Maximum number of folders in cabinet

I am wondering if WebAccess has a maximum number of folders in the cabinet that it will display. I have a user that has 1113 folders in his cabinet but WebAccess will only display the first 940 folders. Seems to me there is a limit in WebAccess but I don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am not aware of any formal limit, but could these be rearranged? I mean
1000+ folders at a single level isn't that usable anyway without more
grouping.

    Hello,
I am interested to know if there is a limitation in the KM for folder creation or folder depth. Because I have read about a limitation of 1000 files in a folder.

  • What's the maximum number of folders you can create?

    Hi folks
I've just got my first iPod - (Nano 5th G, 16 Gb)- so I'n new on the block!
I'm thinking of buying a bird calls DVD designed for MP3 players. One of the requirements is the ability to create 99 folders.
Can this be done on my iPod?
I can't find info on this anywhere!
    I'd appreciate someone's help.

I'm thinking of buying a bird calls DVD designed for MP3 players. One of the requirements is the ability to create 99 folders.
Yes but depending on how the DVD works, it's likely won't work as intended on an iPod.
iPods use the iTunes database file to play songs.
Add the songs to iTunes then sync them to the iPod.
Adding folders to the iPod with files in them will not allow them to play on the iPod.
Most MP3 players simply use the folder structure on the player to play/display the songs.

  • Does Firefox Sync have a maximum number of folders limit for bookmarks, all are syncing to my other computer/mobile except for the last 5 folders

Have 2 computers, 1 mobile device
    1. Main computer: Personal laptop
    2. Secondary computer: Work
    3. Mobile Device: Android Phone
The Main Computer always has ~5 folders containing bookmarks which never appear on 2 or 3. An example of one of these folders would be 'cooking' which contains a few recipes i use.

How long have you being using Firefox Sync? Perhaps is taking some time to sync those specific folders. My suggestion is to keep the 2 computers on for an hour if you haven't being using Firefox Sync for a long time to make sure that you give enough time to the system.
If that doesn't work I will suggest to open a bug. Follow the instructions in this link:

That will be helpful for you and for other users that may be hitting the same problem you have.

  • RoboHelp 11-Maximum number of folder/topics

I currently have two very large user guides. They were created either RoboHelp 7 or earlier and have been upgraded to version 9 and now 11. Is there a maximum number of folders/topics a user guide should contain within RoboHelp? I need to add more and more information in the guide and am concerned the file is becoming too large. Any information you can provide is appreciated.
    Thank you.

I have never found the difference in opening one that is of any real significance. I'm curious about the output comment though, the generated output has no link whatever to the CPD so how could that affect the opening of the output?

  • Maximum number of songs for muvo tx

I thought it would be impossible, but i managed to fit probably close to 2 hours of music on my muvo tx fm 52 mb. However, My muvo tx fm will only play a certain number of songs... it just won't see the rest. (for example, i have 7 folders full of music. my muvo tx fm only sees 6 of them.. even then in the sixth folder the muvo tx fm will only play one song.) Because of this i rule out a maximum number of folders. Will the muvo tx fm only play a certain number of songs or only play so many hours of music? I am currently converting about 20 mb of my songs to wma, as all my songs save one are in the mp3 format, and i am seeing if having maybe half of my songs in another format would help. I'll also try upgrading the firmware to see if this may fix it. But if someone has an answer now, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I too am experiencing the same problem. I have a gig tx fm and the player will only recognize 50 folders. Anything beyond that is lost; however I can play the files thru WMP0 when the player is plugged in via usb. Furthermore, 3 or 4 of the 50 folders that are visible on the player just get skipped; the files contained in them won't play. These files aren't corrupt or anything, they too will play thru WMP0. I have tried the firmware update .3.03 which lists--[*]Displays recorded tracks accurately when the player contains more than 50 folders.</LI>
as one of the included fixes. This problem is really bugging me as I have maybe a handful of songs by a variety of different artists and would prefer to keep them in separate folders by artist. If, in fact, it is true that the MuVo will only support 50 folders my whole plan for music organization is out the window. Any ideas out there since last post?

  • Maximum number of restricted search folders in later versions of Exchange?

    Hi,
    This article:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc535025.aspx
    ...states that:
"In Exchange 2000 Server, Exchange Server 2003, and Exchange Server 2007, there are a maximum number of restricted search folders that are allowed on a per-folder basis. The default maximum number is 11, and the default lifetime for the search folder
    is 40 days."
    1) Does this apply to later versions of Exchange Server too?
    2) Can the default maximum be changed, to say 100? Is there a limit?
    Thanks,
    Mats

  • Maximum number of app folders

Can anyone tell me what is the maximum number of app folders one can have in the iphone?
    Thanks

You can create up to 11 Home screens and you can put up to 12 apps in a folder, you can create up to 16 folders per home screen.  You will of course be unable to move some of the preinstalled apps into folders so you should bear that in mind.

    Hi Memalyn
Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

  • Maximum number of files in a folder ?

