Maximum Activations Exceeded (no help from chat or phone support)

I can not get Muse to activate on my computer since (around) the time CC was released.  At first I assumed it was a problem with my install so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't work.  I then gave it a few days thinking there was something on the Adobe side that would go away.  Every couple of days I would try and get the same error but all my other CS6/CC products open just fine (that I have tried, I have them all installed but have not actually tried every one).  It is only installed on this one computer so I know I should have at least one additional activation for another computer, not that I need that for this computer. 
I then sent and email to tech support and have not heard back in a few days so once again I try to no avail.  I then search the web and see there is a fix for people in the same situation and I follow those instructions do delete three folders (2 in the one folder, 1 in another). I try and it does not work.  So I try to contact Chat support and after wasting a lot of time I am finally told that they can't help with technical matters and I should call tech support.  I try them, he helps, asks me to uninstall and reboot then reinstall after we tried a few other minor things (had me log out of the CC app).  I proceeded to uninstall, remove the same folders as before, reboot, reinstall and then go to activate.  No luck! I was told not to call tech support back but to go to chat which further frustrated me as they are taking me full circle.  He also suggest that I can go the forums so here I am.
I am very frustrated and without a product because of crappy DRM/cloud issues and I have no choice in the matter besides canning the software.  Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide...

My normal Muse is fine now, but I'm getting the same problem as before when I try to login to the Adobe Muse Prerelease. Can you look into the problem.

    No, Support will not reset the activation count becuase you are trying to run the trial on the third machine.
    You already have Creative Cloud on 2 machine with the same Adobe ID.
    Use different Adobe ID with which you haven't bought creative cloud and use that one to "License the Software"

  • Unable to De-Authorize Computer due to Hard Drive Crash. Getting now Maximum Activations Exceeded

    I purchased an iMac at BestBuy, installed my Adobe Cloud Subscription (secondary license, the primary is activated on my iMac at work) onto it and used it for a week. The hard drive crashed and I went back to BestBuy and had them replace the iMac with the same model.
    I was obviously unable to de-authorize the returned iMac and on the new one I get the message: Maximum Activations Exceeded ...
    Why isn't there an easier way to de-authorize computers.
    I went to the chat and they gave me the tech support number which happens to be available only from Mo-Fr. I am pretty much unable to do any work from home over the weekend.
    Is there any solution to this problem I am not aware of?

    Nope, you need to call and have all your info ready. They are pretty sticky about confirming it's you. Once they confirm it's you they will change it. Easy Peasy. I have had to do it a couple of times over the years.

    CS6 perpetual Mac is version 13.0.6 Windows is version 13.0.1.3 Subscription cloud version is 13.1.2.  If you have a cloud subscription and a perpetual licence you would not be able to have both version install at the same time on same machine. What does your Creative Cloud desktop application show and if you start CS6 if the flash screen shows or you can get to menu Help>About Photoshop what version i shown 13.0.6  or 13.0.1.3 or 13.1.2?

    We have 2 creative cloud accounts (enabling us to use on 4 computers - per conversation with adobe rep) and still get maximum activations exceeded error and request to login every time launching apps... Please help as I cannot use PS until this is rectified.

    What do we have to do to make sure that we can get what we are paying for?
    You can install and use the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on two computers at once, as long as the same person is logging in to both machines and using the products with the same ID. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information.
    Which is 2 Creative Cloud accounts, to run on 4 computers?
    Same as Above. So Ideally you can run 4 computers.

    I have reinstalled my OS on my MacBook Pro without deactivating my CS6 and Flash Builder programs and now I cannot reactivate them. I have serials for Master Collection 5.5 and 6, as well as Flash Builder 4.7 Premium. How can I get the old activations removed from my account?

  • Maximum Activations Exceeded

    On my very first device (laptop) application manager will not let me sign in to any CC app saying I have exceeded the maximum number of 2 devices. This is not true. For me it was 1. Laptop, 2. Desktop. The apps worked for a week or so before I had this problem.
    Definitely a no-go when working against a deadline.

