  • Maximum number of buttons for a single screen? Max Number of videos?

    I'm getting horribly slow performance (waiting for minutes at a time to do simple menu edits) and frequent crashes in Encore CS5.  It is nearly unusable.
    I have about 45 individual short clips that I want to put on a DVD.  Each clip needs to play and then return to the main menu screens (i have 3 menus set up to break up the clips).
    I have the basic structure set up (after a few dozen crashes and sluggish performance) but auto-routing on the buttons results in instant crashes and the final DVD burn doesn't follow the routing that I've set up manually.
    This software is deeply deeply flawed.  What are it's official limitations because I seem to be exceeding boundaries in many places  (even though my project isn't particularly sophisticated)?

    Adobe shouldn't enforce restrictions regarding number of buttons on a single screen!
    A warning is Ok, but this decision should be left to the user!
    Why? I burned the other day a fully functional Blu-ray disc (BDMV) with a SINGLE submenu page containing 52 text buttons (!) + RETURN button back to the Top Menu. I used Sony Media's DVD Architect (v.5.0.b) to do that. I played the disc on my Sony BDP-S550 without any problem whatsoever (as well as on my PC both the physical disc, and from the BDMV folder, using both PowerDVD and ArcSoft's software). I'm pretty confident it'll play in other players as well.
    So, in my experience it's fully possible to have a lot more than 18 buttons on a blu-ray (sub)menu, in spite the formal DVD definitions.
    I was rather disappointed to discover that Encore restrict that
    (I wanted to use Enocre since DVD Architect needed to recompress the source, I don't want that.)
    My Encore experience in this case summarized:
    - I can place all the 52 buttons on a submenu manually,
    - "Check project" is fine with that (no errors),
    - The links are Ok ("Show button routing")
    => In the "Preview", however, only the first 18 links navigate, the rest play "dead" (don't activate even if I move the mouse over those)!
    Still, if I choose a specific Chapter beyond #18 (say #39) in the field below, it plays the requested Chapter!
    How about that.
    This is an irritating and unnecessarily enforced restriction by Adobe.
    Let me decide, please!
    Cheers,
    Willy

  • What is maximum number of addressees in a single message

    I want to send a message to a large group of people.
    To how many people at once can I send my message

    Read section 'E-mail addresses':
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Limits_%28Thunderbird%29
    When sending one email to a large number of email addresses, it is better to create a 'Mailing list'.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Create_Mailing_List#Create_a_new_mailing_list
    * click on 'Address book'
    Create a mailing list which will look like a sub list to an address book.
    The email addresses need to be in the top level address book and the contact must have a valid email adress.
    * File > New > Mailing List
    * under 'Add to:' choose the main Address Book
    * under 'List Name' - give it a name.
    In my example shown in attached images, I called it 'Test'.
    you could enter the email addresses one by one in the list area, but there is a much quicker way.
    * Click on OK to close window and create the Mailing List.
    Now to add the email addresses.
    * select the main address book
    * highlight all the contacts you want in the Mailing List.
    * then left click and hold down and drag the contacts into the list which is a sub list to that address book.
    see first image. Personal Address Book is the top level address book and Test is the Mailing List.
    Then you aready to use the Mailing List.
    There are two methods, choose whichever method is best for the situation.
    Method 1:
    * Open a new Write message.
    * Make sure the Contact Sidebar is visible
    * View > Contact Sidebar
    * Select the top level address book
    * Look in the list of contacts for the Mailing List name.
    * Select and click on 'Addto Bcc' or other option.
    see second image.
    It will enter the name of the Mailing List - not the individual names.
    You cannot edit the list via this method.
    If you really want to see all the indiviual names, so that you can edit the list then you need to use a slightly different method.
    Method 2:
    * In Address Book
    * Select the Mailing List.
    * Click on 'Write'
    This will enter each individual name in it's own TO field.
    At this point you can choose to change the TO option to Bcc, but it is a bit long winded, which is why I showed you the first option to enter the whole list as Bcc. You can also edit the list - maybe to remove someone.
    Remember, which ever method you use, it is always a good idea to include at least one name in a TO field. such as your own email address if you do not want to disclose all your contacts email addresses. Some servers can think it may be spam if there is nothing in a TO field.

  • How much storage units can be added in the single bin.

