Maximo vs SAP

Hi Friends,
we are trying to highlight the differences between Maximo and SAP in the area of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).Maximo Asset management is an IBM tool which is also used for EAM. Request those who have worked on Maximo to reply the differences/advantages of SAP over Maximo and vice versa.

Subhash has listed exactly what you need.
Since you say that you are u201Cnot good in sapu201D, I wanted to clarify.
Only the R file (R900030.D04) needs to be copied to the ../data directory.
Only the K file (K900030.D04 needs to be copied to the ../cofiles directory.
(Copying both files to both directories will work as well.)
The request would be added to the STMS queue as:
D04K900030

Another reason for this error can be lack of resources or pool size of the server. The recommended settings for the Pool size are :
Max Pool size : 50
Max connections : 100
Connection Timeout : 10 sec
Max wait time : 30 sec"

I am working on SAP PI 7.3.1 SP09. Currently we have interfaces which uses 50200 port. I have created a http destination from nwa pointing to https://....url. So all of a sudden all the interfaces went to error state. After debugging i found that the port 50200 is replaced with 50201which is https port. After changing the port to initial value ie., 50200 all interfaces are working fine except the one which were pointing to https url and they are showing the following error description.

Thank you for your hint. Maybe I just forgot to mention one important fact. We have second SAP Netweaver PI 7.1 which is completely our system. The first one I mentioned in first message is the customer's one. The one we have extra is also connected to MAXIMO and GIS. Settings of this interface is completely same among one thing:
Patch level of XIAF:

Also important to mention is fact that same problem happened in our SAP PI, but we implemented last patch of XIAF and it has suddenly started to work. I have suspicion it is somehow connected to this patch. Btw. this patch contains a lot of notes regarding AXIS framework (i.e. 1435998, 1150375, 1048268), so obviously some bugs of the AXIS adapter has been resolved by this patch.

XML Payload Validator SAP PI 7.1

Estou com um problema em um interface, mais propriamente em um campo do mesmo que é um string (50). E este campo esta a ser enviado com 51 caracteres, e mesmo assim o PI aceita sem qualquer tipo de validação anterior, o que vai gerar um dump na maquina destino. Estive a ver e é possível usar um XML Validator, alguém me pode explicar como é que funciona ao certo. Ja estive a ler e sei que e necessário importar o XSD e depois colocar no root do PI, mas mais que isso não sei.

No PI 7.1 existe a funcionalidade sim.
A validacao é baseada na definicao da sua messagem no service interface. No caso, vc tem q definir no Data Type que o tamanho maximo do campo é 50 (ou no XSD a partir do qual a interface foi criada).

Solution Manager Integration with Maximo

Hi All,
I believe all you know what is Maximo. Those who do not know, I would like to take an opportunity to brief them about the same.
Maximo is a ticketing tool from IBM. This tool is basically used to record and keep track of all change requests taking place in SAP landscape.
Having explained in brief above about Maximo, may somebody please tell me if this can be integrated with Solution Manager?
Has anybody done it before? If so, may you please share your experience with me?

Here we use IBM ITM SAP agent to do this work.
ITM add some programs and transactions to configure this. We configure RZ20 CCMS monitors and export those alert information to ITM agent that has also integration with IBM Maximo (ITIL based tool to track incidents,changes,problems, etc...)
I don't have any details about coding of this agent but I think you could use a ready-to-use product or develop your own based on your needs.
Maybe using an out of the box product will reduce costs managing code (develop and maintenance)

I am trying to integrate IBM tool Maximo with Solman for incident management and testing. I have gone thru SAP notes 529754, 962383 but not getting any direction its possible or not?

Tenemos SAP BO 2007 A PL 49, hemos detectado que el sistema esta muy lento al momento de obtener reportes financieros o realizar una revalorización. Tenemos alrededor de 3 millones de pòlizas, será que esto afecte el performance del sistema?

Efectivamente lo reportado ha sido remitido anteriormente a SAP Soporte por algunos usuarios. La generación de reportes en Business One, activa una serie de Store procedures que podrian ralentizar o paralizar completemante el sistema para el resto de los usuarios.
A los momentos la recomendación inicial es la de evaluar todo escenario en la ultima version y parche disponible (2007A SP01).
Aún asi, podrian continuar observandose el bajo rendimiento en el sistema.
Algunas acciones recomendadas:
- Generar los reportes fuera de horas pico de uso del sistema.
- Capturar e identificar en un trace el Store procedure o select que genera los cuellos de botella en SQL.
- Optimizar al maximo los recursos y settings del sistema operativo y hardware, explicadas a continuación.
Existen dos consideraciones especiales cuando un servidor necesita direccionar mas de 2 Gigabytes de RAM, ambos el Servidor SQL y el sistema operativo requieren configuraciones especiales.
Si estas configuraciones no se toman en consideración, SQL Server tendrá problemas intentando direccionar un rango de memoria mayor a 2 Gigabytes, causando problemas a las aplicaciones que están obteniendo acceso a cualquier base de datos en el servidor. En el caso de SBO, se podría ver afectado con esta situación, mostrando un "Memory Access Violation Error".
Existen diferencias entre las consideraciones y configuraciones utilizando Windows 2000 y Windows 2003. Windows 2003 ha mejorado el performance por medio de direccionamiento de memoria y Terminal Services (AWE y PAE de Microsoft).

