Maximum permitted credit limits in FD32

Hi Guru's,
What is the use of Total Amount field in Maximum permitted credit limits tab in FD32.
I have searched in SDN as everybody is telling the same thing..
Total Amount: 10,000 INR (Overall Credit Limit in all credit control areas)
Individual Limit: 4,000 INR
All credit control area means ??
Pls guide me with good example..
Thanks
Azeez.Mohd

Dear Azeez,
You use each Customer Code in particular Sales Area & Company Code.
Now as these two are independent Organizational Elements the credit limits are controlled by Credit Control Area.
Thus each Company Code is assigned to Credit Control Area & also each Sales Area is assigned to Credit Control Areas.
Now it may happen that a single Customer buys from different Company Codes or different Sales Areas. Thus according to accounting principles we cannot let same Customer who has huge outsanding debit in one Company code or Sales area, freely buy from other Company code or Sales Area.
Thus it may happen that one Customer belongs to multiple Credit Control Areas. so you have the option in FD32 tio set Credit Limitt for single Credit Control Area & multiple Credit Control Areas.
E.g. Customer Code 1005 (who belongs to 3 CCA) has total Credit Limit of Rs. 1,00,000 but maximum Rs. 35000 in each CCA. Thus if this Customer hits an outstanding of Rs. 35000 in any CCA his Credit A/c would be blocked for all CCA...
Hope this is clear...
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta

  • Tab u201CCurrent credit limits assignedu201D  & u201CMaximum permitted credit limits"

    Hi,
Please explain the diferrence between the tab u201CCurrent credit limits assignedu201D  and the tab u201CMaximum permitted credit limitsu201D  in the Central Data of general data in FD32.
In the first case it is written like this:
    Current credit limits assigned:
    Total amount:
    Largest individual limit:
    and
    Maximum permitted credit limits:
    Total amount:
    Maximum individual limit:
    Thanks,
    Jans

    Hi,
Please note the below details as required:-
In the Central Data Screen, you can enter the Total Limit and Individual Limit. This is applicable when a customer is assigned to several credit contral areas (via different company codes), and there is a total limit for the customer for all of the credit control areas and an individual limit for the specific credit control area. The Currency becomes important because different credit control areas can have different currencies.

  • Current credit limit higher than maximum permitted

I am looking at a customer in transaction FD32. It appears that the customers' current credit limit assigned is higher than their maximum permitted credit limit.
    i.e. current credit limit = $22,000
    maximum permitted = $20,000
This has occurred for several customers. How is this possible? Can the current credit limit be decreased back down to $20,000?
    Thanks,

    Hi ,
Kindly note that the field KNKA - KLIMG , refers to the credit limit for all the credit control area for that customer , and the KNKK-KLIMK Upper limit for the recievables in that particular credit control area ,hence for the example mentioned the sum of the credit limit for individual credit control area does not exceed the total limit .

  • Can we maintain division specific credit limits?

    Hi All,
we have one company code & one Cr.Control area.
but we have 2 sales areas.
    eg: 1000/10/AA &
    1000/10/BB.
My client wants to maintain division specific credit limits like
    div:AA- $4000
    & BB- $6000.
Total Credit control area limit -$10000.
in FD32- we can maintain customer/cr.control area specific limits only.
Can we maintain division specific?if yes, where can we enter 2 different limits to same customer.
    plzz reply asap.
    *reward points sure

Sol'n:  for all those who would like to know, what we have adopted is,
We create Sales area wise Credit control areas & assigned to respective sales area in IMG as well as in CMR.
we have assigned multiple credit control areas to a single comp code
( IMG - FI - AR/AP- Credit Management - Credit Control account - Assign Permitted Cr.control areas for Comp code)
    then,
    In FD32-
Maintained Customer credit sheet as desired such as
    Cr.Control -1 = $4000
    Cr.Control - 2 = $6000
But the thing is we have to manually monitor these limits at the time of FD32 creation ( what is max credit limit we are offering, how much is allocated for particular Cr.Control area which means division)
    Hope it helps in understanding.

  • Forward to gmail/hotmail Event ID 3030 552 5.7.0 Number of Received: DATA headers exceeds maximum permitted

A user wants me to forward his Exchange 2003 recipient’s email to his Gmail account.
In Active Directory Users and Computers I created a Contact and then in the recipient “Delivery Options” Forward to: I put that contact.
He receives all the forwards of email created internally at Gmail, but only some email that comes from external domains make it to Gmail.
Most (but not all) external email when forwarded to his Gmail account, by Exchange 2003, creates an NDR (non-delivery report) saying “DATA headers exceeds maximum permitted” (shown below). I’m pretty sure this message is generated by Exchange 2003 because it
is the same if the external, forwarded to, account is Gmail or Hotmail.
Any ideas how to solve this?

