Maximum number of CAT3560's that can be connected

What is the maximum number of Cat 3560 switches that can be connected together. Using all Fiber ports the max number would be 5, does this series of switch have a design limitation on how many can be connected together?

you could theoretically connect a switch to every port of the 3560.
this may not be best design for STP and broadcast domain purposes but would be possible. (depending on what you're trying to accomplish)
do you mean how many max daisy-chained one after the other??

  • What's the maximum number of Apple TVs that can be displayed in the AirPlay list?

We have 50 conference rooms all on the same network and are considering equiping each one with an Apple TV for AirPlay Mirroring our iPad 2s to the rooms projector, or TV. What is the maximum number of Apple TVs that can be displayed in the AirPlay menu to select the correct Apple TV for the conference room being used?

From what you're saying it sounds as though you wouldn't want to Airplay to all AppleTVs at once, just identify them when that specific room in use?
This is one of those uncharted territories wheer most domestic users will not require such a set up - Apple provide no official info about this, but they'd be your best source to ask.

  • Maximum number of 10 users that can connect and share?

I discovered today that Leopard seems to limit the number of users that can access a shared folder to 10! Can this really be true? This will make my lab kind of useless if only half of the computers can log on to the shared folder and access their files.
Is there some setting I am missing to correct this?
20 imacs connect to my MacPro's shared folder to read/write.

Is there some setting I am missing to correct this?
Yes, money; $999.00 to be exact. As was stated the client version of OS X has a 10 user limit. To get more capacity you will need to buy and install OS X Server version.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB605Z/A?mco=MTIxODk3Mw
OS X Server with a 10-client license is $499.00 but you already said you had 20 Macs so you need the unlimited client version.

  • Number of USB devices that can be connected

    Hi,
On my MacBook Pro (just before the unibody and all USB ports on the same side), I have connected:
1- on the left USB port a 1 TB external HD
2- on the right USB a USB hub with 4 ports:
2-1- a 320 GB HD used for TimeMachine
    2-2- a DVD drive
    2-3- a printer
    2-4- a mighty mouse
Sometimes the Mac doesn't detect the RIGHT side group, I have to disconnect and reconnect the hub up to three times to get my devices recognized by OS X: is this normal? is there a maximum of devices a MacBook Pro can handle?
    Thanks
Replaced left by right of course, thanks Limnos

    HI,
    Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the SMC
If that doesn't help either, run the Apple Hardware Test just in case.

  • Maximum number of concurrent users that can connect to a SQL DB

I see various SQL DB plan S0, S1, S2 and P1, P2 and P3.  Each one of them talk about DTU's but never talk about the max number of concurrent users.  Where can I find that number and is it configurable by the end user?

It is the maximum connection that is most important. Best practice is not to have users holding on to their connection for long period of time. Maximum user connection in SQL is 32767, resource permitting. Not sure for Azure SQL. If you follow best
practice, you are not supposed to hit this limit cause other limits will be hit first.

  • What is the maximum number of user accounts that can be logged in at once?

How many users can be logged in at once, using Fast User Switching (FUS)?
Ideally, I'd like an "official" answer from Apple, or if someone can refer me to "official" Apple documentation that answers this question, that would be fine.
I think the answer is 10 but need to know for sure.
    Thanks in advance!
      Mac OS X (10.4.9)

You may be right about CLI vs GUI differences...
Call me a geek - but I wanted to see what would happen when my system hit the limit. So I saved all open documents, used a loop to create 40 passwordless accounts, then set up a login item so that on login, FUS would be invoked to log in to the next sequential uid.
When I came back (some time later), the system was logged in to the 40th user, and with a few exceptions, things seemed to be working ok...
The most obvious problem was that SystemUIServer was crashed in most of the users. I'm not sure when that started, but at some point after so many logins, it wasn't possible to launch the SystemUIServer, meaning no FUS menu (among other things). Other programmes launched and worked ok, though a bit sluggish (I had 7 swap files at that point, where it is rare for me to have more than two). But "Terminal.app" worked fine, and FUS was possible via command line so that wasn't a big problem, and the few other accounts I switched over to check were in a similar state.
The "Accounts" pref pane seems to be limited to showing 42 accounts (I had several accounts prior to creating the 40 test accounts), but the FUS menu (viewed from an account where SystemUIServer hadn't crashed) showed them all. I forgot to check the "Login Window".
Of course, there may be other things that don't work under these conditions that I didn't stumble across, but depending on whether or not SystemUIServer is required, and probably load and RAM availability, it looks like it is possible to squeeze at least 40 logins at once on a system.
And again, this obviously isn't "official" in any way.

