Maximum Number of Sessions per User

I am using OAM 11.1.1.5.0 running on Solaris 10. When we change the "Maximum Number of Sessions per User" to 1 (per customer requirement), a user is restricted to having one active OAM session at a time (as expected). However, if the user does not explicitly log out (e.g. they just close their browser), they are unable to log back in to OAM until their existing OAM session times-out/expires. Given the above max sessions of 1 requirement, is it possible to config OAM to auto-kill the user's session and create a new one if they attempt to login before their initial OAM session times-out/expires? This was possible in Sun's Access Manager. Is it possible in Oracle's OAM? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi,

  • Limit the number of session per user in the Wired dot1x environment with ISE 1.2

    Hello,
I need to check if there is any configuration/workaround to limit the number of sessions/access per user in the Wired dot1x configuration.
I need to check if this feature is available or not to solve the following scenario:
I have 2 SW ports configured to use dot1x authentication with ISE 1.2 server.
If user A connects to the 1st port and authenticated then he will placed on a VLAN based on the authorization profile.
The case, that I need to deny the same user to connect on a different machine with the same credentials.
The ISE itself does not have this feature currently,  the only feature available is to limit the number of sessions for the guest user.
Is there any workaround on the Cisco switches to solve this? Cisco WLC has this feature and for the VPN we can limit the number of sessions also from the ASA itself.
    Thanks.

limit number of session per user using wired dot1x is not available in 1.3

  • How to change the maximum number of process per user in BW ?

    Hi,
Do you know how to change the maximum number of process allowed per user ?
With RSRT we can customize the number of process per query but I don't know where we can customize the maximum number of process per user.
In fact, my production environment reach always the max number of process available in SM50...
    Thanks a lot

  • Maximum Number of Devices per User

    Hello,
I've set the Maximum Devices Per User to 1 ... and some users can connect two devices to the Mobility system !!?

After you enable this setting, if users have existing devices they can
continue to use them but won't be able to add any more. Users who only
have one device currently shouldn't be able to add a second though.

  • Maximum Number of iPods per User Account?

I work in an educational environment and was investigating iPods and podcasts for teachers and students. Is there a maximum number of iPods that can connect to a single user account. i.e. One school account for 100+ iPods. Is there a maximum number of iPods that can be connected to a single library or user account in iTunes? Thanks.

I'm not sure why you would want to connect over 100 iPods to the one library. If you are expecting everyone to do this with their own iPod then you probably won't have that happening. They sync their iPods with their own libraries on their own computers. They would have to change the way they sync to do it manually in order to add items from another computer, which most won't want to do.
You mentioned podcasts. The way that usually works is that you post the podcast to a website. Everyone then downloads the podcast on their own computer using iTunes and then syncs on their own computer to their iPod.

  • Maximum number of role per user

    Hi all,
We are trying to give role for user more than 312. SAP allowing only 312 but we need to add more than that.
can anyone help us to resolve this issue?
we cant use reference user concept.
    thanks in advance

    Hi Mithun,
Yes we are using composite roles also. But the validation happening on profile level also.
as we know one role one profile. if we use composite role also, number profile reaches to 312 then its giving error.
we need to know if any workaround is there.
also we are adding role to user using some other non-SAP tool.
    Thanks,

  • Maximum number of processes a user can run

Is there a parameter that defines the maximum number of processes that a user can run?

    hi,
there are no maximum process per user. There is maximum session per user, by default, it is 6. But you can change it. But usually, SAP Go Live Check would suggest you to reduce it to 2 or 3.

  • No of Concurrent Sessions Per User  Mismatch with profile settings

    Hi
DB Version Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    OS RHES 5U2
I created a profile MYPROFILE and set the value of Concurrent Sessions (Per User) to 30. DB was bounced after creating the profile. I made this profile default for a particular user "MYUSER". I verified that by querying DBA_USERS (select profile from dba_users where username like 'MYUSER') I checked v$session with that particular user after sometime and noticed that it was showing 34 sessions. Some ACTIVE and some INACTIVE.
My question is, if I have set the maximum limit of concurrent sessions per user to 30 in myprofile and made this the default profile for MYUSER, then how come i am still able to see more than 34 sessions of myuser regardless of the status? I am not sure if this is relevant or not but the IDLE TIME is set to 15 minutes.
    Thank you for your help

Thank you for your helpDid you set the parameter resource_limit=true ? You must do it before you test sessions_per_user. You can do so like the following,
alter system set resource_limit=true;After this again try and post the feedback.

