Maximum amount of firefire devices until i notice speed problems?

I have a newer imac and the WD 4TB raid drive, which i have seen use up about 70 MB/s max with large transfers. Problem is since i partitioned it and run time machine on it, it slows down anything on that drive while its backing up. So i was thinking of getting a 2TB drive for time machine and backups. Along with an M-Audio project mix audio interface when will it start affecting the firewire bandwidth

For Time Machine, speed is not so critical. So I would get a less expensive, but large, USB 2.0 external drive to use as your Time Machine archive drive. USB 2.0 is fast enough for Time Machine. That frees up the FireWire bandwidth currently used by Time Machine for doing backups.
To answer your question, any recent SATA drive is capable of much faster file transfer than even FireWire 800. So the FireWire port is the bottleneck. Therefore, if the drive is being accessed, it will affect the transfer rate of any other drive being accessed at the same time. If the drive is just sitting there not being accessed, it should not affect transfer file to another drive.

I just bought a docking station for my iPad so I could plug into a mixing board and record a live show. I was disappointed at the time limitation for the recordings. What is the maximum amount you can record a song into GB for the iPad?

I purchased a docking station for my iPad so that I could record a live recording of my band directly from a mixing board this weekend using GarageBand. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the song length limitations of the iPad version of this program. Basically, was unable to capture more than 15 minutes of the gig. I've read other conversations on this forum and can't really determine the maximum amount of time this application can record. Can anyone tell me how long GarageBand for ipad can record at one single time and how to adjust the settings to achieve this? Also, is anyone aware of any other apps than could be used to record a longer please share. Thanks.

I received an email reply from George, the Founder and CEO of Studiomini, he indicated to me that their app does not have any time limitations in regards to recording like GB does, you are only limited by the amount of free space on your iPad. Fo what it's worth, I think the Alesis IO Dock is an amazing piece of equipment. I would highly recommend purchasing the IO Dock and plugging your mixing board into the dock to capture your rehearsal. Hopefully the feedback I received from Studiomini is accurate and I can capture my entire rehearsal at one time. I hope this feedback helps. One last note, apparently their will be a update soon to view Studiomni in the landscape view on the iPad instead of just the portrait view.

CallManager 7.02 Maximum Number of Registered Devices

We are currently running CallManager version 7.02 with the following configurations:
One Publisher and two Subscribers
CM Groups - 2
Sub1-CMG (used by 9000 devices)
    Sub1
    Sub2
    Pub
Sub2-CMG (used by 4475 devices)
    Sub2
    Sub1
    Pub
Maximum Number of Registered Devices - 10000
1) We just added some more devices that changed to number of devices to:
Sub1-CMG (used by 10050 devices)
Sub2-CMG (used by 4475 devices)
So, some of the new devices did not get registered with CallManager.
2) We changed the Maximum Number of Registered Devices to 12000
When we checked the new devices, there were still some that were not registered.
3) If we move the new devices to Sub2-CMG they register with CallManager.
Any thoughts here?

Since you are on CUCM 7, this means your cluster is running on MCS servers, from memory I think the top level MCS server in CUCM appliance mode supported upto 7500 phones per server. So you may be running into a hardware limit. Although you can configure I guess upto 15000 phones in the CUCM service parameter but still the MCS appliance mode had the 7500 phone/server limit with a max of 30,000 phones per cluster.
So either you have a MCS 7845 I2 or H2 the limit is 7500 per server (I am guessing you have top model of the MCS from number of phones you have otherwise limit will be further lower):

F110/ FBZP - maximum amount paid per Vendor in Payment run

How do i create payment run where i want to restrict the maximum paid to a vendor per transaction.
If amount exceeds this, i still wish to pay, but to split over more than one payment order
Our BACS payments are now being processed via FASTER PAYMENTS, and there seems to be a limit of £100,000 per transaction per vendor - anything over is being rejected by danske bank
So far example above, if vendor is due 156,000 - i wish to make this payment still to them, but over 2 or 2 payment orders, none of them to be more than 100,000
I have tried several methods via FBZP by using the maximum amount, but none of my settings seem to work so far,

Not exactly the solution, but going forward you can try split the invoices and process it separately at the time of invoicing itself. Otherwise you can try the option installment payment terms, but there may be at least one day difference in payment.

Maximum amount of items in an edb database

I try to find out if there´s a limitation concerning the maximum amount of items (messages,appointments ...) in an edb database.
I´m currently on Exchange Enterprise 2010 SP3 with 3 databases in a DAG. One of this databases contains more than 5000000 items.
Does anyone know when its going to be critical?

I think that is what I´ve been searching for. In fact there´s no limitation for objects in a database. There are limits for objects in critical folders that must be considered to keep up performance for Exchange.

It is just used as maximum amount limit for a payment method.
For example: for India, the RTGS transactions are only for amount above 100000, so you can define here the minumum amount as 100000 for the payment using RTGS.

Setting maximum amount to print cheque using transaction F-58

Dear SAP Colleagues
We have a requiement to set the maximum amount of $25M cheque to post and print when using transaction F-58. We have set all our payment terms to have this maximum amount. However the user can still use the transaction F-58 with mount exceng $25M.
Please advise if there is a setting in SAP where we can define the maximum amount for cheque to post and print using transacton F-58.

Try creating a validation in AP for that transaction code and the amount. I am not sure, but you can test. I don't think there is any place in SAP where you can restrict the amount for a transaction.

We were recently requested to update one of our expense type's "Default/Max. value", also we were requested to have the "Amount type" set to "Error message for exceeding maximum". We have now come across a problem where credit receipts that are uploaded to our system are above the maximum amount allowed and are receiving the error message, these receipts cannot be itemized with personal expense down to the maximum because of the error message, so the users are having to enter these receipts in manually.
Is there a way to keep the error message for the maximum value and be able to itemize the receipt even if the receipt is above the limit?

In SAP we have any field like Richtext field in Lotunotes, which can hold anyamount of data, I mean it can store arbitary amount of data based on the input.
I have came across certain fileds called LCHR, but it has got a limitation. Fields of this type must be located at the end of transparent tables (in each table there can be only one such field) and must be preceded by a length field of type INT2.
But I need to know about a field which can hold maximum amount of data at a time.

starting with ECC600 and in all unicode systems the length of a character is system-dependent.
Fields of type STRING store an arbitrary amount of characters, type XSTRING stores an arbitrary amount of BYTES.
AFAIK a Notes Richtext field will hold much more: formatting, data and document type an what else.
There is nothing directly comparable in ABAP.

Also, is there a restriction to the size of files when uploaded to use as apps?

As far as size, Apple does have a limit of 2GB per app. I don't know if there is any size limit in viewer apps though.
The largest app I've ever published came in at just under 1.2 GB. And while I strong recomend against ever getting that large, the app still works, and was still accepted.
