Maximum 3845 voice card capacity?

Hello,
I am trying to build a 3845 of the following spec.with the configurator tool.
in the NM slots:
2x EVM-HD-8FXS/DID each with 2x EM3-HDA-8FXS/DID
2x NM-HD-2V each with 2x VIC2-2BRI-NT/TE
in the HWIC slots:
1x VIC2-2BRI-NT/TE
1x HWIC-4ESW
I specify IOS upgrade to S384RSPSK9-12424T so that the EM3-HDA is supported.
But when I finally click check configuration, it says there are only 4 HWIC slots available in CISCO3800, it doesn't appear to take into account that 4 of them are going into the NM-HD-2V modules.
Is this a configurator bug?
Now someone has told me that the 3845 doesn't support 2x EVM-HD-8FXS/DID each with 2x EM3-HDA-8FXS/DID as well.
Is this true or not?
HELP!
Paul

I thought that the VG224/248 were non-preferred (going end-of-life) as the newer routers (28xx,38xx,29xx,39xx) have absorbed the functionality into their capability.
Customer wants to remain on analog handsets and TDM for voice, so VOIP is not an option.
Unfortunately, I have a requirement to interface to 8 ISDN BRI user devices, BRI is an essential component. I am using E1 for the PSTN trunking.
So, pushing the envelope or not, does anyone know if a 3845 can give me 48x analog voice ports, 8x BRI ports, 1x E1 port and 4x Ethernet switch ports? If so, what modules do I need to achieve this?

To pay with a new card, remove one of your saved cards from your stored payment details. when his father put a new card says I have too saved the maximum number of cards and I deleted all the cards in Stored payment details

If you lost your memory card password, it is not possible to recover data on it.
But atleast you can save your memory card by using a trick.
Just insert your memory card into a smartphone like Nokia E66 which i have tried.
Now try to format, and it works without need of your forgotten password.
    You know what
these Smartphone won't ask for password
Please click on Kudo button if my post helped to save your memory card.

  • Router 2911 with voice card VIC3-E/M VOIP Problem

    hi All
I want to ask if any of you have any experience like this. I have deployed a new Cisco router (model 2911) in my client. The previous router they used is 2811. After deployement, the WAN & LAN connection work fine, but the VOIP connection does not work.
The previous router (2811) uses a voice card module VIC2-e/m. But the new router (2911) use voice card module VIC3-e/m. It is used to connect to the PABX Panasonic TD-1232.
    Could this be a factor?
    Can anyone help?

    Hi,
In addition to what Terry has said, the only change is IOS 15.1 where Toll Fraud Prevention feature was introduced which says
The router will automatically add any destinations that are defined as an ipv4 target in a VoIP dial-peer to the trusted source list. You can run the command
    show ip address trusted list
To overcome this behaviuor, you can follow the three ways as suggested in below link  .The one has been already suggested by Terry.

  • Differences betwin Cisco Voice Cards

    Hi,
I have a Media Gateway that is certificated to work with Cisco 2650XM using NM-HDV-1E1-30E or NM-HDV-2E1-60 cards to make trunk TDM and cisco work as ARU (Automatic response Unit) using TCL 2.0.
Now, i have a cisco 2811 and seen VWIC-2MFT-E1 and VWIC-2MFT-G703 cards, that are more cheap than that the NM cards.
My question is if can I use this VWIC to replace that NM voice cards for applications of ARU (Automatic response Unit) using TCL 2.0.
    Thanks.

  • Largest Media Card Capacity for BB Curve 8330

I have read the largest supported capacity for the BB curve 8330 is 8 GB but I was wondering if anyone had tried any larger capacities memory cards with any success or failure. I would love to put all my music on my phone, but 8 GB is not going to hold it all. I have A LOT of music. I would need at least 16 GB to get by with to be able to have room for all my music, pictures and videos. But before I run out and spend a bunch of money on a larger card I wanted to know if anyone else had tried it.

  • What SIM card capacity does the new iPad require (64K or 128K)?

I brought a new iPad (4G+wifi) to my parents to replace their old laptop, I am trying to get them a micro-sim. Since they are not in Australia, I am not quite sure which capacity of sim card does the new iPad require (my one working pretty good with Optus). 64K is the most comment one in their country, therefore I am not sure which one should I purchase. If would be really greatful if anyone has an answer for that! Thanks in advance

The iPad comes with 16, 32, or 64 GB of storage. Perhaps that is what you are referring to. The sim card has no storage so amount of "K" is meaningless. Sim cards have the single purpose of connecting to your provider's network.
Perhaps you are referring to phone sim cards that can store contact numbers. I think these have 64K or 128K storage capacity on the sim card.

