Maximum Number Of Activations?

I have been listening to a lot of cell phone podcasts and have been reading a number of blogs regarding cell phones in preperation for my upgrade.  I hear a lot of people who sound like they switch between several phones depending upon their business needs or whims.  I'm wondering if one of the VZW people on this board would tell me is there any limit ot the maximum number of times a person could switch between phones?  Also, how would it affect my plan/billing if I switched from a 3G/4G device to a Blackberry and back?

Normally switching between phones as needed will not have an adverse affect (or is it effect) However, switching between a BB and a 4G phone MAY cause proration issues as the data plan, although they cost the same, are two different types.

    To set the maximum number of services per user, use the ssg maxservice command in global configuration mode. To reset the maximum number of services per user to the default, use the no form of this command. ssg maxservice number and no ssg maxservice

  • Maximum number of active layers in EXS24

    Hi,
    I have an instrument in which I've loaded a dozen long (4 minute) samples, all on the same key, with velocity layering turned off. 'pitch' is also turned off for all these samples -- I am trying to get them to play back simultaneously and for their full duration.
    When playing the key that the samples are mapped to, the voices 'used' indicators goes to 6, and six of the samples play back together. The other 10 are ignored (not heard). No matter how high the (max) number of voices is set, the actual number of voices is cut off at 6.
    I was unable to find anything in the manual or in another post in this newsgroup about an effective maximum on the number of active voices in EXS24. Anyone know whether / how this can be controlled?

    Hi Luddy,
    Hm, I overlooked the word 'single' in your question. It makes sort of sense that six is the maximum. In 'conventional' musical circumstances it is enough. It could also be that because they are so long, somehow EXS memory will only allow six. How many can you layer with short ("normal") samples?
    There is also a feature in Logic to trigger regions with one MIDI-note. It is called Touch Tracks. See p. 908-910 of the Manual.

    How many active data ADF faces components (ADS configured in long polling transport mode) can we have on a page? Is there any restriction (eg: one factor could be max number of concurrent HTTP connections) ?

    Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone.  If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts).  To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account.  Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device.  Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your mobile device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another device or computer.
    You should however be able to add existing accounts to your device, are you sure you aren't trying to create on rather than simply use an existing one.

    You can't delete an account, you can only stop using it.  If you're getting that error message you won't be able to create a new account on your device.  Your only options are to re-use one of the accounts previously created, or create a new account on a different iOS device or Mac (running OS X Lion or higher), if you have one.

  • I changed my AppleID/Password and now am locked out of iCloud. iCloud says maximum number of free accounts have been activated. tried Settings, Mail etc but iCloud does not appear. I was going to delete it and start again.

    I tried to log in to iCloud but a message appears telling me I "can't sign in because my account was disabled for security reasons....reset password at iforgot.apple.com". I don't know why this happened.
    I reset both my Apple ID and password.
    When I tap Settings iCloud is listed on the left side between General and Mail, Contacts etc.
    Tapping iCloud brings up a log in screen for iCloud which shows my old Apple ID and requests the password. If I put the password in I get the message as above.
    If I use the new Apple ID/Password I get the message "the maximum number of free accounts have been activated....
    In settings there is no option to "Delete Account"
    Any suggestions??

    Tell your brother to do the following.  He will need your Apple ID and password to create your account.
    Open his "my photo stream" album on his phone and save any photos he wants to keep to his camera roll by tapping Edit, taping all the photos, taping Share, then tapping Save to Camera Roll.
    When finished, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted.  This will only delete his account and the data he is syncing with iCloud from his phone, but not from iCloud.  His data will be synced back to his phone when he signs back in at step 5.
    In Settings>iCloud, sign back in with your Apple ID and password to create your new account.  Do not turn on any iCloud data syncing (i.e., keep everything turned to Off in Settings>iCloud).
    In Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account.  If prompted, choose Delete from My iPhone.
    In Settings>iCloud, sign back in with his original iCloud ID and password and turn his iCloud data syncing back to On.  This will sync his iCloud data back to his phone.
    His phone should now be back to where he started, except that it's likely that not all his photo stream photos will be in his my photo stream album (which is why he saved them to his camera roll at the beginning).
    You can now go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and sign in with your Apple ID to use the new account he created for you on his phone.

    This is seriously annoying, I've been going around in circles trying to get my music onto my bloody iPod. I can't sync because it pauses @ Step 4: Waiting for changes to be applied error for ios7 devices. So my only option is to use iTunes Match and pay 40 bucks for it, but I think for iTunes match, you also need an iCloud account. Well I can't! Because when I go to sign into my iCloud using my Apple ID, it pops up with this error: The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPod touch.
    I'm about to give up and kill every one of Apple's employees.
    I'm ready and open to everyones strategy at getting this fixed, thanks in advance.

    So I go to make a new Apple ID, then go to my newly downloaded iCloud Control Panel for PC, and it says that this is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud ID. I figured the only way to make an iCloud ID is to make an account on my iPod... BACK TO THE START! I can't because it gives me an error after I have created my account saying: "This device is no longer eligible for creating a free iCloud account"

    We're using a number of iPad Minis in a lab environment to train students and volunteers.
    We're receiving the message "The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad" after three accounts have been created on an iPad.  Since we have a new group of students every 4 to 8 weeks, we need to find a way to allow free accounts, and we don't want to require students to provide credit cards.
    We've looked at the work around to go to iTunes, Quick Links and Redeem, but that's a little messy for hundreds of students a month.
    Is there a way to remove the association between the free accounts and the iPad serial number?
    A couple of notes:
    1. We can set them up under AppleID.apple.com, but as soon as we try to load a Free app (all the apps we use are free), it prompts for a credit card number and won't let them continue.
    2. There is not a "None" option on the credit cards, as least for the apps we're using.  Is this option app specific, or is this a feature that comes and goes, based on Apple's changing policies?
    3. The iPads are in DEP and are managed via Maas 360

    Why do the students need an account? Are they downloading apps?
    You should be downloading apps by Mass 360. That means apps will be owned by mass 360 not individual student ids.
    You may be in a bit of trouble.  You need to get the students to go into there apple id and detach the ipads.  Oh, well. Contact apple.
    Somehow you are not on the golden path.  Not sure how to advise you to get on it.  I'm not sure how you get rid of the current apple ids.

    You were trying to create a new Apple ID for icloud.  But once the device reaches is max allowed to create IDs then you can't create more.  That's your situation now.  To create a new account you must use another device or computer.
    You can't deactivate or turn back the clock.