    Hi all,
    Can anybody tell me how much storage units can be added in the single bin.
    Dev

    Hi Dev,
    AS Prashant & Abhijit mentioned above the maximum storage units in a single bin is based on various factors such the putaway strategy & capacity check you have set for your storage type as well as palletization data.
    Now in case of Bulk Storage which you have mentioned above, please go through the below F1 help for the block structure.
    In bulk storage, you need to define for each block (or row) how many
    storage units fit into the block.  For this purpose, you must define
    both the number of columns as well as the maximum stack height.  *The*
    product of these factors usually gives the maximum number of storage
    +units and is determined automatically by the system.  However, it is+
    possible to change the maximum number of storage units to a lower number
    if the storage bin or the material features require this.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Maximum number of MRAS requests / allocations per user?

    Hello,
    I have a test C++ SIP application that registers to a Lync edge server and is able to perform MRAS requests to it.
    The MRAS responses allow me to create TURN allocations on the TURN component of the edge server. However, I seem to be hitting a limit with the number of simultaneous TURN allocations I can create with a single registration.  I seem to be able to create
    a maximum of 50 TURN allocations for that single registration.
    Is this a configurable option - either per user / per edge server etc - for the maximum number of TURN allocations a single Lync user can simultaneously have?  Or is there anything else I can put in the SIP/TURN signalling to increase this limit?
    Many thanks,
    Simon

    Hi,
    You may need to custom your own Lync server, so you might post the issue on Lync MSDN forum and more developing expert will help to verify the information using Lync SDK. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Maximum number of concurrent users

    What is the maximum number of concurrent users any single given Airport can handle? I believe it is ten...
    Thank you!

    If the AirPort is configured to create a wireless network, the AirPort Express can handle up to 10 users. The AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule will handle up to 50.

  • Maximum number of "Single values" accepted in "Multiple Selection"

    Hello gurus. I wonder if you could help me with this.
    You know how in transactions like the Data Browser (SE16), you want to look up records in a table, for example MARA.
    If you want to list only individual values, then you can press the yellow arrow to the right of the fields, and this opens the "Multiple Selection" window. In it you can add single values, ranges, etc.
    My question is, what is the maximum number of single values that you can put in here?
    For example, sometimes if I put like 5000 lines, instead of getting a result I get an ABAP runtime error that reads:
    Runtime errors         DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
    Exception              CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    "Error in the module RSQL accesing the database interface".
    But if I put around 1500 or less, then I don't have that problem. It lists the results just fine.
    How do I know what the maximum number of lines these functions allow?

    Hi
    Yes even I had the same experience and based on my several tests I dont put more than 2000 valeues.
    Please advice if you have any question.
    Thanks

  • Maximum number of user mailboxes supported by single Exchange Database in 2007 / 2010 & 2013 ?

    What is the Maximum number of user mailboxes supported by single Exchange Database  in 2007 / 2010 & 2013 ?
    Aditya Mediratta

    Agree with Keith, there is no MB # limit, however there are practical concerns such as DB size and how that effects recoverability as well as performance.   In terms of extremes we had one major educational customer that had 35K Mailboxes in
    a single database so you can utilize a ridiculous # of mailboxes in a DB if desired.  IMO you are better off to keep the # of mailboxes to a reasonable level, i.e. no more than 250-500 mailboxes per DB
    Search, Recover, & Extract Mailboxes, Folders, & Email Items from Offline Exchange Mailbox and Public Folder EDB's and Live Exchange Servers or Import/Migrate direct from Offline EDB to Any Production Exchange Server, even cross version i.e. 2003 -->
    2007 --> 2010 --> 2013 with Lucid8's

  • Maximum number of Airport Express Units to be used with Airtunes?

    Anyone know the "MAXIMUM" number of ABEs that can be used simultaneously with Airtunes?
    And how much bandwith "each" unit would occupy?
    I believe the MAX number of Airport Extreme/Express units in a WDS network is 5, would that be the answer? Or could it be more than that if the ABE's were setup as clients?
    Thanks.
    Jason

    I think I remember seeing somewhere that the limit was 3. The problem you run into is that each Express requires its own UDP stream. At 700 megabits per second per Express, it starts chewing up bandwidth rather quickly.

  • I've a Single Folio app with 1526 articles. Its there a maximum number for articles per Folio?

    Helo! I've created a Single Folio app with 1526 articles.
    It works in the generic Adobe Content Viewer, but does not work on my custom App.
    It shutdowns after splash window.
    Could someone help me?
    Elismar

    Changing settings? What part of setting?
    My guess is that if you have so many articles, and each article need some particular files in the .folio file, then the Viewer make a mistake trying load all files in the same moment, causing auto shutdown. And, I'm using the iPad 3 to test it.
    So, would be fine if someone could give me numbers about the maximum number of articles suggested to put in a Folio Issue.
    And yes, I'm publishing the Bible!

  • Is there any recommended maximum number of deployed application to a single user/computer?