Hello, what is the maximum number of files in a folder OS X can handle ?
I used a file recovery software called FileSalvage to save some files of an external 300GB with a corrupted disk directory (unable to repair with the usual repair/recovery programs).
FileSalvage recovered about 435,000 files and sorted them by extension in individual folders, unfortunately it does not recognize the file names and just sequentially names the files per extension.
The .jpeg, .gif and .html folders had up to 75,000 files. After recovery the external FW drives started to behave very strange, unresponsive, just hanging, time-out. I tried on a Mac Mini, iMac G5, an iBook and PowerBook, OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4.3, FW400/800 and USB 2.0 interface, they all had pretty much the same failure mode after a while.
Running Disk Utility on the drives with the recovered FileSalvage folders showed a corrupted directory (invalid file count) and unable to repair, although I could copy most of the folders of the disk (deleted the folders with more than 10,000 files per folder).
I suspect that File Salvage copies more files in a folder than OS X allows, causing unpredicable problems.
    Any ideas ?

From "Mac OS X: Mac OS Extended Format volume and file limits"
"Maximum number of files (or files and folders) in a folder … up to 2.1 billion"
According to a note in the document, the above is subject to the drive's size (maximum 16 terabytes in "Tiger") and block size, ie. the number of available blocks.
So it would appear that the number of files you mentioned would be well within theoretical limits, although I suppose there could be a bug in some other part of OS X. Otherwise, maybe there is a problem with the drive...

  • Maximum number of emails supported in a folder

    Hi Guys,
What is the maximum number of emails you can in one folder on iPhone 5S?
We have a user whose Exchange mailbox is around 16.5GB and he has about 93K items overall and around 20K in the sent items. Intermittently he loses emails from his Sent Items going back to March 2010. Then it takes days to re-sync the Sent Items folders. This happens on his iPhone 5S(iPhone6C2/1104.257) and iPad2C1, we use Exchange Activesync.
    Thanks

The theoretical limit is the NTFS volume limit. This is provided in the below article.
    NTFS Physical Structure
However the practical limit depends on your application and business scenario. You can read about FILESTREAM and FileTable internals and about performance considerations from the below excellent article

  • Maximum number of user mailboxes supported by single Exchange Database in 2007 / 2010 & 2013 ?

What is the Maximum number of user mailboxes supported by single Exchange Database  in 2007 / 2010 & 2013 ?
    Aditya Mediratta

Agree with Keith, there is no MB # limit, however there are practical concerns such as DB size and how that effects recoverability as well as performance.   In terms of extremes we had one major educational customer that had 35K Mailboxes in
a single database so you can utilize a ridiculous # of mailboxes in a DB if desired.  IMO you are better off to keep the # of mailboxes to a reasonable level, i.e. no more than 250-500 mailboxes per DB
Search, Recover, & Extract Mailboxes, Folders, & Email Items from Offline Exchange Mailbox and Public Folder EDB's and Live Exchange Servers or Import/Migrate direct from Offline EDB to Any Production Exchange Server, even cross version i.e. 2003 -->
    2007 --> 2010 --> 2013 with Lucid8's

  • Maximum number of emails

Hello there, i just had implemented a small program to send emails via Java mail, and i have a question:
    - What is the maximum number of e-mails that i can send once i run my servlet?
(I mean how many senders i can have in the same time)
    Thank you for any response,
    Regards Thomas

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Apologies for the delay in reply...hopefully you already have solved this, but just in case...
    Please refer to this KB:
KB10305 Unable to receive email messages from an associated IMAP email account
    Cause 7 may be useful!
I also tried searching for KBs that discuss mailbox size limits...yours is quite large, and may well exceed those limits. Unfortunately, my searching was not successful...but you may be more lucky:
    http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/microsite.do
If you can find no values for this, you might try reducing the total number of emails in that mailbox to see if you can discover what the limit is. GMail accounts are tricky as they technically use just one big mailbox and no folders or anything, but rather flags to identify sorting and segregation of messages...but technically they all are in one place, just displayed differently. Hence, having so many messages there may be the cause of your issues.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Maximum number of tags in OS 10

My spouse wants to tag about 5,000 photos which are stored in various named folders.  She does not want to use iPhoto.  She does use Photoshops Elements 12.
She is disinclined to learn how to use the Organizer and wants to simply apply tags to the images using the Finder.  Tags might be a place name or abstract or nature....
My question:  Is there a maximum number of custom tags that can be added to OS 10?  I'd like to know before she invests a bunch of time in the effort.
Also, are OS 10 tags part of meta data and perhaps available to other software?
    Thanks very much.

Could you please specify a bit more what you mean with "at a time"? I have dealt with DSC applications with up to 3000 tags that were logged simultaneously on one machine. Do you experience any performance problems with 200 tags?
The only way I could think of to run into problems with this amount of tags could be to specify a deadband of 0% for all the tags while all tags are changing their values rapidly. Otherwise 200 tags should be definitely no problem for LabVIEW DSC

  • What is the maximum number of 263 byte text files that can fit in a folder?

what is the maximum number of 263 byte text files that can fit in a folder - on a windows 2000 operating system?
I created a java program that creates these text files.
It was set to loop 30,000 times.
It created a total of 21874 html files before throwing a null exception.
I tried to copy and paste 10 more html files manually and it said not enough disk space.
however, I made a New Folder in that same folder and I was able to successfully paste the folders in
    there.
    That's interesting.
It appears there is a size limit in each folder, BUT I can make another folder within that and successfully paste more html files in there
Does anyone know the rules governing this feature.
    Stephen

Whatever the answer is, it has nothing to do with Java programming. Microsoft might know, though, and that's where you should look.