Por último la implementació de indices (bajo aprobación de SAP) podria solventar escenarios especificos. Les invitamos a revisar la nota 1376447 en la cual se explica el procedimiento para remitir la aprobación de indices en Business One.

Interfacing with MAXIMO 5.2

We need to interface with maximo 5.2 (there is no Maximo MEA adapter for SAP)
what are our options?
1) Get Maximo MEA adpater for SAP (Which uses SAP webmethod server instead of XI). Is it possible to have Maximo Webmethods server interact directly with SAP XI?
2) Or directly insert into MAXIMO tables?
3) Or upgrade to maximo 6.0?

SAP ERP Implementation Questions

I have some questions about SAP and implementation:
I am finding information on SAP ERP 6.0 and MySAP ERP ECC 6.0 is there a difference in these products if so what are they?
Does anyone have experience implementing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and the legacy system is MAXIMO 5.2? If so any hints, tips or advice?
My primary focus will be the MM module, again any hints, tips or advice.

A. Yes. You will communication likn between ERP 6.0 and any legacy systems.
You should use SAP tools like SAP BC (Business Connector). Using this tools you can transfer the legacy system data to SAP ERP 6.0.

SAP message Log

Does SAP maintain log of all the messages displayed on screen using MESSAGE statement?
We are investigating a problem and want to see the messages displayed by SAP during the time when problem occured.

We have custom development for picking and confirmation. Last week we found that in some deliveries there is difference in delivered quantity and packed quantity.
Custom development is calling sap-standard FMs. Problem occurs randomly, roughly 10 deliveries in a week has this problem.
We are still trying to investigate the reason that is causing the problem.
Custom program does display the message to user if FM raise any message. We asked user of they are getting any message while picking, and if they are ignoring it.
They just confirmed that they are getting message 'Packing Not Possible Since there is no Quantity to be Packed' and they did ignored this.

Rendering xml-table into logical filename in SAP R/3

Hi,
I am trying to translate an xml-table with bytes into a logical filepath in SAP R3.
Do I have to use the method gui-download or shall I loop the internal xml-table?
When I tried to loop the xml-table into a structure, and then transfering the structure into the logical filename, I get problems with the line breaks in my xml-file. How do I get the lines to break exactly the same as I wrote them in my ABAP-code?

Estou iniciando um projeto de implementação de MP135 + NF-e + SPED na versão 4.7 do SAP, este ambiente encontra-se atualizado com o SP30.
Gostaria de saber se é possível configurar a NF-e com base no novo layout definido no "novo" manual de integração do contribuinte (emitido em 16/03/2009) versão 3.00, a versão 4.7 com SP30 está preparada?
Como estamos iniciando a fase de blueprint, foi colocado por parte do cliente o interesse de implementação da NF-e com esta nova versão, permitindo desde já que a empresa emita NF-e já novo layout definido.

O projeto NF-e no R/3 4.7 tem como prerequisito mínimo o SP 30, conforme SAP Note 989115. Então você está tranquilo quanto a isso. Faça uma busca em XX-CSC-BR-NFE no market place filtrando este support package para obter a lista de notas que deverá aplicar em seu ambiente.
Fiz uma rápida análise no manual 3.0 e concluí que as principais modificações são relacionadas ao DANFE, que no manual 3.0 diserta sobre a possibilidade de impressão em formulário contínuo e também a diferença do DANFE em contingência. O novo manual aproveita para documentar novas rejeições, novos retornos de protocolo (adicionando valores para o SCAN/DPEC), e o consulta de cadastro de emissor (atualmente sem suporte).
O layout utilizado continuará sendo o 1.10, com mínimas modificações no domínio de alguns campos (ex.: bairro exige hj de 1 a 60 caracteres, está mudando para 2 a 60 caracteres).
Respondendo sua pergunta, a solução SAP/GRC pode emitir NF-e conforme este novo manual pois o layout 1.10 já é suportado, regras de validação deverão ser atualizadas no GRC para evitar falha de schema (215/225) na Sefaz.