  • The maximum number of PDF documents that can be simultaneous openned in the browser has been exceede

I'm currently build a WinForms application that uses the built-in webbrowser to view PDF files. However, I just started getting this message. I saw someone's post but in was in the archive section and looks like it was never resolved. So I'm asking for Adobe's help if they're on here to put up a FAQ somewhere describing this error.
    I'm currently on Reader 8.1.2.
    Jeff

First, no one is addressing Adobe here. This is a User 2 User forum. I'm
not sure this is really a Reader issue as opposed to a Microsoft issue.
Microsoft applications have a habbit of holding onto documents until the
application is closed. Since you are most likely using MSIE, it is
probably still holding onto the document via the reader plug-in until it
    quits.
However, if you wish to log it as a Reader bug, here is the appropriate
    link:

I seem to have added one too many entries and now it does not filter any new "junk" entries.
I have deleted some of the new entries and added them again, only to find they are not filtered.

  • Maximum Number Of Records Import Manager can handle.

    Hi Guys,
I want to know the maximum number of records Import Manager can import / handle at a time.
    Thanks in advance .
    Best Regards,
    Ramchandra Kalkar.

    Amol,
The reference guide lists the limit at 50,000 records.
My experience is that this is not necessarily the case. To me it seems as though the maximum import depends somewhat on the number of fields you are trying to import. Meaning you can probably import 50,000 records if the file only contains two columns/fields, but if the file contains many columns/fields you probably will encounter difficulty trying to import 50,000 records at a time.

  • Is there any limit on number of firefox profiles that can be created?

Is there any limit in the number of firefox profiles that can be created?
    My issue is
I am currently doing selenium webdriver automation in linux for a device. There are 50 devices of same kind and framework will pickup a device depending on availability. I need to by pass unsigned ssl pages. I am using firefox 14.
I have implemented following but it is not consistent.
    everytime a device is chosen
adds cer of device to the cert file in firefox profile
but I am getting sec_error_bad_signature very frequently.
So I started recreating cert [delete and create if by opening firefox] file for every run.
Now this is posing a problem if multiple devices are run at the same time. Hence I want to create separate firefox profile

Not that I have ever found. And at one time I had over 60 Profiles, but after I hit 20 Profiles listed in the profiles.ini file the launch time for Firefox became noticeably longer on WinXP. With remote Profiles, not listed in the profiles.ini file and launched strictly from command line there was no impact on launch time.
How or if that relates to Mac OSX is beyond my knowledge, never owned used a Mac.

  • HT3702 Is there any limit to the number of itunes account that can be linked to the one credit card?

Hi.  Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of itunes accounts that can be linked to the one credit card?
    Thanks,

    Craig,
It was image.cpp line 2770.  I am told (by another person in the company that has seen this) that it has been seen on several machines, always PXI controllers, but not on all PXI controllers.  I am told that it is not always image.cpp that reports the error, but for me it was always the same line of code identified by the error message.  I did not have a chance to do any experimenting to find a particular threshold number of mnu files.  I may be able to find error logs.  I currently sent the controller to our IT department, doing a windows XP repair, just in case there was something corrupted in the system itself.
The error was reproducible.  This installation at one time must have included real-time / FPGA, because on the opening screen I ge the drop-down ring for selecting a target.  If I click on this drop down ring, I get the crash on line 2770, every time.  If, instead I open an empty new VI, I am able to switch to the block diagram by selecting the window directly with the mouse, but if I try to pull down on the "window" menu to do "show block diagram", I get the crash on line 2770, every time.  Because the user-defined mnu files are now deleted, I would have to create them again, or find a way to reinstall them, to reproduce the error at this point.

  • What is the maximum size of a jpg that can be imported into iPhoto?

what is the maximum size of a jpg that can be imported into iPhoto

I've imported and worked on Photoshop and tiff files up at 220 MB (8400 x 6600 pixels) in size.  It does take some time to do any edits, up to 7 seconds for some.   220 MB is a big file but iPhoto handles it OK.
I do have a top of the line iMac with SSD drive so it's pretty fast.  Other Macs may be slower depending on their configuration.

I would like to know the maximum length of a path that can be given in solaris? What do you mean by "given"? The maximum that you can pass to the OS directly in many cases is PATH_MAX. But you can have files exist that are described by much longer absolute paths.
e.g i have to create a directory like this
mkdir /a/b/c..../z ]---> what can be the max length ?Very long in some sense. But mkdir will probably fail if handed a string longer than PATH_MAX.

i heard something like getconf PATH_MAX .But i dont know what is this used for.
the value i got when i executed the above command is 1024 ]-->what is this value? That is the guaranteed limit for the length of a path that system calls will deal with. But it is possible the absolute path of a file may be larger.
