Maximum concurrent users?

Hello,
We have a potential customer which would have ~1000-1500 registered users (thank $deity$ not all concurrent). What are the max concurrent users your system has and what kind of hardware do you have to pull if off?

There are no built-in constraints. It's dependent on your hardware resources.
There is no easy answer to your question. It's like saying, I have a vehicle, how much petrol do I need to drive from San Francisco to New York? :)
You could start by looking at the Forms Capacity Planning Guide in the Forms area on OTN:

  • Maximum concurrent user on OC4J Stand Alone ?

    Hi All,
    I have questions on OC4J :
    1) How many concurrent user that can be supported by OC4J 10.1.3 Stand Alone ?
    2) What is different between OC4J Stand Alone and OC4J Stand Alone that comes with JDev ?
    Thank you,
    xtanto

    Hi,
1.) This depends on your application and of the configuration of OC4J (for example JVM parameter).
2.) Afaik there is no difference between both OC4J. OC4J which comes with JDev
is the J2EE runtime environment for JDeveloper. For development purposes it is much easier to use the embedded OC4J instead of deploying first the application to a remote OC4J.

  • ISE maximum concurrent user (same user)

    Hi buddies
Is possible Cisco ISE, limit the simultaneous login?
    Example:
Use A has laptop, iphone, ipad, android table and android mobile. Today, the user can login in corporate wlan simultaneous (with same user/pass) in all devices.
The customers wants limit, for example, 3 simultaneos login (with same user/pass), by SSID, for example for SSID Vip simultaneous login = 5, for SSID X, simultaneous login = 3.
The WLC redirect all SSID (guest(WEB-AUTH) and corporate (802.1X)) to ISE

  • Max Concurrent users

Has any one idea how many concurrent users can Sun One 6.0 support ?
We are doing Load testing of web application on Sun One 6.0 using LoadRunner. The maximum concurrent users that it is supporting is around 25. If Users are more than 25 then the application context of web application gets refreshed and few user transactions gets failed.
Is there any way to exceed this limit ? and plz tell if anyone has done load testing on Sun One 6.0

well by concurrent users i mean 25 users logging at that very instant.
And application context (servletcontext) gets refreshed means - like i am maintaing connection pool object and user hashmap object at application level.
    code in JSP ::application.setAttribute ("connpool",ObjConnPool)
when no of concurrent users get more, all logging at same time, then these objects r removed from application (servletcontext) and i get null pointer exception as objects r no more binded to application(servletcontext). This definately means application(servletcontext) has refreshed

  • Concurrent Users in OBIEE

    Hello,
How can we set the number of concurrent users who will use the OBIEE application?
    Thanks in Advance.

There is a setting in the Repository for the connection pools for maximum concurrent users.

  • Maximum number of concurrent users that can connect to a SQL DB

I see various SQL DB plan S0, S1, S2 and P1, P2 and P3.  Each one of them talk about DTU's but never talk about the max number of concurrent users.  Where can I find that number and is it configurable by the end user?

It is the maximum connection that is most important. Best practice is not to have users holding on to their connection for long period of time. Maximum user connection in SQL is 32767, resource permitting. Not sure for Azure SQL. If you follow best
practice, you are not supposed to hit this limit cause other limits will be hit first.

  • How to get Maximum Number of Concurrent users for last few days?

    Hi,
How I can get maximum number of concurrent users which were logged in to the system (ECC 5.0) I mean I want to check the hostory for last few weeks. Is there any way to get the same? I know that I can get Cumulative number of users in st03 under Expert mode but that is the number of users logged into the system during the day. Is there any place where SAP maintians the High Watermark of Number of concurrent users reached in the system?
    Thanks in advance...
    Regards,
    Pravin

Sorry I really missed that I have posted a question here on sdn. I wanted to know this for planning the system hardware requirements. Activities like PM ( Performance Management ) happens once a year and during that activity we see heavy user loan on the system so if I have the exact stats of 1 or 2 years data I can size the system better next time. Fortunately last 2 years PM was very smooth for us. In that look for the improvement because each time we had little extra Harware. By doing the exact analysis we can save a Cost of ownership...
I was looking for R/3 users. I could see the number in st07 but I want to know the exact number at particular time.. I believe that st07 stores only for few days.
    Thanks
    Pravin

  • How do you set maximum number of concurrent users to OBIEE

In a training session for the end users - only 4 users could connect - after this others could not connect - got NQS Error:100118 Access for the connection is refused

As I don't see any configuration tag to specify concurrent users.
Try this, go to connection pool (within RPD) and set the maximum number of connections, this does correspond to number of concurrent connections to database but not concurrent users.
    mark posts promptly.

