Maximum Height of the TLN-iView

Hello,
we want to change the height of the TLN-iView,
but the changes in the properties don´t work.
In the portal we got the wrong height.
Do someone know, how we can change it to 80 or 150?

Hello,
I would like to have a bigger window when I work with the advanced paragraph in WPC in order to see better the content.
It´s ok if I see at the beginning the default size. However, I need the posibility to maximize the height of the window to a predefinded maximum height.
It´s maybe possible to give an extra property for like MaxHeight="500" in the xml-File?

Did you have success changing the paragraph height?
I'm with the same problem.
I had another idea to solve it. If I couldn't change the height, i'll create my own web form (based on article form), only with paragraph field.
I've tested this option and worked. But I prefer to use the standard web form.

To be honest with you, I think the problem here is Shilpa and the question itself (no search done).
I recommend being selective about questions answered and doing a quick check on the user's ability to search and doing "lazy closing" before answering.

I have imported the .der file of the portal in to the SAP ECC sytem.using STRUSTSSO2
Created the profile parameters using rz10 trnsaction.
login/create_sso2_ticket
login/accept_sso2_ticket
restarted the ECC system.

when i test the sytem object under connection test:showing the following error.

Please follow these steps and lemme know what you observe.
Go to system administration->support->sap application-> under test and configuration tools choose sap transaction
under the mandatory fields choose the system that you have created, choose a tcode (se16) and choose sap gui for windows and click go.
If you are able to logon to your ecc system, your sso works!
P.S Make sure the user name with which you are testing this, exists in the backend as well.

DTN-dynamic height of the navigation panel is not increasing

Hi All,
I'm having an issue in DTN panel.As the Dynamic Navigation Tree increases the visibility of links diminishes.
I tried increasing the height of DTN panel in theme editor but it is not helping the cause.
Ex:

   link2
   link3
Parent2
link1
link2
link3
Parent3
link1
link2
In the above example when all the "parents" are expanded then the links under Parent3 are not properly visible.
Please help me out in this issue.

Was the custom detailed level navigation working earlier in terms of the expected height adjustment with clear visibility of child nodes?
If not, suggest you to see if following things might work for you.
1. Revert the Height property changes on custom DLN and make them similar to the Standard DLN.
2. Verify the Custom DLN CSS used. Because it's the CSS that would be majorly controlling the styling and visualization of the UI elements on the DLN iView. And this should be place to see why the child nodes are shown in diminished size when parent nodes are expanded.

Automatic Height Type on Portal Iviews

   We are developing a new look and feel for the company enterprise portal and we are facing a problem regarding automatic height off the content area and respective IViews.
Our Portal page should automatic adjust to the current page content. To achiev this we are using automatic height on Innerpage Page and respective Iviews.
          The problem is on almost every Portal IView the height value of the contentarea is incorrect. For example the KM Navigation IView shows up with 50px making it impossible to work with.
This problem seems to only happen when there are a iframes inside the content area iframe.
The height value returns a wrong value probably because it does not know the respective iframes height values:
Take this example:
Content Area Iframe
div with 20px
div with 40px
iframe
The result would be similar to a content area iframe of height 61px or so.
I suspect the error is in one of the following javascript's.
    - application pagebuilder - pagesupport.js    pagesupport.getHeight
    - application contentarea - workarea.js          workarea.resize
We are on 7.0.1 SP08
P.S The domains of all iframes are the same as they are all PRT IViews

We also faced same issue last year. In our cases, all iviews were custom PRT iviews so We used embedded iview option to get rid of iframe and hight issue. using embedded over iframe gave us performance improvment as well during our load test.

Collapse the Masthead iview - recalculation innerpage frame

Dear all
we implemented an coding to collapse the Masthead iview by clicking a icon in the page toolbar iview. The remove of the masthead iview works as expected.
Now , the innerpage will be enlarged, but a recalculation of the frame on the bottom seems to be needed. The bottom half of an report will be cut off. We tried to adapt the height setting of the iview and the inneriview (FIX, Fullpage, automatic). Unfortunately, without successes.
Can someone provide an suitable how to guide or only the java script function?

I dont know why you miss the toolarea iview. But to bring it back, you can upload com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.par which is found under
\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea\private\lib.
You can upload from sap ide and create a iview out of it and finally add it to the default framework page. This should work fine.

A problem with the height of the sidebars on my website

I am trying to make a website for one of my modules in college and I have come across a little problem.

The left hand sidebar doesn't extend down to the footer (the same would happen to the right hand sidebar if the text wasn't there). I have tried to set the height of the sidebar to 100% and it didn't change the height at all.
I can't really have the sidebars at a set pixel height because there will be different amount information on different pages.
I was told of a way to do it by having the height defined in the <html> tag, but that casues some validation errors and I want to try get my website as html valid as I can.
Does anyone know of a way that can help me?

How to edit a copy of the masthead iView

Hi,
I downloaded a copy of the masthead iView (com.sap.portal.masthead) in NW studio and I want to change the .jsp files by swapping the logo and the welcome text (shoud go to the right instead of left).
This is very easy to change in the JSP file, but somehow my NW studio doesn't allow me to make changes to the file.
How can I edit the import (from par) project?

Did you download the com.sap.portal.masthead.par.bak file from this location.
System Administration >Support>Portal Runtime-->Browse deployment >WEB-INF>deployment>temp>com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak
Import this file into NDS and it is advisable to change the sap to your company.

How to change the width and height of the visible part of the of the report

I have define a report with paper size 'Letter', orientation 'landscape' and 30 columns. Dynamically I am changing width of columns and suppressing many columns of the report.
Mostly using first 16-20 columns and others get suppressed.
Now problem is that when navigating the report thru crystal viewer, a huge blank spaces getting display on right of the report. When we take jump to some part of report thru navigation tree, the whole report gets shifted to left and only blank part is visible and it is required to scroll left.
Even printing is not working correctly.
Is there any way to change the width and height of the visible part of the report in the viewer thru .net classes? Setting the width and height of the report in Load event handler doesn't help.
Example: CrystalReportViewer1.Width = 200; - is not helping.
Is there any other solution?

Your suggestion 'reportDocument.PrintOptions.PaperSize=PaperSize.PaperLedger;' along with 'PaperOrientation' setting as follow works fine. I tried to switch between Landscape and Portrait depending on report width.
reportDocument.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Landscape;
But problem with crystal viewer remain as it is.

Error when trying to display a Webi report through the Folder iView

I am getting the following error when Im trying to display a Webi report through the SAP Portal. We have installed the SAP Integration Kit and are able to see the content of the Infoview. However when we click on a Webi report, we receive the following error:

Furthermore I'd like to see an example of the cms_name entry. The documentation states: In addition, specify the Application Parameter for each iView. For this property, enter cms_name=[cms] for the fully qualified server name., but I have doubts as to what format to use.

The report can be displayed from the java infoview, no doubt, so the report itself works.
But the report cannot be seen from the "SAP Infoview" (:/businessobjects/enterprise115/sap) which is the infoview, I reference from the Folder iView (through the system in the SAP portal). And since the SAP Portal Integration Kit seems very old - the Folder iView was created 12-08-2004 by Ingo Hilgefort - there might be an old version of the jar-files somewhere in the installation.
I guess I should check the version of the jar-files in WEB-INF/lib of our web application (Tomcat) folder, and see if they have been overwritten by the SAP Portal Integration Installation or are an older version of the files in Program FilesBusiness Objectscommon3.5javalib? And also check if somewhere in the .../sap installation there are some old jar-files?

ACD 30 Users: What is the height of the display w/o base? viewable height?

Apple does not list the display height or measurements without the base -
1. Can someone tell me what the size of the display is, including the the case/bezel, and
2, What is the viewable height of the screen?
I'm trying to determine how close in size my NEC 2090UXi is if I rotate it to use as a 'menus, palettes and mail' monitor in portrait mode next to an ACD 30.

Thanks. That's interesting, and surprising - it makes that the 'densest' monitor I've ever seen with regard to how tightly the pixels are stacked.
My 20" NEC LCD2090UXi 1600x1200 is, when rotated to portrait mode (i.e. 1200x1600)about 17.5" tall, vs. the ACD 30's 15" for the same 1600 pixels.
I suppose a 19" monitor in 1600x1200 would be a better choice for a 'portrait mode' 'partner' to the ACD30...
Though I don't yet know if I can rotate the second display anyway, when running it from my yet-to arrive re-flashed GeForce 7800GTX video card.

*This is my scenario :* How to Use the same iview for both KM End User and the KM Administrator but with different Context
Menu Options.
i followed these steps but im getting same context menu for both KM End User and the KM Administrator .
Assign the role Content Administrator to the user km_admin. This is needed so that km_admin can change
the presentation settings for the KM Folder u201EReports_kmFolder‟.
Now, login with user km_admin. Navigate to the Km Folder reports_kmFolder through Content Administration
-> Km Content. Click on Details link of the folder reports_kmFolder.
Go To Settings -> Presentation. Click on the tab u201ESettings for You‟-> Click on button u201ESelect Profile‟.
Select the radio button corresponding to u201Elayout Set‟, and choose u201EConsumerExplorer‟ from the dropdown.
Click u201EOK‟.
Select both the check boxes corresponding to Items Affected as shown above, and click u201ESave‟
Now, remove the u201ESuper Administrator‟ role from the user km_admin and login with this user.
How rto resolve this????

Hello Prasad,
Most likely the user km_admin still has system principal roles assigned, even though you removed the Super Admin role, you should check that this user doesn't have any other admin roles, otherwise it will be considered a System Principal user and will therefore still have access to all content. Try creating a new user with just read access to the content and you should see that it will not be able to make any changes etc.
