  • NO quote for some line items in a Bid Invitation

    Hello Experts,
We have implemented SRM 5.0/Bidding Engine.
For example, When we create bid invitation with 10 line items, and invited about 5 bidders to participate.
Please note each one of line item is having about 15 attributes which are all required. It is not an optional attribute.
If one of the bidder is not interested in bidding for about 3 line items and standard functionality is - the bidder will make submittied quantity field to zero, so it will be ignored for any further checks.
But this is functionality is not working in our production system.
Please help me to resolve this.
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay
I do not think it works the way you suggested.
If you make dynamic attr required, they will be required and making 'submitted quantity' as '0' will not change that.
Pl create a OSS message, if you feel strongly about it but I doubt you get a solution as it's not a bug.
Instead of using 'Required' field in Dynamic attributes, you may try to use BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to control the required checks.

  • Maximum Line items in Sales order/ Delivery/ Invoice

    Hi guru's
Maximum line items(SAP Standard) in the sales document/ Delivery Document / Invoice?
    Thanks and Regards
    Srinivas Kapuganti

    Dear Srinivas
Why you want in sale order and delivery to restrict the number of line items and it will have no impact.
For Billing, you can achieve this.  Go to IMG path -- Billing -> Billing Docs -> Country specific features --> Maintain Maximum Number of Billing Items.  There select your sales organization and maintain the number of line items to flow in your billing document.
    thanks

  • Maximum Line Items

    Dear Experts,
I have an issue,When I am running the daily consumption file through a note pad to SAP(As we have another system from where the datas are being derived) by a  Z report(developed),the error is showing maximum line items in FI has reached.
    The entry passed is :
    Consumption A/c Dr.
      To Raw Materials
Please revert back with an appropriate solution which will be highly appreciated and will be awarded with points.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Tthe limit for FI document is 999 (as line item number field is of length 3).  There are many ways you can address this depending on where you are comfortable; modifying the SAP program or the sending application.
    1.  If the sending application creates the file, then you can make the file from there in such a way that there are less than 999 items (both GL accounts combined).  So you will have multiple files generated from the source and these can be pulled in using the exisiting Z program.
    2. From the sending application itself, try and summarise the items based on a set of fields; say you can summarise entires based on material and date.
    3.  Modify the SAP program to break the file internally in the z program so that the number of line items are less than 999.
    4.  Do the summarisation in the Z program itself.
    Cheers.

  • Maximum Line items for Equipment BOM

    Dear Experts,
Is there a limit to the number of line items of components we can have in equipment BOM. I am not able to add anything above 999. It doesnt show any error, but doesnot save any value after 999. Please let me if there is a work around.
    Thanks,
    Boby

The BOM item node number STPO-STLKN is an 8 digit field therefore I would imagine that you could have a maximum of 99999999 items..
But you could use multi-level BOMs which would allow you to organise your components better.

  • Maximum Line items 999 exceeded

    Hi,
We have an SD document having more than 2150 line items, when it is releasing to Accounting, it is giving error message like Maximum Line itesm 999 exceeded.
I have searched SAP Notes 1353125, 1353827(MM side) 36353 (summarisation) and 511873 - it deletes Assignment number XACCIT-ZUONR.
Summarisation is not preferred for our client.
Can anyone sugget any SAP note that will solve my problem at an earliest please.
SAP note 511873 solve my problem or not?
    Our vesrion is SAP_APPL - 500.

    HI Madhu,

But it is possible to split the Accounting document. Some SAP notes are available.

  • To check maximum line items in P/o

    Dear friends,
I hv a p/o of 5000+ line items but while updating, the system is accepting only 999 items & not saving data more than this.
The p/o item number series starts with 1 so ideally the system should accept 99999 or atleast 9999 line items.
Can u pls advise where to check these settings and how to amend it ?
    Thank you
    Prashant Bijutkar

    Dear Prashant,
Ideally it will update only 333 as because once you do the GR for the corresponding PO accounting document is restricted upto 999
for everyline in accounting document it creates 3 line items in accounting as below.
    Dr : stk
    Cr : POR
    CR: PO Var
Because of this you can update only 333 line. If you want to increase the number of lines then you have to amend the Standard SAP table for which SAP won't support.
Solution : Create multiple PO's breaking the number of line items to 333.
    Hope this helps.

  • Maximum line items at MI10

    Hi Experts,
    I am using call transaction/BDC of t-code MI10.
Can any one please tell me what is the maximum number of materials/items I can post at once using t-code MI10?
    Thanks in advance.

333, because each inventory posting can create 3 accounting lines, and the accounting document in FI has a field length of 3 digits, hence it can only take 999 items. so the inventory is limited to 333.

  • Maximum Line Items Reached In FI-  OBCY - Can the config be reversed

    Hello,
When processing a sales order with abt 315 items, we received an error message "Maximum number of items in FI reached". As per the SAP Note 36353, we are planning to implement FI Summarization in transaction OBCY.But we are not sure if this will work or not. Could somebody please tell me If the summarization is activated, and the solution doesnt work, can it be undone? Will there be any impact in production if we undo the changes.wWll there be any negative impact, (eg invoice creation), when reverted.
    Request imputs on this.
    Regards,
    Lavanya

    Dear Lavanya,
I don't see any particular problem in doing the summarization. There is, obviously, the side effect that You will lose the information for the fields that You will insert into the TTYPV table.
Please read the point 2 that is very clear:
    2.  If there are items which are the same in all same account
        assignments:
Make the following entry in the TTYPV table (transaction OBCY):
        Table   Field name
As a consequence, items which are the same in all fields except
value fields are totaled, that is, they are combined into a single
        item.
    I hope this helps.

  • PO from Bid Invitation Contains Faulty account assignment

    Hi All-
We are working on SRM 5.0 Extended Classic Scenario SP6. Currently we are facing the following issue:
    Process Steps:
1.) Create a Shopping cart with one line item and account assignment.
2.) Shopping cart goes to the sourcing cockpit
3.) The Buyer adds a new Line item to the Bid Invitation and publishes it
4.) Vendor Quotation comes in and Buyer Accepts it
5.) Buyer tries to create a PO out of the accepted Bid.
6.) PO Checked - No Error Found and the PO is ordered.
7.) In the PO transfer to R/3, the following errors occur
<b>a.) " Purchase Order Item 0002 still contains fault ac assignments"
    b.) " Purchase Order 820000XX : Enter Commodity Code"</b>
These Errors can be found in RZ20 as a backend application error in the Purchase Order section.
Has anyone faced a similar problem, if yes, do you know what the fix or OSS Note is? Or is there something that i am missing?
    Please throw some light !
    Thanks,
    Sundeep

    Hi Sundeep,
This problem looks to be a program error. SAP suggest few notes for the account assignment errors. However i could not found out any relation for this error w.r.t commodity code.
The related OSS notes are as under :
<b>Note 1000184 - Account assignment error when document transfer to back end</b>
<b>Note 966323 - Service Item: Not able to create PO in ERP backend</b>
The note 1000184 is more relavent in your case and other related notes are mentioned in that note which may resolve your issue.
Hope this note will definitely come to your help.
Please let us know the outcome for further help.

  • Buffer Table Not Up To Date Short Dump When Publishing Change Version of Bid Invitation

    Hi experts,
We are running SRM 5.5 with Support Level 16.
We have a bid invitation for which a user is trying to publish a Change Version. This bid contains two bid outlines, with one line item in each bid outline:
    ITEM 1: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 2: Line Item
    ITEM 3: HIER (Bid Outline)
    ITEM 4: Line Item
However, upon clicking on the Check or Publish button, the system throws a CX_BBP_PD_ABORT exception short dump. The reason for the exception given in ST22 is "Buffer table not up to date".
Due to organisational system security restrictions, I am unable to copy-paste the dump from ST22, so I will be typing out some of the details here.
    Transaction: BBP_BID_INV
    Program: SAPLBBP_PDH
    Screen: SAPLBBP_BID_INV_1000
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLBBP_PDH" - in "BBP_PD_ABORT". The main program was "SAPLBBP_BID_INV".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 73.

The ABORT subroutine is being called in Step 22 (ITMADM_UPDATE), at the following line:
    * parent guids have to be identical ...
    if gt_itmadm-parent <> w_itmadm-parent.
      perform abort.
    endif.
Upon tracing the variable values in the ST22 dump, it appears the program terminates when processing line 3 (i.e. the second Bid Outline). It appears that the first Bid Outline processes fine.
In the iteration for Line 3, the dump provides that gt_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the Change Version document header, whereas w_itmadm-parent contains the GUID to the original Bid Invitation document header, resulting in a mismatch and subsequently program termination.
We have tried to replicate this bid invitation in our Development environment, but when executing, both gt_itmadm-parent and w_itmadm-parent contain GUIDs to the Change Version document header, hence the program does not abort.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi Janu,
For Note 1561750, I have looked at the Correction Details and observed that it makes changes to an IF-ELSE block, but will result in the same path of code execution as before. I.e., the Note changes the code from "IF a THEN b, ELSE c" to just "c", but according to my code trace, we are already executing the "ELSE c" block in its current state.
We will look further into Note 1877600. The unfortunate situation here is that since we are unable to replicate this issue in our Development/QA environment, and the Note description does not explicitly fit the situation we are facing, we need to be very sure that the Note can address the issue before bringing it into Production.
Otherwise, we will raise a message as suggested.
Thank you so much for your help!
    Best regards,
    Kwong How
