Maximize windows to half of the screen

Is there a way (keyboard shortcut or something) to maximize a windows to the left or right HALF of the screen in?
I've just found out that Windows 7 has a keyboard shortcut for this and it's really handy when working with two or more windows simultaneously (like two texts documentos, one pdf and a text, ...).

I have v. 3.6.8. It will display blank white pages at some site and not at others. I use safe mode and the access is reversed... what used to open doesn't and what didn't does. . .
Is anyone trying to fix this problem - or are users just left to chasing their tails on this issue?

Bookmark Library Window taking half of the page , can't cancel it

Reinstalled Firefox. Each time I open Firefox, bottom half of the screen taken by Bookmarks Library Window (similar to "Bookmarks show all". I can slide it down an minimize but when i restart Firefox , same window taking half of the page again. Really annoying....

How can you get your music synced from iTunes to your iPod when a window pop ups on the screen saying"The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019))?

I had 429 songs already on my iPod Touch. When I was in the process of syncing a song from my iTunes Library on to my iPod, a window popped up on the screen saying, ""The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019)). I click "Device" on my iTunes Library to make sure the song was in my iPod. It showed the song that was recently synced now listed under "Device", but when I physically looked for the song on my iPod Touch, it does not appear on there at all. It all started when I decided to put a Playlist I created in the iTunes Library and transferred it on to my iPod. Do you know why it may affected my syncing process and is there any way where I could get the syncing function back to normal so that I can continue adding songs on my iPod? Thank you for listening. P.S. My iPod iOS version is 4.3.5.

Take it to your closest Apple store and have them look at it.

We have an iPhone 4S and can only see the top half of the screen.

We have an iPhone 4s and can only see the top half of the screen. The phone works fine as far as making calls and you can kind of text, if you can figure out where the keypad is. Is there a fix for this or is it trash? It is out of warranty and we don't have insurance on it.

Pavilion 23xi left half of the screen seems stripy and darker

I have seen and read your post about your monitor showing a green color along the left side with stripes. I understand you have already tried updating your graphics driver and restarting your computer and checking your monitor settings.

Has anyone had issues with half of the screen going hay wire?

I have a 24" LED cinema display. Purchased 09'. The first one I bought had one dead pixel and so they swapped that one out with this new one. For the past 2 years it has a great monitor until about 6 months ago it started distorting half of the screen. It would only do it so often but now its more persistent and more aggressive issue. I called Apple today and got a few options. They said it could be the board ( the cheap option ) or it could be the LCD panel ( the expensive option )
I want to know if anyone has had this issue or anything like it and if so what was the solution? the board or the LCD panel?

Right, I know that much. My question is how bad is the hardware issue.. I was hoping someone might have an idea if it was the mother board inside the monitor or if it was the LCD panel. One is 100 dollar fix the other is 600 dollar fix.. =T

Eden Skin only uses left half of the screen

Has anyone tried the Eden skip from OTN? The top menu line looks fine. The second like with Home Catalog Favorites ... looks fine. The lower portion only displays in the left one-half of the screen. Report Design, Display and Dashboards only use the left half. Anyone know which css file and what elements to change to make it like the default skin? I am using it with 11.1.1.7.1

This has happened to mine too, I wish I was notified about a screen replacement program, I did register my iMac too.. I was quotes $900 + labour to replace the 27 inch screen, and my iMac is less than 3 years old. I'm not happy about this, I am going to take it to the Apple Store and see what they can do for me.

- First: Linc Davis' question seems to be relevant: Indeed, when I disconnect my second display, the problem disappears. However, reconnecting the display makes the problem reappear again.
- I use iPhoto 9.5.1. and Mac OS 9.5.2. The machine is a MacPro first part of 2008 (not a MacBook Pro as I inadvertantly said in my original question). Processor 2X2,8 GHz Quad-core intel Xeon. Memory 6 GB, with new (2yrs old) 2 TB SATA-disk (WDC WD2002FYPS-02w380 Media) as hard disk.
- Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing - with only part of the settings display (in Norwegian) visible.
- I have looked for a solution in the iPhoto settings, turned the program off& on, and restarted the computer, all without success.
- The library is, as I understand it, located in users/[me]/pictures/iPhoto Library.
- No, as I remember I did not apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem. I have regularly updated the programs, as they come, without checking the results on each program.
- I run a managed library

My ipod nano has horizaontal lines through the bottom portion of the screen and the left half of the screen is black, the right half of the screen changes from red, to blue to orange, etc. Any idea how to fix that?

White stripes suddenlt appeared at the bottom of the screen on my ipod nano a few weeks ago. I figured it was just from use and that it is an older model- I could still see through them and use the device. Yesterday, only the left half of the screen was visible, the other side was black. This morning, the stripes are still there, all the way across the screen on the bottom, the left side os black and the right sise is red most of the time. Any ideas on what happened and how to fix it?

I would be concerned as well if my iPod nano screen had stripes and was partially black. I found a resource that I think would help in a situation like this.

You could have a hardware issue, but try this and see if it helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