  • E1 voice card

    Hi
Could you kindly assist with the following?
Do the Cisco VWIC-1MFT-E1, VWIC-2MFT-E1 cards support half duplex communications? We have VHF radios at our remote sites which our guys can access through a Vanguard router. Each timeslot carries a specific frequency(radio) and the E1 card is configured as half duplex to eliminate any feedback.

    Hi. Thanks for the reply!!
Let me explain properly what I meant about half duplex comms. At present we have  6 digital radios(frequencies) at our remote site which is connected to our main  site through IP Link (IP VPN MPLS). These remote radios need to be communicated  with our voice switch at main site. The communication interface for both radios  and voice switch is E1 ie we want to have communication between voice switch  and remote radios through routers having E1 cards. All radios are connected to a  E1 card on our Vanguard router and routed through MPLS cloud to our main office  where we take it from an E1 card to our voice switch. Each of the 6 frequencies  is assigned a timeslot on the E1 and the idle state is set to 0101. When one of  the air traffic controllers keys the remote radio(PTT) the TX code 1010 is sent  to the remote side and the radio gives the squelch code of 0011 back which means  the radio has opened the path for transmission from voice switch to antenna and the  controller can speak to the pilot. At this time, ideally the receive path from  pilot should be closed ,ie. half duplex, but the  E1 card was , by default, set to full duplex and this caused feedback as the rx  path was still open when the controller was sending a transmission. Vanguard  then changed their software to half duplex so that when a controller PTT's the  remote radio only the transmit path is open and on the other side, when pilot  keys the mike, only rx path become open and not tx path. This cleared the  feedback problem we had.
For reasons I don't want to get in to I'd rather use Cisco but I would like to know if the above mentioned is possible before purchasing E1 cards only to find out we're stuck with the feedback problem.
    Cheers!!

  • Maximum cos1 (voice traffic) supported by Cisco ASR 1006 router

    Dear Team,
Please confirm the maximum cos 1 traffic supported by cisco ASR 1006 router.

Yes, it would. If you are planning on terminating a single site on this router I would spread over multiple routers for redundancy.
Table 6 explains number of ports and channels providing you have the DSPs:

  • ISL and card capacity question.

    Greetings,
When using ISL's on 16 port 2 Gb cards, you can use one port for an ISL but when using 32 port cards, you must use only one port in the port group (four ports). So the other three ports are useless (turned off).
With the new 4 Gb cards, port groups are no longer composed of four ports. The DS-X9124 is composed of six ports and the DS-X9148 is composed of twelve ports in a port group.
So, what exactly does that mean? Will an ISL require 5 ports and 11 ports to be wasted in the 24 and 48 port 4 Gb cards respectively? If so, thats a huge waste of ports.
The reason I ask is that my edge 9216's will have the 16 port 2 Gb ports (the second card will be a DS-X9148) for Port Channel ISL's to my 9509 core.
Our project manager has gotten carried away with the new 4 Gb ports but has not done much research. So if I had a 8 port Port Channel ISL from the 9216, can I use a 24 port 4 Gb card in the 9509 or do I need another 16 port 2 Gb card?
The Cisco doco on the 4 Gb cards sort of suggests that the 24 port 4 Gb card can be used for ISL's but it does not state if port groups have restrictions like the 32 port 2 Gb cards.
Clear as mud isn't it? Any help would be appreciated.
    Stephen

No restrictions like on the 32-port card.
With the new 24 and 48 port cards you have 12.8 Gbps of bandwidth available per port group and you can dedicate bandwidth per port from that. ISLs require dedicated bandwidth. As long as you do not overbook the port group by dedicating more bandwidth than available you're fine and do not need to put any ports out of service.
E.g. on a 24 port card you have 4 port groups of 6 ports each. You could dedicate 2 ports @ 4G in the port group for two ISLs and have the other four ports in the group share the rest of 4 Gbps (running 4:1 oversubscribed). Or you could just use one ISL per port group and have five ports share the rest of 8.8 Gbps.
All that is described in detail here:
