Maximum Nr of Roles in a SAP ECC 6.0 System

Hi,
How many roles maximum could be assigned to one user in a SAP ECC 6.0 System?
In case some single roles are assigned several times to the same user ( because one single role belongs to the several composite roles) ..then will be this role count only 1 time?
Thanks,
FedeX

> can I find this note in SDN?
Notes are to be found in the SAP service marketplace.
> the secoond part of my question would interest to me..
> if the profile appears 2 times...it will count as 1 or as 2.
If the role appears twice in the user master record and PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY runs regularly the profile should appear (and count) only once.

  • Required infrastructure to enable web service calls in SAP ECC 6.0 system

    Hi Friends,
I'm working on XI, more on part of webservices and as I dont have a good knowledge on BASIS part, I would like to know the steps required to enable the webservice calls in SAP ECC 6.0.
    Blogs/documents could be helpful.
    Thanks in advance.

You will have to create a receiver  communication channel of type RFC adapter to connect to your ECC from XI .
u will have to enter the details of your ECC box like
    application Server
    system number
    in the communication channel.
You will also have to create a user in the ECC which you will use in the RFC communication channel to connect.
YOu will also have to create Business System in your SLD  corressponding to the ECC .

    1.3. Transaction Profile Check
The following tables show the response times and the number of dialog steps for the transactions that cause the highest workload in your system. NOTE: A business transaction normally consists of more than one dialog step. As a rough estimate, the actual number of business transactions that are executed in your system is approximately one third of the total dialog steps shown. (Transaction CPIC/RFC is not taken into account.)

  • Loadind transaction data from SAP ECC 6.0 system failed

    Hi!
I have SAP ECC 6.0 IDES system with the following clients:
    100 DEV client
200 BI client of SAP 6.0
Now I would like to load the transaction data from InfoSources 0FI_AR_6 and 0FI_AR_4 from SAP ECC client 100.
The extraction process has been frozen in status "yellow" and after a while changed the status to "red" with the following information
Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
    Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
    System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
    Further analysis:
    Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
    Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
The users BWREMOTE and ALEREMOTE seems to be ok and have the suitable authorization.
The tcode SM58 does not show any entries.
The tcode BD87 shows that the IDocs was sent (source system) and has been received on target system.
    Question:
How can I solve my problem?  Please give me some technical information (tcode, report).
    Thank you very much!
    regards

  • OS Migration of SAP ECC 6.0 system and SID needs to be changed.

    Hi Folks ,
                   I need a small help ,
here i need to migrate SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 7 from SUSE Linux to AIX and SID is also going to change from ABC to XYZ
so what is the proposed plan for it
                   1. we have to built the target system first ... and go with the import or
                   2. after export and import we have to go for SID change ...

    Hi  Reagan ,
In homogeneous system copy its possible , its possible to change SID when you are importing but is it possible for heterogeneous copy to change the SID
here the file system is built with target SID (eg : usr/sap/XYZ , sapmnt/XYZ , oracle/XYZ)
or we have to create the symlinks like oracle/ABC-->oracele/XYZ and then we have to delete the symlinks and change the SID

  • Loadind data from SAP ECC 6.0 system

    Hi!
I am about to implement SAP Best Practices scenario "B34: Accounts Receivable Analysis".
Therefore I load the data from SAP ERP IDES system into SAP NetWeaver 2004s system.
    My problems are:
when I try to load the transaction data for Infosources 0FI_AR_4 and 0FI_AR_6 from SAP ERP system the following happens:
the status is getting u201Cyellowu201D (194 from 0 records)
at the next day the status is getting u201Credu201D and I received the following error:
Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI

No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
    System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.

    Comment:
I did not find any entries on "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system"
The Source system connection EC6CLNT100 is OK
Can some one help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    regards

    Jgen,
check the t-code BD87 in BW and see if there is any IDOC pending...try to manually execute them.
Its a connection issues as the IDOC's are not getting exchanged between the system.
may be you are running out of processes and your job is just waiting.
check the partner files as well in WE20 and see if everything is OK.
take the help of your SAP basis team as well.
Also check whether user ALEREMOTE exists in the source system in R/3 and give him all the authorization.
check if the authorization objects like S_RFC and B_ALE_REC are assigned to its role.
Also check if the authorization profile is S_BI-WX_RFC.
check this thread and check the ALEREMOTE part.

  • SAP EarlyWatch Alert in SAP ECC and SAP PI

    Hi Experts,
Every week in SAP EarlyWatch Alert report in PI as well as SAP ECC, shows PI consuming highest resource in SAP ECC by the SAPMHTTP.
    Example as below:
    Initial System
    Initial Action
    Total Resp. Time in s
    % of RFC Load
    Avg. Response Time
    Avg. CPU Time
    Avg. DB Time
    Avg. Roll Wait Time
    PI
    SAPMHTTP
    200.261
    15,00
    600,3
    70,4
    165,4
    1,5
The total response time in SAP ECC by PI system is 200261 secs.
I have checked the interfaces which connects SAP ECC with RFC and calculated the processing time for all messages in PI. But that time is much less than the above total response time.
Can you please help me understand how to validate this with the messages that are getting processed through PI using RFC?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hello Pascal,
No There is no possibility to get the Diaglog response time and the number of users as similar to a ABAP EWA report in a JAVA EWA report.
This is because of the fact that the checks for both these system types are different.

  • Problem with Sproxy transaction  in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi,
I executed SPROXY transaction in SAP  ECC 6.0 system, some objects of XI/PI repository are listed, some are not listed.
    Why?
How can i achieve to be listed all XI/PI objects?
    Thanks.

Objects are listed belonging to the Software component ECC 6.0 only as you are viewing from ECC server ( makes sense?)
This link exist in SLD where Product and software components are listed.
Now if you have created a third party software component ABC and wants the objects from here also to be listed in ECC then you can go to ECC in SLD and make the Software component ECC 6.0 dependent on ABC.

  • To implement SAP HCM module in existing SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi,
I have SAP ECC 6.0 system already implemented 2 years back.
I am planning to implement SAP HCM with OM, PA, SAP Time management, SAP PAYROLL in existing SAP ECC 6.0 system.
I have currently 3 system landscape for SAP ECC.
I would like to know what change/addition is required in above landscape to implement SAP HCM module in existing SAP ECC 6.0
    Do share your view.
    Regards.

    Hi.
As per you, Already designed Landscape. Why dont you follow you existing Landscape which is alredy proved for other modules.
    Normally Dev/Quality/Production clients will there..
If more that depends upon flexibility in Each client and defining different business for testing and production interfaces purpose.
Better use Existing only remaining modules already sucessfully running in Production Right????

  • Security Parameter Problem in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi eveyone,
We have just activated the profile parameters written below in our new
    SAP ECC 6.0 system.
    login/min_password_lng = 6
    login/min_password_digits = 1
    login/min_password_letters = 1
    login/fails_to_user_lock = 10
    login/fails_to_session_end = 5
    login/password_expiration_time = 90
We have tried to logon the system as DDIC, the system wanted a new
password. We have changed the password many times more than 5 times.
But when we try to give the old password, it still says that "The
password must be different from your last 5 passwords".
The problem goes on, even you inactivate the parameters in the profile
    and restart the SAP.
How can we solve this problem?

    Hi everyone,
I want active the profile parameter login/min_password_digits = 1 and
login/min_password_letters = 1 by RZ10. The system give the message:
E login/min_password_digits is not identified identically on all servers.
I changed this parameter on all servers but this message was always there.
Is it OK after restart system?
    Best regards
