreen mode internet browser to say, Pages. I prefer much more the 3-finger, Mission Control swipe for going in between my applications. If you do get in the maximum-sized screen mode on Safari, in which it is covering up your whole screen, it will stay like that until the next time you open it, but if would make the screen smaller you have to manually move it to make it larger.
To elaborate:
I open Safari, it's a browser that covers half the screen
I want to see nothing but the browser on my screen (no background), so I click and drag the side of the browser to the other side to make it bigger.
After I quit Safari and open it up again, it will be in it's maximum-sized screen.
If, this large screen is made smaller, to about 50% of the computer screen, I can't get back in the maximimum sized screen again, unless I drag it.
I'm wondering, if there is an option to always, by default, go into this maximum sized screen when you press the green right + sign, as it is in Mozilla Firefox.

To turn off your MBP, hold down the power button for 10+ seconds.