    Hi!
    As the title says, i wonder if there is any recommended maximum number of deployed application to a single user/computer?
    I have about 60-70 applications in my environment, how would the performance be affected if I would make these available for all computers or users to install? I guess its only the client that would be affected right?
    How intense is the process that checks if applications is installed, applicable etc..
    Thanks!
    //Samus

    There will be n/w  Performance impact, consider if all the applications are being downloaded on the machines for install by users since its Available install ,consider few users are initiating the install from application catalog for few application
    then it will impact the n/w performance, various things are also into considered.

  • Is there a maximum number of small mp3 files that can be in a single flash file

    my flash program fails to respond after adding one more mp3 file to the mix. Is there a maximum number of files it accepts? I have tested the mp3 file on a new fla file and there is nothing wrong with it.

    there are maximums to to everything in flash including scenes, frames, layers etc and there are computer memory limits.

  • Maximum number of photos that can be imported into an iPhoto library?

    1. Does iPhoto have a maximum number of files or photos that it can handle in a single library?
    I have a lot of photos (20GB) that have not yet been imported into an iPhoto Library. I am going to set up a new library with the iPhoto Library Manager (iPLM), but am wondering if there is a maximum number of files that can be handled in a single library?
    2. Also, I don't think I want to import these, since that would create an iPhoto library as large as the source files. Are there any problems if I set up the preferences so that this library will not have the graphics imported into it?
    3. With iPLM, can you have different sets of preferences for each library?
    Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

    1. Does iPhoto have a maximum number of files or photos that it can handle in a single library?
    Apple advertises that iPhoto will handle 250,000 photos - I doubt that anyone has come close to that (or will)
    I have 19,278 in 237 events - 22 GB - on a G5 iMac and it is snappy with no issues

    If you want those should be fine in one library

    It is a choice - if you do NOT import them then you will be responsible for all future management - deleting, etc. Moving to a different location or computer is much more difficult if you reference your photos instead of importing them.
    Many people import them, burn the original source photos to CD or DVD and delete them from their disk letting iPhoto manage them
    3. With iPLM, can you have different sets of preferences for each library?
    I'm not sure but I do not think so

  • Increasing maximum number of Logical Processors in a Processor Group greater than the default (64)

    Can the maximum number of Logical Processors allowed in a Processor Group be increased by Bcdedit command or registry key to a number greater than the default (64) to allow non-group-aware applications to seamlessly scale via multithreading across more cores
    MSDN documents methods to reduce the max number of LP's in a Processor Group to 1 or any power of 2 less than 64 in order to increase the number of Processor Groups.  But there is no discussion of how to increase the maximum number of Logical Processors
    allowed in a Processor Group to a number greater than the default (64), e.g. to 128 or 256.
    Since a non-group-aware application/process can only run on 1 Processor Group, increasing this limit is needed to allow non-group-aware multithreaded applications to scale seamlessly for parallel computation across more than 64 cores simultaneously on systems
    with more than 64 cores (for example, a quad-socket Intel Xeon system with 24 cores per socket, including true and hyper cores).  If that limit can be set via registry key or command line, or if there is another way to force all the cores on
    all 4 sockets (4 NUMA nodes in this case) to join in 1 Processor Group, then non-group-aware applications will not need to be rewritten using group-aware thread-affinity APIs.

    Hi John,
    Are you trying to specify a static NUMA-node-to-group assignment, rather than letting Windows dynamically assign NUMA nodes to groups at boot time? If yes, You can refer the
    following related KB:
    How to manually configure K-Group assignment on multiprocessor machines
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2506384
    Systems with fewer than 64 logical processors always have a single group, Group 0. On systems with 64 or fewer processors, existing applications will operate correctly without
    modification. Applications that do not call any functions that use processor affinity masks or processor numbers will operate correctly on all systems, regardless of the number of processors. To operate correctly on systems with more than 64 logical processors,
    the following kinds of applications might require modification:
    •Applications that manage, maintain, or display per-processor information for the entire system must be modified to support more than 64 logical processors. An example of
    such an application is Windows Task Manager, which displays the workload of each processor in the system.
    •Applications for which performance is critical and that can scale efficiently beyond 64 logical processors must be modified to run on such systems. For example, database
    applications might benefit from modifications.
    •If an application uses a DLL that has per-processor data structures, and the DLL has not been modified to support more than 64 logical processors, all threads in the application
    that call functions exported by the DLL must be assigned to the same group.
    By design, a non-NUMA computer is considered to have one NUMA node. Because NUMA nodes cannot span groups, the system creates a node for each group after you restart the computer.