    Hi,
Based on the error Number of 'Received:' DATA headers exceeds maximum permitted. This message header size could exceeds message header size limits.
Message header size limits  These limits apply to the total size of all message header fields that are present in a message. The size of the message body or attachments isn’t considered. Because the header fields
are plain text, the size of the header is determined by the number of characters in each header field and by the total number of header fields. Each character of text consumes 1 byte.
So, please check the message header size limits setting on receive connector by the following cmdlet:
Get-ReceiveConnector “Connector name” | FL MaxHeaderSize
Then check the problematic message header and compare them to check this issue. If these message header exceeds the message header size limit, we can use the following cmdlet to change the maximum header size:
    Set-ReceiveConnector “Connector Name” –MaxHeaderSize “value”
The MaxHeaderSize parameter specifies in bytes the maximum size of the SMTP message header that the Receive connector accepts before it closes the connection. The default value is 65536 bytes. When you enter a value, qualify the value with one of
    the following units:
    B (bytes)
    KB (kilobytes)
    MB (megabytes)
    GB (gigabytes)
Unqualified values are treated as bytes. The valid input range for this parameter is from 1 through 2147483647 bytes.
Note: Some third-party firewalls or proxy servers apply their own message header size limits. These third-party firewalls or proxy servers may have difficulty processing messages that contain attachment file names that are greater than 50 characters
or attachment file names that contain non-US-ASCII characters.

  • Credit limits for the same Customer for different countries.

    Hi SAP Gurus,
A customer belongs to 2 different countries, the credit limits are maintained  in FD32 for one country.
But basing on the "country" the credit limits should change for the same customer.
So how we need to handle FD32 in this scenario. Is there any option to maintain credit limits basing on the "Country"?
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi ,
sales area wise , you can differentiate the credit limit . In this case , you can have one more credit control area and assign it to new sales area. it the same customer comes under diff country , extend the customer  to the new sales area . By doing so, you can have 2 credit limits for the same customer.

  • Credit Limits in Divisions

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario wherein I have Customer "X" existing in 3 divisions D1, D2, D3. How do I give different Credit limits for X in D1 Rs.100k, in D2 Rs. 50K and in D3 Rs. 75K.
I do not want to create 3 seperate master data for X.
    Pls. suggest.
    Vinod

    Hi
If all the divisions belong to same company code then it is not possible
If it is of different company codes then the option suggested bt Mr.Sivanand MIGHT work
See credit limit for a customer is defined for credit control area in FD32
In turn a company code will be assigned to only one credit control area
Credit limit for a customer applies for the products purchased by him in all divisions
Moreover in real time FI people have the bigger say in these Credit issues
    Check with them
    Hope it clarifies

  • Difference between Credit Limit of FD32 and OB52

    Hello All,
I am configuring Sales Credit management but i got confused in these two T-CODES while assigning credit limits. What is the difference between FD32 Credit Limit and OB52 Credit Limit. If we assign credit limit in OB52 then why we assign in FD32.
Also kindly help me how to assign roles for credit limit means authorization in sales credit management.
    Best Regards
    Roshan

    Dear roshan100
Credit lomit only set for the respective customer in FD32-(Customer credit master) only,OB52 will not be used for credit limit maintenance .OB52 is for setting posting periods.
    While comming to authorizations
Once a sales order is raised and blocked for credit limit it has to be released by an authorized person or a credit manager. This depends upon the business process of respective clients.
These blocked sales orders or deliveries will be released in VKM3 and VKM5 transaction codes respectively.
So some users will create the orders and deliveries in VA01 andVL01N ,for them we don't give authorizations for the t-codes VKM3 and VKM5 .For Only the credit managers will get the authorizations to go vkm3 and vkm5 t.codes for releasing the blocked orders and deliveries.
This authorizations will be set by the basis consultants according to the user statuses.
    Thanks&Regards

  • Incorrect Sales order value was updated in credit Master data(FD32 in open

    Hi All
User created a sales order with 10 lineitems and Net value&total value is same for this sales order - 4010 Dollers, but when we check in Report(RVKRED88)the same order value is displaying as 7,8912 Dollers instead of 4010 Dollers and same amount(7,8912 dollers)is updated in open sales order value in credit master data(FD32) for that peritculer customer code, now credit percentage showing 430%, due to this reason the user is unable to release a new sales order for this customer code.
Already we run the credit re-organization program - RVKRED77 to correct value in credit master data(FD32) for this customer code but still it was not updated in FD32 and the report RVKRED88
because  of this user's are unable to release the next sales order due to this problem for this particular customer,i would  highly appriciate if i get a solution.

