Maximum number of slides to fit music?

After album for slideshow is created, title given, is there a limit on the number of pictures that will play in a slideshow. I have found that, i.e., if I have 62 photos, it would not sync with the music that I was trying to "fit" with the slideshow. What am I doing wrong? I picked a 54-minute song but the first slide just sat there. My only remedy was to split the show into two.

Oops - hadn't updated our computers in a while. G5 has been replaced with a iMac Snow Leopard with newest software.

I'm currently working in both flash and captivate and will be
building projects that are close and sometimes over a 100 slides. I
know there can be loading issues when the file size gets too big.
What is the best strategy to deal with this issue. I noticed that
captivate creates on swf file for the content of a project. Is
there a maximum file size (or number of slides) I need to keep an
eye out for when building training? Will I need to create separate
projects in captivate for each module I build in a course. Your

Hi brookevaughn and welcome to our community
As with anything, the true answer is "it depends". For
example, I've seen users report that they regularly produce
Captivate projects that consist of 120 or so slides and have no
issues. Then again, the flip side of that is that I've seen users
report nothing but trouble from a project consisting of only 30
slides.
I believe the automotive industry refers to this as "your
mileage may vary".
I think this varies because Captivate is so darn flexible
when it comes to what it allows you to record. For example, if you
record at perhaps a resolution of 640 x 480, you are a lot more
likely to be successful with longer projects than you would be if
recording at perhaps 1024 x 768. All that size translates to more
data to manipulate.
I typically recommend anywhere between 50-65 slides as a
"rule of thumb" for an upper limit.

To confirm there's no such limit on number of slides. You may add as many as you want. For example : Home I have added 18 slides you may add more as per your requirement.

I am required by policy to use an original PowerPoint file. The total number of slide equals 72 (file size 38,201 KB when completed). The internal customer wants a "kicky" presentation based on her slides, so I must use some of the Captivate tools (e.g. zoom area, highlight box -- about the limit of my skills). And there must be spoken narration, not the text to speech feature. Total time for the 72 slides is 22.5 minutes when all is done. When published the narration is good, but the "kicky" part fails. Specifically some highlight boxes do not appear on many slides.
I deleted the table-of-contents feature. The most unusual tools that I'm using are the certificate widget, and a page turning widget.
I tried breaking the presentation into two parts. Part 1 was 58 slides and I experienced the same behavior. I've not tried part two yet.
In the past, I practiced, on my computer, with the aggregator. Is this the best route? We have no experience hosting an aggregator project on our server. Are there any special concerns about doing so? (I'm not the person who does this. He is out of the office at this time). Would daisy-chaining be a better route? (if so, what is the best source for instruction to do this?)

Again, I did not see the elephant in the room. I neglected to notice a default setting. Once corrected, everything works. My bad.
But, I would still like to know what determines the maximum number of slides on can successfully publish without Aggregator or daisy-chaining.

What is the maximum number of photos allowed in an i photo 6 slide show???
In a previous version, it was 99, I believe. I can't find the answer in any documentation.

There never was a limit to the number of slides in an iPhoto slideshow. That 99 limit was for slideshow created in iDVD from imported stills. iDVD can not have more than 99 slides in any one slideshow that's created entirely in iDVD but at 99 the chapter number of the next slide (each slide is considered a chapter) reverts back to 1. It's a DVD standard issue, not an iDVD thing.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

what is the maximum number of 263 byte text files that can fit in a folder - on a windows 2000 operating system?
I created a java program that creates these text files.
It was set to loop 30,000 times.
It created a total of 21874 html files before throwing a null exception.
I tried to copy and paste 10 more html files manually and it said not enough disk space.
however, I made a New Folder in that same folder and I was able to successfully paste the folders in
there.
That's interesting.
It appears there is a size limit in each folder, BUT I can make another folder within that and successfully paste more html files in there
Does anyone know the rules governing this feature.

Whatever the answer is, it has nothing to do with Java programming. Microsoft might know, though, and that's where you should look.

Maximum number of songs for muvo tx

I thought it would be impossible, but i managed to fit probably close to 2 hours of music on my muvo tx fm 52 mb. However, My muvo tx fm will only play a certain number of songs... it just won't see the rest. (for example, i have 7 folders full of music. my muvo tx fm only sees 6 of them.. even then in the sixth folder the muvo tx fm will only play one song.) Because of this i rule out a maximum number of folders. Will the muvo tx fm only play a certain number of songs or only play so many hours of music? I am currently converting about 20 mb of my songs to wma, as all my songs save one are in the mp3 format, and i am seeing if having maybe half of my songs in another format would help. I'll also try upgrading the firmware to see if this may fix it. But if someone has an answer now, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I too am experiencing the same problem. I have a gig tx fm and the player will only recognize 50 folders. Anything beyond that is lost; however I can play the files thru WMP0 when the player is plugged in via usb. Furthermore, 3 or 4 of the 50 folders that are visible on the player just get skipped; the files contained in them won't play. These files aren't corrupt or anything, they too will play thru WMP0. I have tried the firmware update .3.03 which lists--[*]Displays recorded tracks accurately when the player contains more than 50 folders.</LI>
as one of the included fixes. This problem is really bugging me as I have maybe a handful of songs by a variety of different artists and would prefer to keep them in separate folders by artist. If, in fact, it is true that the MuVo will only support 50 folders my whole plan for music organization is out the window. Any ideas out there since last post?