  • Maximum number of Sessions ever reached in the last two days

    DB version:11gR1
We are studying the number of sessions created by one of our JAVA oltp application. We would like to know the maximum number of sessions reached in the last two days.
I can see max_utilization column from the query
select * from v$resource_limit where resource_name='processes'But i don't know the time interval (no of days) on which this value is based upon.

    Hi,
One alternate option will be noting the value before you start the experiment using following statement.
    select value from v$sysstat where name = 'user calls';
And running this SQL after you are done with making calls. Then you can subtract the two values to get the users calls made between the two times. Keep in mind that this will include all calls made to the database.

  • SRM 5.00 web Maximum number of sessions reached

    hello
it seems a problem very simple anyway i don't know how to resolve it.
the error "Maximum number of sessions reached" occurs in the ITS of SRM 5.00 using the web.
It happens on all transactionsn anyway it works properly in abap gui but not in webgui.
If I go in all transactions and i try to open another mode the popup appears with the error descrpted.
the session with that user are very few ...anyway the number of sessions is smaller than the parameter limit set in rdisp/max_alt_modes
    Do you have any idea?
    thanks
    Nick

I do not understand what you mean by "all transactions" and "open another mode". Where do you open it? You can not open another mode from the SAP GUI for HTML (Webgui) itself, since this is not supported. You will need to start a new session.

  • Maximum number of sessions in the portal

    Hi,
Please, do you know the maximum number of sessions that a particular user can open in the portal 7 ?
and it´s posible to limit the number of sessions of a user
    thanks in advance.

    carlos,
you can set a maximum session limit for each web module. so, if you for example want to limit the number of sessions in your portal, you could do it for the Web Module "irj"
Use NWA and navigate to Configuration / Application Module
    check: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b9/665b42cfca5542e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

  • Maximum number of domains per physical server

I am curious as to whether or not there is a maximum number of domains per physical server. Is it just based on resources, i.e. memory, hdd space, etc. or does Oracle have it's own specific recommendations? I realize, as implied, that one could put a number of vm's on a server that would utilize the server ram up to an amount reserved for the OS.
Just wondering if there is a recommendation.
By the way, we are running WLS (10.0MP1) and OSB (3.0) on top of Win2K3.
    Thanks for nay info,
    Todd

Typically it depends on the resources.
If the WLS instances are heavily utilized, at some point having more JVM's than the number of cores impacts performance if the apps are CPU bound. Similar applies for apps that use a lot of memory or sessions. There is no blanket answer and there is no hard and fast limit.

  • Total rowsize for table exceeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060).

I am trying to Creat a UserDefined Field in Marketig document OPOR Table through the script. then the warning  "Total rowsize for table exceeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060). " is occuring ,and transcation rollback. how can i solve the problem.

You have three ways to deal with this:
    1) make you user field smaller.
    2) check all other UDF in that table, and if you find one that your not using, delte it.
    3) Somebody told me that SQL Server 2005 will not have this problem. Maybe you can migrate.

  • Changing Maximum Number of Rows Per Page to Include

I am trying to change the "Maximum Number of Rows Per Page to Include" using Enterprise Manager > Coreapplication > Capacity Management > Performance.
It was default to 75. I need to change it to around 5,000. I have a report which generates 5,000 records and I use Agent to send it to our user at a scheduled time.
I change 75 to 5000, activate the changes and restart the BI. After restarting it automatically reverts back to 75.
    Has anyone experienced this?

    Hi,
Editing in EM should change the settings. Stop all the services and restart
In the individual reports for tables and pivot tables >> Edit the table properties and add the number of 'Rows Per Page'
    Hope this helped/ answered