  • Maximum Number of Concurrent User Sessions Limit?

Please can you tell me if there is a limit for the maximum number of concurrent users sessions that can access the Portal? If so, where is the setting and how do I change it?
By the way, I am not experiencing any issues; I am asking purely for information purposes
    Thanks.

There used to be under one of the services in service configuration.  I thought it was under portal runtime, but I can´t see it now.  It mentioned it in the TZTEP1 course, but I haven´t got it with me.
Having said that, I don´t know if it worked!

  • Maximum number of concurrent users in RDC

    Hi
Can anyone tell me what is the maximum number of concurrent users
that can view reports running under RDC component ?
    thanks

The RDC is limited to three concurrent processes. Only reason I was after the craxdrt.dll v.s. craxddrt.dll is that craxddrt requires extra licensing. Anyhow, the article [Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Component Licensing Explained|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/804acc00-8364-2b10-b995-de99ca43c403&overridelayout=true] has more detailed information. I understand you are using CR 10 and the doc title is CR XI r2, but as far as the RDC the licensing details remain the same between the two versions.

  • Maximum number of concurrent users

What is the maximum number of concurrent users any single given Airport can handle? I believe it is ten...
    Thank you!

If the AirPort is configured to create a wireless network, the AirPort Express can handle up to 10 users. The AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule will handle up to 50.

  • Scalability in BlazeDS - What is the maximum number of concurrent users possible with BlazeDS?

    Hi all,
is there a limit on the number of concurrent users that can connect via BLAZEDS? I see many places that it is only in 100s and not in 1000s.
is that true? Anybody has doen performance testing on that?
    Thanks
    Kiran

What is practical? Probably between 1 and 6 streams can be done with reasonable use of bandwidth. However, keep in mind that you will likely want to use the lowest quality setting for cameras so they are demanding the least amount of bandwidth.
Using the Connect 8 numbers, Low quality webcam video with the room at LAN settings should have an aprox average bandwidth consumption of 184 kbps. From there it is just simple math. 6 live streams at that setting will be 1.1 Mbps. Alternatively, at High quality webcam video and with the room at LAN, each stream will average aprox 501 kbps. 6 streams will average 3 Mbps.

  • Limit the number of concurrent users

Is it possible to limit the number of concurrent users for the application in Websphere or at the http management level?

You don't say what version of Websphere you are using, but here's how you might limit the number of sessions in Websphere 4.0 Advanced Edition (other versions may differ):
Open the Administrative Console. Go down the tree to Nodes, Application Servers and click on the server you want to control (likely Default Server). In the right panel, click on the Services tab. In that panel, click on the Session Manager Service and click the Properties button. That pops up a new dialog.
Select the Advanced tab here. Put a number in the Maximum in-memory Session Count field and uncheck the Allow Overflow checkbox. Click OK, etc, etc, and you'll probably have to restart Websphere.
I said "might" because I don't know if this will do what you want or not. Read the help file associated with that dialog and judge for yourself.

If you have any idea abt this, please let me know. I read bea documents, where
it says its due to insufficient number of connection. But I'm not very positive
abt it. Cause we conducted the test on our develeopement server as we had initial
5 connection and 15 as a max number of connection. We were only 4 person to test
that...Still we got the same err.......???

with weblogic. The issue is a DBMS deadlock, where one DBMS client has locked some
page or database resource (let's call it resource A), and is going to try to lock some other
resource B. Some other DBMS client has already locked resource B, and now wants
to lock resource A. These two DBMS clients are deadlocked, and the DBMS recognises this,
and chooses to kill one client's transaction in order to at least let the other survive.
You should go over your tranasaction logic and DBMS locking to identify the locks
involved in the deadlock, and then decide if you can alter your logic to ensure that
every transaction locks A first, then B. It may also be an artifact of page-level locking,
where one tx may inadvertantly lock logically unrelated data, just because it is on the
same page as the logically relevant stuff.

  • Max number of concurrent users?

I'm in the process of creating a web site with Cold Fusion and
Oracle. One concern involves the lack of web hosting services
that run Oracle on their servers. So, to get around this
problem, I was considering replicating an Oracle lite database
and putting it on an ISP's server. My thinking is that there
would be little need of DBA functions and I can run it on any
    server I choose. But ....
    1. Would Oracle 8i lite support a lot of concurrent users?
    2. What other factors would I have to consider if I set it up
    as a distributed DB ?
Any help on these thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