I have noticed that while posting to a customer X through F-38, no entry has been made for credit control area.

Does anyone know a way how to make an entry in credit control area field,....?

  • Bank Guarantee and Cash Credit Limits in SAP

    Dear SAP Gurus,
How  Bank Guarantee or Cash credit limits are maintained in SAP? How to do configuiration of it?
    Thanxs
    Regards,
    Divyesh.

    Hi,
Credit limits are set for the Customers depending on the nature of business, their repayment pattern.
This comes under Credit Management which you configure through Credit Control Area and set
credit limits to monitor the customer credit worthiness and ageing analysis.  Regarding Bank Guarantee and letter of credits, they are normally for export customers which comes under Risk and Credit Management in Sales & Distribution Basic data.  You refer to SAP pdf searching through Google for SAP's SDBFCM pdf file which gives you total scenario regarding setting of credit limits and Bank Guarantee etc.

  • Multiple Credit Limits

    Background
I am implementing SAP SD where there are two main separate business in one company.  One customer can buy products from both business. Credit limits are defined separate for the same customer as the sales team of both business are different.
    Question
    a) I am trying to persuade to the client that we should define centralized one credit limit for the common customers who deal with both business. Hence one credit control area will be defined in SAP. Can you please let me know the advantages of single credit limit for one customer?
The only problem business will face is that for example: Customer A was assigned credit limit 1000 Rupees. Business A and Business B gets problem that what % of credit limit they should offer to customer for each business.
    b) To fulfil the business requirement of defining separate credit limit for one/common customers for both businesses, i will go for the option of defining separate credit control area and can define separate credit limits. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this option?
    c) How to configure multiple credit limits for one customer ?

How many company codes you are defining?
You can follow de cenrolized Credit Management.
Please follow the below link, it will explain you the config steps you required.

  • Exceede maximum permitted runtime

    Hello All,
I am handling sales tax return report. It’s working fine in development system but in production system because of heavy data it’s dumping. The reason for this dump is “Has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime “, below one  is the statement where it’s dumping.
SELECT fwste MWSKZ FWBAS  from bset INTO (itab3-fwste,ITAB3-MWSKZ,ITAB3-FWBAS)  WHERE belnr = itab1-beln and mwskz in ('B1','B2','B3','B4','B6','B5','A3').
DO anyone now what’s may be the main reason for this error & have the solution for it.
    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
The only reason of the dump analysis is that the query you hv written taking to much time to extract data from BSET table.
Please consider primary key combination while extracting data from any table.
Use the following code for fine tunning.
<b>SELECT fwste MWSKZ FWBAS from bset INTO (itab3-fwste,ITAB3-MWSKZ,ITAB3-FWBAS)
    WHERE bukrs = itab1-bukrs and
    belnr = itab1-beln and
    gjahr = itab1-gjahr and
    mwskz in ('B1','B2','B3','B4','B6','B5','A3').</b>
<b>Please select teh data based on company code, document number and fiscal year combination.</b>
This will work more faster then wt you hv written.
    <b>
    Rewards points if useful.</b>

    Hello All,
I am handling Insurance utilization report. It gives you information whether Insurance is covered by Consigner , Consignee or Insurance not required
It's dumping in the production system because it's taking to much time to retrieve the data. The error message was <b>"Has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime without interruption, and has been terminated"</b>

    Hello,
Since your posting does not contain any information on the amount of data and used access path it's impossible to give any advice.
    Some remarks:
    - run the report in batch environment, in this case rdisp/max_wprun_time is ignored.
    - DB2 for z/OS or DB2 for LUW(DB6) ? If DB6 move the thread to the DB6 forum
    - if SAP standard report, open a problem ticket at SAP

  • The program "RIAFVC20 " has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime

    Hi  ,
When running transaction IW49 we get a shortdump
Details of Abap run time error follows
The program "RIAFVC20 " has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime
    and has therefore been terminated.
Can I have solution why this is happening.
    Thanks In advance
    Regards
    Suresh kanna

    Hello Suresh,
It means the program has exceed maximum work process runtime value set to paramter rdisp/max_wprun_time in your system. If you believe this program runs beyond that value, I suggest you to run the program in background.
If you can't run this in background, then increase the value of paramter rdisp/max_wprun_time. It is dynamic parameter (RZ11) where you don't need to restart SAP system after parameter change.
    Hope your query is answered.
    Thanks,
    Siva Kumar