ICloud Error! The maximum number of free accounts has been activated on this iPod touch.

This is seriously annoying, I've been going around in circles trying to get my music onto my bloody iPod. I can't sync because it pauses @ Step 4: Waiting for changes to be applied error for ios7 devices. So my only option is to use iTunes Match and pay 40 bucks for it, but I think for iTunes match, you also need an iCloud account. Well I can't! Because when I go to sign into my iCloud using my Apple ID, it pops up with this error: The maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPod touch.
I'm about to give up and kill every one of Apple's employees.

So I go to make a new Apple ID, then go to my newly downloaded iCloud Control Panel for PC, and it says that this is a valid Apple ID but not an iCloud ID. I figured the only way to make an iCloud ID is to make an account on my iPod... BACK TO THE START! I can't because it gives me an error after I have created my account saying: "This device is no longer eligible for creating a free iCloud account"

Maximum number of photos in dvd slideshow - what's my best option?

I have made just one slideshow dvd - it contained 3 different slideshows, one of 90 photos, one of 120, one of 146 photos.
Now I am doing a slideshow for the celebration of life for a friend's late husband.
My problem: she has given me about 500 (maybe more) photos. I've scanned over 300 and have lots to go.
I want this to be just one slideshow so that my friend can have it playing (and looping) throughout the gathering).
Before I proceed with this huge project: HOW BIG is too big for a slideshow? I was going to do one iPhoto slideshow and then export it to iDVD. But I'm starting to wonder if this is unmanageable.
PLEASE help. What is my best course of action? How many photos can I cram into a slideshow? (I'll be adding music as I did on my previous project.)

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. If you create the slideshow in iPHoto there is no limit on the number of photos. However, there is a bug with the latest iPhoto regarding adding music to slideshows and exporting as Quicktime or directly to iDVD. There are a couple of workarounds for that.
1 - create the slideshow w/o music, add it to an iDVD slideshow (like you would a photo)

and add the music in iDVD.
2 - create the slideshow w/o music, export as a QT movie, 640 x 480. Join the music together into one new audio file with Garageband or the free Audacity, and join the two with Quicktime Pro.
You can have more than 99 photos in an iDVD slideshow but will get a pause/hesitation at slide 100, 198, and every 99 slides thereafter. That's because iDVD has to set the chapter number of slide 100 back to 1 (part of DVD international standards). If burned to good media at 4x or less you can minimize the effect although it depends a lot on the DVD player. Some handle it better than others.
FWIW I've found that I get better screen image quality when creating the slideshow in iDVD. The downside is that there's no Ken Burns effect and you can only have one transition type for the slideshow.
If you have QT Pro and want to go the join route post back and I'll describe the workflow.

Maximum number of interfaces to implement

I was searching for the maximum number of interfaces a class can implement.
The only references I found, was "more than one", "a two-byte count of the number of interfaces implemented by the class (or interface) defined" and the maximum number for the Java Card VM (15).
Does this mean that I can implement as much interfaces as I want (as long as the count of the total fits in a two-byte field - whatever that field is)?
Can anyone tell me how much exactly?

What is the maximum number of A5 artboards allowed?

Hi,
Sorry if this is a simple question but I can't find the answer anywhere.
I'm trying to create an A5 brochure in Illustrator CS6 and ideally I would like it to be 104 pages, but the maximum number of artboards I'm allowed is 100. Yet, when I set my size to A5 and number of artboards to 100 it says "Cannot fit artboards in canvas size. Please change the artboard size or number of artboards and try again." Do you know how many I'm allowed at A5 size?
Alternatively, would you recommend doing, say, 4 lots of 26 artboards and getting the printers to stitch them together when printing?

100 artboards is max.
You'd better use InDesign.

As Glen aready noted, the limit is nine for data stacking (StackWise). 3750-X power stacking (Stack Power), between stack members, is limited to 4.
Also note, large 3750 stacks can sometimes be very sluggish doing some CLI commands.
And also note, although StackWise Plus supports "spacial reuse" for unicast traffic, large stacks might congest the ring sooner.
Lastly, for very large stacks, a chassis might be a better and/or less expensive solution.

Slideshow Number of Slides

Is there a way to increase the number of slides in a theme that actually play in that theme?
I'm trying to use the sliding panels theme and it seems to run out of sliding panels and just play full slides after 15 slides.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Besides the sliding panel theme what are the other settings for your slideshow? I'm able to easily get all 31 of my test ss to play with panels. I'm not using any music, however.