    That would half correct and half incorrect , let me try and explain :-
    You can install the applications on 2 computers but cannot use them at the same time , now if  go on third computer and install the software you will get the message "Activation limit reached"    now you will provided with two options (if my memory serve me well) :-
    a) To deactivate all the applications which are already activated
    b) to enter the new serial number
    If you choose , the option "a" , your Third computer will be activated but your previous 2 computer will be deactivated , now when you will open the previous computer say Deaktop , it will be automatically activated but when you will open the Laptop it will give you the same error message and options , and this cycle goes on.
    This was activation's concept , now your issue seems to be different , so would like to know the exact problem with complete details liek Error message and OS.

  • I was trying to activate my CS3 and got help from chat until he said it was an installing issue. The application opens and then closes unexpectedly.

    I just got a new mac and I'm trying to download my Adobe CS3 onto it. I was able to download and then I tried to activate it. I entered the CS3 serial number and then asked for the serial number of the older version. I originally bought CS2 on disc and downloaded it onto my old mac and from there bought an upgrade to CS3. I no longer have the discs or box for CS2 and so I do not have the CS2 serial number. I contacted chat support who helped until I reached the point where I could open the application but then it would quit immediately and say "Adobe Update quit unexpectedly." Then he said it was an installing issue and turned me to the forums. Help, please?

    JohnEden I would recommend running all available uninstallers to remove the current installation.  The uninstallers are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once you have ran the uninstallers then please also utilize the CC Cleaner Tool for a complete removal.  You can find details on how to utilize the CC Cleaner Tool at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

  • Quite suddenly, after a year or so, I cannot access the iTunes store.  I have uninstalled iTunes and downloaded itunes 10.4.  Windows is up to date.  I've requested help from Apple and iTunes support to no avail.  They replied but nothing worked.

    Just before the problem occurred, a message appeared, "Your request could not be completed.  The item you've requested is not currently available in the US store."  Has anone had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it?

    I have the same problem.  Everything else in iTunes works fine, but when I go to the iTunes store, I just get the blank page labeled "iTunes Store."  I don't get an error or anything, it just stops there.  Or, like today, I tried to download a digital copy of a movie, and I got as far as having iTunes try to connect to the store again, and the little box came up with "Connecting to the iTunes Store" title, and the little green dots running across to tell me that it is still trying to connect.  That box just sat there and ran for 4-5 minutes, to no avail.  Also, and I don't know if it is connected to this issue or not, but AppleMobileDevice.exe kicks in everytime iTunes starts and ***** up 99% of my CPU.  And if I end that program, then iTunes starts using the 99%, even though it isn't doing anything.  I've had this problem for at least 3 or 4 months.  I hope someone comes up with an answer; iTunes is losing my business, as I cannot shop or browse or anything.

  • CS2 Activation Error on OS X 10.5 - Phone Support useless

    Has anyone been able to active CS2 on OS X 10.5?
    I get an 'not enough numbers' error.  I've called support three times over the last 15 days, and two weeks ago they offered a solution within 48 hours, a week ago they promised a solution within 48 hours.
    I have a educational copy bought several years ago.  I migrated from a Mini to a MBP and well... I find support useless and full of crap.

    there are 24 digits in a serial number.
    Also CS2 is not supported in 10.5.x and never will be. If you can get it to work great but you are on your own.
    If you have a new Mac its an Intel Mac. CS2 is not native to Intel Macs and must run in Rosetta a PowerPC chip emulation. This ads another level of problems.

    I can not get my downloader to connect with my server?. It just stops inert in the opening position and says it is trying to connect.  My internet connection through a hardwire to my internet provided is fine.  My browser is Mosilla.  I have closed all other apps, restarted, got a new downloader of the internet.  What is wrong?  What can I do.  My opener has sat for about 10 hours.  Please provide call or provide a number.

    Chat and Phone support is usually available for licensing and installing issues especially for Cloud applications because they garner the most income.  Support for other things like How Tos and Troubleshooting, like your XMP reading issue, or obsolete products is only available from the user-to-user forums.
